Went in to get a set of tires and it took them nearly 4 hours to install 4 new tires. The way that the building is setup, you can see what the mechanics are doing from the sitting area and I saw very little work going on. What I saw was a bunch of standing and sitting around talking. Then, once I was done, they tried to nickel and dime me for other services.I won t be returning here for future service.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION I REPEAT STAY AWAY!!! If you need your car checked on they will only make things worse matters, I took my vehicle to get seen and left with my whole engine falling out while driving with my children in the car and nobody tried to resolve the issue they wanted to charge me for their repair mess up and towing fees. I would never think of a major company to do things like that. Because of their wrong doing s now I m without a vehicle.

Grimy bad people. Went for a brake inspection they said I needed new brake pads and rotors. Got a second opinion from another shop literally right afterwards and the shop said that my pads still had lots of meat, and there was nothing wrong with my rotors at all. They even brought me in and explain to me what a bad rotor looked like versus a decent one. Thank God for them!Pep Boys watched me try to get Parts in the lobby after they checked ..and recommended stores, I was stressing and they WATCHED me knowing that they lied to me the whole time.One mechanic even offered to do it outside of Pep Boys when he got off for a cheaper price Thank God, I did not work with them, but these are the bad mechanics that make you pay for unnecessary work. Do not trust what they tell you about your car!!!!!!!!!!!

My alternator decided to go out as we were passing through the area. I had it towed to the nearest shop which happened to be Pep Boys. It was nearly 4pm and I really needed to get home to Birmingham that night. Assistant Manager Tiffany and mechanic, Victor, stayed late to get me and my mom back on the road. They were so nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend them.

Yesterday, I booked a 6:00p appointment online to have my brakes checked. I come in today at about 5:45p, greet the guy at the desk, and let him know I m here for a 6:00p appointment for my brakes. Verbatim he says why would you have a 6:00p appointment for a service that takes an hour and a half when we close at 7p? Confused, I asked if I would still be serviced and he told me no, because the guy who does brakes leaves at 5. He suggests I may have the wrong location but we confirmed this was the correct location after showing him my confirmation email.I asked him if they are notified on scheduled appointments ahead of time. He said that every morning, they receive a list of appointments for the day. So my question is, if you see a 6:00p brake service appointment scheduled, but you know you can t service brakes past 5 because that s when the one guy who does brakes leaves, why couldn t I get a courtesy call informing me of this and to help me reschedule? So now, not only did I waste time and gas coming over here, but I ll also have to live another day of busted brakes lol. Please adjust the reservation times on your website to reflect your actual availability.

This store gave me the WORST experience of my life!! Not only are they fraudulent , they are incompetent, untrustworthy, and liars. after spending $1349.24 of them doing nothing just for them to lie to me and say that my oil and coolant is mixing(lie) and my head gasket is busted(another lie) and i need an new engine(more lies). They took my money, wasted my time and provided misinformation because THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!! IF ALL YOU KNOW IF TIRES, ROTERS , & OIL CHANGES THEN STICK TO THAT AND STOP STEALING PEOPLES MONEY AND RISKING PEOPLES LIVES!! and the Corporate line is even more a JOKE! they do not resolve anything. They take your information and claim someone will call back resolve the issue and nothing! That is why I have a lawyer and all my proof and information to sue! I went to Hoffmans Tires(best Place Ever!!)and all I needed was 2 simple things fixed and my issues was resolved. If Pepboys would have actually done the pressure test the claimed they did Maybe they would have figured it out but I doubt it. They are just a bunch of slow , unprofessional, lazy (especially Larry) group of workers pepboys have. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS They will cause more damage than you think you have. Took a car to them for a diagnostic because I thought I needed a tuneup but they stated I didn t. They printed out what was wrong which was nothing major. Brakes, struts things of that nature. Once I leave to get my kids 12 miles down the road my entire engine falls down and they say it s not their fault and didn t want to do anything to accommodate me either. I m not the only customer this has happen to please read other reviews as well. If I could give a zero I would.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE!! The only reasons I went there was because I could make an appointment, the oil change included a tire rotation, and I had a coupon for 25% off. RIP OFF 100%!!! First, the tech arrived *over an hour late*, so the appointment time was a joke. Then, he didn't even rotate my tires, and when I asked why not I was told "the wear is even and the only time you rotate tires is when there's uneven wear". . You rotate your tires to *prevent* uneven wear. But after waiting over an hour just to start the appointment, then the guy moving slower than molasses in January and the car already off the lift, I didn't have time to insist he rotate my tires. Lastly, there's some kind of crazy charge on the receipt that makes no sense ($40 for a 'performance service kit' that was neither discussed with me beforehand nor requested), the oil change wound up being $91 (NINETY ONE US DOLLARS!!!!) and that was AFTER the 25% discount. It's Sunday so I can't call the corporate office today, but their corporate customer service rep had better drink some extra coffee in the morning because I am going to give that person as earful. My advice to you is to go to Take 5 or Jiffy Lube. Pep Boys Union City, GA is a money trap.

Great customer service. I left another auto shop that same day, with horrible service, and I arrived at Pep Boys and it was like a breath of fresh air. The rep was friendly and engaging and although they couldn't make an appointment she was helpful with booking me for the next available time.

I ve been coming to Pep Boys in Union City for years. They have seen me through 3 cars. I trust their work. Most importantly, their pricing always beats the competition. I m always getting a coupon applied to my services.My most recent experience was for an oil change on my newest car. A slight mishap during the appointment was rectified very quickly by management and the technician working on my car. I ll see you all again in about 5,000 miles.

I had an appointment and ven though they pointed out a couple of other things needed I was still out in just over an hour. I was pleased because I had my two grandbabies with me and the t.v entertained them and chaos didn't break out..Lol

They don't diagnose problems but just charge you to replace parts you don't need instead. I paid well over $2,000 to fix a problem that I still have. Don't trust them!

UPDATE***Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant service experience at Pep Boys, especially with their manager Bernie. Usually I have good service at this location. However Bernie was quite condescending and unhelpful. The service department made several mistakes with my car. Bernie entered the wrong mileage in their system and the service department did not change the sticker for the next service. They also inflated my new tires with too much air pressure, almost 10 psi over the recommended level. When I brought my car back to fix these issues, they repeated the same error with the mileage on the sticker. They said they could not change the mileage in the system, but one of the service workers kindly corrected the sticker for me. Bernie did not apologize or acknowledge his mistakes. He acted like it was not a big deal and showed no concern for customer satisfaction. The service workers were very nice and understanding, unlike the manager. I hope Bernie changes his attitude or new management takes place because I like the workers at this location; when they make a mistake they acknowledge it and correct it.

I stopped by to pickup a family member car after a repair. I did not enter the store but observed the pickup process. It was quick and did not require an additional visit. That alone earns applause.

!!! DO NOT USE THEM BC OF BETTER PRICES BC THE SERVICE SUCKS !!!! Seriously, go elsewhere and pay a little more. This store is a joke. I was looking for a fair price on tires for a truck i plan to sell. I chose this store bc they were a couple hundred bucks cheaper. NOT WORTH THE COUPLE HUNDRED at all. It was a Friday and I literally barely made it home and one tire was already flat. Manager Larry said he would take care of it that next Monday morning. Returned Monday morning for them to say my rim was cracked and that's a flat out LIE, this rim has been holding air for many years until his service techs installed the new tires. NOT TO MENTION ALSO damaged all my lug nuts. They have refused to compensate in any way, VERY RUDE service counter staff as well. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE at all cost. Union City GA PEP BOYS needs a major change all the way around. I would not have given a STAR at all if google would have allowed me to do so. !!! R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S

I went here for an oil change after paying through caradvice they told me they couldn t get the knob off the oil pan and I would need a new one the price was $467 since I couldn t afford to purchase at time. I just got the oil from Oreileys and was going to a mechanic I ended up stopping at take 5 and they gave me the oil change I didn t even have to buy the cap they told me was rounded and couldn t come off I seen the cap and it wasn t rounded at all I could ve saved $5 . DONT LET THEM CHARGE YOU FOR SOMETHING YOU DONT NEED. I m waiting on my refund now. Highly disappointed!

Looking through the comments I see many. have had the same issue I had. My car worked fine, I know I needed new brakes and my Oil Pan and Gasket fixed so I took it here. Got the car back and two weeks later, I'm leaking Coolant and my Water Pump and Radiator needs to be replaced(Covington Highway location informed me of this after I took it there thinking it may be something this store didn't do correctly with the Gasket). Nothing was wrong with my car other than what I went for and now EVERYTHING IS WRONG! Never again will I visit ANY PEP BOYS for repairs. They did fix my brakes and the Oil is not leaking anymore though so I guess they fixed that. That's why they get a two stars.

When a DM(Curtis Grant) can not simply return a phone call; why expect the store he is responsible for to do anything other?A part was needed to repair my car but had not come in yet however, they allowed me to pay and leave without making me aware that 1 of the repairs had not been done. I happen to hear a noise(a loose bolt that the tech didnt bother to tighten) and went back about the sound. Tyrese says "they didn't tell you"... apparently someone was supposed to call me but no one called me to inform me that a part was out of stock. How does this happen?? I called and left messages for the DM on numerous occasions but not once did I get a call back. Store 0104 is a direct reflection of it's management: INCOMPETENT(35 agonizing days, a car rental for a week, and the check engine light has returned AGAIN)

I want to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Antonio! On my way to work, my tire pressure light came on, it was a total inconvenience. I googled tire shops near my area and by the grace of God, Pep Boys was open. I walked inside in a frantic and Antonio greeted me with a good morning and a warm smile. He assisted me without issue and I was able to get to work feeling confident that I won't have a blow out! He didn't want anything but to make sure that I was safe. We need more kind hearted people like Antonio in the world.

I just realized that your experience at this location depends HEAVILY on the person servicing you. I had a previous repair before and received decent care. This was my second visit and the "Percy" person servicing me completely altered my experience. This person was just bland and unwelcoming. My vehicle was at the shop over 24 hours before I received any update. Then I was told I needed to replace a part so I asked what specifically was wrong with it. I was surprised to receive the response "it's bad". That's a generic, uncaring, lazy response. I had to be persistent in order to get this person to concede to have the technician to contact me. Only at that time did I receive the details. It's a small thing to ask and this person was so adamant that had I not persisted I would have never received the information. I sincerely wanted to patronize this business because it's in our neighborhood. However, it's important that the experience be valuable and thankful one. It's clear I wasn't going to receive that with "Percy" overseeing my car. I am going to get the repairs done but decided to take my car to a locally owned small business for repairs instead. They will certainly appreciate my money spend. Pep Boys is a corporate entity and they don't deserve my dollars with employees who act this way. Moral of the story...beware of employees with flippant attitudes at all cost.

Very very very horrible experience the manger the desk guy all need to be replaced Kevin needs to work on his front desk skill he tells lies about your work being done also they put my car in the garage and did not work on it actually took it out of the garage canceled my appointment several times I ve been back and forth several times they have had my car going on 2 days now with no work installed this is the union city location

I wish I can give 0 stars. I had scheduled appointment same day & drove All the way there for them to tell me they don t take same day appointments however online allows you to book. He then tell me his techs are leaving for the day . My appointment was for 530pm and they don t close til 6p . However I came here 90 days ago booked online the same time slot and was service then with no problem! I WILL TAKE MY MONEY TO THE BETTER AREAS that will enjoy to service their customers during business they are supposed to work and not when they feel like it. Also will be calling corporate, thank to the lazy man with dreads at the front!
