Service rep Denise is as professional and efficient as always, and relaxed and pleasant even when alone and busy. Service rep Brittni, as always, is the same, with efficient communications she is wonderful. Gareth the mechanic is also great at personally communicating the nature of repair issues and suggesting addressing noticed potential problems. Louis, the service manager, was also very helpful in answering warranty questions, and was wonderfully personable and pleasant. What a team. They should all be commended!Thanks!

Service was 4 star. Only 1 service agent handling several customers. Waiting 30 minutes after my car was completed to pay bill and leave. Also the selection for my particular car was extremely limited. Good thing is they stay open later than Lex Brodie's by 1 hour so they got my business.

Service writer listened to my description of the symptoms, and had it done quickly at a reasonable price. I'm a car guy but the electrical symptoms were strange to me and my attempted fixes didn't solve the problem. By the symptoms I feared it would be much worse, like a fried computer and alternator, but it turned out to only need a new battery. Very relieved and satisfied.

Poor Customer ServiceWalked into this location 30 minutes ago because my car shut off while I was driving. I wanted a diagnostic done to find out why it happened and what caused it. The elderly woman told me "they do NOT have technicians to address my problem especially if it's the engine?!@?" What?!!! Are you not Firestone a complete auto care company? The operative word is "complete". Directly behind this woman was a sign that said engine repair. Wow. So, Firestone does repair engines. I could not get an appointment with the dealer who sold me my car until March. I told this woman that as well. She told me to keep my appointment with the dealer because that's what she would do. She didn't make any effort to look for an available appointment. I've had an account with Firestone for many years in the States. The Hilo location is by far the worst Firestone I've ever been to.

Bought a lifetime alignment. Had the necessary front end component replaced by a different mechanic. Was informed that i needed some parts and $500labor to be able to align. I said okay. When finished was informed a different problem existed with castor and could not be adjusted. Paid and left. Went to my other mechanic and he found my rear passenger tire was at40lbs and all the rest at 36?????? I check and keep all my tires at 36. And its rattling like they left something loose. So not okay with this service

The entire staff was extremely professional and helpful, especially Denise Martinez. Her customer service goes above and beyond. I happened to be there on a rather hectic day. My service was delayed a bit due to this, as were others. Denise, however, emitted a genuine calm and concern for each customer. I can not say enough about my experience. I highly recommend using Firestone Complete for your basic auto needs.

I bought brand new race tires online (not specialty size, 225/45/17) for track wheels and was looking to get them just mounted and balanced. (Wheels were off the car) I got quoted nearly $300. Probably takes 15mins. Ridiculously expensive

I was heading to town for an appointment when the service light came on. the next morning I had another appointment at 8:30 am. I stopped at Firestone on my way to that appointment asked if they could set me up to have my car serviced after my appointment. They put me on the schedule and I got my service done without having to drive into town which would have caused me to drive approx. 160 miles round trip and another day to do that.

This place is so lazy. I go in there to buy two new tires because one of mines popped. I had the spare on the car so I expected them to put the new tire where the spare was, but no they tell me my car is ready I drive all the way home because I think it s fine. I get home and I see the spare still on there and the new tire in the trunk. Like please with all the tools you have how hard is it to rotate them. They put the other new tire in the back but couldn t put the other tire in the back too. Ridiculous!

They canceled on me last minute, for a check up that would not take more than a half hour, then said they can't get me in for another week. Apparently they got busy, well if that's the issue then stay later to fulfill your commitment! Don't rely on them.

I had Firestone inspect my vehicle, after I told them I had an issue with my suspension and maybe other things.They get back to me and tell me it's the transmission and they won't touch it.I was shocked but assuming they were experts to some degree I want to Toyota and paid for them to check the transmission. They found nothing wrong with the transmission... But many things wrong with my suspension like 3 out of 4 struts needed replacing, a couple CV joints, a sway bar and more.This happened 3 or 4 months ago. Still can't believe the incompetency I experience with Firestone and how I didn't follow my intuition enough to tell them to take a 2nd look.

Had a vehicles front end inspected at this location. After the inspection, while driving the vehicle home, I noticed a loud annoying rattle coming from under the vehicle. I could tell it was some kind of a metal cover for the exhaust system like maybe the catalytic converter. I took the vehicle back to have them get rid of the annoying rattle that obviously started from one of their mechanics. I was told that I had a stone and that's why there's a rattle coming from under the vehicle.A stone!I was told that I hit a stone.This came to me is a total surprise as I did not hit any kind of a stone after leaving the first time. Possibly the mechanic has been hitting stones if ya know what I mean. Also, there's no visible damage underneath the vehicle of any kind of stone hitting.What we have here is another example of a business in Hilo that will not take responsibility for their mistakes and put blame on the customer. Who really wants to argue with a secretary or a mechanic, wright complaint letters to corporate offices, or even go to court over silly minor situations as this?I choose not to do so and are the reasons why I will never bring a vehicle back to this location.

Service is decent, but good luck getting anything done on Friday afternoon. Also, they're basically by appointment only even though walk-ups are technically accepted. Just expect to wait an hour or two.Prices are competitive and coupons available, but... Make sure to check your tires aren't misaligned (intentionally?) when you get new tires and decline the additional alignment charge. Simple tire change shouldn't misalign everything.

As passenger in a customers car I recently witnessed how the mechanics and office manager arranged for the air pressure to be taken. Although busy my friends air pressure light went on. Once they registered her as an existing customer the air pressure wae corrected in all four tires within fifteen minutes!!

Got a new set of tires for my jeep and I was well taken care of. The customer service representative was helpful and knowledgeable. It took some time because they were busy, but they got me taken care of at a good price! I d highly recommend going here for your automotive needs.Update: I had further issues with my Jeep that I was unwilling to deal with myself so I took it back to the folks at Firestone. I got a new clutch installed and an alignment......then she died. After much head scratching and mechanical back and forthing, they figured out my issue and my Jeep is happily running me where I need to go! Did it take a while? Yes. Was I frustrated a bit? Yes. These guys are mechanics not gods and sometimes a problem is more complex than it first appears. Kudos to the guys for figuring out my issue!No business is perfect and there are areas for improvement for sure, but they care about their customers and I'm very satisfied.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Oil change

I called, got a specific detailed price for purchase of two tires, installed, tax, etc.... a quote for a total out-the-door price. Made an appointment. When I went in for the appointment, they raised the price! I told the service writer the problem. They didn't care. I said I don't do business with companies that lie to me, and left, never to go there again.

They forgot that we dropped off our car and we had to wait an extra 7 hours in town. Then they installed our tire with a missing lugnut. They also upcharge cheap tires so that they can give false discounts. Additionally, they refused to honor the original tire warranty.The original tires that we purchased from them were of very low quality.

I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I arrived about 10-15 minutes early and was checked in. After waiting for and hour and 40 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment I asked about the restroom since it was marked as 'out of order'. I was told the closest functioning restroom is at KTA. That's when I noticed my car was parked in the lot. When I asked if it was finished they told me it would be the next one taken in. They hadn't even started my oil change. Had I been told upon arriving that they were running very late I would have happily rescheduled. Instead, I wasted my afternoon and walked away with no service whatsoever. Avoid this place if you can.Service: Oil change

I needed new tires right away because I was hydroplaning on Saddle Road. Firestone had a good selection of tires in stock. I went online & made an appointment for the next day. My new tires were installed and my wheels were aligned within 3 hours, including my oil change. (I was waiting for the light to come on! ) Thank you, Louis & the rest of the hardworking folks at Hilo Firestone!

They could have made me buy new tires instead of just checking it for air, but they checked it and I paid $23.00 but saved me $1300

Booked an appointment for 11:30. They gave no indication over the phone of any wait time. I didn t see an oil pan go under my truck until 3pm. It took 4+ hours for this shop to do a simple oil change. They are overbooking appointments and can t handle the workload.

Got there at 9am transactions done around 9:20 or 9:30. But the wait was like 3 hours got out at 12:30. Plus customers should have a bathroom in working order waiting for 3 hours, had to go across to KTA to use bathroom uncalled for. This is a business with paying customers why would these customers have to go else where to use the fricken bathroom, FIX IT FIRESTONE no excuses.

For a place of business they never seem to be staffed to even handle the volume that the business gets. Been there twice and watched as customer waited and left do the long lines. As well as both times I was told that they where unable to do the service I asked "ac service" with no posting telling me it was unavailable so I waited the 10 minutes just to be told they where unable to do the service. Waste of time and that's a valuable thing to me. If you don't mind waiting in overly long lines and possibly not being able to get what you need done call them first or find a business that's focused on customers service

He said my Lugnuts were stripped, they wouldn t let me pick them up from next-door for a lot less expensive. And charged me $20 apiece a total of $460 just for my Lugnuts and then all my pressure sensors went bad and they said it wasn t their fault. They went out about 15 minutes after I left that place.Service: TiresService: Tires

Had my oil changes done there for at least a year. My last one I was unsatisfied with. My fianc� went to check my oil shortly after having it changed. I believe it was within a week or two of the change.The oil was dark black. I am not sure what the issue was. I called to mention it and nothing was going to be done customer service wise even after having used their services for a year.My fianc� did a new oil change right after I got the last oil change with them. Another ~$50 for the oil and filter. Since then he has done my oil changes and we have been fine. No discoloration or signs leading to why the oil was that black right after a new oil change.
