I asked several local shops if they worked on old cars and did alignments on old cars.Statesboro Tire and Brake said yes and they came recommended by a few friends.Not only did they diagnose my issues correctly, they repaired them at a fair price.The ole Vette drives great and now the hard starting issue is gone.Thanks !

Took a month for the work to be done. Had to take the truck back twice after they did not secure bolts appropriately. Still have a different sound in my steering I didn t have before taking it to them but don t want something else messed up so I will be taking it somewhere else. This was also the second time I ve taken my truck there. First time same experience. Had to take the truck back after they replaced my front end because bolts were not securely fastened.

Best automotive shop in town hands down! Very knowledgeable mechanics, correct and honest assessments of any issue you may have. Customer service is fantastic and price range is awesome compared to other shops.

This is unquestionably the best mechanic in Statesboro, at least as far as I've explored. I stopped *needing* to explore once I got introduced to the fine technicians and service writers at Statesboro Tire and Brake.They occasionally have rather long wait times to get a vehicle serviced, but that really only speaks to their popularity and good reputation about town. They can also be a tad pricier than other options, but included is a high level of professionalism and attention to detail by the technicians and prompt and effective customer service throughout the repair process by the service writers.All in all, this family-run and completely independent enterprise earns 9/10 cool dude points and 10/10 Honest Johns for being so trustworthy. I will certainly continue with my current enthusiasm and exclusive patronage of this rad place.

I went to Statesboro Tire and Brake for a diagnostic on a check engine light and fluctuating temperature gauge. After a day and some change they told me that I needed a new radiator, water pump, new motor, and I blew a head gasket totaling $4750 in repairs. I opted out, as I felt the car wasn't even worth that much so I went to pick it up.When I went to pick it up from the repair shop, it didn't start. They "tried" jumping the car off but it didnt crank. I was told that the oil and coolant mixed so it was gone and beyond repair other than a brand new engine. I said I'd call AAA to pick it up and the guy tried to buy the car off me for $150 saying "that's sbout how much I'd get for parts anyways". Being that that sounded fishy, I opted out and let AAA come. The AAA guy came, and he jumped my car off (after the repair shop's attempt) and I was able to drive it home. I had another technician look at my car and he confirmed the radiator issues but found no blown head gasket or bad motor. My coolant had not mixed with oil, and my car wouldn't start because of a bad starter.In the end I was told my car had $3000+ more in damages than it really did. I feel that is dishonest and to try to buy my car off me for $150 thinking I would go for it was highly insulting as well. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Trying to help my kid in college down there from several hours away . Brandy and Kelvin were absolutely amazing. So accommodating and helpful! And reasonable !I have to amend this review. Had some more car issues- so we automatically went back.... We explained that we had a very specific timeline which they agreed to and said no problem. Well, they didn't touch the car for a day and a half and didn't advise us of this, we again called and when we found this out- reminded them of the agreement... They replied.. things happen...Needless to say- we picked up our car and will not return. Also found out from a different mechanic that they were attempting to grossly overcharge a college student.If I could give zero stars at this point- I would. I highly recommend you find another mechanic if you are in need in Statesboro.

came in for an alignment, which they couldn't do alignment due to rust and charged me $29.95 to tell me so. i get that time was spent to put it on the lift, but Mavis or any chain shop would never do that. i have also waited in the waiting room and listened to staff disparaging clients in earshot, which is unprofessional. the older guy was the only one who did not participate. not coming back and no , i don't need an owner response.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

I had the heater core replaced in my 2016 jeep Cherokee and they were the cheapest in town and did it in a very timely manner. They also just got my ac fixed and back going on the same vehicle. Friendly staff and reasonable prices and very trustworthy people. My truck is there now getting some front end parts replaced and a new alignment. This is the shop you want to use for all your vehicle needs!! Just talk to Shawn at the front desk on what you need and he can have you a quote within minutes. 5 star machanic shop in my eyes

I brought my vehicle in to get coil packs and plugs put in and when I got it back the ac was no longer working I addressed the issue and I was told by the owner he knows he s guys wouldn t have made an error mistakenly or deliberately and all I want to know is how can a person know % what another person or person s won t do this place is just like a vast number of other shops not thinking about residual or repeat customers but only the fast un honest dollar. A thief can never inherit the kingdom of God and life is temporary maybe they ll realize this before Jesus calls them home so very disappointed in a place that I ve given so much of my money and time.

I ve been using this shop a long time. I would give 5 stars but my recent visits weren t the best. BUT typically they are great! I had my car there all day on the 17th, exactly one week later on the 24th my battery died which isn t their fault but they charged me $88 for the install when really they could have changed the battery when I was there the week before. I asked specifically for them to tell me anything that might need to be changed out due to age and they totally missed this. They put the old/dead battery in and it should be in my customer profile, just like my tires and brakes, etc. Historically speaking, if they say I need something I trust them. And I take a preventative maintenance approach with my vehicle due to a long daily commute to Savannah. My car died in Savannah and I drove it all the way to Statesboro Tire and Brake due to loyalty. However, my advice is if you re sure your battery is dead just go to Advanced Auto and buy a battery. They'll install it for free.

Walked in needing an oil change and tire repair. They were super busy, so I dropped my car off, but that didn't stop them from taking care of business! They called me in less than 2 hours!!! If I waited, it might have been faster. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!!

I took my car there because it wouldn t crank and my tire keep going flat so they told me what was causing it not to crank but I asked them to look at tire tell if could be fixed or not they put my donut tire on and left my rim in the trunk throw away or stole my tire without my permission I called back he said what you want your tire for a souvenir no I didn t give you permission to do anything else with it period very unsatisfied to say the least

Statesboro Tire and Brake is the best. I ve been going to them since my freshman year at Southern back in 2018 when the motor broke in one of my windows and I freaked out. Fortunately, someone recommended them to me and I ve been going to them ever since. They re so nice and professional. On top of that, they re quick and efficient. I got my roommate to start going to them and she loves them too. Being a smaller local owned business compared to a dealer, they re more personable and give you a better experience. I can t speak highly enough about them. If you re new in town for school or just looking for somewhere to go, I 10/10 recommend going here.Services: Special vehicle towing, Oil change

Second reviewTo Roxie,You did not like your review? Well, you should have appreciated me taking the time to give you a courtesy review. I sat there and listened to you and Shawn call customer after customer before you did any work on their vehicle, but we didn't deserve that same level of respect as those customers? Did you think we would keep this a secret? And we still brought the car back because of one thing, and found erroneous charges including an alignment charge Shawn said your guy did, but really he didn't do it at all. 3 visits... Ask you for the copy of the quote he quoted, but you said you're the manager and would send it. Yet, you said nothing as he padded our bill, and your guy didn't complete all the work we were billed for. We didn't need brakes and Shawn never showed us the brakes, just said he did them because we needed them, like he did them for free? Still waiting for paperwork you said you would send yesterday...and you have the audacity to hang up in my face about the first review!! Obviously, you did not care about our review of our experience and you could care less about our money. Because you decided you would give us the service and experience you wanted us to leave with. So why do you care what we said on this review Ms. Manager. So what your customers know what your business ethics are? Your attitude today is a testimony of bad leadership and customer service. But there are no negative stars. We took our Lexus to have an engine put in. It sat two weeks before they touched it, and a week of being unnoticed. We brought it based our past experience, but this new guy Shawn, quoted us one price and padded our bill so much to justify the change in price for us to pick up the car, basically our car is a hostage negotiation. Never called us to tell us of things they found and would like to repair, just do the work, and bill you later. Are companies and employees so desperate to make extra that they have no second thought on cheating customers. Thats why people dont like mechanics, its VERY HARD to find one you can TRUST! This was a horrible experience and Shawn lied to us and didn't flinch. Family owned, we may need grandpa to do business like they use to, your word had meaning. Broke our key, repairs unapproved, dashboard lit up like mission control, and excessive parts being purchased that were on the engine pre-purchase. Don't be fooled by the 5 stars, that's only for certain customers. Very disappointed their integrity and customer service has come to this! Brought our Ford Escape here for a canister purge valve issue. They took the vehicle in and attempted to replicate the issue but the car would not replicate the issue described. Told us to bring it back as soon as the issue happened again and that they would be more than happy to fix it. Turns out the canister purge valve was causing the issue. They are very clear about their pricing and are willing to work with warranty companies as long as they are designated as a place where the warranty qualifies. A lot of people seem to get upset about pricing but don't ask questions about pricing and service up front. The staff is more than happy to break down the pricing on various services (they broke it down the pricing for different types of oil changes and the canister purge valve replacement for me when I asked). They also clearly explain what is causing the issue and why the repairs are necessary. As someone who doesn't know squat about cars, it was a relief to have such friendly staff who were willing to explain the issues and break down pricing. They were also had very clear communication with us and would update us on when they could see the car, when the part was expected to come in, and when the service would be finished. I used to be wary about coming here but due to their friendly staff, great service, and clear communication, they have gained a customer for life! Thank you Statesboro Tire and Brake!

I went in to ask about getting my tire fixed. Asked if they do a plug patch, and all they do is patch. When I asked about why they don't plug tires I was told that "it's illegal for them to plug tires". Needless to say, they did not get my business, and won't ever get any business from me. It is NOT illegal to plug a tire. If they are willing to lie about this, what else will they lie about?

Brought by car in for a repair that was diagnosed in a previous visit. The car was there for 2 days before they called and said they haven t ordered parts yet and they wanted $300 more than the original quote. When I was getting ready to leave I noticed that all the panels underneath my steering wheel were off and laying on the floor. I had to wait for a mechanic to come and put it back together before I could leave. Also when I got home from the shop I noticed my hubcap was missing. The office staff has also lost my keys on two separate visits. I do not recommend this place to anyone and won t be returning myself.

If your looking for a repair shop or just general maintenance, Statesboro Tire and Brake is your go to for anything. I have used them many times and have never had a bad experience. They have taken care of any issues I've brought them and I have had a couple cars that wanted to be difficult. They went above and beyond to help me get back on the road and even offered me a loaner vehicle when my car was being difficult, so I could continue to run my business. They are honest, and prices are fair and reasonable. They will always have my business! My daughter is a student in the area and needed her AC serviced so a parent s Facebook group led me to Statesboro Tire & Brake. Kelvin took such good care of my daughter and her car. I called and made an appointment for her to drop it off and he diagnosed it and her total out the door was $70. It was a relay switch. He could have told us anything and charged us whatever he wanted but he was trustworthy and only charged for what was actually needed. All that to say is, definitely use Statesboro Tire & Brake for your car care and great service. ST&B is a great resource for your kids vehicle needs when they aren t close to home.Service: A/C installation & repair

I took my jeep to them. After almost a week they "fixed" and charged $ 400, the next day my car was failing again. The same problem. I bring the car back to them and they fixed it and charged another $ 130. This time I thought they would fix it, but they did a bad job and the car accelerated by itself. I almost had an accident, I was very scared and the car was running crazy. I drove my car over to them again and they said they didn't have time to check it out. What? I already paid for the repair twice and now they don't have time! ... Im still waiting...... I need my car...Service: Auto engine diagnostic
