RUN RUN RUN!!!! Paid to have my transmission replaced in 2021. 1st time took 5-6 months to fix and 3months later to get back. Had to bring it back 2 months later. I received my truck 9 months later. The transmission went out again in 2 months. Everytime I called or went by I was told he couldn't find a part to my transmission I just went to the location and it is closed. Can't enforce a warranty if theres no business. I paid him $3400 to never have a working truck again. This guy is a snake. He lies lies lies!!!!!! 2+ years and my truck is still down

DO NOT GO Read Reviews ! Woody & the rest of the members who work for this business are compulsive liars. They give you the run around & don't fix your vehicle. On several occasions I've had to call to get an update on my car rather than them calling me. They steal your money with no actual service being provided. 10/0 . Every-time you need an update he'll tell you the parts are ordered but you'll never see a new part on your vehicle. My car has been broken into and it ended up in worse condition than what it came. I came for a leak in my transmission which they caused from previous work & my car failed to start after they " serviced " it. This place should be closed.Service: Transmission

Do NOT do business here! I took my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder here in August 2022 for a transmission rebuild. They allegedly repaired it but the transmission went out again in December 2022. I had to have my vehicle towed back to my house because Woody didn't have space for it. It took him 3 weeks to pick up my vehicle. To make a long story short he's had the vehicle for over 9 months and still not repaired. I keep being told that they are waiting on a part or that they are under staffed. Everything Ricky "Woody" has told me has been a lie. Recently Union City Code fined and shut him down for not giving customers invoices. I also found out that Woody hasn't had a business license for over 5 years. This is public record. Union City Code will provide a copy of the citations given to him just last week.This place is a TOTAL fraud. I'm having to sue to get my money. Avoid this place at all costs.Service: Transmission

Why hasn't the secretary of state revoked this mechanic's business license? Woody doesn't have a conscious; I don't know how he sleeps at night. Please believe the reviews you see on Google & Yelp! If you take your car back after noticing your transmission is still malfunctioning, your car will sit until you get authorities involved! The car barely made it back to the shop when picked up the first time. Avoid at all cost!

Woody has taken care of my truck 2 times now. I have an 07 5.9 cummins that he rebuilt the transmission in as well as replaced my shift cable quickly on a very short notice.Don't let these other reviews detour you. Woody will be straightforward with you. But if you can't pay, you can't play.Services: Transmission, Auto maintenance

If i could rate less i would. This crazy they had my car in march i got it fixed. It still was not working. Ive been back there since march its now October. They are finally getting shut down.

I have been coming here for years. This review is long overdue.I have had several services on various vehicles. I ve gotten my A/C fixed, got my axles (3 in one day) replaced, alternator, starter, transmission. Each and every time I feel that I get a fair price, my car is never held on to for periods of time, and when I call they answer. I mostly get services with Rob and he is tried and true. I recently had the owner Rick (Woody) work on my transmission and he was amazing. The warranty center that paid for my service was dragging their feet and he stayed on them so that he could complete my service. When a delay happened he was courteous enough to let me know and let me know why and when he expected it to be complete. If I could screen shot how many people I have referred to Woody s, I would. I took my car to woody they kept my car for 2 months parts were missing off my car when I picked it up my transmission still not working barely made it home I think every body up there on drugs I called several times nobody s answering the phone but when he called me to pick up my car blowing my phone up this place should be shut down 3400 dollars and my car still not fixed do not take your car here

See yall gone learn to run the track records on these businesses. I always go by reviews before proceeding with ANY business, but Nooooo My brilliant hubby goes to this establishment and when I asked him what were the ratings he says "I didnt need to check becz they LOOK "professional"/ they LOOK officially certified". (Me: professional huh?Man plz ) Welp lets just say Hubby went thru 4days without a car, 4 Ubers, to HELL and back trying to get these people to fix what they claimed to have to fixed the 1st time, but the trans is STILL LEAKING! Our only car is still fukd up and now more than ever. Im not the 1 to say I told u so and rub it all in one's face. All I can do is smh. But cmon man..who doesnt live off reviews nowadays? EVERYBODY'S DOIN IT!. If you're not; then hey good luck, peace n blessings..Ive been drilling him about reviews and how important it is, but like he used to tell me "a hard head makes a soft ass" Whose ass is soft now? As for Woody...take yo ass back to the toy box and dont ever come out to play.

This was a horrible experience. He had my car for a month for work he said would take 7 days. Always a new lie each time you called to check. After getting my car back the check engine light stayed on. He claimed he would fix the 02 sensor but only kept unhooking the battery to get the light to go off. ONLY go here if you want to be lied to!!!Service: Transmission

If I could give 0 stars I would. My relationship with this shop started on October 5th. It's December 2nd and after several trips and phone calls that go unanswered to the shop, my transmission is still not fixed. He was paid in full, cash, when it was first picked up. Also, his mechanic lost my set of keys and they replaced them with generic keys that set off the theft detergent system, never even mentioned it. My vehicle was driven as a personal vehicle by the shop, it now has body damage that it did not have originally! Also was filthy inside with coke spilled, pizza sauce and cigarette ashes, foot prints on my dash and vehicle had never been smoked in! DO NOT EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID AND VISIT THIS TRANSMISSION SHOP!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!! Owner has been full of excuses on parts, etc. BEWARE!!!!Service: Transmission

I happened to stumble upon this place, and decided to see if they coul help me with my car problems. The owner, Mr.Woody, was super nice and compassionate about my concerns. I was all over the place, just trying to explain the history of the car issues. Woody put my mind and heart at ease by being very knowledgeable of the situation. He told me to arrive tomorrow morning at 830am. I did and they went right to work to diagnose and fully investigate my cars issue. It's extremely difficult for women to feel safe and secure when dealing with these types of problems and people really do take advantage of us in these predicaments. However, they were so honest and so polite. I felt comfortable. I will stick with this shop and only this shop. Thank you GOD

Do not get taken beware ; law enforcement should close the doors. These are the facts Date November 23,20211. The owner said he could repair my 2014 transmission2. Owner request partial payment for reman trans which I gave3.owner never called to give updates on my car & owner spent my money4. Car has yet to be repaired5. Will definitely not recommend, I have a bad experience $1500 my vehicle still wasn t fix after 6 weeks of back and forth. I really gave him a chance.I will update soon to Let you guys know the outcome. Definitely need some of my money back.

Run Run Run. Woody had my car for 5 months and it s still not fixed. He asked for a 1,000 down to get started and the car is still not fixed. He is a compulsive liar. Looking for a decent auto shop please do not go to Woody's. I had my car there to get repairs to the engine and these incompetent individuals lost my key and stole items out my car. Had to have it towed to Nalley Hyundai dealership to get repairs and had to pay for another key. Woody's took his sweet time to reimburse me the money for the keys that his associates lost, I had to go up to his shop almost everyday just to receive my money. If you're looking for a good mechanic shop Woody's is not the place.

I had to take my car back 3 times for them to install my transmission properly. It took them a month to fix it each time and it is still leaking fulid. I spent $3k and my car is still not fixed. This shop is not worth the 1 star. I feel completely ripped off!

My transmission went out in my car in October, took it to Woody's and was told it would be there for a week. A month and a half later, I finally got my car back. Had it for a month and just had to have it towed back to the shop because it broke down again! Due to the transmission having issues! It's the most frustrating process with some of the most unprofessional and unqualified "mechanics" out there. I highly recommend taking your car elsewhere. Because Woody's does not get the job done.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!I'm not saying this because I'm mad, I'm saving you a total nightmare of an experience. All of the posts about them keeping your car for 3 months or longer are TRUE. They absolutely will. They did it to us. Claimed everything under the sun as to why it's not done yet. Messed up wiring while rebuilding transmission and now it has a whole separate issue it didn't have before. Had to tow it to another shop after they had it for over 3 MONTHS! Unbelievable!!! They even had the nerve to say we were calling too much....lol. Biggest joke in auto repair right here folks. Oh and Google they're BBB listing. They have several unanswered complaints through them as well.

I am very comfortable taking my car to Woody's. I've never had any problems with the mechanics there. They have been fair and honest with me when it came to fixing my cars. I would recommend them to anyone.

Other than Rob Timberlake being one of the best mechanics in the area, Rick (the owner of Woody's) is the absolute worst transmission mechanic I've ever dealt with.It's going on 5 months from the time he took my vehicle in to repair/fix my transmission (he was paid in full on March 29, yet my truck is still there.I call daily and make at least 3 trips to check on my vehicle weekly and every day a different excuse. The most unprofessional person who owns a business as he or his representative will never call to give you an update...you'll have to call him and you're lucky if someone answers the phone.I will not and can not recommend Woody's transmission to fix anyone's transmission at all.However, for general repair of other vehicle issues, I highly recommend Rob Timberlake for all of your automotive needs, it's just unfortunate that he works there.

Great place! I forget the man named who helped me but he was truly a blessing, my heat in my car wasn t working and he spent so much time trying to figure out the problem but in the end he got it to work and that meant everything to me, the fact that didn t give up on me was much appreciated. Thank you!!!!

My husband got his transmission fixed there about a month and now one month later the transmission blew out in the car again, I normally don't put companies down but this is the worst transmission shop EVER, they keep your car for weeks, you call them and they act like they don't know what the hell is going on. Now this second time around they have the car for almost 2 weeks.

PSA. This is the WORST place ever! They take 2-3 months to change out a transmission. They give you every excuse in the book about why your vehicle is still there.They should be put out of business! I don't understand how they are still operating! They are all very unprofessional and unknowable about what's going on. DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR VEHICLE FIXED !!!!! It's not even worth 1 star. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIFIC..I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE TAKING MY VEHICLE THERE..I literally just had to resign from my job due to their negligence in not towing my car to shop after it broke down for the third time after they so called fixed it.. THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF N WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY N YES HIDE YOUR CAR BEHIND BUILDING PRETENDING THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON IT.. Shade mechanic on duty. Posted months ago. Now this time I think they was trying to steal my motor out my car. Took it there for a transmission. Wind up picking it up from the impound. Go figure.

Dont go there!!! They are a complete rip off. Paid 600$ to get my 3rd gear repaired and left out with a completly teared apart transmission.i tooked it back and it stood in the lot for 4 weeks without being repair( currently filling a sue). Recommend going to main street transmission!!

The best. Fair prices and excellent work. It's hard to find a good and honest mechanic these days. I highly, highly recommend Woodys Transmission.
