The test of any person or business is when things go wrong. My electrical request which I thought was simple turned out to be anything but simple. I ended up spending the day there thinking it was an easy job, done fast, as a result I met a fine bunch of folks. Charlie, the old man, his son Justyn, techs Bill, Freddie and Ryan. Debbie, Charlie s wife. By knowing their names you would think I knew these folks, nope. For being there all day, 8-4. They were fair with me $. Felt good about these folks. Having gone home I discovered a minor problem. Back the following day I went. They took care of the problem, no issues. Very happy with Lair s Auto Electric. I will certainly use them again.Service: Electrical

I called the day before to see if I could schedule a diagnostic on my car that appeared to be having an electrical issue. I explained that I only needed a diagnostic done and nothing further. I was told that would be fine, it starts at $100 and to come in the following morning. I dropped my 2014 Honda Civic off and in less than an hour later was told he found the issue. I asked what was it and was then told that he could not tell me. That he does not tell the customer what is wrong with the car. Puzzled since I clarified what service I required prior to dropping me car off not to mention the service I requested is a diagnostic, I called my husband which does general mechanical repairs and explained everything that transpired. The shop person told me to just pick up the car at no charge. Needless to say by the time I ubered back to the shop, the person working on my car told me he s be able to tell me everything going on with my vehicle. I paid the $100 and was duped! He didn t tell me anything! I hope this location finds prosperity so they can stop ripping people off .I will NEVER recommend this company again to anyone.Service: Electrical

This place is a ripoff. I can't believe all the positive reviews. They placed a computer on my vehicle that was not needed and "accidently"threw the old part away. Charged me for it anyway. I don't think electrical work is what they specialize in. When I got my car back, every dash light was on. They wouldn't even post my first review, so I'm trying to warn people again, STAY AWAY.Service: Electrical

My fianc� & I were on vacation in Tybee Island when our car broke down. We took it to Lair s hoping they could resolve the problem, since we had to drive all the way back to Ohio to get home. This is where we went wrong.When we got the vehicle back it had a charging system service light coming on and the engine was rattling. They intentionally put the wrong parts on and stuck us with an outrageous bill to try to take advantage of our situation. We paid $936 for just an alternator, battery, and labor to then get home and have to pay our local repair shop $1,286 to repair the damage done.Not to mention, they attempted to call us after we picked it up (I m only assuming they thought we would break down again, and have to come back to spend even MORE money.) We re just happy we were able to make it home safely, but simply put .DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!Services: Battery service, Battery

This company wasn t professional and held my car for 1 month. I wouldn t recommend anyone to this shop. I had a electrical issue and they failed to fix it.and told me that they can fix my truck and told me if he can t fix my truck then kn else can witch was threat to me so I wouldn t recommend this company to no oneService: ElectricalService: Electrical

This is a family business that makes you feel like family. They took such great care of me and my car, and unlike the many other places I have taken my car.. they were concerned with my safety. They found and fixed a problem no one else could, so quickly i couldn't believe it. the cherry on top was the extremely reasonable price! Outstanding service!

Went in for an oil change and left with a power window that wouldn't roll up. I was told I needed a new motor and regulator without ever opening my door panel to diagnose the issue. I was told I'd be called the next day with an estimate for the problem I didn't have prior to bringing my car in. That call never came and when I called them I was told I'd be called back later. I couldn't go through the weekend with my window down. I went to integrity auto on waters who I know highly recommend and was told the window just came off the track and was only charged for labor saving me hundreds of dollars. I will not be going back.

They did a great job at rebuilding a starter for an old 1951 Chevy. Had it back to us in 2 days and charged us a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back to see these guys. Very friendly staff.

Incredible work, had a couple of bushings that needed resized for larger hardware, despite being dropped off on a holiday weekend, they had the job done quickly. Everyone I encountered was very professional, and the price was unbeatable! Will certainly have my business in the future! Was referred here by another mechanic in Pooler, and after this quick job I can certainly see why they were so highly recommended. Thanks again for taking such good care of me!

Save your time. I took in my interstate battery that I bought from Lairs with a 5 year warranty and they wouldn't replace it. They gave me the full work around. It took them over a week to get back to me and they said the battery was fine. I had the battery tested at a more reputable company and it is no good.

Lairs is the only place that could install my battery today. I called numerous places in the area and Lairs said come right over. The man that helped was nice and we are very pleased with the service. The price was reasonable and actually lower than I thought it would be.

I had a 2001 Honda serviced by them in 2012. Turn around time was fairly quick of a week for rewiring and installing a new cpu in my car. Fast forward now last week I dropped off my mom's 2007 suzuki xl7 to get rewired and the brakes done. Needless to say I have yet to be disappointed. I will be returning with my 1988 chevy k1500 soon.

Attempted to schedule a appointment to have work done on my work truck. I was very off put by the type of attitude that was received just from calling in. The gentleman on the phone showed a lack of knowledge on their current schedule of up coming jobs. No professionalism shown.

My wife and Mother in Law are good friends with the folks at Lair s. Had the brakes changed on our 2002 4Runner. Even though I m a mechanic myself, nobody likes doing drum brakes. And Lair s is the only shop I trust to work on my vehicles.

This place towed my car from a situation, and while offloading they fully dropped my car, the worker that towed my car and said that he would be in touch with his boss to handle the situation this was 2 months ago and nothing has been settled at all.

Scheduled an oil change. When I went there, I waited about 15mins for them to tell me they didn't have room in their garage. Took my number we decided that the next day works for them and myself. They never called back.

They charge me $100 to look at my tail light and didn't fix it. Tell me after the fact the charge a fee for checking one tail light bulb lol never again
