Elder body shop has been great to work with! Our family had two of our cars hit in the last three months. Elder body shop did a great job working with the insurance and getting our car fixed and in a timely manner. We will absolutely use them every time for our car repairs.

My daughter wrecked her car. Elder's was on the insurance's list of preferred body shops. From the time the car was towed there to the time we picked it up, there was transparency and good communication about where we stood in the repair process. There were delays on parts and they always let us know. When we picked up the car, it was like new. Completely repaired, freshly painted, detailed inside and out. I am very impressed with the work they did and will gladly use them again, if needed.

Cindy (owner) is a nice lady & I felt like she was being straight with me. You can tell she works hard, but, unfortunately, doesn t have a great staff to help her delegate.It took 3 months to get my car in & they still didn t have all the parts they needed. I ended up without my car for a week longer than it should ve been (16 days total). No responsibility was taken by owner or staff for the delays. Communication and updates on my car were slim & inconsistent.I understand it s a tough business to be in, but it s the responsibility of places like this to purchase parts from vendors who are on time & not push blame to the one who aren t. I believe they did the best they could, but if I could go back, I would go somewhere else.Service: Body & Trim

Was referred to the shop by a friend, brought in my 2018 Ford Fusion for driver side damage. Needed both doors, a fender and other body work it was rough looking. The staff was wonderful and showed true concern about repairing our vehicle and getting the repairs right and accurate. The paint job was spot on, which was our biggest concern, and the communication was great. I would highly recommend anyone to take their car there to get serviced. The staff at Elder's Body Shop was very kind and polite in all of our interactions. However, that is the extent of the positive qualities that Elder's had to offer.I can safely say that Elder's Body Shop is the single worst business entity I have ever interacted with. I would much rather have been treated terribly, while having my car fixed, than have the staff be very kind, while doing absolutely nothing to fix the vehicle and making empty promises that delayed me from contracting other body shops for a fix elsewhere.Here is the timeline of my experience:I set a Monday appointment on August 1st, 2022 for a frame straightening. I received a call the Friday afternoon before my appointment that attempted to push it back two weeks because the parts for my vehicle had not arrived yet.Unfortunately, as I discussed with the staff repeatedly, my vehicle did not need any parts.This being the case, I called back and explained that parts were not necessary, nonetheless, they still pushed my appointment back two weeks, to August 15th.Despite this unencouraging sign, I pressed on with the second attempt at an appointment.On August 15th, I dropped my vehicle off for the frame straightening. I was told it would only take a few days, then I would be back in my car. I called every few days to check on the progress, but was always told that the repairs had not yet started.After two weeks of hearing the same, I went to pick up my vehicle on August 29th so I would have transportation while I waited until they called me again. I was told that there was one car (a Subaru) in front of mine for frame straightening, and that I was next in line and would receive a call to bring it in soon.I was told the frame rack (device for straightening auto frames) was broken, and had been for two weeks, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for my call.Fast forward to November 14th, I still had not received a call about my car. When I called to check on the status, I was told that there was one car on the frame rack (a BMW this time). They called me back to offer a potential appointment for December 5th, with the assurance that they would call me back on Friday, December 2nd, to confirm.December 2nd comes, and I did not receive any call. After contacting them myself, I was told I would be called back within 30 minutes. I was never called back.December 5th, the day of my erstwhile appointment, I called to check on the status and was told that the staff had "completely forgotten" about my appointment.After a brief hold, I was told that there was one car ahead of mine (a Kia this time) and that after it was fixed, they would give me a call to bring my vehicle in.As of February 2023, I never received that call.All in all, the staff were very kind; however, they are either disingenuous or completely disorganized. Multiple times, I was bumped from my spot in line, while always being told "your car is next up."I understand that equipment breaks and accidents happen; however, repeatedly moving appointments back, skipping clients who are waiting for repairs, and forgetting to reschedule (or choosing not to without telling them) seem like a poor way to run a business. Not to mention a poor way to treat people.Service: Body & Trim

A family owned business that loves to make you feel like family. During an accident regarding my son, hard for any parent, Cindy ensured an easy process as well as an excellent repair. Part of the beauty of this business is the small atmosphere they have maintained. Your phone calls are always answered, you car is delivered more beautiful than it was before, and the shop welcomes you each time with friendly smiles. Thank you for taking care of my sons car and for all of your kindness and answers :)

After poor communication and a repair that took 3x as long as quoted, we were told to drop our rental car there and they would take care of it. This shop went above and beyond on my last repair. I ve taken all of my vehicles there, and every time they are pleasant to work with and the work is maticulous. With the last repair, the owner went far above par to ensure my son got his car back feeling confident in it again. Sometimes a wreck or any other thing that causes you to need a body shop can scare you from ever wanting to be in the vehicle ever again. This shop ensured the work was so well done that not only was he ok getting back in the car, he was OVERJOYED! Thank you for maintaining your family owned feel with your amazing high standard of work.

Wonderful, family feel atmosphere! The staff is all wonderful and punctual, as well as empathetic! They care about their customers, and the needs they have. There's honestly not a better family-owned shop in Oconee County!
