We found ourselves on a 2 day road trip and on the first leg of our trip, our vehicle broke down and needed a tow at midnight. I searched up the local garages on Google, and Sanderlin's had high reviews, so we had our car dropped off there. I can now confirm that the reviews are legit! First thing in the morning we called the shop and spoke to Billy, the owner,; we could tell right away he was very knowledgeable. We were in such a pinch b/c we had to get back on the road but needed to know what was wrong with our car. Although he had a full schedule and other jobs on the docket, he knew we needed to get back on the road as soon as possible and told us he'd take a look right away. He called us back and let us know the issue and while he wasn't able to get it fixed that day due to parts needing to be ordered, he also didn't hold our vehicle ransom by saying it was undrivable until he fixed it. He told us the engine all checked out and how we could baby it for the rest of our trip until we could get back home. Our car was covered with oil and he helped to clean up what he could and gave us extra towels and rags to load up our undercarriage cover in the back. He charged us a very reasonable diagnostic fee , especially considering this was a rushed emergency job, and with his advice, we did get our car back home and are able to fix it now. On a side note, he's a great chatter and you should definitely chat with him about current events! Thank you so much to Sanderlin's for getting us back up and on the road and back home! Savanah is lucky to have such a reputable and experienced shop! Also the customer waiting room was one of the cleanest I've ever seen for a mechanic's shop with tons of cool auto related decorations :)

The customer service here is incredible! The owner, Billy, was thorough in explaining what was wrong with my vehicle and offered multiple options instead of trying to sell me on the most expensive service. It's great to have a local mechanic who cares about honestly helping above all else.

I ve been to several different shops around the Savannah area and Sanderlin s takes the cake. Billy is BY FAR the best mechanic I ve ever been to. He is reliable, efficient, and always ensures that you know exactly what s going on with your vehicle. He always makes sure to explain the repair to me, including costs of parts and labor and is generally very transparent about why it costs what it costs. There s never any hidden fees, and he ensures you always know exactly what you re paying for. This is fantastic not only as a consumer, but also as a woman, I NEVER have to worry about being taken advantage of when I bring my vehicle here. I have recommended him to friends and coworkers, and as long as he s in business and I m living in Savannah, I ll never trust another mechanic to make repairs on my car. This mechanic not only fixed my car; he took the time to explain to me exactly what went wrong and how to prevent it in the future. When I called him later about another issue, he asked me to check a few things, and I ended up being able to fix the problem myself for less than $10. If you re looking for that down home feeling and being around family vibe, this is the place! Billy and his wife were extremely busy but still made time to get my car in for service. Used them several years ago to rebuild transmission in my 1989 Chrysler New Yorker. They are totally honest, and did fantastic work for a reasonable price. I highly reccomend.

Mr Billy & Wife they are very friendly and totally honest, he will let you know what you need or don t. If you re looking for a new mechanic I do recommend Sanderlins Automotive you won t be disappointed.

My girlfriend just moved here from Pittsburgh, and I drove her down to help her get settled. The "service engine soon" light came on shortly after arriving, and since I will be going back to sell our home, I needed to get my car checked out for the return trip. Since Sanderlin's Automotive was nearby and had great Google reviews, I called to make an appointment. As could be expected, they were pretty well booked up, but squeezed me in the following day.When I arrived, Billy personally scanned the computer fault codes, which revealed that the transmission torque converter had stuck. He then took the car out for a test drive and confirmed that the occurrence was a temporary and that the torque converter was engaging and dis-engaging properly. Billy clearly explained each step of the diagnosis as he performed it, leaving no doubt that he is a master mechanic. When we returned to his shop, I asked how much I owed for the diagnosis, He simply stated "we're good", and wished me a good trip back.Based on my recent experience, I highly recommend Sanderlin's Automotive to anyone looking for an honest, highly qualified, Automotive Service establishment. I look forward to becoming one of their regular customers in the future once I sell my home and move here.

Sanderlin s is a great place to get your vehicle serviced and repaired. You must be patient because those that already know how great the team is are already there. Gas/ diesel doesn t matter bring your vehicle here get the best service at a great price.

Phenomenal service! Billy knows his stuff and took care of my little Forte. You can't beat the prices and customer service. I was dropped off at home and picked up as well. Super convenient! I will definitely be coming here if I run into anymore issues with my car because I know I won't be misled or pay for services I don't need. Billy gives it to you straight! 100% honest service. 10/10

Listen guys, Sanderlins is the BEST auto repair shop in this entire area. He and his team know what they are doing. If you have anything wrong with your vehicle, they will definitely take care of you. Give them a try first. There is NO COMPARISON ANYWHERE!! They are AWESOME and very reasonable.

I have a 2015 F350 diesel 6.7 that I took to Billy, the owner, when I was having an unexplained issue with my exhaust system fluid warning on my dash putting my truck in limp mode. I was in no rush to get her back. But when the work was completed and the price I paid. Amazing!Taking my Ford truck here was definitely a smarter decision than taking it to a Ford dealer or anywhere else. Billy kindly explained that it needed to be reset by a computer certified Ford scanner. Nothing mechanical. Thankfully they have one. Should any further work be out of my hands & need a diesel shop, I'm going back here. Very friendly and accommodating people and place. Thanks again.

Very genuine people. Took my Camaro a week ago and he not only figured out what was wrong with it (that no one else had), but told me step by step what he found as he fixed it. Also prices are reasonable and his wife is very attentive and sweet. I'll definitely be going back when and if ANYTHING happens. I do recommend.

These guys helped me out when I blew out a universal joint on my trip from Tennessee. Got a room late that night called the shop first thing the next morning. We were in a real bind. They jumped right on my project and went the extra mile for us to ensure we could continue on our trip. I can't say enough good things about this shop and the owners. My dad (JQ) recommended Billy to check out my car. It was making an awful noise when I started it and the a/c was not working properly. We dropped it off on Monday and got it back on Wednesday. He definitely didn't overcharge and did a great job. Cheryl and Billy are AMAZING!!! From the moment we met, I felt like family and they are easy to trust. I didn't get the jargon like alot of other shops give. Billy was fast and accurate diagnosing my air conditioning issues. Quality services were provided at an affordable price. No wonder the parking lot is always packed... I visited Sanderlin last week as I was traveling through the area and had cylinder misfire issues. Billy diagnosed the problem, fixed it right away, and had me back on the road immediately despite the fact that the shop was busy. I can't thank them enough. The people who work at car dealerships are called mechanics, but they're not! More like vultures! I had some trouble with my truck and the dealership was going to charge me an arm and a leg for possible fixes, but they couldn't figure out the problem. Frustrated with them, I decided to call up Sanderlin's Automotive, because I had heard good things about them. Billy, over the phone, told me exactly what he thought the problem was but told me to bring it down after work so he could take a look at it. Mind you, his day was over by the time I got there! He checked out my truck, confirmed what he had thought and quoted me a price HALF THE DEALER'S. If you want REAL mechanics working on your vehicle, first stop should be Sanderlin's! Great people, great prices, great work. I'm not taking my truck anywhere else!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Cheryl and Billy was so understanding and patient with me and my son. My son car wouldn't start and we thought it was the alternator ,but it was the starter and than Billy found that the wires that connects to the starter was burned out and needed to be replaced before he did that he called my son and explained the problem and got the okay to do the job. The tow truck person Alan that has been working a long time with them was very cautious with his car and really polite and a gentleman. I read reviews and they had such glowing reviews and I am so happy I found them my son is so happy he has his car and the owners has a new customer coming in for his car repairs. Thank you Billy and Cheryl.

Billy diagnosed and fixed up our company box truck, after we had taken it to several other mechanics, who couldn't figure out what was wrong. Several hundred dollars later, and a box truck that still didn't work, someone recommended Sanderlin's. Billy fixed it up after really spending a lot of careful time on it, and it hasn't had any problems since he fixed it.When our family vehicle died on the side of the road, we had it towed to a closer mechanic. They kept it for a few weeks, but couldn't pinpoint the problem, and recommended that we try a dealer instead. Instead, we had it towed to Sanderlin's. He diagnosed and fixed up the problem again.We are so glad we've finally found a reliable, excellent and honest mechanic! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have used Sanderlin's for 5 years now. They are the best. I have complete confidence to drop off any of our cars for work. I do some of the work on my cars myself so I have a good idea when work is done correctly. Sanderlin's does what I ask correctly and with the highest quality. After the most recent work in April 2015 my 202,000 mile F-150 truck was returned running like new. I have witnessed Billy working with customers and giving them the very best recommendations on what work is needed. I cannot understand anyone getting a car or truck back that is not working properly.Bill Jones

Sanderlin knows more about cars than anyone I've ever met. He can tell you what's wrong with your car before you have the chance to tell him, just by listening to it. They're the nicest people who won't charge you for services you don't need. This is the only shop I'll take my cars to, even if I have to tow from across town.

Sanderlin's is the only place I'll take my vehicle to. Billy is honest and fair. Had problems with my truck a few months back and I got the run around from some other shops. Billy was able to diagnose the problem and quote me with a very reasonable price in less than a day. Truck has been running great ever since. I'd recommend Billy and his garage to anyone.

Mother's Day Sunday while traveling back from our son's wedding on Jekyll Island our GMC Suburban suddenly lost power and stopped on I-95 just before I-16. We abandoned the vehicle and traveled on home as we had an extra vehicle at the wedding. Around 9am Monday I spoke will Billy Sanderlin. He had the vehicle towed to his shop and by 11:30 called to tell me the vehicle was ready. When I went back on Thursday to pick up the vehicle I was amazed at how reasonable the bill was. In a day where too many shops take advantage of stranded motorists it is refreshing to know there are still shops run by men of integrity. I would highly recommend Sanderlin's Automotive Services to anyone. They are professional, courteous, and timely. Also there invoices are clear and straightforward. Most of all there prices are reasonable.

We run a small rental property business and have taken all of our vehicles to Billy since 2005. Excellent service and a fair price. We normally don't give referrals but Sanderlin Automotive is the exception. We recommend Billy all the time when someone is looking for a good honest mechanic.

I went in to ask for a pricing because I heard how good he was and fair prices and that he would work with you, well that's all Bull! He wanted to charge $98 to run a test which tells you what exactly the problem is and a that is you uses a tester which only takes a few mins. Then he wanted to charge $97 per hour just to switch out a pump and that doesn't take long plus his add says you will be completely finished within 5min - 2 1/2 hours. Plus the price of the pump is separate. I have found someone that if I purchase the pump will run the test plus put it on for only $75. Usually he charged $150 regardless how long it took and he worked with me on the price because of my budget! Now my car runs like brand knew and all without breaking me.Next time you want a review go and talk to Billy and get your own cause the ones I followed on here were full of it!

I would recommend Sandrelin's to anyone they treat you as if you are their only customer, even though they are constantly booked. You can trust that Billy and team does the best to get you safely back on the road, workmanship is to the highest quality.
