I absolutely do not recommend. Being in the automotive industry for over 13 years and having heard of this business, I had faith Rincon transmission would be capable of diagnosing a 2019 f150 with a transmission issue. I was told they could get it in quick and after a week later they said they cleared the codes and it was magically fixed. I said that couldn t have possibly been it and requested they please try again. They test drove it and stated the transmission is overheating. Now, as frustrating as the time frame and initial answer was, it wasn t nearly as frustrating as them charging me double to redrive it . Which should have been done initially. No part of the service we were given justifies a $330 charge after I was quoted $120 (and it was still not worth that due to the misdiagnosis). If you were thinking about using Rincon Transmission, think again. If you want an honest and trust worthy shop, this is not the place.

Rincon Transmission is absolutely the best in the business. I have had 3 box truck transmissions replaced at their shop over the last 10 years. They are reputable and excellent to do business with.

Diagnosis and estimate done the day I dropped it off. The vehicle was ready shortly after the part arrived the next day. I've known this company and its people for a long time. You can count on honest dependable service from Brad, David, Al, and the rest at Rincon Transmission.

Just received my truck back today from a transmission rebuild, WOW just as you promised this ride is unrecognizable. I am in absolute amazement of the difference in my truck. It drives like a brand new car off the lot, no noise and completely smooth. Your business is A+ in my book, from quick diagnosis, to fair price, truly professional in every aspect of my dealings with you through this process. Very fast service. It's very unusual to have a good experience with an auto repair shop but I can't say enough good things about Rincon Transmission on Mall Boulevard. Without a doubt this was the best experience I ever had with an auto repair business. They were very honest ( which is rare in the auto repair business ) and bent over backwards and went the extra mile. I will not go anywhere else in the future.. They were GREAT!!! Highly recommended. They didn't have to do what they did but again , they bent over backwards. Color me VERY impressed. I've never written a review on an auto repair business but they deserve it.Service: Transmission

I can't say enough good things about my experience with the folks at Rincon Transmission. I had my vehicle dropped off with them for transmission issues. The immediately diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate, and began work. In less than a week I had my transmission rebuilt with a 36,000 mile warranty and one happy wife all to the great service at Rincon Transmission. If you ever find yourself in the need for transmission work this is definitely the place to go. Quality service, friendly, and fast. While driving home from vacation our transmission blew. We were so lucky to stumble upon Rincon Transmission. They moved mountains to get us a new transmission and back on the road home. Not only were we beyond satisfied with the work done on our van, their customer service was phenomenal!! We were coming through town on the way to a work conference in SC when my transmission blew! I stopped at 2 car dealerships shops and they couldn t get a new transmission until the end of the week (it was Monday) and they suggested Rincon transmission. Thank the good Lord they did. They were able to get a transmission the next day! They were kind, understanding and honest. Rincon transmission saved the trip and I couldn t be more grateful for them.Service: Transmission

Super Kudos to a Super Great Team!!!I would like to commend Rincon Transmission on an excellent job in replacing the transmission pertaining to my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. A friendly, pleasant, prompt, professional atmosphere that the receptionist Michelle provided to me was welcoming in every aspect as a customer and she also does an outstanding job in keeping customers updated pertaining to their vehicles. I would like to make mention that although I was from out of town (Hephzibah, adjacent to Augusta, Georgia) to be exact when my jeep transmission stop functioning while I was visiting Savannah, Georgia, Rincon Transmission treated me as if I were a family member in providing me with an all-around personal experience and not as an auto-bot generated number. I would like to also commend Pines, Dillon, Victor, and Paul who is the manager on an awesome job well performed. I also want to make mention that after I had already left the shop with my receipt as having paid in full another problem surfaced out of the blue on my jeep that did not have anything to do with the transmission and being unfamiliar with Savannah Georgia was the reason I immediately came back to Rincon Transmission to ask for help because I had to be back in Hephzibah, Georgia that evening. Rincon Transmission (Paul) did not hesitate to address my concern and immediately ordered and replaced my high-pressure hose that was causing my brake fluid to leak profusely on the ground. Paul did not charge me for the part nor labor costs and I really appreciate him and his team for going above and beyond the call of duty in helping me with that problem. I will recommend anyone (in person or on social media) who need transmission work performed to take their concerns to Rincon Transmission at 606 Mall Boulevard, Savannah, Georgia whether they are individuals or a business because they are highly professional, prompt, pay attention to detail, really care about their customers needs, expeditious in performing their job duties, and they do not throw in the red flag on vehicles although parts are scarce in America, especially; in the case of my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport which has sentimental value in finding a supplier through their nationwide contacts. Overall, Rincon Transmission is just an all-around wonderful group of people and team.Service: Transmission

I drove all the way to Rincon from Beaufort. I was very impressed with their customer service. I took my car there for a diagnostic test. When I arrive to pick my car up I spoke with David who immediately told me that he wasn't going to charge me a thing, and gave me the paperwork with the issues on it, and gave me advice on how to move going forward. Even at a time like this there's still good people out there that's willing to help. It may be small to others but to me this was truly a blessing.

Was having trouble finding a torque converter for a upgraded transmission ordered one online cost me $700 the day it was supposed to be delivered they called me up and told me it was backordered 2 months heard about Rankin transmission through another garage and stopped in Brad and his team immediately went to work finding me the Right torque converter for my application and he had it in stock!!! I haven't even told you the best part the torque converter only cost me 225 which was very much appreciated and did I mention they had it in stock!! Couldn't thank them enough would definitely recommend visiting this place for any of your drivetrain needs!

Called Rincon Transmission to discuss my issue with my SUV (149k miles) running rough with a gut-wrenching "clunk" upon accelerating. They said just drop it off and we'll take a look. Stopped by immediately and received a call a couple hours later stating one of the engine mounts is bad and needed replacing along with transmission fluid/filter replacement. Estimate was fair and the work was done before end of the day. They even came and picked me up from home since I live within a couple miles! Excellent service with friendly team! This place was fantastic. We could not find anyone who worked on RVs and when we found them they took us in and replaced the transmission for us. They were very professional and nice. Best of all they worked with our insurance.

I took my car to ribbon transmission to get diagnosed it was having some engine and transmission problems. I left my car with them the entire day. When I finally got contacted to come talk about the car all they did was run the code reader and didn't ever actually inspect my car. They told me my third Chandler was misfiring that was the code. They then chargers me 65$ and told me they don't want to do anything to it to take it somewhere else. So I did. Where withing two minutes of them actually looking at my vehicle they found the problem was I had a serious oil leak.. also my transmission was having problems and needed to be fixed. So thanks Rincon transmission for stealing my money and waiting my time.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Perfect experience here. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue on my vehicle, which is a fairly rare/obscure car and repairs were complete in less than 24 hours! Great customer service, and a great price. Can't go wrong here!

We were driving from Toronto down to Orlando and I felt a nasty vibration so I decided to stop for the night in Rincon, GA. Next morning, I took the car over to Rincon Trans and was greeted by David who took the car for a road test. After road testing, he brought the car inside and had a tech scan it...they saw no codes. They put the car up on the hoist and thoroughly checked the driveline. They didn't think it was transmission issue but rather that tires needed balancing. I met the owner as well while I was there. Very professional and well equipped shop with really capable techs.....and polite Southern manners to boot! I'm really impressed with this shop and recommend them. Thanks to Brad and Dave and crew.

Terrible experience. First i had to call three days in a row to get someone on the phone to tell me when they think my truck would be done. Then he finally awnsers on the third day to tell me i have no brakes. But when i took my truck up there it had brakes. Come to find out of them guys unhooked my break booster pump hose ig from when they was climbing on my truck. Then i get there and my truck is dead. Had to get jumped off just to get it home and eventually had to buy a new battery the next day bc they let it sit with a dead battery for so long that it would hold a charge even after i put it on a charger for 5 hours. An the prices are extremly high.Services: Transmission, Brakes, Battery

I want to thank Rincon Transmission for helping me with my transmission problem. They were friendly and courteous and went the extra mile to properly diagnose my problem. I couldnt be more satisfied with their service. I highly recommend them. I was out of town in my RV when my transmission problem began. The shop mgr took personal care of me and found out that my trouble was not in my transmission but in my Air Mass Sensor. My RV was sucking up water from the driving rain storm and water was getting into my air filter and sensor. They replaced the filter and sensor upon my request and down the road I went. No further problems. THANK YOU AGAIN for such a good experience.

First off I took a 2003 Chevy Suburban to Rincon about 4 years ago for a transmission rebuild and we couldn't be happier as it is still going strong and the service was quick and great.My 16yr old son saved up a long time and bought '73 Dodge Charger which we have been working on together for about a year now. All of the sudden, the transmission would not go into reverse or 1st gear. So like everything on this car my son and I tried our best to repair the transmission but slightly failed as we reversed a seal, and reversed a part on the valve body. We put it back together and we lost the ability for the transmission to automatically shift when in drive. So, instead of jacking the beast up again and rolling all over the garage floor we brought it to Rincon Transmission. We asked them to go ahead and rebuild the entire transmission to make sure it worked again for us. When it was done, we found that they went through the entire transmission and identified what we did wrong and identified some additional defective parts.When we went to pick up the car they took me and my son out to meet the owner whom tore down and rebuilt the transmission himself. He took 15 minutes out of his day to talk with us about transmissions, shift kits and what he found in the transmission repair we tried to accomplish. He showed us new parts and explained how the old parts failed. It was a real learning experience.When we returned home in Hilton Head we found that they went even more beyond what was expected as they updated the shift linkage parts to the transmission as well. These parts were hard to find and they did this all at no extra charge. To say the least we are completely overly satisfied with Rincon's work and service.Rincon went over and above, they are good folks and do great work and they have me for a customer for life.

Took my new to me 98 conversion van in for a checkup. They were prompt, communicative, and nice. Even send me pictures of the pan so that I could see the magnet and amount of shavings on it. Will take the van here for any of my transmission needs in the future

They fixed my transmission in literally a day. I dropped my car off yesterday, they called me this morning to pick it up. Friendly people, fair price, great service, what more can you ask for? Five stars in every area. Thanks guys!

Took My Mercedes to the local dealer They wanted to rebuild transmission for $4300+ car only had 23,000 miles! Took car to Rincon transmission they charged me $50 to reprogram the transmission. Car works great, shifts very smooth. Very nice people!

Drove all the way from Bluffton, Sc. Heard about Rincon Transmission on the radio. Great service! Had a horrible noise coming from my rear end differential. They properly diagnosed and repaired the rear end differential by replacing all the bearings. I must have been desensitized to all the noise it was making, because when I picked up my truck, it was like driving a brand new truck-Silence! Thank you to the crew at Rincon Transmission for taking extraordinary care of me and my truck! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is place is real deal! Honest, knowledge, and with a human touch. They found a recall I didn't know about and even drove my car to the dealership so I could get it fixed for free. Gave away business to help me save money. Super impressed!

Charged me $50 to diagnose my truck even though they found or fixed nothing. Apparently they don't even bother to use a real scan tool. I later found a vacuum line disconnected and two wires broken in the main loom with just a few minutes of looking.Later refused to give a price for recharging the AC because they "don't know how long it would take". Save your money for a business that at least tries to earn it.
