Horrible experience! Beware of Sammi's Service Center sleazebag tactic and shoddy repair work! Samantha Kelton has a towing service and preys on stranded travelers whose cars have broken down on the corridor near Hilton Head and Savannah. Our car broke down near Savannah on a Sunday. Her towing service was called and she talked us out of having it towed to the nearest dealership as we had planned. She assured us that they could take care of the repair and gave a price. Note: In all of the times we have had car problems, this was the first time a towing company had ever solicited us to do the repair. I should have said no, but against our better judgment we agreed to have her tow our car to her shop, where she said they would do the repair. The next day after a conversation with her mechanic Russell the cost of the repair doubled from the original quote to over $800 and after the repair was done they demanded cash or said they were charging and additional a 10% fee to use a credit card. (It is illegal to add a fee for using a credit card). Her mechanic Russell completely botched the repair and when we got home the entire repair had do be completely redone all over again since the repair was done so incompetently(causing the car to leak gas) and the part he replaced was defective. When I contacted the owner, Samantha Kelton, she immediately distanced herself and claimed the mechanic was a separate business(even though she had been the one originally offering to do the repair). She claimed she would have the mechanic Russell call me, but of course he never did. After that conversation, she and the mechanic are "not available" whenever I call during normal business hours. They didn't give us an invoice, which I explained we needed. Their refusal to provide an invoice makes me think they are not keeping normal business records. My subsequent attempts to get the invoice have been met with a complete runaround,with ridiculous excuses made by the assistant, Tiffany, who covers on the phone for them, excuses such as claiming they had moved, though unable to give me a street or mailing address. They have put me on hold and then disconnected the phone. They blew off responding to the complaint we filed with the Better Business Bureau. This is not how a legitimate company handles business. Our experience revealed the repairs were shoddy and their business practices are sleazy. Beware!

Had a need for towing service when my Subaru stalled on the side of I-95 about 2 miles from he SC state line. Called my insurance roadside assistance and they dispatched Sammis Towing.It took a bit longer than expected but it was Saturday night so it was understandable but not fun waiting on a tow on a desolate stretch of Interstate.The driver, Randy ,showed up and was very quick, professional and courteous and had the car ready to go in @ 15 minutes. Took me to the Subaru dealership in SC. Very quick and professional. Very satisfied. Thx

These guys are terrible. To get the car towed required them to swipe the curb and damage my car and rim. I had to meet them on Saturday to get car released and towed to dealer and they are closed so they scheduled a time for me to meet them at the tow yard and we had to sit and wait 45 minutes past the time and call them 5 times. The door said under new management which I found hard to believe that there was any management at all. When they finally arrived i pointed out the damage on the car and figured I would deal with them once I had the repairs made that caused my car to break down. I called them once I left the dealer and asked them for insurance info because they damaged my car and 4 of them showed up in 10 minutes to the dealership to argue with me insisting i hit the curb and caused the damage myself. I had 3 other people in my car when it broke down and a police officer to see i had not hit the curb. NEVER USE THESE GUYS. Rude Rude Rude and incompetent tow driver.

Pathetic. The owner is a liar and first told my insurance company "my vehicle wouldn't go into neutral" however she never showed up! Then she told the company that I cancelled. This company is a fraud and should be shut down. Anybody who needs a tow is better off purchasing their own tow truck and learning how to tow it themselves. To top it off they ignored ALL of my calls after canceling my tow after waiting 2 hours. Thanks Sammi! Hopefully all aspects of your life aren't as embarrassing as your business!

Very dissatisfied. If it were possible to give a ZERO stars I would. Took 60 minutes to respond. 5 persons including 3 children and a dog at risk by the either careles or inept actions of the technician. We were a mere 29 miles from the site of the 'service', and I use the term very loosely, when a noise from the tire alerted us to the fact that 2 out of 5 lugnuts had not been tightened properly. They were so loose as to be able to be spun BY HAND. When we contacted the business we were told that they would call us back shortly. 30 minutes later, having NOT received the promised callback, we called them back, only to be told that 'we should have just stopped into a tire shop off the exit we had used and had them tightened'. The fee that they charged for this so-called service was $75.00 for which the worker accepted cash payment without providing a receipt, yet they expected us to either complete or correct the sub-standard work ourselves or have someone other than them correct the issue. Speaking with either Missy or the person who claimed to be the manager was completely fruitless and insultingly frustrating. If you find yourself in need of a tow or other roadside assistance anywhere near Exit 87 to 90 on I95 in Georgia, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. In summation. Horrid response time, sub-standard to the point of being dangerous service, and Abhorrent customer service by the dispatch employees. USE ONLY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this deplorable situation.

Worst ever. Wish I could give zero stars. Towed the car, but didn't leave the key! Took all day to get them to acknowledge they dropped off the car at one shop, kept the key (so the shop couldn't move/work on the car!) and then dropped the key off at a different shop. They hung up on the repair shop, were argumentative with me, and never apologized or admitted the mistake. I am reporting them to USAA (where we have roadside assistance and towing) so they can be removed from the list of towing providers.

Its been 3 hours and they still haven't picked up my truck that was 6 minutes from their shop and move it 1.3 miles to the closest shop. Refuse to answer my calls when trying to get a status update and hung up on my wife as well. If I could give them 0, and i mean ZERO STARS!!!!! Worse than Comcast......Correction, 6 hours later I'm still waiting and they haven't showed up..... another tow truck company came out of their zone to get us. Out of their service zone to get us. They are allstars!!!

Buyer Beware, My daughter car broke down on the way to Savannah since she was alone and stranded on the hwy, she found Sammy's on her phone they towed her car to their shop. Sammy's persuaded and convienced my daughter we can fix your car she payed Sammy's approx 3 thou dollars she didnt know what else to do stranded on the road, I told her paying up front a bad sign, against intuituation we payed for the car to be repaired. This towing comany guaranteed my daughter , persuaded her knowing she was upset about her car,and convinced her they can fix this car until she fell for this under despiration. Sammy's kept the car almost 3 weeks stated its was ready to be picked up running great. Drove to Savannah to pick up car Sammy's refused to give a receipt for the work they claim they did. Leaving their shop with the car it would not run , opening the hood of car Sammy's had duck tape the car together hoses , clamps missing, were broken and duck taped. the car was a mess in pieces we had to have the car towed home. Many attempts were made calling trying to speak with Sammys on the phone as to what did they do to this car , every phone call we made was nothing but insanity of screaming, yelling and hanging the phone up. Not one person at this business was professional in any manor after taking your money that was it , sammys would not give a work order for what they did to the car. They acutally laughted like we got you and we took your money.This has been over 3 months i have had 4 mechanic look at the car, Sammys destoried this car it can not be repaired nor will the car run. Still fighting them for the money that was paid to Sammy's to destory my daughters car. My daughter still owes car payments on a car that was torn apart glued back and duck taped. This car is no longer driveable. I am hoping that people will read this and know beware . This has been a horrible nightmare, (Randall Davis I read your post and did some research you are absoulty correct they have a police record a mile long and sill on probation. how they are allowed to operated a business of stealing from people and destorying their car to where no one can repair the car is beyond me this place needs to be shut down.

We were highly impressed with the service from Sammi's Service Center! Our tow truck driver, Donald was very friendly and actually knew what he was doing. He was an excellent driver and very skilled at maneuvering the truck!We have used Davo Towing Service in the past and were not impressed at all! The young man that was sent out was very unprofessional and a pervert! He made me feel very uncomfortable traveling alone with him! He mentioned several times all of the drunk women he had picked up and had sex with in the back seat, offered to provide sexual favors, and proceeded to talk about the size of his "manhood" the entire trip! I have never been more embarrassed, and the employees of Coastal Chevrolet were not impressed with him either!

I'm not sure who you're thinking about because myself nor anyone I was with told you to shut up. YOU were rude and unprofessional to us for no apparent reason. Your response to me speaks volumes about your character though. Thank you very much!!This company is beyond bad. The employees are very unprofessional. They were rude & very late. We called to find out why they were two hours late & she had the audacity to tell us to find someone else to move our car. This is not someplace that I will ever think about using again. Don't use them!!!!

Best towing company around. I was kept up to date with every step involving my car being towed and getting it back running. Best customer service you can find in this field of services. Very satisfied with all of their services and rates. Haven't had this good of luck with Gordon's Towing and I also had bad experience with Davo Towing. I would only in the future refer SAMMI'S TOWING & SERVICE CENTER to anyone needing service with their vehicle.

I used them a couple months ago. Than about 2 months later my back notified me there was a charge from there company. Called the lady and she acted like she had no idea what happened. She said she would call me back and look into it. Unfortunately she purposely didn't answer my calls so I called her off a different number. One minute she tells me it was the 'card machine' than the next it was someone must have used my debit card. This company is a scam/ fraud and if you have ever used them I suggest you order a new card if you didn't pay cash. The woman who answers sounds like she is on some sort of drugs and seems to be incoherent when you try to talk to her. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! And I bet there will be a comment on this post saying we don't know what happened, blah blah call the office so we can resolve this

I can pretty much verify what the other people are saying on here. Last night my wife's car broke down in the parking lot at Berwick. I called Geico (i have roadside assistance) at 5:18pm. They notified me around 5:25pm that they had assigned Sammi's Towing and they should be there by 6:26pm. Well, at 6:30pm I called Sammi's towing and they said he was in traffic but should be there in 20-30 minutes. Around that same time, Geico contacted me to see if they had arrived and when I told them no..they called Sammi's. Sammi's told Geico it would be around 7:10pm. Well, at 7:30pm they were still not there so I called Sammi's. The lady said he would be there any minute that he hit traffic but should be any minute. They weren't there at 8:00pm so I called back to the office and she got tired of talking to me so she said "I'll just give you his number and you can call him directly". I tried that...twice...no answer. He finally called me back and said he was on Hwy 17 at Dean Forrest. He finally got to us around 8:20pm. I have waited a long time on a tow truck before...but never this long. Geico should read these reviews before the choose these companies.

We were stranded on I95 at dusk with no lights it was very dangerous, called Sammi and she had her flat bed she communicated the whole time with us on his eta. Donald got there and he was quick and efficient, he dropped us at our hotel and even left us his jumper cables so we could replace our alternator and get the car jumper the next day! She quoted me a price and it was the price she said! I highly recommend this compamy! Thanks Sammi and Donald!

They stole my car. I parked it in there parking lot they said it was ok they and then they said I cannot have it back... i was working there so drove the car there it was not towed... I am supposedly related to the owner and the guy running the shop is Russel Scruggs used to have Scruggs towing went to prison for stealing cars... imagine that

Horrible Customer Service !!! Driver smelled badly (alcohol) and when I reported to the manager (Samantha) The lady had an attitude and gave the driver my personal number and he cursed me out. Then I called Samantha back and she hung up in my face ! DO NOT do business with them period.

Driver Justin was not only on time but very professional and courteous. Statefarm assigned them for the tow and I was very satisfied with the service.

Horrible service. Eta was 12:00 and they never showed up. Called them lady answered the phone and could never get any kind of answer on when or where the tow truck was. Will never use them again much less recommend them to anyone. If I could give negative stars I would.

The company took 4 hours to get to a location that is not that hard to find, extremely poor service unorganized staff poorly managed they had drivers quit and instead of coming to the call at hand the drivers go an find out why they quit. Very disappointed in service.

URGENT READ THIS!! BEFORE YOU CALL THIS COMPANY.YOU NEED TO KNOW THE TRUE. THE ACTUAL OWNER OF THIS COMPANY IS RUSSELL L. SCRUGGS, THE NAME OF THIS COMPANY USED TO BE SCRUGGS TOWING AND SERVICE CENTER OUT OF SAVANNAH GA, POOLER GA, AND NEAR THIS AREA. THIS MAN HAS A MILE LONG POLICE RECORD OF FRAUD THEFT BY TAKEN, PETIT THEFT AND SIMPLE BATTERY CHARGES. HE PLEADED GUILTY TO THEFT AND SERVE JAIL TIME AND IS CURRENTLY IN PROBATION. HE HAS ALSO HAD SEVERAL PROBATION VIOLATIONS. FOR THIS REASON THEY PUT THE BUSSINES UNDER THE WIFE NAME SAMANTHA, AND KNOW THEY CALL THEMSELVES SAMMI'S SERVICE CENTER AND MOVE TO RICHMOND HILL GA. I WAS TOW BY THEM AND I ALSO LET THEM WORK ON MY CAR AND IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. STAY AWAY PEOPLE. I WILL RE POSTED THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN. THEY LEFT SAVANNAH AND I FOUND THEM.AGAIN LYING AND STEALING.
