Tonight I experienced car issues during a 5 hour commute home from working in Savannah, GA and it happened right at Auto Air's exit. I was desperately hoping for a car repair shop to be open after Google said so many were closed. As we passed by we saw their light on and as we pulled up they let us know that although they were closed, they would help us out! They lifted my car, explained what was wrong, quickly repaired it so I was able to safely make the rest of my commute home. They even explained how to prevent it from happening again in the future. Highly highly highly recommend these kind and compassionate people at Auto Air. They even explained while we waited that this was a generational owned business that had been operating since the 70s. I was so blessed to have stumbled onto their property tonight

Had air conditioning hose made here. If you mark hose before making hose, it will come out correctly. If you don't know what you're doing or you are a novice, the hose won't lay correctly. I paid $240 ....$240!!!frigging hose should have been perfect for that price. It wasn't. Hose should have layed flat like pic. Instead, it was sticking straight up.i installed loop clamps to lay it down, but with the position being incorrect, it'll probably start leaking.I won't be back.And there's a big fat boy that works in the bay with a real bad attitude. Somebody gone hurt him. I kept my cool, but he git a big mouth. Stop being so ruse fat boy with big mouth. 1 star

Make sure you get pricing before leaving your vehicle. Customer service was excellent but I paid $137 service fee. This is what I would paid at the Benz dealership for labor.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Don't take your car there, you will regret it. Paid a lot to get my AC fixed it worked for a min then stop. The car has been to them twice and still. I have never been to a place with so many excuses. You lose money running back and forth. Once they got your money, they take their sweet time. I have not idea what there reply will be but I will see. Get your car fixed by a professional. Just look at the reviews, enough said.

I am very satisfied with this company. Ms. Liz and her whole staff are so professional. From the beginning they stayed honest with the work they'll be providing. They were in constant contact with me the full time my vehicle was at the facility. I took my car to the dealership and they told me i had a leak on the pressure line. So I came here to get a 2nd option. I was told every component of the hvac system needed to be replaced, the compressor, the condenser, the low/high pressure lines, the orfice tube, the line dryer, basically the entire system. I do residential and commercial hvac for a living, I feel they never did a real system check to see where the leak was and correct that part only. I have never went to a house with a leak and recommended a full system. Of course by the time all those parts are replaced by this place the AC system definitely should be working but $4500 that's more that a house system.Service: Auto A/C recharge

Took my truck to them for repair. I happily paid them, only to find that there would be repeated visits, because they failed to repair it. Further, additional miles were put on my truck while it was in their care. I did not have transmission issues when I took it to them, but had a slipping transmission when I picked it up - the second time. Another mechanic I used afterwards told me it looked as though some recent work had been done in the transmission area, and likely, they used my good transmission to make another customer s repair, and avoid the expense of buying one.When you speak to anyone there, you feel very special because they are so darned nice! You would think anyone that nice would do quality work. This experience has taught me a valuable lesson. Their nice, professional appearance was only a lure, because they do not have quality mechanics/technicians, do not stand by their work, will not reimburse you, and are completely lacking in ethics and integrity. It was not worth my time to take them to court, but I will never use them again, nor will I refer anyone to them. I pray that my review will help someone else to not be suckered in by their decptive, con-man/con-woman (they have a couple of female employees also) tactics.I wonder how often they just take $300-$400 from people. Just know that you ve been warned. If you use them, it will be at your own risk.

Wow. This place is horrible at service. They initially told me my car would take 2 weeks to work on. I said cool. Sure they started on it and diagnosed it... that was almost 6 months ago.. they've had the parts for about 5 months so there is no reason. So I've been waiting for almost 6 months and every time I ask about they just keep lying or giving me more time... I've never experienced anything like this and it's absolutely ridiculous..

We had used this place for years. Quick turn around, reasonable prices, never seemed to suggest unnecessary repairs or parts replacement. Suddenly 2-3 years ago all of the above turned 180 degrees. All of the sudden each vehicle we brought had a suggested repair involving the complete system most of which we knew it did not need. After several issues like this and one unit in particular we spent thousands of dollars on never working correctly we decided to pull a truck out after another overkill diagnosis. They demanded being paid several hundred dollars for diagnosis time before releasing the truck back to us. Several years have gone by and we now have a truck that has a "ghost in the machine". It's odd, we can run power to the compressor for diagnostic purposes and the A/C blows ice cold. We brought it to a computer tech who said the body control module needs to be replaced but that the actual a/c system was good. Before deciding to spend several thousand on a new body controller we decided to bring it here for a second opinion. Several days later they told us that the entire a/c system needed to be replaced which was actually a higher cost than a new body controller. They claimed the compressor (which was recently replaced) and every line was leaking and also needed replacement. Really? If the compressor is bad and all the lines are leaking how in the hell does it blow ice cold when running direct power to the compressor???They got their second chance and blew it.their level of service and ethics dropped so suddenly I wonder if ownership or management changed.

Excellent service. Worked late long into the night to finish the job because I was leaving on vacation. Freezing Ice cold air in a Countach which is all glass and the windows only roll down a few inches. I was cold in August on the lowest setting. Love it.

do NOT bring your car HERE!!! These people do NOT stand behind their own work! I never lost more $2000 faster. I brought a ford caravan 2009 for a A/C repair. I paid at pick up and drove it for a few days. Long story short, I brought it back the 1st time because it was their fault with the initial repair. When I brought it back the 2nd time, they told me there was a new problem with the A/C. But I thought that I paid $100 up front for the diagnostic test so that we wouldnt have surprises like this?!?!?! Each time they kept my car for 5-10 days. I came several times during each repair to inquire about the status of the repair because it was my only mode of transportation to work. After stopping by for the 3rd time to inquire about the 2nd repair, I realized the game they were playing. I took my car to another mechanic to cut my losses. A/C worked again in 3 days after drop-off.

My grandmother brought her vehicle here, was charged over 2k the vehicle still doesn't have working a/c. Now it over heats and they broke the dash. The repair was to take 2 days they had the car almost 2 weeks. They took advantage of an elderly woman. Never do business with them.This is an update my cousin got a new vehicle the car mentioned above was inspected by 2 mechanics and none of the parts they charged my grandmother for were replaced . This company responded to by BBB report that they had no record of our repair but we have the receipts and bank statements. Total thieves .

Took my car in to have the AC checked .because it was not working at all. I had recently replaced the compressor and blower motor, along with a few other components. I was asked to leave the car with them, and it would be $65 to diagnose the problem. Received a call an hour later saying that it was an electrical issue and the fee to diagnose would be $91. I agreed with the price change, but when I called a few hours later to get an update, I was told someone would call me back in 15 minutes. When the technician called me back, he attempted to sell me on an entire new system, to the tune of $3500!!!! After I told him that I had already replaced some of the major parts of the AC system, he actually suggested that I take those parts back, and go with parts from them. This made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!!! I was referred to Auto Air South by a lifelong friend, and I don't normally give long drawn out reviews, but I feel like my intelligence was insulted by the technician. While my initial thought was that I had found a new repair shop for my 6 vehicles, after what they tried to pull, I'll NEVER do business, or refer ANYONE to this business.

the worst place to take your car i left my car there for two months and they did nothing to it. i took it to someone else and they fixed it in literally 3 days. This place is extremely slow they're not honest about wait time. They will take your car and keep it for months and give you no update unless you call. Auto Air South installed a remanufactured AC compressor instead of a new part. They installed said part incorrectly, leading to failure within days. I have the following complaints against Auto Air South regarding the car AC repair they performed on my vehicle (I paid $1332.98): -- A remanufactured air conditioning (AC) compressor (at most 78% new) was installed instead of the new part that was agreed upon. -- The part was sourced from Autozone. I was told the part would be sourced from Global Parts Distributors (GPD) in Macon, GA. -- The remanufactured AC compressor pulley started to "seize up" within days of installation, requiring the AC compressor to be replaced. -- Auto Air South (AAS) stated that the repair could not be completed as contracted or redone because they were unable to locate a new AC compressor. AAS offered to redo the repair with a remanufactured AC compressor. AAS did not agree to a refund of parts and labor. I have since had the vehicle inspected by another mechanic and a new AC compressor installed. In the course of this, the mechanic noticed that Auto Air South had made the following errors when repairing the vehicle AC system: -- No oil in the remanufactured AC compressor that was installed by AAS. (It is possible that this is the reason why the installed AC compressor pulley seized up within days of installation, causing the AC system to fail.) --O-ring on drier not installed properly, causing Freon (refrigerant) to leak. Only 0.72 lb of Freon left in an AC system that requires 2 lb of Freon according to the manufacturer. --Improper installation of expansion valve, resulting in leak of condensation water into passenger-side interior, damaging the floor

Got a quote of $3900 for my c10 build. Total rip off....got the work done for $700 at an honest establishment. Never going there again.

These people are a bunch of crooks take my word for it . I was quoted 3900 to fix my ac and took it down the road and got it fixed for 6 would of been cheaper if auto air south didn't mess my service port up so the freon leaked out
