WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THEM.Absolutely No integrity. Another money grab operation where they don t do what they say they willLiterally every time I go, they make me fight to get what they agreed to do.They told me my first 3 oil changes would be free.Every time I go they just try to rotate my tires and consider that the free maintenance. It s just so annoying dealing with frauds who don t do what they say they will

Service Department needs cleaning and by that i mean clean up the employees who don't care for their customers. Called for a quote and the guy was clueless. Find a local little shop that will take better care of you. In the near future i was looking to buy a new Toyota for my daughter. This experience today just blew that for them. I will be buying from another stealership. Read the reviews about the service department at this place. unreal.

I had the best experience EVER buying a car with Lesley Iida and team at Big Island Toyota. Polite, smooth, respectfull, and honest are some words I d use to describe the experience. As I was taking delivery today I looked around and observed several customers being served by their team. It was beautiful. Thank you Lesley and everyone for the epitome of smooth. I L-O- V-E my new car !

Jarod with Big Island Toyota in Hilo was so helpful from beginning to end. He assisted me throughout the whole process via email and phone as I was arranging the purchase while being off the island. He answered all of my questions patiently and fully. Always got back to me in a timely manner and provided detailed answers to my many questions. When I came to pick up the car, he was just a delight to work with - explained everything about the vehicle (as I ve never owned a Toyota before), both electronic and mechanical futures.Kelson, the finance gentleman was great as well. He explained in detail the financial part of the transaction and was friendly, professional and helpful.Neither ever pressured me into anything I couldn t afford or didn t immediately need.Buying a car from Big Island Toyota in Hilo was a very smooth and effortless experience. I would go back anytime and I recommend them to all my colleagues and friends.Thank you both!

Two years of Toyota care is a lie, read the fine print. my car is less than a year old and they said my complementary service expired. Additionally charging ports have been not working since I bought the vehicle brand new. They are very scammy.

Bought a 2007 Tacoma with only one key. Of COURSE I loose the key. That s my fault I call my insurance they say the dealership should replace key for a $. Call the dealership. They say oh yeah we will have the guy that does that call you back.No contact for a week. Call them back, they say we don t do that. Call them again to ask for who they could refer me to as I had no luck with google searching They tell me I shouldn t have lost the key. Well duh! I know that!!! But now that it s lost who can help me? Apparently no one But there are good people that work there, that s why three starts and not one or two. God Bless

Service department: delayed by many hours. Could have called ahead to let me know my 30mim-1hr appointment would now take 3-4 hours extra. Overpriced for the service and booking online is impossible

Criminally overpriced parts. Needed brake actuator for second Gen Prius. I saved over $1,000 buying from mainland dealership and having it shipped here over what they were trying to charge here. $1000 markup on a 1200 part! Who's got that kinda money?

People only talk to you if you're going to buy a car. The dealer carries limited and only select models. Not much choice in colors either. The sales guy and sales manager will not give you a good deal and since there is no other Toyota competition they know they don't need to. The people in Hilo are held hostage and I feel sorry for them. Not recommended.

The workers are very kind. However, having to wait for my vehicle, I was able to ascertain that the waiting room had an extremely cold air conditioner which prevented its use. Outside a bench where you can sit. In full sun and without the slightest shade, in fact an authentic oven. Plus a tiny toilet to share with employees. Considering the hourly cost of Toyota services, I think we can legitimately expect more.

REGARDING SERVICE DEPARTMENT Have been a regular service department customer for multiple vehicles since 2014. Will not return, lack of communication, confusion and no return calls after leaving messages. Midas or a private shop would be cheaper, easier and better put together.

Well, sad to say ... First I was lied to -at the time I made appt I was told it would only cost me Fifty dollars (the cost of shipping the part in) because when I bought my truck I got an extended warranty. Low and behold when I went to pay they told me $150. When I got upset she started quoting me repair cost (I don't care about that (the warranty right ? I'm more upset about the disrespect and non give a heck attitude...I also waited in the heat for an hour because shuttle driver was at lunch.. I pray I don't ever have to go back .. I am a senior and don't need or want the drama..but I'll be wack- buckled if anyone thinks I am going to be treated like that.....

I like the experience I had at Big Island Toyota with Randy Acob. He was direct, he didn t waste any of my time. I ended up coming back the next day and putting a deposit down for a vehicle. I am so pleased I met with Randy when I went to Big Island Toyota I feel like he is the right salesperson for my needs, and I look for to working with him.

Just picked up my long awaited 2020 RAV4 XSE and am loving everything about it! Bob was my sales guy and he did a great job making it all happen. If you're looking for a new Toyota, go see Bob. This was a special order with an almost 6 month wait time which is pretty standard for ordering Toyotas with the exact specifications you want. The vehicle comes all the way from Japan. The purchase process was smooth, with minimal waiting. I took the RAV straight to the tint shop and Bob gave me a ride from there. Will definitely do business again. Toyotas are amazing, reliable and well made vehicles.Mahalo again BI Toyota Hilo and Bob!

What a smooth experience. I ve bought a lot of cars over the years but this was the best. I never felt pressured. The salesman Dana was awesome. Totally honest and low key. Truthful about all the details. The sales manager was also cool and truthful and last but not least the finance manager John was very nice and never pressured me to add on a bunch of extras. The best experience and they gave me a great price on the Tacoma.

Randy was wonderful, the experience was so smooth, very transparent and stress free. We had a few negative experience with other dealers where there is a lot of wheeling and dealing and wearing you down, but at Big Island Toyota they sell at msrp, are very honest and I appreciate that so much. If you go, ask for Randy, he is so very nice and will help you!

I swear I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. It took months to get the parts in then took 2 months waiting for the appointment to get a full tune up on the vehicle since it's a 8 hrs job. I dropped off my car early just for a woman to call me to tell me that my car won't be done that day since they didn't get it in the shop on time. How do you not get it in the shop on time when I had an appointment? Then they found a leak in the coolant hose. Long story short it's been 3 weeks with no car and the same answer. When I called last week they were getting the part that day and it should be done by Friday. A week later same story. I don't take it there for oil changes anymore since I had to turn around and take it to Lex Brodies a week later because they didn't change the oil I paid for. This place is a joke and a scam.

I ve bought five cars in my life from different car dealerships. This was by far the easiest purchase! They didn t give me a run around. I researched prices before I went and they literally gave me the best price straight off the bat with no hassle. Kamu is the best sales person (I wouldn t go to anyone else!). He s super honest and upfront. There was no running back and forth from the sales manager to us and back again and over and over. The sales manager came out and everything was transparent. After a nightmare experience at Subaru the month before I was more than impressed with the level of honesty and professionalism. Loved our experience and would definitely recommend them and will be buying from them again!

The service department really needs some organization. I've brought my vehicle in half a dozen times and almost every time, there's been a mistake on what was supposed to be fixed. On one occasion, I had to reply a small window in my car. I left my vehicle there for 2 weeks and when they called me to pick up the vehicle after repair was finished, they never did anything to the window. I am not sure why they kept my car for 2 weeks, which is a huge inconvenience for customers. The latest time I visited the service dept and dropped off the car at 8am, they called me at 2 pm to tell me that they've had no time to check the tires, change the oil, or anything else. I wish they would pay more concern to a customer's time, money, and vehicle.

I was in a time crunch driving over from Kona, and Blake helped me get in and out as soon as possible. - MahaloConsidering the price paid, it Would have been nice to have got a oil change or tire rotation, since both were due on vehicle. but over all am happy with experience.

Randy and Alika were great. They never pressured us into anything and talked about all our options. They made us feel really comfortable with the vehicle we chose. We talked about what we were looking for and found the perfect vehicle for our family. Jeremy the financial guy was also great. They were all easy to talk to and we felt like they genuinely cared about us. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

My horn didn't work. They charged $161 to tell me that it was the spiral cable clock spring and that the part was $1060!! It didn't take much investigation to find that some mainland Toyota dealerships sell the OEM new part at about $260, though most are about $459. They are, to my mind, crooks. They won't let you bring in the new OEM part or a used part for install. Avoid them if you can.By the way, I decided to buy an after-market one that sells for $25 and plan to install it myself. Lots of fine videos on how to do this.

My experience at Big Island Toyota was superb. I received immediate service, was shown & explained trucks that interested me. I also test drove the truck I decided on buying, and got a tutorial on all of its great features. The paperwork went fast and was very efficient. I felt extremely taken care of to say the least. And I left the car lot with the truck of my dreams in less than 3 hours. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle there.
