Best auto repair shop in Savannah. Rob is a great guy and gives you great service. I've taken my BMW there twice. Great price and service both times.

Over the past 20 years, I have taken multiple vehicles to Rob for service. Rob and his crew have always worked diligently to find and resolve the issue. Sometimes it takes longer than I want, but that is what happens when problems need to be diagnosed. If it were easy, I would do it myself! I find that Robs work is exceptional and that he is one one of the best Porsche mechanics in the business. I will continue to take my cars to German Auto for the foreseeable future.

Dissapointing Experience.I recently had a disappointing experience with German Auto Service that compelled me to share my concerns. Initially, I received a quote for a transmission fluid flash in the range of $380-$400. However, upon completion of the service, I was informed that the actual cost had escalated to $500.The most disheartening part of this ordeal was the refusal of German Auto Service to honor the initially quoted price. When I raised my concerns about this significant price difference, the front desk staff exhibited a level of rudeness that was truly uncalled for. Their dismissive attitude escalated to the point of thinly veiled threats to charge me the inflated quote if I contested further. What is particularly disappointing is that a basic service like a transmission fluid flash should not be subject to such unexpected price hikes. It is evident that the front desk failed to do their due diligence in providing an accurate initial quote. This experience has left me questioning the integrity and professionalism of German Auto Service. I believe customers deserve transparency and fairness, qualities that were sorely lacking in this interaction. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note for others and prompts the establishment to reevaluate their pricing practices and customer service standards.

Cannot recommend.Always takes longer than they say. Always costs more than they say. Charge for work that doesn t need doing. Often require multiple visit to fix the same issue. Fit cheap non-OEM parts at OEM prices that fail regularly.

I have a 2002 Porsche 986 Boxster. Porsche of Hilton Head told me my seepage was coming from my IMS which was unlikely due to the previous owner having it replaced with an LN bearing. Upon taking it to Robs shop he noticed the spark plug tubes were the culprit causing the seepage. Replace it and I even noticed my car started up better than before and this was all done for a pretty reasonable price too! Definitely recommend and will be going back from now on for services.

Rob is the place to go if you need a BMW or Mercedes serviced in Savannah, Georgia. We have owned both, refuse to use the local dealerships because Critz BMW tried to rip us off, and tried a number of other independent shops in the area without success. A neighbor recommended Rob and we used him exclusively ever since.I am a shade tree mechanic who restored vintage Porsches and MGs before I became disabled. I can usually tell when a mechanic is trying to rip me off. I have used Rob for years, been through his shop, and seen the quality of his work. I can testify with absolute certitude that Rob is proficient, honest, cost effective, and a great value for the exemplary service he provides.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission repair, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Rob is the most honest and trustworthy mechanic in Savannah.I first went to Rob for a transmission malfunction message I was getting. He ran a diagnostic for free, found a minor issue that was causing the problem and fixed it at no charge. A few months later the trunk on my BMW stopped opening. Another shop charged us $130 to diagnose the issue and quoted $2000 for new mechanical arms. I called Rob and told him what they said the issue was. He immediately told us to bring it in to diagnose for free. He found the issue to be different than what the other BMW shop said and fixed the it for $600. Around the same time, we had a coolant leak. Again we checked around, Critz quoted an absurd amount of amount of money and Rob got it done with OEM parts for half the price. There is no one we trust more with our car. He uses OEM parts and guarantees his workServices: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission repair

Rob and his guys are fantastic. I brought my 740 over to their shop after having my car diagnosed and quoted with a 5-figure repair at the dealership. Rob saved me thousands of dollars by giving me an honest diagnosis. The car was repaired quickly and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend for BMW owners in the area!

Owner may at times seem rude due to what he has to deal with from customers and other issues associated with the business. I will be doing business with them for years to come. Very knowledgeable and worth the cost. I've brought my Mercedes e500 and my BMW z3 to them and have been satisfied with my results each time

Immediately when I walked in the door and spoke with Rob, I had a comfort that he had a complete understanding of all makes, models, years and special qualities of Mercedes. As I had an older V12 Mercedes, he still knew exactly what it took immediately to make the repairs. I would highly recommend the use of German Auto Service for any Mercedes owner looking for quality, honest workmanship.

Rob took care of my 535i. He was super easy to work with, and he took a lot of extra time to explain and show me everything. When I picked up the car (on time and at the price I was quoted) the engine bay looked perfect, and the repair was perfect. Going to a new mechanic is scary, but German Auto Service is a great place to go if you need repairs to your BMW.

Had great service from German Auto Service. Dealership wanted a crazy amount to fix the AC in my BMW. I replaced the condenser myself and needed the ac recharged. After they were done they found a tiny pinhole leak in a line. I had them go ahead and do the work because the dealer wanted to replace so much stuff. These guys pinpointed the exact part I needed and now my ac is so cold I can't even run it all the way down. Thanks so much for being honest and doing great work.

German Auto was possibly the worst experience I can imagine with a shop.I first brought in my car for a timing belt & water pump replacement - takes two weeks. There's a charge for a replacement of the intake boot, used - which wasn't approved by me.When I pick up the car the radiator fan & shroud are missing (!!) and there's a coolant leak. I bring the car back in to get the radiator fan and shroud put back in and to have the leak checked out. I call once a week for the first few weeks they have the car with no progress, then visit every day in person for almost two weeks.A total of six (!!!) weeks after bringing the car in after the "repair", I get a call that the car is ready to pick up and the leak is in the radiator. When I come in, the passenger door had been left unhinged during a tropical storm so there's a puddle in the passenger seat. Additionally they haven't put in the radiator fan and shroud! I come back later in the day once those two parts are put back in. An additional part is missing; they said they would order it but I haven't heard anything in over a week. I go ahead and take the car home. When I bring the car home, it's having issues idling/starting/running. Not totally out of character but definitely much worse than when I brought the car in. Upon further inspection, the air intake boot (**which they replaced with a used one at the first time of repair**) has two large holes in it.I truly can't imagine a worse experience. Took too long. Did a horrible job. Made several things worse than when I first brought the car in. Rude and unapologetic for the massive amount of time everything took (8-9 weeks in total). I don't doubt Rob's knowledge about the car, but the quality of work was shoddy and lack of character by doing a poor job in a ridiculous amount of time was alarming.

Very satisfied with work and service provided by German Auto Service. After spending hours completely rebuilding and upgrading the suspension on my Mercedes c230, the alignment done at another shop made the car a handful to drive. Rob took excellent care in getting the car properly aligned! It really makes a difference having someone who understands the handling characteristics drivers are looking for, even if it is a daily driver.

I love this shop. Rob, the owner, knows exactly what he is doing and takes pride in his work. (He is also a really cool and nice guy) He fixes only what needs to be fixed and does not try to up-sell you. The recommendations he makes come from his many years of experience. He is the only person I trust with my Mercedes and Porsches.

I have a Porsche 911 and I put a fixed wing on the rear. This caused an error code because the car thought something was wrong. Rob cleared the code and programed the car for a fixed wing and saved me a trip to the dealer. There is a very limited amount of people that work on Porsche in this area and these guys just earned my business. Highly recommend!

Just took the wife s MB CLS 500 in for service F. The work was done promptly and the car, now 13 years old, continues to perform admirably. Rob Parker has cared for this car for 9 years now and has always done excellent work for a most reasonable price.
