Outstanding place and people. Took my 1982 Honda CBX in for restomod work. I was extremely impressed with the quality, caring, and honesty. Additionally, you get what you pay for. Quality is worth it.

Visited these guys during their open house and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I spoke to them earlier in the year at a motorcycle show at the Cobb convention center and already had high expectations for them after that. This visit to their shop solidified my opinion of them: these guys are awesome.

The nicest people! I went in with an automobile wheel to have them try their hand at vapor blasting it to prep for repainting. The quality of the work surpassed my expectations. I will be taking other pieces back for vapor blasting. They also have some fantastic vintage motorcycles for sale. Check them out!

I had completed a good bit of the restoration myself but could not fully resolve some electrical and fuel problems. AMW did a through assessment, gave me a line item list of their recommendations and then let me choose what I wanted them to work on. When I picked up the CB350 they thoroughly went over the work with me and made sure I was satisfied. Although I could not afford everything they recommended, I would without hesitation take the bike back to them to have the work completed. Easy to work with, knowledgable, transparent, and great customer service.Services: Electrical repair, Engine repair, Battery

This was my first visit, as I have seen this company represented at a couple motorcycle events. I was given a 30 minute personal tour by the owner and introduced to his staff. All were very professional and informative. I was very impressed with the facility and will be giving them some much needed work on my bikes in the near future!!!

After I pulled the family-heirloom 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 out of storage where it had been since the mid 1980s I thought I would tackle the restoration myself. But I soon realized that I was over my head. I needed help. I talked with several folks who probably could have brought the bike back to running condition. But none convinced me that they would breathe new life into this 46 year-old iconic bike like Atlanta Motorcycle Works. This was important to me because the bike belonged to a family member who passed much too young and the finished restoration is intended for his daughter. Before this review goes further it needs to be said: AMW is not for you if you have a big job but a small budget and limited time. The focus is on quality, not speed, and it won t be cheap. But what you get in return for your investment and patience is deep expertise and experience. When Mike, the shop foreman, told me what to expect after the work was done, I believed him and it always turned out to be 100% accurate. They never upsell or oversell. They tell you when something is for performance, for safety, or is strictly cosmetic. And they listened to me when I told them I wanted a patina bike that ran better than new but had as much original paint and chrome as possible, even though it probably would have been easier and more profitable for them to just tear the bike all the way down to the frame and do a complete restoration. They even let me take some of the bits home and try to shine them myself before putting them into the vapor-honing magic polisher machines that they keep in the back! The finished product is a patina d sleeper that looks stock. The truth is that it s a modern bike underneath with dialed-in Ikon shocks, upgraded brakes, and a dyno-tuned motor that will keep up with anything made today short of a liter sportbike. It starts instantly. And it sounds, well, [email protected] you want your work done right, and have the patience and resources, then Atlanta Motorcycle Works is a great choice. They love these old bikes and it shows.

BEST BIKE SHOP & ROYAL ENFIELD maintenance in GEORGIA!!!Nate, Mike, Ned, Brent... (and I'm forgetting someone, sorry) Saved my hind end today!!! My '23RE-INT650 was running "off". Seemed like loose CHAIN to me, but I didn't have anything on me but basisic OEM tool kit, NO torque wrench, and 200 miles left to ride.I'd met Nate & Mike just over a year ago. BEST, friendly/no pressure, FOLKS in metro ATL doing everything from oil/filter changes to Spectacular customs. They fixed me up in a flash, and sent me off smiling. It's rare to encounter a business where the folks are BOTH informed, experienced, fair & just damn nice to be around. You should stop by at least for the aesthetics & positive attitudes.Royal Enfield North America NEEDS to authorize them ASAP

Fantastic service. I had a front wheel and a tire I needed to get mounted and balanced same day. After calling multiple shops, some were closed or didn't answer the call and some couldn't do the work same day. But Atlanta Motorcycle Works picked up and told me to come on down and they'd take care of it for me. Very friendly and knowledgeable people.

Unbelievably good people. I was passing through and had a problem that required a better than average mechanic. When I called, they told me they were 3 4 weeks backed up. After I explained my problem, they offered that if I brought my bike by, they d look at it and see what might be done. They found a way to squeeze me in, did an excellent job repairing my bike, and did it for a very reasonable price. Afterward, I was telling my story to a couple of locals and they simply stated: they re well known around here for doing some great work .What more can I say? Well, I ll tell ya! Just looking around their shop was fun. They had some really cool bikes in the shop, and from what I could see, they do some outstanding restorations and have the ability to do highly specialized fabrications. While they specialize in older Japanese bikes, I wouldn t hesitate to bring anything to them.

Really cool shop if your thing is older Japanese bikes, and mine is! Repairing a rusty old gas tank for me now so we'll see how good they are once the repair is completed. They came highly recommended so I am sure it will be great.

Had my first experience with the guys at the shop today and it couldn t have gone better. They were able to accommodate a last minute request that got me up and running, and did it in record time.Super helpful, clean shop, everything was explained clearly and there was no pressure or up-selling.I will definitely be back.

AMW guys know their stuff. Legacy knowledge galore. Of course, it comes at a cost, but they are worth it. If you want it done right, these are the guys, if you want it done cheaply, not so much. Highly recommend for vintage Japanese motorcycle repair and restoration.

It's been a while but these guys did a great job in my 1974 Kawasaki G4TR when I rebuilt that thing from scratch but could not get the carb straight. Thanks for the great job! I'll be seeing you guys again real soon.I'm sorry to say that you should beware if you get service here. Check your machine thoroughly. That's all I've got to say about it. Just made a discover this year from work done several years ago.Service: Battery

Jason and his team do excellent work. Brought it a '74 CL360 that needed to be rejetted/tuned after some upgrades - had it back in 2 days, ran like new. Had other work done since - new ignition, tune-ups - offered solid advice for fork upgrades, then installed correctly. Taking them a '76 CB550 shortly. Anyway, would recommend for vintage bikes - glad these guys are in GA.

These guys know vintage bikes. Had a bad electrical issue with a 78 CB750 back when I knew nothing about bikes. Towed it up to these guys after a recommendation and they got it running better than ever in a pretty reasonable time. They were proactive about keeping me updated and all around great to deal with. Also had the fortune of meeting one of their mechanics a few weeks ago who helped me diagnose some other issues, free of charge. He urged me to try my hand at fixing it myself before bringing it in and with his advice, I got my problem resolved.Great shop for your vintage bikes.

I brought in a rough running, overheated, dry rotted 1991 Honda ST1100 and asked if they could make it a viable bike for my son to ride to and from college. They took the bike and after a few days to break it down and see what needed to be done, they gave me a pick list of items that could stand repair. I chose the ones that were recommended by the tech and had him go ahead with the repairs. He cleaned and synced the carbs, replaced the front fork seals, new brakes, replaced the throttle cable and a few more items that escape me. Its been 6 months since the work was done and the bike rides like a dream. Solid work, honest work and fair prices. The attention to detail is what I credit them the most. They do a great job!
