Look no further for your tire hookup ! I shopped at 6 tire stores in the Hilo area and K&J came in at $150 cheaper than the next lowest tire shop . The tire tech was awesome ! Fixed my internal tire pressure gauge that lights up my dashboard and explained to me some other concerns with my car by the way my old tires looked ! That's customer service . Was in and out under an hour , free tire rotations . Great office staff ! Kind and helpful giving my referrals to other local companies for my car needs . Save the hassle of looking for the best place in Hilo for tires , I have done the leg work for you !

Always Reliable!I ve relied on K&J for all my tire replacement/maintenance needs for nearly 10 years. I often call/am seen same day with their flexible drop off option. They have a range of tire price options, and also offer complementary tire rotation annually (but I usually forget); my tires last 2-3 years at 10-12k miles a year.

What an awesome place, called at 10:30 drove down and had new front tires by 11:40. I can't think of any other place that is that quick. Great customer service to boot. 10/10

Love this place. Always busy but always willing to help. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of planning a flat tire or a tire loosing air. They guys have helped me on the fly a couple times. Love this place. Will only go here if it can be helped at all!

Kind people. Professional ethic. Awesome office cats.Prices are spot on, and given the exceptional level of service it feels like a bargain. None of the ridiculous wait times or hidden fees you might find at the chain stores.

I went to K&J by recommendation of a friend. I m glad I did! The guys in the garage are really cool. They didn t try to upsell me anything. Just an honest crew of guys who seem to enjoy what they do. Would definitely recommend this place. Good vibes!UPDATE 12/27/23 - Ok so I went back to get two new tires, then immediately after I picked up a nail with one of the brand new tires. I went straight back to get it fixed. They plugged it free of charge because it was such bum luck and they felt sympathetic. What a cool business! 10/10 recommend this place.

Awesome, Awesome Awesome is all I can say.Checked tire pricing online by email, they emailed me back in 20 minutes with a Tire quote , was able to make appointment the next day at MY CONVENIENCE, when I got there, told the wonderful Young Lady I had appointment, she asked for my name and that was it. They took my car 10 minutes later and I was on my way home 30 minutes later.They even rotated my rear tires to the front and Balanced them at no charge. And I was more than willing to pay for that service. I have used them at least 4 times for tires and tire repairs and they have ALWAYS went above and beyond my expectations.Thank you sooo much.

Extremely helpful with recommending tires at a very reasonable price. Bought 3 sets from them already and am very happy with their customer service by Steph, his mom, and it also flows down to their employees. Great teamwork!

Good Service, the understanding salesperson/business owner provided different tire options with different price points. I was able to get a same day appointment and service was half an hour less than expected and my rims weren't scratched or damaged. K & J is a locally owned and operated company providing good prices against the big brand companies. Thanks for doing such a great job! Sometimes there is a wait at the counter but be patient, they are providing good service and they will take the time to take care of you too.

Fast, friendly service. I needed a new tire and was able to get an appointment at 3 the same day and was out of there by 3:20. Prices are comparable to other tire shops in town.

Excellent service! Called ahead to make appointment for mounting a set of tires and since they were off the vehicle they were able to fit me right into their busy morning schedule. 30.00 a tire they even helped carry the rims and tires from my transporting vehicle to the shop and got started right away. They took care not to add any more scuffs to the rims and left very minimal mounting grease super easy to clean off after. Very awesome service! Best tire experience in hilo ive had by far.

Super helpful and walked me through step by step of what needed to be done. Made sure I was able to drive my car safely and not get stalled. The guys there were dedicated to making sure the problems were fixed and that I wouldn t run into the same difficulties, I am super appreciative! Mahalo K&J!

Had a nail in my tire. Made appointment to have it fixed, appointment at 1030, K&J called me for pickup at 420, 20 minutes after they close. I don't live super close so had them lock it up overnight for pickup the next day. Seemed like the right thing to do. Show up to pickup in the am, they can't find my keys. They locked them in the vehicle. Not a single apology, barely a thank you for your business. The only good thing I can say for this experience was the fix cost 30 dollars which seems reasonable. They did offer to drive me home and back to get a spare key, however then went about doing something else, and ended up calling my wife to bring the key.

I could not be happier with the service I received. I walked in without an appointment with a super bad tire (just 1) and I was 60 miles from home. They happily sold me 1 tire to get me home. No pressure to buy anything else. Already had appointment for next day for brakes with my regular mechanic now alignment too. I would not have made it home without their help. Thank you so very much. I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience with these folks!!

Absolutely terrible service! Bought two sets of tires from K & J over the years and customer service was never that outstanding, but at least they never kept me waiting for rotations. Called to make 6 month apt and had to leave name and #. No return call so figured mix-up. Called again next day and older woman answered. She asked me for my name and # and said she would call me right back. Once again..no call back. Such rude behavior for an old customer. Today went in person and the 3 employees behind the counter completely ignored me for 10 minutes. I was the only person waiting and stood there like a fool. No 'Hello" no 'sorry for the wait' no nothing! What a shame to see this happen. Deliberate work slow down from the employees??? Not sure but something wrong somewhere..

I had visited another facility twice in this week and was very disappointed with the service. My problem was not solved.I found these guys very close to where I live now and they were more than helpful. They were clearly very busy and and asked politely if I could wait then he could help. So I waited about thirty minutes which is what he quoted me. He brought my Subaru in the shop and had an answer in 5 minutes. The tire I was having an issue with was clearly damaged and I don t know if the other shop I went to was just being lazy or didn t care... either way these guys instantly earned my trust. On top of it I needed a new tire that was not in stock which is understandable but, they got it ordered for me and even installed a loaner tire for me.After a simple visit like this how could you go anywhere else!

SUPER AWESOME!! I priced 4 other tire shops in town and these guys had what I needed for 1/2 the price as all the others. They got me in and out right away too.

I'm always amazed at the length the guys here go to provide excellent service. I came in looking for lug nuts for my wheels because I had lost one while swapping them, and the owner himself came and ran through some pieces to make sure I grabbed the right set. He even had the boys put my truck on the lift and swap the lug nuts for me. It was done in 10 minutes, all without me even asking. Always blown away every time I come here. I'm never going anywhere else for wheels and tires ever again.

Had slow leak in our car rental tire. They were very friendly and fixed it immediately. Saved so much time on our vacation. Mahalo!!!!

Great service and really good prices. I highly recommend them. Was told by another local place that they couldn't fix my tire, but these guys fixed our tire and go us up and running quickly. They made a customer for life!

They have always been accommodating when I have walked in instead of making an appointment. Never had a problem getting tires as they keep a good stock of them. I have a car with 13 inch tires that are really common. Sears runs out. Goodyear didn't have either. They always have them and cheaper too. Cats in the office are nice too.

K&J Tire Center is BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL! This establishment wrote the book on Customer Service. The staff is very friendly and informative. I needed my tire fixed and they went far and above my expectations. They are affordable and I literally left the building with a huge smile on my face!
