As the former manager of a tire store myself, I have to say this is one of the least competent and professional tire stores I've ever experienced.A week ago I had a blowout on my ProMaster van I use for deliveries. I took my spare out to install and found it had a hole in the sidewall and was unusable. I called a roadside service department and somebody came out and installed a used tire on the front of the van, I put my spare away.Fast forward a couple of days and I arrive at this location. When I get there only one person is working on a car and everybody else is either standing around and talking or doing something else. Didn't look like much was going on so I didn't think much of it. I go to the counter to get a new tire to match my other ones and ask them to put the used tire I just purchased underneath the vehicle as the spare. The tire had to be ordered So I did that and set an appointment for today to have it installed. I arrived today at about 8:45 and again, only one person is working in the shop. Then the two guys working the front - one's name was Mike and the other I did not catch - start talking about how another employee had showed up 45 minutes late and they fired them. So they were still waiting for someone else to come in. Okay, not too big a deal, there's nothing super pressing I had to do today so I leave it there for a little while. I come back at 11:15 and 10 minutes later they pull my van out of the shop. They then tell me that they don't have the tools to get my spare tire down in order to mount the tire they're replacing on the rim. Okay... It's the same setup used on all ProMaster vans among others, I expected they would have the right tool. Also somebody could have called and mentioned that or they could have just pulled the tools out of the van to use. Neither would have been a big inconvenience to them seeing as hell they weren't working on anything anyway. So I tell them I'll just take the tire down myself. Come to find out the winch mechanism is jammed and stripping. I seriously doubt I could have done that with my bare back on the side of the road, but who knows? I suspect whoever tried taking it down used air and accidentally tightened it, but I can't say for sure. As I'm checking out the same two guys are talking about how the employee they just fired had listed being jailed twice on his application, and how one of them walked in on another employee smoking a meth pipe in the bathroom.Ok, listen guys, NO CUSTOMER OF YOURS WANTS TO HEAR THIS! It's none of our business and it certainly isn't any of yours to be discussing in public. And it REALLY looks bad for Mavis Tire when their representatives act like this around customers. Maybe they were comfortable talking like this around me because I shared my eclipse glasses with them during the eclipse, but I suspect this is their general behavior. I will certainly never be back at this location, but as I have experience over many years working with Mavis (and previously Kauffman Tire) in the past I know this isn't typical of their stores. Maybe it's a Savannah thing, I don't know. All I do know is I've heard a lot of gossip i didn't care to hear, the service was very unprofessional (and that's putting it kindly), and I now have yet another expense incurred with taking my van to a Ram dealer to fix my spare tire winch, which may or may not have been caused by them.I'd recommend finding someone else to shop other than this particular location.UPDATE: I wrote this review before pulling out. As I was leaving my low tire light came on. I got out and checked it with my own tire gauge and the tire had 30 PSI. This is a heavy duty work van that requires 65-80 PSI in the tires. Being an LT tire any tire tech in the world knows that. They also know every vehicle has the tire pressures printed right on the side of the door jamb. Madness.

Excellent service! Employees were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Went over different options and made me feel like they actually cared... extremely helpful. Lady was especially nice! Anyway, it is hard to find great customer service like this. Whoever is doing the hiring, keep it up!service

Efficient, quality service! Everyone was really approachable. They were able to slot us in as soon as I was available and worked with us to get the specific tires I needed. I'm a female college student and prices felt not just honest without any hassle at all, but competitive. Unfortunately that's not always a global experience when you walk into anything auto-related in your early 20's or a skirt... I really appreciated that!

Two hard working Techs, and a friendly Woman behind the counter. The time taken to mount and balance four new tires was solid given they had five cars in the bays but seemed short staffed.Mavis needs to hire more techs but these two guys knocked it out.Mavis the company is alright but the staff here made our experience great. Recommend for sure.

Terrible company beware! They will ruin your vehicle with no remorse. The staff lacks training, professionalism, common sense. They ruined my rim on my vehicle and literally took 3 days to install 1 tire!

Went for an oil change and they drained my transmission fluid instead. Because my 2015 Infiniti Q60s requires a special tool to refill the transmission fluid, which they didn't have, they simply sent me on my way with a drained transmission. I made an appointment for noon for a simple oil change, returned 5 hours later and my car was still sitting on rack. I waited 2 more hours, 1 hour after they closed. The manager kept telling me they were topping off the tranmission fluid. My transmission was perfect, and not in need of being topped off. The area manager agreed to give me a 2 year written warranty to cover problems from the damage, but is now ghosting me. This store is incredibly dangerous. They are willing to make mistakes and hide them instead of fixing them.

If I could rate a zero I would, last week I just drove down to get an oil change and a tire fix, they told me it would take at least a couple hours as they had a tech call in sick, so I said I'd make an appointment for Thursday the next week which would be today. Got the re this morning about 9:45 for my 10 am appointment, a young lady was waiting in the lobby with us, I asked her how long she's been there, she was getting an oil change and been there since her 9 o clock appointment by the time 11 am came around and my car hasn't even been pulled back I was done waiting the other lady was still there went down the street to express and was taking right in..

I had the worst experience I had my car towed to the shop they found out what the problem was they have to change a few pumps. I agreed to have them to do the job and then my car sit for two weeks. No one looked or touched the car since I asked when they gonna fix the car she said in two days and then no one fixed the car, then they gave me back my keys and told me they re not going to fix my car then I assume that they want me to have my car towed to another mechanic I called the corporate office to explain myself to them. I don t understand how in the world they got a mechanic in there shop that don t want to work if you need any work, I would not choose this company. Bad experience.

I had a wonderful experience at Mavis Tire on Oheechee road. The manager made me feel like I was the only customer in the world. The staff was super friendly and the lobby space was super comfortable. I would recommend them above all other tire companies.

Store manager tried to rip me off out of $2,100 job! I first took my car here to get a diagnosis done to figure why my power steering fluid was leaking and also had some shaking and knocking coming from front right tire side. They told me what needed to be fixed allegedly it was the rack and pinion and power steering hose that cause the leak, and also tie rods needed to be replace to stop shaking from right wheel. I let them do the job. I picked my car up and the next day it was still leaking and shaking. I took it back the store manger said that it wasn t leaking and the shaking was a whole different problem from what they allegedly diagnosed it. Me and the store manager got into a confrontation going back and forth with words when I got back up there because he was telling me that there was no leaking which was a lie!! Luckily the regional manager was up there, which is a very helpful person. He stepped in and took me to look at my car. Turns out they didn t even replace the tie rods, so they charge me about $400 for work was not done and looking under the car on the rack you could clearly see power steering fluid leaking from the bottom of the car.Anyways he found where the leak was coming from and had it fixed correctly. If it wasn t for him my car wouldn t been fixed. Also he refunded me for the tie rods that was supposed to be fixed, which wasn t even the reason why the car was shaking. If it wasn t for the regional manager being there that day, I would ve been ripped off out of $2,100 and my car wouldn t been fixed. I would ve have to call corporate. Store manager not trustworthy at all!!!

Christmas weekend my Buick would not crank, so my husband called around and we were so thankful for Mavis/Savannah tire being open. Little did we know, we were headed for a bad experience and our vehicle would be out with them for a total of 8 days for replacement of a starter.Day 1 (Friday) - couldn't look at the vehicleDay 2 (Saturday) - Christmas (closed)Day 3 (Sunday) - they looked at my vehicle but couldn't figure out what was wrong...mentioned checking the batteryDay 4 (Monday) - we were told that it may be a wiring issues and would have GM Doric take a look and get back to us, (never got back to us) so my husband called only to be told its a wiring issue (which we were told earlier) so whomever my husband spoke to was rude and told my husband to come pick it up our vehicle because they're not capable of fixing electrical issuesDay 5 (Tuesday) - I came to Mavis/Savannah tire to pick up car seats for our rental that we had for 5 days, I met GM Doric, who tried to crank a few times and was successful with cranking it and immediately discovered it was the starter. By now its DAY 5 and you all are now realizing it was the starter! Also, just a reminder the battery compartment is open...did you know?? No he didn't...was it taken care of? We'll soon find out!Day 6 (Wednesday) - my car continued to sit there outside because GM Doric was not there... (I assume he was the only capable person there to replace a starter) we were supposed to receive an estimate that day as well..my husband called and whomever he spoke to didn't even know what was going on with our vehicle...so our car continued to just sit there until GM Doric came back to work Thursday. They were also supposed to order parts this day.Day 7 (Thursday) - my husband went up there lunch time to check in on things to find out that they didn't even order parts!Day 8 (Friday) - finally was able to pick up my car but did we receive a call that the car was ready yesterday, Thursday...? No...and had the nerve to say you can pay over the phone...wow very funny! not happening. We paid a total of $612 (SMH!) with a discount of $20...How generous...By the way as me and my family were leaving I decided to go by the car wash only to discover that the battery compartment was not placed back as found! So I had to return to Mavis/Savannah tire only to have the guy smudge the seats I'VE JUST CLEANED! This is the longest review ever...I'm just so very disappointed!

I had purchased a headlight for my car at a local auto parts store, and they would not assist in helping me install it. I spoke with David at Mavis, and he told me to come on in. Spencer was happy to help, and installed a somewhat complicated headlight in under 15 minutes! I will be back soon for my tire rotation and oil change!
