Terrible service. Had told them I had places to be at a certain time. Was told it'd be about 2 hours. 2 hours later and they hadn't even taken it back by then. Apparently they expected me to personally wait on them for closer to three hours. And the fellow working the desk retreated to a backroom to talk on his personal phone for about an hour. Do not recommend, respect your own time and go somewhere else.

Today is 10/30/2023. My car would not start. I am 65 year old teacher so what do I do I call Mike Reilly at Tire Discounters in Watkinsville, Ga I have been going to this tire place for 15 years. I have known lots of manager in that store and the one in Athens. Mike is the best manager I have ever worked with. Professional, well mannered, hard working they were short staff he was in the back putting on a set of tires. That to me is very amazing! He fixed my car and reminded me to start thinking about getting new tires. My tires are very expensive but I trust Mike. I am a farm girl also so I know about cars. My car is only running because of Mike. I also love love the signs they put up! My friends and I are always talking about them because we all drive by daily going to school

The repairs were completed efficiently and effectively, and my vehicle now runs smoothly. Additionally, the tire selection at Tire Discounters was extensive, and the staff helped me choose the perfect set of tires for my needs (I wanted a different size tire for each wheel). The installation was done flawlessly, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Thanks!

The other day we ran over a screwdriver and dropped off our vehicle after hours there. It was a slick process, they quickly attended to us the next morning, had it repaired before lunchtime and didn t even charge us for it! We purchased our tires there and now probably always will. Thank you for helping us so quickly and being so kind!

Took my car here to get tires changed. They lost the wheel lock key an now trying to charge remove lugnuts.. tires plus didnt have my key but they will help for free

this place used to be a great place to bring your vehicle but the service has gone down hill. they have had my truck for three days now and they still haven't fixed it yet. I keep calling and they keep giving me the run around. I will no longer be bringing my truck here. after three days they handed me back the keys and told me to take it somewhere else.

Excellent business! Sales Manager Mike Riley makes the difference! He's the friendliest, most easy going , professional businessman you could meet. He'll get the job done, so your in good hands at Porterfield Tire Discounters. Of course, he's backed up by excellent mechanics and staff. Don't go anywhere else until you visit Mike at Porterfield. He's at the Watkinsville location just a few miles outside Athens, GA. I've known Mike for several decades now and he's never not gotten my SUV's fixed up. He also gives great advice! I've owned several businesses in Athens, GA over the years and you know what to look for in a business. I was there a few days ago about my brakes. A+

This was a great service. My car had a flat tire in my driveway. They came within an hour of my call, delivered the car in for repairs, and returned it to me later in the day. They called and texted to let me know they were on the way. The two individuals were very friendly and professional. I was so grateful to get the problem taken care of with no interruption to my busy work day.

I give this place 4 stars because I don't feel like I am trying to get ripped off every time I go in there like you would at a dealership mechanic or a larger business franchise. They have always been friendly and even offered me a ride home because they had to keep my car overnight

I grew up taking my car to Porterfield. However, I will never go back due to my last appointment. I was given $5000 worth of things they said need done on my car with $3000 of it necessary to keep from breaking down on the side of the road they claimed. I took it to a trusted place nearby and got everything fixed for under $1000 with no issues since it s been fixed. I believe they were trying to take advantage of me being a woman (assuming I d just pay since I don t know a lot about cars) and charging on things I didn t need. Do not trust. They said it was an AC issue causing the noise when really it was an oil issue!!!

Spent $2000 replacing tires on my truck, but they did not let me know that the shocks were messed up. Ruined 2 new tires almost immediately. Took it back in to find out why, offered to fix shocks for ridiculous price, so I decided to take elsewhere for that fix. When I brought it back to be aligned, claimed they could not because tires were on too tight and sent the truck back to me to loosen, apparently they don t know how to use a wrench. I m done.

I went their and needed an alignment, after i replaced the ball joint they said needing replacement. I took it in one morning to have the alignment done, and they proceeded to inform me that I needed the other 3 ball joints replaced after they said it was only that one. I immediately didn't trust them. So from their I took my truck to another local shop that informed me of other issues, that where on the opposite side of the truck that needed replacing. Shout out to carcraft of watkinsville.

Recently had to tires replaced , they rotated front to back, in process broke lugnuts bolts on back tires. 2 broken on driver side, 1 broken on passenger. And get this, they let me drive off like that. Recently while driving van started wobbling and making weird sounds so stopped at my actual mechanic to find this out. I can't believe they would put my life at risk like this. It gets better Chris the manager said he was taking care of me but no phone call back. It's been almost a week now decided that I will be calling better Business bureau soon

Great experience. They set me up with an appointment about an hour from my call time. Their explanation of the tires they offered and what to expect. They even checked and replaced my full size spare with one that was better that I had. Prices were good too. Quick and friendly.

Folks. I wouldn t listen to Sherri and her pathetic review. This is the only place to get tires, PERIOD. If you go anywhere other than here, you probably kick puppies and spit on old people.

Really enjoy doing business with Darrell. Got a oil change, tire rotation, and a tire patch done today. Would have gave 5 stars if not for a long wait even though I had an appointment. They were busy and I was off of work for the rest of the weekend so it wasn't a huge deal.

My husband and I were 5 hours away from home, went to a nearby tire shop that was too busy to take us, so we tried Tire Discounters. They were closing in 45 minutes and had customers, but they literally took us in, patched our tire, and sent us on our way free of charge in 15 minutes or less. That just doesn t happen anywhere. Thank you for the amazing help and service!!

10/29/18I arrived at the store with a nail in my tire a few minutes after they had closed. The kind lady working up front went to the back to see if anyone could fix my tire. Will, the manager, came out and got my car and had the tire plugged in about 15 minutes, and the cost was minimal. So kind of them to stick around after closing to take care of my tire. We already take our cars to Porterfield but this great experience solidified our decision to use them. Glad we have y all in Watkinsville!

3 hours for an oil change. Called ahead to see if they could take me, told them i had to wait on it when i got there, asked for my keys back when an hour had passed and my car was unmoved - they said i was next...ready 2 hours later, overheard multiple calls while waiting where others weren't ready on time, even appointments. No sense of value for people's time, price was higher end for simple oil change, not much reason to return. Get a definite time estimate if you go here, then add an hour and cross your fingers.
