I went there to get my sparks plugs put in they put them in side way plus they didn't tighten them down my car wes stalling bad hardly wanted to crank and vibrate badly. When not in motion I went to another shop and they show me everything they tried to me off I promise I will never ever go to that shop again. I thought he was a honest guy ha he fooled me.when every anyone do ur car make sure u get ur old part and double check ur vehicle before u leave and always take picture.

They told me a rotation and balance was done on my car...yet it felt like the tire was coming off when I was driving. I called to explain what was going on and I was in traffic but on my way. Mind you I paid 120 and every time I called they were closing down everything 15 minutes early. If they knew my car wasn't operating good especially concerning my front tire the proper thing to do is say please bring it in ASAP. They didn't close until 6 would it have hurt to stay until 6 so I would be a satisfied customer

So, I had been coming to S &J automotive on and off for some years since I moved to the area because it was local. I usually get oil changes but at my last trip I decided, after being informed of a serpentine belt needed to be fixed, to do other auto repair services. I paid nearly $300 to get oil change and serpentine belt changed. Two to three weeks later my car begin squeaking. It was the serpentine belt that I just paid to get fix. The belt ended up coming a loose causing a domino effect of issues within my car that I never had. I called s&j about issue because I was stranded and was told well most people have AAA to get car towed to shop and we will look at it in the am the next day. I opened the hood to find the mechanics tools still attached to my car with the belt completely off. I was appalled! So I had another mechanic come help me out. With all that was going on that mechanic charged me $150 (to fix serpentine belt, readd Freon to a/c, antifreeze and a new water pump and radiator)insured I made it home safely. My car is now back to working order. Do yourself a favor do not come to this shop. Stay far far away.Service: Oil change

We were referred here by someone and never again. The owner tried to up charge us on parts and we already told him that we had work done and he said that he suggested that we get manufactured parts but we got them from a credible place and it was nothing wrong with that part. He told us that it would be over 1,000 dollars and the part we needed was 600. My husband called another more trustworthy place we had used for some car service before and they laughed and said yeah the part you need will be about 75 dollars and that s it and the labor at least 200 at most! ALSO THEY STOLE A ROLL OF QUARTERS FROM MY CAR!! We had them from a recent trip we had came from! I started to press charges from them stealing from my car but my husband said not to worry about it we won t be back. I would steer clear ! They are crooks obviously.Service: Auto maintenance

DO NOT USE THEM. They did a shabby job. Said they did repairs but car did not run know more than 3 miles. Had to tow it somewhere else only to find out that they did not do the repairs properly and they removed parts and did not put them back on.

If you don't know whayt wrong with your vehicle they don't know either. Worst place ever. Don't take your car here if you don't know what's wrong with it. Just sorry

These guys are terrible. I took my car there to fix something, and the guy told me a set of lies about the problem, then told me it would be a ridiculous amount of money to repair. He told me that I would need to order the parts or something, and overall just tried to dupe me. I have a friend who deals with cars, so I had him come over. He took one look and had it fixed immediately. He didn't need any extra parts.

We blew out a tire and AAA directed us and our tow driver to S & J. What a great experience! The owner, John, is a truly good person. He and his team put our minds at ease re: potential other damage and got us back on the road. If I was local to that area, he would be my go-to mechanic. Thank goodness for S & J!

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. "15 camaro. Called in he gave me a quote, when I get there he takes my car and 2 hours later I get a call saying he can't do it. I was confused because he initially told me something different. So when I get there I have a bill for my fluids. Confused as to why my fluids where touched if the problem wasn't fixed. I will never go back !!Service: Air conditioning

I highly recommend S&J Automotive. My experience here was a blessing. I came here for a second opinion about my car on why it was shaking when I put on brakes. The first company gave me a long list of things that were causing the problem and gave me a quote of over $4,000 and said I needed a new car. John, the owner of S&J, gave me a quote of 1 tenth of what the dealer quoted and my car is driving better now than it has for years. I am so grateful for S&J and their honesty, fairness, reasonableness and great customer service.

This place is great and the owner is very friendly and he holds a great conversation. He cares about getting your car fixed and back on the rode. He wouldn't let me pull off in my car to go home to get my wallet because he didn't want me to make car worse then What I was because of a bad antifreeze leak. LOL. those guys in that shop are good and if anything else happens to my 2013 rt dodge challenger I will be taking my car back there to get fixed again keep up the awesome work guys

They've worked on both of my cars and each time was a Great experience. honest and knowledgeable owner...the mechanics are efficient and quick ...reasonable and fair pricing. Highly recommend

Very unprofessional! Owner John, decided to leave my car sitting in his shop for a few days without fixing it, or contacting me to let me know he had no intentions on fixing it until I arrived a week later to check in on the car. John excuse was he didn t want to email my insurance company his estimate. He wanted the insurance company to physically come out and view his estimate because according to him he had things to do so, he didn t comply with the insurance and my car sat for days waiting on him, so the insurance company wouldn t move forward and cut him the check.The unprofessional owner John real issue was that he found out an family member of mine worked for an specific company, he asked for an discount from the family member in exchange for a cheaper cost to fix my car. That offer was denied! So, he choose to be funny and play around with my car and not comply with the insurance company. My car was never fixed! We got into an verbal dispute because of the issue and he called 911 to report false accusations stating I was trespassing, and tried to assault him.He is disgusting.. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO HIS SHOP! It s his way or the highway! My car will be fixed one way or another (by a professional) and he still don t get his discount! :)

I took my car to this shop because my engine light was on. The owner had it tested and stated it was due to misfiring and that I needed a tune up. He stated that there was a 90 day warranty. I agreed to have service done. The very next day my engine light came on again. Took it back. He was very rude, and when he finally had his mechanic to check, it tested the same thing, misfiring. He tested himself, same thing, misfiring. He refused to honor the warranty after charging me $432.00 for parts and labor. I took the car to Oriellys, they tested it, same thing, misfiring and testing showed I needed a tune up which they were suppose to do. He didn't honor the warranty and stated it has to be something else because we changed the plugs and flat out refused to honor the warranty.

Driving from FL to WI and suffered a failed front wheel bearing on Sunday afternoon. AAA had to van towed to S&J on Sunday night. John from S&J called me sharp at 8:00 AM on Monday to get the details. They had the problem diagnosed, the parts delivered & installed, and had us on the road again Monday afternoon. John kept me posted throughout the day while they were working so we could plan our departure. The cost was less than we expected. Can't say enough good about John and the folks at S&J..Service: Wheel alignment

TERRIBLE PLACE!! RUDE OWNER AND HES A LIAR!! He wouldn t give me proof of what he did to my vehicle because he did it for free solely due to the fact that he left early in Friday and no one worked on my truck until monday because the owner (John) did not tell his employees why it was there!! I received 0 phone calls. I had to contact them about my truck. Owner told gave me false info on what he did to my vehicle. When I dropped off the truck I told him the issue and he did nothing but replace bulbs that I told him kept blowing. I had to call the police just to get proof of the work he did for court. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Doesn t even deserve 1 star !

I had trouble with my hyundai sonata, and the owner was very thorough and honest. He will not just take your money, he will tell you exactly what needs to be done. He's also very reasonable!

My Daughter's vehicle needed an alternator installed and was completed right way without incident. The part is working fine and the noise & service light are gone.

My 2005 chevy Tahoe continued to overheat, i took my vehicle to S&J because of the close proximity of my residence, after they performed a diagnostic on my vehicle and the owner came into the customer waiting area visibly upset because the radiator exploded on him, he proceeded to tell me i had blown head gaskets, and one of my fans wasnt even working. Then was told $3500 for new engine. I definitely found that hard to believe so i took car to another repair shop, they replaced lower waterpump hose and removed air pockets in the lines, now im up and running for $110.00 please get second opinions it can keep u moving for a lot less

I went to this shop to have my air conditioner serviced. Dee was very helpful with understanding my initial concern. He quoted me a fair price and had my a.c. back working in no time. I was very please with the quality of service at S&J Automotive. I would highly recommend them.

S & J replaced my fuel pump a month ago. It was expensive, yet very necessary to keep my car going strong. I appreciate them being in the neighborhood. Though I hope not to have the occasion to visit them often, I may definitely be a repeat customer. I pray that they grow and continue in doing good works.

My first time getting my car repaired. John was so polite and he cares about his customers he is very reasonable. John is also a member of my church and I will use him again I don't mind traveling from Hampton to Riverdale.

AAA approved auto shop. He is a very nice man and worked on our 2002 Pt cruiser. He had it fixed within a few hours and has been running good ever since. Definitely a good place to go.

Anybody in the Atlanta or surrounding area I deff recommend! John and the crew was very supportive and helped me every step of the way with my Chevy Malibu !! They are very friendly and fair in price. They have worked on all my cars and if I brought in the part it was fairly inexpensive with same day service. I would recommend them to anyone (especially being a woman) who wants an honest mechanic with fair prices.

Absolutely LOVE the service and knowledge at S & J! Haven t driven my 9-3 in a minute so had some work done - Ms Theresa is on top of it and has a personality, guts and fire! Didn t know that the guy on the highway actually thew white paint from his cup on my friends car as he stood on the side of the highway. Omgish, we were in shock but Ms Theresa moves like a fire engine. There we were scrubbing paint off the side of the car - she had gathered soap, a sock and powerful water hose. Shelly her daughter joined us, just as shocked as we were as we had formed this instant Cool Girls Club and Mama Theresa was our SuperLady Leader.

My wife & I went to S & J for we were told was a need for an air compressor replacement. After S & J did their diagnostic check, we left there only having to pay for a hose replacement and our air conditioner has been working since!!!
