My family and I broke down while traveling thruthe Valdosta area. Here we are broke down, with 4 kids on a hot summer afternoon going into a major holiday weekend with all the local repair shops closing in a few hours. Fortunately, we heard about Gary and called him. Not long after, he came out and assessed the situation with our vehicle. Within a few hours after that we were back on the road on our way back home. Gary was an absolute God send and saved us from a situation that easily could have ended up alot worse and not in our favor. He and Travis literally showed up and saved our day. Gary and Travis are true professionals and wonderful people by taking my family's well being into account by getting us back on the road as soon as they did when they were not obligated to. He truly was a big blessing and we appreciate all they did for us when we needed it the most! I'd highly recommend them to anyone!

We were stuck in an awful situation. Driving home with a long ways to go on a Saturday afternoon and the battery light came on. We went to a shop and they told us the issue, but they weren t able to help as the shop would be closed til monday. My husband started calling around hoping somewhere would be open. He got a hold of Gary and Gary came to our hotel to check it out. Told my husband if he got the money in cash he d come back and fix it that night. Saved us an extra night in the (expensive) hotel and got us home a day earlier. We are so grateful!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical

Gary s Automotive is a RIP OFF!!! Long story short, my car needed a new battery and he tried to tell me he didn t know what was wrong with it and needed a few days to get in there and replace some parts!!! He got me for $100 because i went and picked my car up before he could do further damage to my pocketbook!! That man nearly cried when he seen $800 to $1000 drive away!!! Whatever you do, stay away from Gary!!!!Service: Engine repair

I was driving from Florida to South Carolina, and broke down In Valdosta, Georgia. Turned out to be my alternator. Gary and Travis picked up my new part for me, and came to my hotel and fixed my car. I was back on the road in a couple hours. I will be forever grateful! Thank you both gentleman, I will never forget it! And Brutus is running great!

I think these people are very much a group of people that do good work but completely rip people off when they have an opportunity to. I had a break down and was out of town and they came out and have a very nice personality took my truck and then charged me more than 2 times what it was suppose to cost. But when your broke down and out of town you have no choice and believe me they stick it to you. Also I found very interesting they said they could not take a credit card or out of town checks so I think the reason for not taking out of town checks or no credit card was they knew they was ripping me off. I was charged from them 1075.00 for a job that I checked with large shop that is a specialist in my trucks problem and they told me they would have charged me $475.00 for the service so if anyway possible don't use these guys unless you don't care what it cost. I also see one of the other reviews said they was charged way to much also and the guys reply was they should have talked to them about it so just so everyone knows that does not work because I tried that with no success

Dropped my truck off to have 2 issues fixed. One was a hesitation problem which was fixed and the quality of work was good. The other problem was an erratic idle on a cold start which was never fixed. I had to drop the truck back off because I didn't notice it until the next morning on a cold start. New map sensor was installed which had little effect. The total price for 1 out of 2 things fixed was a little short of $2000. Other small things included in the price was some rewiring. The price shouldn't have been this high for only 1 of the 2 things I asked to be fixed.

Full disclosure, I have no idea what kind of work these people do. I do know that they do not carry themselves in a professional way in the community. I was at a local service station when a man wearing a Gary s Auto shirt (I m assuming it was Gary) looked at the local paper and expressed his disgust at the idea of renaming a local rd after Barack Obama. He said the road would be better off named kkk street . Stupidity like that isn t allowed any where near my vehicle. You ought to be embarrassed to represent your business like that. Classless.

My truck has been there for months like 8 months now needed a distributor an still has not fixed it his son cut a bunch of wires an then he fired him an he claims he don t know what all his son cut but have called twice a month an it s the same story he is gonna get it this weekend an never does about to call a lawyer!!!Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO GARY!!! He is one of those mechanics her will take you for a bad bad ride!! He is out to overcharge and come up any way he can!!! Steer clear of Garys!!!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Great service. We were stuck from out of town trying to make our way home on a sunday. They came right out and were extremely honest with us which is much appreciated. I would definitely recommend them.

Stay away from here This guy will try to rip you off, not to mention try and get violent and threaten you with a gun for no reason.
