Lee has had my engine in for a rebuild for over a year. As of February 2023, the invoice was paid in full for the service/repairs to the engine. I have tried to reach him by email a multitude of times as well as by phone. His last response was June 14th, 2023 where he stated that the work was complete and he would have the engine shipped to me the following week. Yet my large frame Vespa remains sitting in my garage sans engine. So now we are approaching 6 months with no replies, no answers, no communication whatsoever. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau regarding the issue and he has not responded to them either. The way I see it, he has stolen over $800 in parts/repairs and my engine. This review is my last ditch effort to hopefully get some reply from Lee so that we can resolve this matter. The next step is small claims court...I would not recommend That Scooter Shop to anyone. I can understand delays in service and parts for the vintage scooters, but there should have been more effort in communication made regarding the status of the work. The customer service is subpar. If I had my engine, I may be able to comment on the quality of his work, but it's still sitting in his shop.

My Experience and option ...........That scooter shop had my Motor and scooter OVER 4 years !they NEVER Completed motor as promised NEVER finished assembly of scooter while in his shop. I PAID really good Money to have a modified motor built by Lee BUT he Ignored my phone calls ...my Texts ...my emails trying to find out updates ?So frustrated by NO Returned calls !! went to Atlanta and picked up my scooter UNFINISHED .......while looking over discovered Missing Parts....Parts Paid for Missing ..USED Parts and scooter has dents and scratches on New paint ?Would NOT Recommended That Scooter Shop !NOT Trustworthy .......

Lee rocks and his vintage Vespa knowledge is truly amazing. I had a engine built (malossi 221) by Lee and I could not be happier. He also upgraded my electrical system that brought a 1970 s super up to today s technology. I can actually ride at night and see something. Lee was honest and upfront about the prices and I did not have any surprises along the way. Pulling wheelies in first and second put the biggest grin on my face. Working with that scooter shop was a great experience. Thanks Lee!

Whether its work on my modern GT200 or tuning my vintage rat scooter That Scooter Shop always delivers the best service with an eye towards high performance. Lee is rock solid and personable. I've always enjoyed having work done at That Scooter Shop and I'd recommend it to anyone interested in any style of scooter.

Lee was awesome , I cant say enough good things about this shop. Professional, Courtesy, Honest, just over all outstanding! The engine is incredible! Will be my engine guy forever!

If you take your scooter anywhere else but here you are doing it SO wrong! Lee was the only one willing to take on my project of building a custom moped from a super old RX50 frame with a am6 racing motor. Not only did he accept the challenge but he made me feel as if HE wanted to see it accomplished more than I did! He even had prior knowledge with the racing motor since he used to race the exact same kind!! He is an honest, caring, and passionate guy who will work with you on anything. I am so glad I found his shop and won't go anywhere but here from now on!

The owner is very knowledgable and took extra time to explain what was wrong with my Honda Elite and even showed me how I can fix it myself in the future. It runs really great now and it's faster than it was before.

Lee is a stand up dude that knows his stuff. He diagnosed an ignition problem over the phone. Sent me a link for the $17 part that I ordered. Then I took it to him and he installed it while we hung out and chatted. He knows vespas old and new. I've been riding for over 10 years and could tell you horror stories about all the vespa shops around town. Don't waste your valuable time and hard earned money else where. That Scooter Shop is THE only shop as far as I'm concerned.

Was looking for a good, fair and friendly technician to work on my Burgman 650. Had tried a mobile motorcycle mechanic as well as a local shop. Lee at THAT SCOOTER SHOP knows these bikes, is well equipped to service them, is open regular hours, conveniently located and fairly priced. He also set up a chair in the shop and made me a fine cup of espresso while he serviced the bike. Made good small talk and got me on the road with engine and gear oil changed. Charged a fair price and far below what I had paid from the mobile mechanic - who often never showed when promised.Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

I was looking for a place to take my custom 2005 Yamaha Zuma to diagnose a problem I had been having with no luck from other shops, so I called them up and within 30 seconds of talking I knew I had the right place. The owner Is a racing legend and his passion for scooters shines through in his work. He stopped what he was doing when I got there and was able to hear the issue before I could even pull it in the shop! I have gotten a lot of performance work done since and has been nothing but a pleasure every time. His shop is filled with some of the coolest scooters out there and the whole experience from start to finish was fantastic, he is a true artist. If you ride and love scooters then this is the only place to go!

Had to make an emergency run to Fl and needed a tune up before the trip. Lee managed to squeeze me in and get the bike all checked up before I punished it in the heat. Great quick service. Will visit again if he'll have us.

Just a great experience! I needed a new tire installed on my Sprint 150 and Lee quoted me a fair price since the muffler has to be removed to get to the rear tire. I will be getting all of my Vespa service needs done here- and maybe a few performance upgrades.

Sometimes you meet a guy and you just know he is 100% legit - capable, honest and cool. If you have a vintage or Euro scoot that needs anything from a tune to a total rebuild this is the place - great regional resource we are lucky to have.

I'm really glad I was able to stop by. I had tires mounted for my Honda Elite and a new crank checked for true. The service was great and the price was more than fair. I look forward to coming back to That Scooter Shop for work in the future. It's great to have an enthusiast owned shop so near by.

I came here to get my 50cc peace sport scooter fixed due it not going its maximum speed. When I took it here the owner was able to detect that i needed a new air filter, replace my tires, needed a tube up and also he fixed my broken horn by rewiring some things. You would think this would cost and arm and a leg but it simply cost me 200 dollars and some change for all these things that would normally total on average 400-500 dollars at another scooter shop and he did this for half the price for me. Such an amazing owner, establishment and essentially the service as a whole. Never did i feel as though I was being taken advantage of as a customer under his care and for that I truly appreciate it. 10/10 recommend if you have a scooter in need or looking for a collectible scooter that he may be selling at the time!

If you have a scooter, this is the place to go!!! He is so knowledgeable and can fix anything. He can even build custom scooter racing engines and they sound better than a Harley. A must go-to shop for all your scooter needs; I must say, it s hard to find mechanics these days that really care and have a passion for their work. This is one unique shop that brings that scooter back to life.

Lee performed his usual magic on my 62VBB which needed some further modifications to enable an aftermarket front end with disc brake to operate properly.This required not just a storehouse of knowledge but a ready supply of parts nearby.Thinking out of the box, on the fly to remedy a variety of issues as they became present Lee displayed his best side generating results in a timely and valuable fashion while I stood by.My 12 hr round trip drive was worth it - now I can attend the MotoGiro next weekend with confidence!Thanks again Lee and Dave

Lee was prompt and professional in changing my tires on my Honda scooter. He said it would take an hour and it took exactly that. Thankful to have this shop nearby for service.

Great service. My Vespa 300 Sei Giorni needed the rear tire replaced because I caught a nail. Lee said it would take about 45 minutes to change it out. It went on the stand at 10:58 and came off at 11:43. Great job. Very reasonably priced. I m definitely coming back when my next service is due.

I called to get my Vespa repaired. Lee made arrangements to come pick it up from my apartment and tow it back to his shop. He diagnosed the problem right away and fixed the Vespa that same day. He delivered the scooter back and it's running great. Very reasonably priced and fast service.

My TaoTao50 had gotten knocked over by a neighbor in my parking deck and I couldn't figure out what the issue was with my moped after. The back of my moped was leaking gas bad. Customer service was fantastic, always answers the phone. He was able to fix my moped within the first 5 minutes I was there and even did some routine maintenance by filling up my tires and checking my oil. Highly, highly recommend!

All my sister-in-law wanted for Christmas was to get her scooter in working order. She had bought tires but needed someone who could get them on. Lee did everything he promised. He came and got the scooter, put on the tires, did a general tune up as well as completely rebuilt the front breaks.

If you have a scooter, this is the guy to take it to. He is very knowledgeable, honest, and fair. He had my scooter from almost inoperable to up and running better than ever in just a couple days and is very informative every step of the way. Highly recommended
