I will never use this guy again. Fixed my truck only to have it run hot before I could get it home. Had to have it towed back to him only then for them to wreck my truck. And then refused to pay me or give his insurance information to my insurance company!!!! Even admitted fault to me and the my insurance company.

Owner he's such a honest person to start off my review! He has did few diffrent services for my car, replacing radiator & doing a tune-up.He's gives you fair prices honest prices. He's going to give you his best recommendations & nothing extra like some car places do. If it's something he wouldn't do or recommend he's going say so. One of my vehicles need a motor, he say we can try this to prolong the engine but his best advice is to just give it a used engine. They did a wonderful job changing my brakes without trying to overcharge me. As a young women I m used to other auto repair shops pressuring me to buy more than what I need so this place was a breathe of fresh air. Service was friendly and very respectful. I highly recommend their service!

This mechanic shop is really great. I am new to the area of Morrow so I was really skeptical about going to shop where I have never been before. But, they were so great with helping me with everything and made sure I knew what was going on the entire step of the way. They advised me what they were going to do to my truck and it exactly had and did not overcharge me. My truck was done and it's working great and I have had no problems ever since. If anyone is looking for a great mechanic and you have patience to know that you may have to get squeezed in or wait because of how busy they are this is the place for you. The quality of the work is awesome!!

Brackets Ratchet Auto Service is THE BEST PLACE to go and get your vehicle serviced/repaird at! Not only did Ricky and His Team take the time to explain to me exactly what the problem was, They also explained the step by step process they would take to get it repaired, THE RIGHT WAY! They completed the repairs in a very timely manner. They we're also VERY Professional! I liked the way that they handled their Business and the way that they Treated Me... (One of Their Newest Customers For Life!!) I am giving them a OUT OF They Will Be the ONLY Auto Service Repair Shop to EVER work on my vehicle WITHOUT A DOUBT!!! CAR STOLEN!!!! Brackett Rachet Auto Service Inc @ 7101 Jonesboro Rd Morrow, Ga. My car was stolen out of their parking lot today and they did nothing nor offered any assistance. The owner said it was my lost and refuse to provide any kind of insurance validation for my peace of mind. My car was stolen AFTER I finished paying for the engine repair (new rods, pistons, and cams) AND they did not have my keys when I asked for my keys . My car was at this shop for A full year and after a full year then it was stolen after they got it up and running! When they could not get my car to pass emissions, they figured it ll be less of a headache on their end to just steal my car or have someone steal my car and have me at a lost. My window was not broken and the robber conveniently stole my car under 1 minute. My car was stolen at 3:20 AM and this shop opens at 9AM. Richard called me at 1:20 PM to tell me that my car was missing. He nor his employees supposedly didn't notice my BRIGHT RED MUSTANG was gone from their lot until half the day was gone. The owner Richard told me that he would search local chop shops to see if my car pops up. These guys refused to show me surveillance and refused to report that a burglary took place on their property. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE or you might not ever see your car again.

Ratchet is the perfect name for such an absolutely disgustingly unprofessional, unresponsive, incompetent establishment. I brought my car in to receive a normal tune up, a simple normal routine maintenance or so I thought, Richard proceeded to take THREE days and avoided each call I made. Finally after getting a call returned Richard proceeds to try and tell me they had to repair multiple other items on my car and charge me TWICE the original amount. At the return of my vehicle I have since found out that pieces and parts of my vehicle had been replaced or intentionally damaged. Upon this discovery I have confronted Richard and was provided with explanations and responses that were not logical or possible such as the part must have fallen off and the damage was normal which have been confirmed to not be possible. Richard either simply does not have the knowledge to be working on vehicles or is under the influence or illegal substance while working . This shop will not only perform work you didn t ask for, they will destroy your car. I am absolutely DISGUSTED by this company and the unintelligence of their staff.

Do not go to this place Bracketts Ratchet I repeat do not go and don t say I didn t warn you. I brought my 2006 Tahoe to the shop because it failed emissions. He told me he will get the codes off it was 4 codes given. I left my truck with him for 3 weeks and he finally call me and say it s ready so I paid him $600 for the work and I immediately ask him are you sure this truck is ready to pass emissions and he replied yes you have no codes on and that you are good to go to pass emissions. I took truck to emissions place and they said I failed the emissions for the same reason I took it to him for so I immediately call Richard the owner at Brackett Rachet and tell him that I failed the emissions and why it failed if you did the work like you he said you done so he said well bring it back I must of forgot something or overlooked something. I took truck back to shop and he charged me again for the same thing which this time I had to pay more money out of pocket and that was $700 for the work which had supposed to been done the first time. In all I gave $1300 and this the second time around. I pick my truck up and take it back to emissions place and it failed again for the second time for the same exact reason it failed the 1st time. This guy has very bad Mechanical SERVICE AND CUSTOMERSERVICE It s very very HORRIBLE and I want never go back to this shop or recommend anyone should not go here as well. Choose another shop or you will regret it like me but I ll be taking him to court for taking my hard earned money and not doing any work that I paid forServices: Auto emissions testing, Auto maintenance

New to town and needed some repairs done to my car. I was really pleased. Being a woman I was worried about getting ripped off or lied t, but not at this place. The work on my car was great and I got it back the day he said I would. The cost was fair. Thank you

I would recommend this shop because I ve been here a couple of times and had good service. However , my last visit in Dec I didn t have good service. The shop was unstaffed and my car wasn t looked at properly. My engine was stalling and the mechanic told me it was the fuel pump causing it. My car was running fine until the second week of January when it begin to have the same problems it did before. The shop had my car for two weeks. My car is in worse condition than it was in December. It s stalling even more and the check engine light is on. The only reason I haven t been back is because I m in a different state. There are more problems with my car than the fuel pump but the shop rushed my car out because they had A LOT of cars to attend to and little staff. They do good work here but if they have no staff or had your car too long, just leave. Also, I had my brakes done by them and now they are squeaking and scrubbing so a definite rush job.

We arrived in Atlanta and picked up our car from airport parking. The car had a starting problem, so I looked up mechanics and found that Brackets Ratchet was open. After towing the car there, I noticed the premises looked like a junkyard. However, the owner, Richard came out and said he would check it out. The following day, I discovered that Richard, is a wonderful, intelligent mechanic, that fully understands how to fix your vehicle. He was more than fair and generous with his service. We drove 200miles home with no problems. Don't be put off by what's on the outside, just give Brackets Ratchet an opportunity to provide you service.

so ive just got on here to read some reviews i was thinking about getting some work done here.but i gotta say the whole "car stolen" thing makes me think otherwise.....so what happens if i leave my car with you people and it "gets stolen"?explain to me what you would do in that situation?

DO NOT COME HERE! All they do is lie and overcharge for work they never complete. They cut my control alarm and took my catalytic converter. Like who does this as a company. They were the last place I got my car worked at and since then I ve had nothing but problems. Don t say I didn t warn you. WARNING! STAY AWAY! CAR STOLEN!!I would have rated as zero but it does not allow.The owner, Richard Brackett stated he was out looking for the Red Mustang stolen from his shop . He stated he was good at what he did. (Not sure what that meant). That he was looking at all the chop shops and he knew where to look. He stated he recovered a car that was stolen before from his shop(Camaro) within 24 hrs. He was very defensive and fidgety not listening, taking words out of content concerning the theft of the mustang.He has decided not to provide the surveillance video as promised. Because we are simply stating what occurred at his shop in the reviews. Not sure if he had good intentions to email the video anyway.When asked for the keys to the stolen vehicle since his shop was not vandalized or broken into. Only the car taken. He tried giving two different sets of keys that were not ours. The shop was not vandalized or broken into to take the key from their key box. Mr. Brackett stated that because the car had an anti theft it s hard to steal the car. I saw no force entry or damage from the surveillance to the car while stolen or taken from his lot. The car was taken with care.Mr. Brackett seems unconcerned and it s our lost. He got paid.Any PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS OWNER would have called their garage car insurance agent to file a claim. It happen in their possession and property.Now, we have to react in a legal manner. We don t want anyone else to feel VIOLATED.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

They are great. Richard the owner is such a professional, kind hearted & concerned person.I have been working with him for years & no issues. His employees are the same way he is.They need some help there, they have too much work & not enough workers! I sadly have to find another mechanic shop. They can't hardly look to see whats wrong with your car for too much workload...

If I could give zero I would, the entire place was dirty and I called ahead they told me they could fix my O2 sensor but after working on my car, I came back and was told they don t work on O2 sensors. They never fix the problem and just charging randomly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

Those guys Chris and Chris and Richard are amazing. They are the best. They took care of my wife and her old Jeep. She has and old 91 with manual transmission. They did not hesitate. The took care of the clutch and other components for a fraction of the cost. God bless you all. Thank you for the great service you provide and the work you do. The best.

I have been a customer of this location for about 6 years now. Ricky has worked on two cars that i have and the work he does has been done in a timely manner and i couldn't ask for better pricing. One thing i love about coming to this shop is he is the most honest person in this industry. Highly recommend.

Very pleased with my experience at this shop.I took my car in for a suspension issue and was out within the hour..I took my own part so only labor I had to pay for which was cheaper than other shops around.The owner I think Richard was his name,is very friendly.I will definitely recommend them.Services: Auto windshield repair, Steering & suspension replacementServices: Auto windshield repair, Steering & suspension replacement

Honest mechanic with fair prices. I had to be towed there on an emergency and I don't feel like he tried to overcharge knowing that my vehicle was disabled. Location of the shop is easy to miss. I've recommended others that have had great service as well.

I Know more than the average non-mechanic about cars, so i know a good mechanic when i see one. With that being said, I came to Bracketts "Rachet" three times. The first two were good overall. Had to wait a while and the customer service is not very good, but the mechanics know a lot about cars and the prices are decent.My third visit I went to have a starter installed. I brought the piece in myself. They installed the part, but left off PARTS from the lower section of my car that were originally there. I know because I generally service my own vehicle. I let the owner and worker know and they got defensive and did not fix the issue. They made it out that I was in the wrong for noticing the STOLEN PARTS. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND BUSINESSES. AND personally, I honestly feel you should definitely STAY AWAY if your AFRICAN AMERICAN, as I am. They don't respect us unfortunately. I have first hand experience to prove my point. Don't give them your business.

Needed to get one of my belts replaced and I was given a reasonable/affordable price. Chris had me in and out to the best of his ability. It s a tight squeeze to get into the shop and he even helped turn my car around for me lol. Richard and his crew are friendly, very professional and I will definitely return!

I stopped in on a Saturday when everyone else was closed and the guys washing cars up front pointed me back to the mechanics. The job was cheaper than anyone else and Chris and Richard didn't object to me following them around and asking questions. I was very satisfied with the service and learned a lot.

I recently took both of my cars to Bracketts Ratchet Auto Service Inc to have some work done. They were friendly and professional!I had work done last year and found out that I needed to have the same work redone. Ricky and his crew were straight with me and I walked away very happy! The price was great and better then the other places that I called for a price quote. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time and it was done correctly! I have found someone that I can trust for all my car repairs! Thank you!

Great honest mechanic. Doesn t give you the run around like other mechanics who are just trying to make money. I had a list of things that needed to be done from the dealership and he took a look and could ve easily told me the same to make the money, but he looked and fixed what was wrong and tried to do it for free bc it was so minor. Seriously, Richard and his crew are good honest hard working folks and i highly recommend this auto repair shop!!

The owner did a horrible job reaching out to me via phone to keep me updated on a part that was suppose to be ordered for my car. I had to constantly call the shop myself to find out what was going on and was getting unprofessional feedback and support. The owner needs to work on his professionalism and being able to assist customers in a better manner. I was highly disappointed with the professionalism at this place and will never return or recommend this auto shop to anybody!

Their knowledgeable staff was very professional as well as patient enough to answer questions thoroughly and explain my options...i would definitely recommend using their shop for your automotive service and repair. Being a woman I've had some real hassles trying to get my car fixed so I immediately recognized the difference and appreciated this positive experience.
