Just had to take the time to post a review of the best shop you will ever come across. The shop owner Charlie Shatzen is quite well known, not only in Atlanta, but in many other parts of the country and for good reason. There is a reason his shop has been around for over 30 years. You can see for yourself all of the excellent reviews, well, I'm here to tell you they are all true. He has a group of excellent folks working with him including Sheldon, Grant and other top notch people who are always there to answer your questions and provide honest and very knowledgeable advice on whatever it is you need or want to know about your vehicle. Never once did they try to tell me I needed anything other than what was necessary and always let me know in advance of the costs and options involved. The work performed for me was a complete build from the ground up of my RX7 FD, including a complete swap in of an LS3 crate engine, wiring, full suspension, exhaust, cooling system, rear end and differential, addition of wipers, horn, new interior panels, tuning and too many other things to list here. They went above and beyond what I was expecting. The communication was excellent as well, Charlie always let me know what was coming up next for the duration of the entire build. Also, for you rotary enthusiasts, he is an expert on those platforms as well. I saw four different FD'S there with various configurations that he was working on when I was visiting.Bottom line, I will be utilizing the services they offer for as long as I'm still driving. I feel like I have made a friend for life that I can really trust during this experience. That has never been the case in my previous experiences with auto shops.Thank you to Charlie and everyone at Mazcare for this great experience!

I was referred to Mazcare by the Marietta dealership after being told that they do not service cars older than 10 years old. Upon calling around to the other metro Atlanta dealerships, I could not find one that could look at my car sooner than 1-2 months out.Mazcare was able to look at my car within a week and not only fixed the pressing issue, but also identified a few other issues that needed to be taken care of. All of the work was completed the same day.Sheldon was very communicative with me throughout the process and even checked in with me a week after I picked up my car to ensure everything was still operating well.I cannot recommend Mazcare enough and will certainly be returning for any future work on my car.

I Would highly recommend this auto shop! very professional, very helpful.Mazcare is upfront immediately about the price of work done of the car and detailed why. They explained the process and gave a reasonable time-line. I have already recommended this shop to other mazda owners.

Brought my 2011 MX-5 to MAZCARE for automatic transmission issues and to have a checkup on the total car. great communication with everything they did to make sure I understood the issue and what it would cost and how vital the repair was. Very happy with the work they did and the service professionalism they demonstrated. Will be a repeat customer with them for as long as I have a MAZDA.

Great shop! Charlie is honest and his team are always helpful with my oddball requests. Fair pricing and work is done right. Only downside really is that they can get busy sometimes. The is probably the best mechanic in Georgia if you have a Mazda.

Took my 2001 Miata here after the dealer stated they wouldn t work on it, and recommended them to me.Diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts, installed them all with a 2 day turnaround. If you want a job done right and don t want the hassle of dealing with it yourself, highly recommended. Not the cheapest labor, but definitely nowhere close to dealership pricing. Best price to quality ratio I ve experienced!Service: Steering & suspension repair

These guys are great. I live in Canada and picked up a low mile (40k mile) '06 Mazda 3 back in Fall of 2021. My mechanic noted the car needed the entire cooling system replaced. This included the water pump, thermostat, temperature regulator, required coolant flush, etc. He said I could probably make it to and from Atlanta for the holidays, but advised getting it repaired when I came back. I took the risk, had heard of Mazcare from back when I lived in Atlanta, and decided to bring it in over the holiday.Charlie picked up the phone on January 2nd (already a surprise), and set up an appointment for the first day the shop was open in 2022. He noted they don't often need to replace water pumps on that era of 3 but said they'd take a look. Turns out the car only needed a thermostat, and even that was simply because I got a check engine light that was tied to it every couple of weeks. Dylan even did his best to talk me down from replacing the then-working thermostat, but their rate very fair so I'd rather replace it there than be over-sold in Canada a few months later. They also noted that the coolant in the car wasn't OEM/Mazda, and would be a good idea to replace anyways (coolant has to be drained to replace a thermostat). The next day I drove the car back 900+ miles to Canada and it's been running great since. This includes some 14 F mornings in Ohio and a -3 F cold start in Toronto. The little 3 has at operating temperature within a few minutes of driving no matter what.Charlie/Sheldon/Dylan even thought to replace the oil change sticker with one in Kilometres (it is a Canadian car after all). Couldn't help but laugh when I saw that.Greatly appreciate these guys - they're my new shop whenever I find myself in Atlanta again. Honest, great service.

These guys did a partial restoration of my 1985 RX7 and I could not be happier. They went out of their way to keep me posted, always asked for permission for any work, and gave my car the TLC that only another Mazda owner would. Everybody I talked to about old RX7's said to go to MazCare because they do great work and are honest. That has been my experience. Recommend them highly.Services: Transmission, Transmission repair, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I had a great experience at Mazcare recently. I called them up regarding an issue with my older 2010 Mazda. They were able to rearrange their busy schedule to fit me in that same week. When I arrived, they were able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue at a very reasonable price. I enjoyed speaking with Dillon and the rest of the team. It was clear from our conversations that they are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about Mazdas. I will definitely return, and I highly recommend this establishment.

I came in two months ago to change my abs compressor and fan. When I tell you that my car is driving like I just drove it off the dealership lot. This shop is honest, why go anywhere else. They truly care about their clients.

When I bought a used Mazda 3, I was a bit nervous about the repairs the car needed. However, after the service, I left with a lot of confidence and assurance that my car had received the best care. There was a small delay in the delivery because of some unexpected mechanical issues but they kept the car with them for the weekend because they were not satisfied with the service instead of doing a shoddy patch fix. The level of commitment these guys show is a clear win for me as a customer. I highly recommend visiting them if you have a Mazda.

CommunicativeFastFriendlyAt another establishment, I was quoted a ridiculous amount to fix my AC. Mazcare did it for more than 68% less. They also alerted me of what things to keep an eye on for maintenance which was very helpful. It was already on my mind! When I inquired about oil changes, I was surprised to find it's cheaper than my local quick lube. Considering Mazcare are Mazda experts, they've won a new long term customer. Thanks!

These guys absolutely came to our rescue! On my way back to No GA from a gulf beach trip my Mazda CX 5 developed an intermittent miss along with some unusual warning codes. Since I was going right by the Marietta Mazda dealer I stopped in only to be told that they don't work on Mazdas with over 150,000 miles any longer. They did, however, refer me to MazCare just down Cobb Prkwy from them. I was not hopeful since it was almost 4pm when I rolled in. Charlie jumped right in and diagnosed a bad coil pack on cylinder #2 and recommended changing the spark plugs also. They had a spare coil pack that they had salvaged from another repair job to use...NO CHARGE! Four plugs and a used coil pack later and we were back on our way home. Now I know where to take my Mazda for future service needs thanks to Charlie and Sheldon at MazCare. Thanks guys!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Absolutely class A+ shop and services. My son's RX-8 was diagnosed by my local (Mazda) factory shop and we were told that engine was basically done (low compression). I reached out to the guys at Mazcare in Atlanta/Marietta for a second opinion. I had to tow the car from Brimingham, AL to Atlanta, GA, but it was totally worth it! Sheldon and Dillon spend a few days on diagnostics, but they got the car repaired (ground wire and throttle regulator) and up and running. Turns out compression was actually good...go figure. These guys have real skills and know what they are doing! Couldn't give higher recommendations! Thanks so much guys!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

These guys are awesome. They put a new clutch in and changed the transmission fluid on my 2016 Miata and it drives so much better. It s worth the drive across town to have them work on my car.

My daugter's service engine light came on just a few months after a less than great experience at the local dealer. I set her up with Mazcare and I am so glad I did! They immediately told her the service engine light should not have been on so soon and there was no oil change due. Then as a courtesy they checked her tires and inspected her car! So refreshing! We will be back!

Sheldon and Charlie are the absolute best! I needed an engine replacement on my mazda 3 due to rod knock. No shop in my area was able to fit me in for at least a month but I heard about these guys from a coworker. Not only did they get me a beautiful, working engine with low milage, but they were able replace the clutch and get it back to me the same week. I even saved a couple thousand dollars compared to the dealership s quote for the engine alone!! These guys are BEASTS!

Had a unique issue with my 06 mx5. I blew it up at a track event and needed a motor. Everyone kept telling me to do a 2.5 swap. A new 2.0l motor for the mx5 is about $1400...the 2.5 is only $300...no brainer right? So I started looking and asking around and no-one was willing to do it for me. I've heard it's pretty straight forward (the 2.0 and 2.5 share nearly all of the same parts and is a direct fit into the mx-5) I know a lot of people do them, but I was having a hard time finding someone local.. until I called Mazcare. Charlie more less said "Oh hell yeah" let's do it. I sourced an engine and had it shipped right to the shop, Charlie and his guys went to work on it. I am SO pleased, with both the car! The amount of professionalism, care and attention to detail is next level amazing! I would not hesitate to take a vehicle to these guys. I run my car hard, usually 5 track days a year if not more. If I blow my engine up again, I know where I am taking it!!

Things seemed fine when nearing completion of my rx7 , it was discovered the new engine built for me had 1 too many springs in it and was almost ruined a couple hundred miles into tuning. As the owner, Charlie, admitted to me he had no choice but to take responsibility because "I hadn't even had a chance to take possession of the car before the problem was obvious." At this point my car became his lowest priority. I then had to wait another year and a half as he griped and wined about having to rebuild my motor. I understood they had to pay bills and checked in once every 2 or 3 months by sending a text and waiting sometimes days for a response. Never hassled, never complained, and was even told repeatedly I was a great and patient customer. But once recognizing multiple occasions where absolutely poor planning and failure to get the car to other companies involved in the build when agreed and then time just dragging out for the most mundane tasks, I started trying to show a little urgency. When it was supposedly down to tuning and it would go weeks before another session was done and then it would be one more to finish, and that just never came, dec of the 2nd year past the original end date hit I started making it clear I would be there around Christmas. And as Christmas got closer I made it clear I needed my car running and drivable no matter what. I hoped this would get the point across but arrived newyears and it was not only not done but I was treated like it was a complete surprise my patience had ran out. Also from day 1 I'd asked him to let me know when costs came to 10k only to get a call I needed to settle my balance in the next day or two and being told it was several thousand over the 10. So now I've been abundantly clear I need to know when I'm nearing 10k and I'd even sent an extra five just a month or two earlier so to my suprised it was over 20k left to settle my balance. If i hadnt just spent xmas in vegas and done well i would have never been able to pay. What I received was a car that need countless issues addressed front to back. I never showed my true disappointment or said anything cross to charlie, he was the only 1 knowledgeable on the 30-40k of work done to my car. On top of personal reasons we have been delayed due to constant issues with the wiring and fuel relay, constantly having to rewire it to get it to work again. Of all this on 3 or 4 occasions id reached out to him to see if he could explain something. One day I'm at a car parts store trying to get rid of the rats nest of wires spliced together to keep bypassing shorts to the the fuel pump/relay, ive replaced it all to find the problem has now stretched out of the original source of problems and something had been pulled loose in the repair process. I'm now stranded in small town ga with no internet to look anything up, access to uber or taxis and could only call if I didn't move my phone. I called Charlie who texted back it was Saturday and he was off. I said I'm only calling because I'm stranded and it's kind of an emergency. He called me clearly angry and I asked for some info on what I was dealing with and let him go in maybe a minute. I ended up staying stranded and texting Charlie over the next few days to contact me at his earliest convenience. Finally I say he must still be angry I clearly need to find someone else to help me finish my car. He responds pretty much immediately then that it's my fault for taking my car home early. I'm sorry but I'm not waiting years for someone to keep screwing my car up. He knows alot of people that did good work but counting on him to manage things properly and from what I can see I would never recommend him. It had been 18 months since I picked this car up BTW. Id almost never contacted him and def wasnt doing so regularly off hours. It has been constant problems since and I let him stay involved and help get things solved to help salvage this project he started but it's obvious now I made the right decision taking my car and now getting someone to sort out all the issues from him

I took my 1988 RX7 NA in for a full racing beat exhaust install. They did a great job on the exhaust as well as the air pump delete and dual belt pulley install. Racing beat s exhaust typically sag a lot on the driver side and most people can never figure out the solution, but when I got my car back it looked perfect and straight with zero sag. Great quality work done in a timely manner with great service, 10/10 would recommend!Service: Exhaust
