I had the transmission rebuilt on my older GMC pickup. Their price was reasonable, and they finished the job in an extremely timely manner.

Took my vehicle here to have a diagnostic and the shop recommended a service. I went ahead and let them do the work only for the recommended service to not fix the problem. They then suggested replacing something in the transmission at an additional cost but I refused to let them do anymore work. 2 days later my vehicle started leaking transmission fluid. I reached out to the shop and of course they claim it's nothing they did to cause the problem but yet the problem didn't exist prior to me bringing it here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because instead of fixing issues, they are creating additional problems for customers in an attempt to make more $$.Service: Transmission

I'm glad to see that Thurman's reputation has continued to hold over the years. I will be contacting them in the very near future. I agree wholeheartedly with the earlier posted reviews. They have performed TWO transmission repairs for me in the past. The first job was not only excellent, but was less than any other estimate that I'd received from other shops. I was so pleased with the work, the price and the turn around time, I wanted to give them 'a little bonus'! My only comment is that 5 stars isn't enough.Service: Transmission

From the first phone call to the last conversation, I was treated like a friend. They were honest and up front about my vehicle. The quote I got was the exact amount I paid upon completion. Exact means down to the penny.They thoroughly explained the problem before they began repairs. As soon as I gave them authorization they started rebuilding my transmission. 3 short days later I was back in the saddle again. I felt the difference immediately! Honest, fair, and trustworthy. Another transmission shop said my truck needed a new transfer case, almost $4000 estimate. Thurman's looked at it, checked the codes, and found out it needed a computer reset that took 3 minutes to fix. They didn't charge me anything! I'll always go there from now on, because a good, trustworthy transmission shop is hard to find.

Had them rebuild my transmission, during the rebuild they bent the bracket for the radiator fan controller which then got caught in the fan cracking it, and leaving me stranded. They also cracked a second bracket holding on the fuel pump. I brought the truck back and they said it was impossible for it to be their fault. There is no other explanation. This business it dishonest.

We had to have our transmission rebuilt last year and I was having an issue with it. I dropped my 2003 Jeep and they fixed the problem in a couple of days. I highly recommend Thurman's Transmission they know their stuff.

If you're looking for an honest mechanic who knows what he's doing, look no further. Great, honest shop. Fixed my transmission leak no problem and fast.

Took my truck to get the transmission rebuilt and they said they couldn t work on it after a whole entire week. Took it to another transmission shop down the street and they started working on it right away.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Their staff including Mr. Thurman are EXCELLENT! They advised me on what was wrong with my car although it wasn't the transmission.
