I Highly recommend the PepBoys at 2653 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. Trey & Tyler are extremely professional and patient. They explained issues and expected costs really well. I most often get my repairs done in a quick period. I prefer this location and they have a great team!

This place has been super helpful for me. Had a flat tire that they were able to patch up. Then needed an oil change, and could wait at the Dunkin /Starbucks coffee shop next door. Service and friendliness are great here.

Before you decide to use Pep Boys for tire purchases or installations, I want to share a critical warning based on a recent and alarming experience at their 2653 Cobb Pkwy location which uses faulty and old repair equipment.After having new tires installed, we faced a dangerous situation where a brand new tire went flat while driving. The staff at Pep Boys admitted that this was due to the use of faulty equipment during the installation process. This incident highlights a severe disregard for vehicle safety. Using inadequate tools for tire installation poses a significant risk, especially when it leads to incidents like a tire going flat on the road. When approached for a resolution, due to the evident safety risks, Pep Boys refused to acknowledge the severity of the situation or offer any form of compensation. Their response was dismissive, despite the clear danger presented by their service shortfall.Given this experience, I strongly urge anyone considering Pep Boys for tire services to be extremely cautious. The safety of your vehicle should always be a priority. It may be worth exploring other service providers who demonstrate a commitment to both customer safety and satisfaction, considering this location uses old and malfunctioning repair equipment as the manager admitted.Your safety and the safety of others on the road should never be compromised. It s crucial that tire service providers maintain the highest standards of equipment and service quality. Unfortunately, based on my experience, this Pep Boys fell short of these expectations, leading to a dangerous situation that could have been avoided.

I had a great experience with this location. The worker Troy was extremely helpful. They couldn't take care of my vehicle at this location. But he made sure my car was transferred somewhere else and fixed!

I have used this Pep Boy location since 2001 but never again. Set an appointment for oil change and to patch a tire on Thursday, for Friday their next available at 4PM. On arrival they had no record of me booking an appointment. The store manager Sara said no problem I will get you in. After sitting in the waiting area for 1.5 hours with no updates, I was told by Sara the manager, that oil changes routinely took two hours to complete. This is absolute nonsense. I booked an appointment the day prior that they failed to honor, they had no record of me booking an appointment. Finally after all the of waiting, the mechanic said he could not patch my tire and pointed out the completely wrong spot that had a leak. I asked him if he had even tested the tire for air pressure to determine where the leak was coming from, nope. I had to show him where the leak was coming from. Of course, he immediately said he couldn't do it. The leak was coming from the center of the tread, nowhere near the wall. This mechanic was surly and very rude in his response. I asked them to finish the oil change and to replace the tire in the bed of my truck as I was taking it with me. I had originally brought the tire in the bed of my truck. Sara, the manager then proceeded to quote me on a new tire from Pep Boys. I had paid for road hazard protection when I bought the tire from Pep Boys about 9 months prior. Her price for a new tire was $197.00 plus labor to install @ $60.00 and my road hazard protection had reduced the tire cost $60.00. I paid roughly $20.00 per tire for the protection. So technically I was getting a $40.00 savings, but I never paid labor to install originally as I did one of their labor free promotions. The road hazard warranty is a joke. Especially if you count the overall cost of four tires. She stated she was going to order the tire and have it in no later than 10:00 the next day and would call me to let me know. At 11:00 the next day after receiving no phone call, I took the tire to Discount Tires and asked them to patch if they could. Discount Tires is professional, courteous and within an hour had patched the tire FOR FREE and came back and told me it was an easy fix. I never told them of any issues with Pep Boys, they just did the job. The waiting area at Pep Boys is rundown and dirty with literally the stuffing coming out of all waiting area seating. The waiting area at Discount Tires is bright, clean and pleasant. The difference between the staff is the same. Pep Boys didn t call me back with the arrival of the tire until after 1:30 on that Saturday but at that point I had my tire patched for free and received an awesome experience from Discount Tires in Woodstock, my new goto location for tires and service. Would recommend to steer clear of Pep Boys based off lack of service and unprofessionalism.

I've had trouble with this location in the past but after a positive review from a friend of mine, I decided to give them another chance. They had the car 1 day, diagnosed the issue, fixed it quickly and got me back on the road. Quick and efficient. WAY BETTER than before so give them another shot if your previous experience wasn't great.

Shop is small but the service is great! Had rear brakes and rotors installed. They even found and repaired a potentially catastrophic issue with my front brakes that were installed at a well known dealership 2 months prior. I would confidently recommend this shop.

I had 4 new tired replaced here. Casey and his team were exceptional!! This location is a small service shop, so they have a tendency to get overwhelmed, but they do a good job and their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Thanks for the good experience!

I made an appointment for 8am, when I arrived 5 minutes to 8, all the bays where closed, the lights were off and there wasn't a single employee there. The parking lot was full of waiting customers. All this even though they were supposed to be open at 7am. When some finally arrived 20 at 20 minutes after 8, he was the only person who was going to working so I was told I'd have to wait several hours even though I had an appointment.

Came in to ask about some damage to my tire and whether the tire would need replacement. Troy was very helpful and said that I would not need a replacement. I appreciated his honesty and will likely come back in the future as a result.

Great service and fast turnaround. Since it was Veteran s day weekend on Nov 10, 2023, I got a very nice discount for my Kumho HP71 tires and wheel alignment. Thank you Pep Boys for honoring and supporting military veterans!! I ll be using them again in the future!

Trey was so helpful to me at 7:15 am on tuesday feb.13. Im so blessed they were open i was on the hiway and someone hoodcap off there tire came off and it went under my car messing my finder liner up and he help take it off.. he was awesome

Got an oil change done on a Sunday (with an appointment it took over 3 hours), and all was fine. When I go to drive my car the following morning, the check engine light is flashing. On the way home from work, the light is still on & the car begins to shake. I brought it straight back & was told on Tuesday I needed a whole new engine because it was covered in sludge. The second my boyfriend showed up & started asking questions they got short with their responses. The engine never seized (they even confirmed it) so we took it elsewhere. The new mechanic then showed us there was absolutely 0 signs of sludge & that my spark plug on cylinder 6 was drenched in oil. He said this could ve been done by the oil change or the flush they claim to have done. It took running 1 code which pep boys never even got a reader out to determine a faulty spark plug. Everything with the engine was completely fine. If my boyfriend had not started asking questions & took the car somewhere else, I would ve been out almost $20,000 for a new engine plus labor. I felt as though they completely tried to take advantage of a young woman there on her own. I am so unbelievably angry & upset at this shop do not go there unless you want to be cheated!

I've had 2 bad experiences here. Both times I had appointments and both times I left without receiving service. This last time I scheduled a 9am appointment and was told by the guy working that he was the only one working as a front desk clerk and a mechanic. How is it even possible to work both jobs alone? Makes no sense at all. With that being said, I would have to leave my car for pretty much half the day for a tire rotation. They are better off doing walk ins only because what is the point in offering appointments if the wait is half the day? I truly believe they put walk ins before appointments if the walk in arrives before the scheduled appointment. However they do business they need some serious training and more staff!

Made an appointment for 9am on Tuesday. I arrived at 8:54 am. There were two workers. Tony and Eric was there assisting another customer. I was never greeted. And after Eric proceeds to tell me that i have a 5 -6 hour wait as he has other cars ahead of me. As there are only three bays and 4 cars are already in it. The customer service is horrible as he said I can either leave it or not get serviced. Even though i booked an appointment. Wouldnt recommended this place as they obviously cant handle customers or the flow of traffic. Or maybe its because i am a female.

This location has worked on my vehicle on several occasions. Whether it be oil changes, replacing my tires, or fixing my alignment after a deer accident, they've always been my go to for services. Eric and his team are professional, courteous, and have always taken the best care with my car.

Service took longer than expected with an appointment and I was not updated via the link or verbally on the status of my car. And the toilet was out of order but I saw one of the employees go in it and use it. It was inconvenient I had to go to another establishment to use their toilet. I'm overall satisfied with the experience but it certainly wasn't exceptional

My car started acting up while we were in town on vacation. pulled into the first shop and noticed it was definitely the alternator. Spoke with the staff and they told me they could have the car taken care of by the following day. Got the call for pricing, and work was performed promptly. This was life saving and helped my family vacation alot. The following day after picking up the car I realized the a/c had stopped working. They had failed to connect 2 plugs that were dangling directly next to my brand new alternator, so I'm not sure how you miss that. All in all what could have been an excellent experience instead left me inspecting my car before the trip home.

Repeat - and very happy - customer here! I have been to this location twice in the past 6 months, for a tire repair and a tire replacement. Jamar and David provided superior service on both occasions. Jamar will brighten even the worst day, and David is a fantastic technician! They are transparent with pricing (the new tire was actually less than quoted). I appreciate their honesty about what work really needs to be done immediately and what you should reevaluate at a certain date/mileage. No one tried convincing me that I needed new filters or a more expensive tire - truly a first! This Pep Boys location on Cobb Parkway is my go-to for any vehicle needs. Thank you, Jamar and David!!

DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION!!!!Made an apt Tuesday @ 10:30am. Provided a diagnostic and an cost assessment conducted by another pep boys, location less than 30 days prior. Pep boys advised they would need to conduct another diagnostic bc they have never worked the truck. With no updates, I called the Symrna location (at 5:30) for a update. Advised they had just finished the estimate and the truck would remain overnight for repairs to be completed.-Following day. With no update (via app or direct contact), I called the location at 3pm, assuming my car would be ready soon. That was not the case. I was told the parts had not come in and would need to hold my truck another day.Friday morning, I was promised the truck would be ready for pick up that afternoon. Picked my car up ($1200 invoice) at 4pm.By 7pm (3hrs later) the check engine light was back on. Had another diagnostic done - same error code. The same error codes that took 3 days to fix.Could not reach anyone at the location over the weekend.Monday morning, spoke with the manager (Eric) who told me to bring the truck back and drop it off for the day so that can check it out . Eric advised me, there is only 1 mechanic that works that the location and the only had 3 bays, so i would need to wait until the mechanic finish with the car in the bay (which can take 5 hours). What do you expect me to do - Eric, Manager

This place is horrible. I made an 8am appointment and the guy shows up late at 8:20am to open the shop. He told me his technician isn t there yet so he doesn t know how long my servicing will take and asked me to leave my car. I called at 11am to check and was informed that they won t be able to service my car today and it s better to just find somewhere else. Complete waste of time and don t bother making an appointment

I have serviced my vehicle at this location twice. The first time was not necessarily noteworthy, however, the second time was remarkable. They may have had a recent change in management but the assistant manager, Jeremy, who helped me was so professional. He truly made me feel like I was servicing my Mercedes at a dealership; they even reset my service settings. I was going out of town the next day and needed new tires, he ensured they were installed along with my regular oil change and even arranged for me to be dropped off at the location where I had a dentist appointment so I could do as much as possible seeing I was leaving town the next day and had multiple errands to run. I truly enjoyed the professionalism and service I experienced during my second visit and will definitely service my vehicle here again.
