Run! Come to this place at your own risk. They had my truck for months and when I would call to get an estimate ready date, they would get mad at me for asking. Jimmy (shop manager) needs an attitude adjustment. My truck ran for 2 days and broke down again.

Very, very extremely helpful place I had my torque converter go out in my transmission they rebuild my transmission and put me another torque converter in and then within two days I got to get it back before that Friday for a Cars and Coffee meet. They over exceeded my standards I am very pleased with this company I will refer this company to any and every one of my family members and friends on transmission work. They where every helpful. Thanks so much guy's from the owner of the black 2004 Chevy impala ss.

My experience was the BEST EVER. Mr. John was very knowledgeable & answered all my questions & concerns. My car is running good & they want to do a 10 day check-up to make sure everything good. Our experience with certified transmission has been awesome! From the beginning with a warm greeting and professional inquiry call, to a reasonable and affordable quote to their complimentary company tow truck and then a 3 day turn around for completion , it all exceeded our expectations. John provided excellent customer service and updates as it pertained to the replacement of our transmission and we would definitely refer certified trans in Stockbridge to anyone asking.Service: Transmission

If you re anything like me, I know you're here to read the reviews before deciding whether or not to patronize a business. So I wanted to review Certified Transmission based on my experience.I contacted certified transmission mid-February inquiring about prices and warranties. Price was almost too good to be true based on calls I had with other transmission shops. Which prompted me to go online and read the reviews, after reading I became very skeptical.I called back in and got one of the mechanics, he answered my questions but asked if he could have a manager call me to give me more details about certified transmission and their work ethic, I obliged.I spoke with John, who I learn shortly after was the owner of all the certified transmissions throughout Ga. John, even with my criticisms and pointing out all the negative reviews, remained professional. Answered all questions and stated to keep his cell phone number and call with any questions.Still weary, I continued calling around- but the price quote, I received at certified was by far the lowest and they offered the year warranty. Fast forward to 2/26/2020. I called John and had him tow my car in to start repairs. Tow truck arrived at my home within 90 minutes... John and I remained in contact throughout the day. I received a call 2/27 ( the next day) that my car was ready. I was impressed to say the least as I was quoted 3/4 days for a transmission rebuild.The manager (Jimmy) is a bit rough around the edges and can come off not so friendly, but what he leaves to be desired John ( the owner) makes up for. I had a slight problem after repair but John addressed it immediately. My warranty is for a year, so I will update if/ when things occur. I m glad that I gave certified a chance. If I provide updates I ll date them and go into as many details as possible. Hope this helps someone!!UPDATE - car started having issues today 8/15/2020, will update based on service received with warranty next week.However, after initial call just was VERY accommodating and concerned which is a good sign.ill update and be transparent with my review.

I took my vehicle to this location to have my transmission repaired. The communication with the shop manager (Jimmy) was 1 of 10 at best! His attitude stinks, he doesn't accept responsibility for any mistakes done by his shop. I had to take my truck back to him twice after my truck was repaired only to puck my vehicle up and the issue unresolved.I highly recommend that you take you vehicle to another shop because you will waste a lot of time, effort and money with this guy! Mind you I lived an hour from this shop and he cared less about the inconvenience of having to come back and forth and still not take care of a paying customer. Although the repair came with a 30,000 mile/ 12 month warranty, I am very certain he wouldn't honor it nor fix my vehicle.Service: Transmission

They saved my ford escapees life!!!!Transmission went out and every shop wanted $2800 or more to repair. After calling around, one shop laughed when I mentioned price I was willing to pay and he sarcastically said take it to "certified". Guess what? I Hung up the phone and called them. $1500 dollars later, I was riding again.. Transmission is shifting better than ever a year later. You could pay more, but why? Oh, they offer 12,000 mile or one year guarantee...shingles can be What!!!!!

This was the third vehicle that I have taken to Certified Transmissions and will continue to use them if needed and recommend them to my friends. Jimmy and John are both professional, honest, and straight forward regarding the work that needs to be done. If there are any issues, (as with the second vehicle), they are quick to repair and honor their warranty. Service is friendly and fast. Dropped the truck on Sunday, (they were closed), called them on Monday and dropped the key off, and it was ready by Tuesday lunch-time. I was also advised of some other minor problems that needed to be addressed, even though it is not work that they do in their shop. Appreciate the heads up on the minor maintenance repairs that need to be done, and again, will use them if needed in the future! Thanks guys!

Reasonable price! Rebuilt my transmission on my Ford Expedition and it started acting up almost a year later with 180 miles left in the warranty. He didn't give me a problem at all. Fixed the problem and haven't had a problem since. My SUV runs like a dream. This was 3-4 years ago since I was serviced. So just so you know this man is honest reasonable pricing and does a great job.

I've took my 06 ss impala to get transmission rebuild and since I had it back I had to go back at least 3 times and now in having problems with them putting my abs plug stick between my CV axle and cause it to short out where u start to take off. I went back and the told me they were going to fix it but I still haven't heard anything.Service: Transmission

I have absolutely ZERO complaints about this shop. I called around to get quotes to repair my 03 Hyndai Santa Fe. I was pleasantly surprised at the price they quoted me and even more pleased when they offered to come and tow my truck for me! My repairs took minimal time and EVERY question I asked was answered plainly.Car places can be tricky; notoriously mechanics try to get over on people. Here, although this is a business, they make sure you are taken care of and are definitely determined to ensure you vehicle runs safely and efficiently.

Phenomenal workmanship all around the board! Jimmy is an honest mechanic, he and all of his men take pride in their work and show the same genuine respect and work ethics with each customer. We've been going to him for any transmission/radiator for both of our vehicles since we moved here and we've always walked away satisfied and gracious both with their work and the way the treat our family. I couldn't give any higher recommendation! So grateful that there's still a few honest workers out there who take pride in what they do and who aren't out to break your wallet!

Needed transmisi�n work done so I took my car to get serviced here. Two months later I had to return for my service because of transmission issues. I m currently still having transmisi�n issues but I m way out of my warranty. There s no way you should have transmission issues 2-3 times in a two year span.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Went to here on referral from my mechanic.They took two days longer then they said it would and when I got my vehicle back the transmission was leaking.After 9 days the transmission stopped going in reverse and began to struggle in all other gears.Returned it and after 9 days and a different story every day as to why it wasn't ready I called my mechanic and complained to them about this lack of service.My mechanic called them and had to yell at them to get the ball rolling and called me back and told me they hadn't touched my car because it was a warranty repair, but that he's supposedly on it now.It's now day 13 and I'm still stuck with a different story a day.Don't go to these people, if they won't uphold their warranty on a referred customer I feel for you if you went their out of then blue

I Called Certified Transmission On Thursday Morning, May 16, 2019 For My 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup Truck And Manager John Sent The Tow Truck By 12pm On The Same Day. I Then Drove To Certified Transmission On The Same And They Had Already Took Out My Transmission. As Promised By ManagerJohn, Certified Transmission Had Rebuilt My Transmission In One Day. Manager John Came To My Residence To Take Me To Get My Truck. A One Year Warranty And And A Two Weeks Free Inspection Is Very Appreciated. Thanks You For Getting My Truck Back To Normal. The Most Reasonable Price Around. I've Already Informed Some People About Them.

Best place to get any kind of transmission work done. They diagnosed the flywheel on my GMC Sierra Z71. Fixed it. And replaced seals that were leaking while they had my transmission out. And work done when they said.They also rebuilt a transmission in a Jeep Cherokee I owed 3 years ago never had another problem out of it. Let's talk price !!! Best in Henry County. Peace of mind on the work they do. And price !!! Thank You. Jimmy & John. Y'all have a customer for life.
