Excellent service and care was provided by Tom at Barber Auto. Our car started smoking on I-75 in our way to Florida. Tom helped us through every step with detailed information on the phone. It turned out to be a seized calliper just like my husband thought. Tom ordered them right away after talking to my husband on the phone before it was even towed over. He recommended a good and safe hotel, and got us back on the road the next day. He turned what could have been a nightmare into a okay situation. The staff was friendly and the lobby tidy and welcoming. I hope the owner reads this review and takes Tom out for a nice lunch! A 5 star rating!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Oil change

This is my second time using Barber Auto Repair and again I am satisfied with their work. They provide a thorough diagnostic of the problem with an honest assessment of their approach. I decided to replace my engine in an older vehicle and the work was done in a timely fashion. I will use them again because I appreciate how they conduct their business. I really feel like I can trust them with my vehicles.

They have great customer service. Ben made sure I was very knowledgeable of the things that was going on with my car. I recommend this auto shop. Everyone is very welcoming and caring. I felt like my car was in very good care. It was a blessing to find such a great auto shop.

This was my first time at Barber Auto..I picked my car up today after getting the throttle body replaced and I noticed that my a/c wasn t working..so on my break I called to just gain clarity to see if they found anything during the first diagnostic or could something could have been disconnected while other repairs were being made.. I was baffled at the RUDE & BRUTE behavior I was met when expressing this issue to BEN..no way was I trying to challenge their expertise.. I simply was trying to gain clarity on how should I proceed..his only response is pay ANOTHER $100 for them to do ANOTHER diagnostic to make sure they didn t make any mistakes (which he stated is not likely) which is confusing because I ve just paid $923 for service and included in that was $99 for a diagnostic test to see what was the issue with my car in the first place. I thought that was very nasty to say the least. But James and all the staff in the front were very pleasant to me throughout this experience and I am gracious of that. Besides my A/C not working.. my car is fine but Ben definitely was rude as hell and that right there was uncalled for.

I own a 2014 Nissan Max and I am so used to taking it to Nissan to have all the work done. I've been riding pass Barber Auto Repair for some time now. I had a bad case with Nissan and decided that I no longer wanted to do business with them. I needed and alignment done and stop in to speak with them. Ben at the front desk was kind enough to set the appointment and it's been history. Since, I have a steering replacement and set of new tires put on my car. The customer service is out of this world. Great group of guys to do business with. Thank you!Mr. Jeter9/7/2023 - As you can see on the above, I gave a good review for Barber Auto Repair. Today, I went to Barber Auto Repair to get a quote on replacing power steering reservoir, rack and pinion, return and supply lines/hoses for power steering fluid and performed power steering fluid flush. I've already had a diagnostic done by Nissan, but the guy at the front stated that they would not perform the work because they would need to do another diagnostic on it. Why would need to do another diagnostic, when I have the paperwork from Nissan and it's their brand. It's more money you are having the customer to spend when it's unnecessary. From the above, you can see that Barber Auto Repair already changed the power steering pump. I thought I had found the shop to service my vehicles, but I am now back on the search. It makes no sense when a customer is telling what they need and you're trying to sell them something they are not asking for.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Tire rotations, Wheel alignment, Auto tire replacement

So let me tell you about my experience when I say exceptional service I had an issue and Ben stepped in as a Father figure and sent me home in a Uber because the condition of the car was to bad to drive unlike most places they would have just sent me out the door I ve visited this location over 4-5 times every visit is amazing the staff the service the location itself is awesome I highly Recommend them to anyone I get every penny worth for my fr Durango no one else can ever touch my car period . This is an auto repair shop that I can trust. I originally brought my car here for a quote after leaving the service shop at the dealership and the price was significantly less, I was shocked! I've brought my car in for service here several times since then and will continue to do so. Customer service is amazing as well!

I called Barber Auto Repair to solve my 1985 Chevy c10 air conditioning issue. I was advised by the manager that they did not work on vehicles of this age but he had someone who was awesome and reputable whom he could refer me to. I gladly accepted the referral and let me tell, it was the best thing I ve done! Mr. R.B is the best ac person hands down and I would have never met him if it wasn t for this shop! Thank you guys so much! That really shows a company s integrity when they still assist a customer when they couldn t complete the service!Service: Air conditioning

I spent approximately $3165 dollars on car repairs with this garage. When I initially brought my car in they said that they could repair it but perhaps might have to replace my secondary air emissions pump after their repairs were completed which I had already replaced prior to taking my car to Barber Automotive. I was tied up for almost a month taking my vehicle back and forth but after 2 attempts they still couldn't fix my check engine light and their "new management " employee told me that they could no longer help me, had washed their hands of my car, and that there was nothing more they could do for me. Before I orginally decided to have them repair it Ben assured me that they stand behind their work and have a 12 month 12 thousand mile warranty on all repairs and parts they installed. I should have realized that there might be an issue when Ben the manager demanded half the job to be paid up front. I took them $1500.00 in cash up front for "parts" and told him that I had used their shop several times in the past, didn't have a reputation of not paying my bills, and my family had been in the Morrow/Clayton county area since 1967. A warranty is only as good as the business owner behind it. I not only feel completely taken advantage of but abandoned after the fact as well. They were paid well for the repairs promised but obliviously developed amnesia as too the warranty they promised initially to obtain my business.After taking my car to another shop for review, they said that Barber Automotive should have replaced the front pre-catalytic converters and not just the main one underneath the car. I'm at a complete loss and just hope that other customers are not treated and dismissed as I was! Caveat Emptor, let the buyer beware! These are words to live by when dealing with this shop and their fake warranty.

Barber Auyo repair is a great place to have your vehicle serviced. The manager Ben keeps you informed on what a going on what they find before performing many work. This auto came highly recommend from another service center Bellemy Cheverolet. I recommend doing business here. I heard awesome things about this place, but I was more than a little disappointed. The air went out on my vehicle, and I drove straight there after taking my kids to school and arrived at 8:20. I was berated for not coming right when they opened at 8 and for not calling first. They had no idea I was coming, so I was also scolded for not making an appointment. It's difficult to schedule when something will break down in your car. I was told they couldn't even look at my car for a week and that it would take them at least 2 days to even look at my car once they took it. I understand they are behind and giving customers bad news isn't an easy thing to do, but a little kindness and professionalism goes a long way. I was spoken to like an inconvenience and reprimanded and belittled like a child, not like a paying customer. I will not be returning, which based on their attitude towards me, I'm sure they are thrilled about that. Take your money to a more courteous business. Trust me, this place isn't it.

It may have been a bit pricey but maybe not. The place was immaculately clean. It was very welcoming and Professional. I was restoring an 1998 Mercedes sl500 and the air conditioning lines were shot. I brought in the old ones and they made new ones for it. I put them on and my old car now has air. I have no complaints

I bought me a used 2007 Pontiac G6 GT. Unfortunately, I had some major issues with it, allowing every mechanic to work on it. I called Ben , told him the problems I thought I was having. He diagnosed the car, they fixed it. I was so excited, my car is a keeper. Barber and Ben did not to me if. They can repair ask my vehicles,. This shop was recommended to us by a dealership we had an issue with a ford explorer we took it to different shops they couldn t find the issue until we took it to barbershop they find the issue almost the same day it was the turbo and the caliber converter as a business owner communication is one of the main reasons I think this guy s are the best plus they are very professional on what they do hard to find a mechanic shop now a days that knows what they are doing.Services: Auto exhaust system replacement, Auto maintenance

Barber Auto is a legit, trustworthy mechanic shop that not only gets the job done right, but they are honest when telling you the things you are going to need. They are probably the only ones around that aren t going to tell you that you need to get your rear view windows replaced, when you just when in there to get your oil-changed lol. The General manager Ben Loshaw does an absolutely amazing job as well keeping the place running along with his Team of outstanding mechanics way to go guys!!!! Also big shout out to One of their workers Aviyah Clawson. He is an absolute stand up guy who does his best to make sure the job gets done and doesn t stop until it s done but most of all Done right. We came in there today needing a couple of A/C lines made up and a compressor head due to fitting was stripped. Tyler was very helpful, polite, and ended all my problems right there. A one stop shop for any A/C parts you might need. The parts I needed were for a 96 Volvo truck and are almost impossible to get at the dealer. Thanks Tyler for your knowledge, expertice, and politeness. You sure saved the day. You guys are the best!Service: Air conditioning

took our truck in for some warranty work they told me it would be 2-3 days at the most . now were being told it wont be ready for another week . they just ruined our holiday . my wife talked to the warranty company and they said Tyler or some one else just put the claim in 30 minutes ago after they had it 4 days . I called them the day before myself and they said they have not heard anything from the shop . how do you take your car to a shop to get one thing fixed and all of a sudden something else is broke now ? sounds like incompetent mechanics . I never told them I went to school for auto mechanics . but they think people are DUMB well I'm not I've worked on cars my whole life with my dad before I went to school and I know you can damage something else trying to fix some thing any mechanic can attest to that . why couldn't they admit they messed up a fix what they broke . they couldn't they wanted to file another claim so they could add on too the $1030 bucks they're charging the warranty company . now they want us to get a rental car after we just paid our car note . the should be offering a loaner car but there not they want us to pay for the rental then wait to get reimbursed 2 more weeks . I have learned that you cant trust the good reviews on here . because I will have to catch uber to work because of there bad service . I hope they enjoy there holiday riding to see there family's because me and my wife will be sitting in the house because of them telling us it will be 2-3 day . and its our 1st memorial day in Georgia . guess this is southern hospitality from barber auto repair .

I've had a few auto repairs done at Barber. I have noticed a decline in their integrity. Most recently, a sharp increase in labor and repair issues not resolved properly, and then to come home to find a part missing! Yes, i called immediately, spoke with and asked for them to let me know ... yet still, no return call. Small, but its in the details here folks!

My first time to use this shop and my experience was terrific! I did not have an appointment and needed some quick repair to the A/C in our 24 passenger bus. Tyler went out of his way to get the bus in shape for a long hot trip! Price was very reasonable! Terrific shop that I will continue to use!

After reading some of the prior reviews I felt it necessary to leave my own review. I have been using Barber auto air for the past 11 years I have never had a bad experience at this automotive shop. While I personally don't know Wes, I have been dealing with him having my car is repaired. During this time of dealing with him and the automobile repair service I have learned that he is honest, and has done his best to help me each time I have called him. I think it's sad but a few people, have left bad reviews when it seems to me, that the problems they had were a result of their own lack of knowledge and patience Over the years I have sent many of my employees to this shop to have their cars repaired, all of the employees have given me positive feedback, and thanked me for sending to this shop. I would highy recommend this shop.
