We bought a certified pre-owned 2021 Mazda CX-30. Pat Losac was our sales representative. We feel we got a good price and we're happy with the car. Some repairs needed to be done. Pat is seeing to it. They are in process. The hope is that we'll be even happier with it when the repairs are done.

I made an appointment for oil change and tire rotation than it takes 1 1/2 hrs. The also suggested an alignment at the cost of over $100 and my car shows on sign of needing an alignment . Why make an appointment if they can't do the work in a timely manner

Mia Szechenyi set my appointment at the requested time and on the specific day I requested. It was Barika Sadiq-Mayala's first day on the job and I was her first customer. She did an amazing job getting me checked in and checked out. My car was inspected by Lennox Joseph, who sent me a video of the inspection. All in all, I was very pleased with the service while I waited and enjoyed complimentary snacks and beverages. My only criticism is the time it took from me pulling up and actually being greeted at the vehicle. They need to work on that, and they need to get updated their magazines in the waiting area and do a much better job with their complimentary car wash.

The lobby has different seating arrangements for customers to watch the big screen TV, read, or work on their laptops with the free wifi. There are free refreshments and snacks. Their ladies' restroom is always stocked.and clean.

The service advisor leaves a lot on the table... not happy. My car was ready, and yet I had to wait over 20 min longer. I went up to the counter after I saw my car was ready and was told he would be with me soon. I was sitting in the waiting area and recieved a phone call that I would be sent a link for payment... what, no personal service? The worst part... I waited another 12 minutes only to still not get the link. I finally got to the counter and they didn't have my paperwork ready... no apology, nothing.... no one talked to me about my car.. no one thanked me for coming in... Unbelievable. I walked out to my car and the complimentary car wash... a... not.. more like they sprayed my car with water... it was still very dirty. This was absolutely the worst service I have had.

They were organized and friendly. The waiting area was comfortable and clean. They just need to put in charging ports for devices to go with the long wait. I love the video they send that shows what the mechanic worked on and what they recommend. That was so cool to me.

Great staff, great service! Doug, a service representative, was very helpful and informative in getting the repairs I needed done. I love the new facility, and will continue to use Jim Ellis if I need any further work and repairs.

My interactions with the service team was an absolute pleasure from the moment I pulled into the garage. I was meant with warm smiles and detailed information about their social distancing practices. Throughout the process I was kept up-to-date on pricing and timing. I loved that there were no surprises when my car was ready for pickup!I can't remember my service reps name but he was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I enjoyed working with him the entire time and will make sure to request him if I have to return.Service: Tires

Danger!!!!!!!! Don't bring your vehicle to this dealership!!!!! I feel that it's filled with uexperienced technicians who troubleshoot vehicles at the customer's expense. Where is the leadership for the future technicians. What happened to a place that you can trust for all of your automotive needs????? You know it's bad when a insurance company refuses to deal with them anymore. IJS

Update after 40K maintenance:Why did I go back? The car was once again washed, which wouldn t have been a problem if it didn t take the sealant with it. They recommended brakes be done, which was honestly reasonably priced for dealer service but now the brakes seem to be missing the protector plates and one of the wheels now have a large scratch that wasn t there before. It s incredibly frustrating. I go to dealerships to get the car serviced in hopes that they re specialized for Mazdas and will treat my car better than general independent mechanics. I m not sure, at this point, if continuing to do so is a good idea at this location. -Service advisor was nice and courteous. Waiting area was an open concept space shared with the sales area. Overall, the place looks nicely renovated (probably in line with Mazda s current marketing strategy). But: multiple problems.First: car wash. It s free, so I can t complain except it s machine wash, and it didn t do a good job. No point taken off because I forgot to ask not to wash it. I m hoping it didn t mess with the clear coat too much.Second: dashcam cabling was basically ripped off from the routing I did. You have to make an effort to get all the cable out of the rubber seal like they did. I haven t taken it back in yet. It is a pain and takes me a while to route the long wires.Third and most egregious: I paid for the tire rotation. I expect the tires to be inspected if I m paying for the service. TPM sensor lit up on the drive back home. Suspecting a flat, I pulled over and inflated the tires. Every single tire was under inflated, and one of them was off by so much that it triggered the TPM sensor. So far all four are holding just fine, so I don t think it s a flat.None of the issues noted are worth having them make it right. What are they going to do have me drive 15 miles over to check tire pressure? But it makes me second guess if they ve done anything else right. Did they actually change the oil? Did they actually inspect my car like they said they did? Definitely not confidence inspiring. No amount of customer service is worth the trip if the work done itself leaves you questioning.

I have nothing but good things to say about the service department. Maron was my original point of contact when I brought my car in for general inspection, oil change, tire rotation and alignment. I thought it was helpful they send you a video of the inspection walkthrough. Maron was friendly, professional and kind enough to tell me which issues needed to be addressed immediately and which could be pushed back to a later service. After my original service, the TPMS light came on and I later noticed my back tire was going flat. I was able to quickly get back in with my vehicle without an appointment where Josh was able to quickly discern that I had run over a screw. He ordered the replacement tire and got it switched out all in that same day. And not to mention my car is always returned washed and looking great. Thanks to the whole team!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Oil change

I bought my car new with them last year & this was a service for the 5000 mile check up included with my purchase. They changed oil, cleaned my car, rotated tires & checked on some minor things I brought up like my door getting caught on the rubber seal when you closed it, and the AC blowing hot out one vent and cold out another. They also installed new software. Doug was my service provider and he was great, super professional, kept me up to date on everything. Really nice visit.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Air conditioning, Oil change

I don't know if this review will make any difference at having them improve their service. Warning to anyone considering a Mazda, look for something else. The dealer network is terrible, sales and service are very different in how they treat customers. Mazda corporate does not care because dealers are private so they don't care how well or poorly they represent the brand itself. Sales will lie to you to sell you a vehicle and then the rest of the business will never keep up on what they promised. Now, about my service experience... Over the last five years of ownership of my wife's car we've never had a single good service experience at Jim Ellis Mazda. We made an appointment to have my wife's cars oil changed and tires rotated which they were booked out for 5 weeks (never had that issue with any brand vehicle I've owned). While waiting for our appointment the radio system in our CX-5 stopped working. I called and updated the dealer that I'd like that looked at and fixed too. Also told them we were going out of town for a week so they can keep the car. Once we got there we dropped the car off and told them the same thing again. For most of the week that we were gone we did not receive any update. The day before we were expected to head back I called and was told they had called and left a voicemail asking for authorization to order the parts. No missed call or voicemail was to be found. We asked for a courtesy vehicle which they proudly tell you they offer at time or purchase or each time they solicit you to trade your existing vehicle which once again ended up being a point of contention with the service manager. I had to call the following day and they were magically able to arrange for one after being told they had no cars and everything they had coming in was already spoken for. Once back form the trip we picked up the courtesy car and then still took an other week and a half to get the car repaired. Ultimately it took almost three weeks to get our car fixed, a $1000 repair bill and as usual terrible communication and attitude from the service staff. If cars weren't a depreciating asset I'd have moved on to another brand 2 years after buying my wife's car solely because of the dealer network and more specifically Jim Ellis treats their customers. I'd love to have them contact me and promise me a flawless service experience for the next 2 to 3 services and actually see them fulifll it.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Oil change

I bought my car here and bring it in regularly for maintenance and repairs when needed. I had my car serviced by Eddie Goines.Eddie always provides stellar customer service and cares about each individual and their needs. Now that my vehicle is over 150k miles, I continue to bring my vehicle to Mazda because of the service Eddie provides and the confidence in services performed. The only area for service improvement would be changes that occurred over the last year. Tire rotations are no longer free when they used to be with the purchase of 4 tires. Also, coupons are harder to come by. These make me really have to consider if my car should be fully serviced here if other places are competitive.I would love to see more service perks for people who bought vehicles from the dealership and are over 100k miles.

Made an appointment for my 2011 Mazda over a week in advance for an electrical diagnostic. Was called less than 24 hours before the appointment and told they do not work on vehicles 2011 or older .

My vehicle has been serviced by this location on several occasions considering I previously worked less then 5miles away. However, Mazada dealerships are not accessible from my home and the nearest one is at least 25 miles away ( Jim Ellis is the furthest) Various competitors are local but not one Mazda dealer. I hope my upcoming service appointment goes well considering the distance I will be traveling. See you soon Maron

Eddie my usual service advisor is a great guy. Always willing to go above and beyond to help inform me and keep me updated on services and whether I need them or not. That kind of service doesn't come around too often. I've been dealing with him since 2013 when we got our CX-5 brand new and he's been nothing but great.

After getting service completed on my car, and I mean a full package maintenance deal a week ago, the TPMS indicator light came on after I left the dealership - literally the same day. I took it back, and they tried to say it would be something I would have to pay to get fixed. That light was not on prior to me coming in for service. I just finished paying for new tires and a host of other services. So, if the TPMS light indicator is a result of new tires being placed on the vehicle- Mazda should fix it. We'll see! I'll definitely come back and update you all on what they decide to do.Today, 2/8/22- I came back to get the TPMS sensor fixed. Mazda wanted to charge me $135.00 for a sensor that was working just fine prior to me coming in the first time. Now I will advise, they did waive the labor costs, but that isn't enough. I was told at 9am this morning that the time frame to fix the sensor would take 2 hours. I waited at the dealership (no lie) from 9am to 2pm. Again, NOT ACCEPTABLE! My money and time are super valuable. This is NOT acceptable, Mazda. I'll definitely write a letter to Mazda's corporate office .

Had to have the front wiring harness replaced, and because it was a rather expensive repair, I was skeptical at first. But Eddie was extremely patient with me (even when I didn't deserve it) and helped me understand exactly what happened and why. Great service all around!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, BatteryServices: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Battery

Very dissatisfied. Extremely long wait and when trying to tell them about my issues, issues that have been documented on discussions boards, they returned my car telling me they couldn't duplicate the problem. So I spent an hour was able to record the same issue and sent them the recording. Still haven't heard how they plan to resolve the problem. Very poor customer service and follow up.

Did not complete service after keeping car for over two days. Only changed oil. Did not let me know location was closing. Ordered part and said they would call me when it came in and would schedule rest of service. After being a customer for 20 years and buying 5 Mazda s was not notified of closure. No evidence of the part being ordered. No one called to reschedule service.

I have had a rubbing sound in the suspension since I got the car over a year ago. I finally got a technician to hear it and they were going to order the parts and let me know when they arrived. They never called. I called back and the service tech said he would check on the parts and call me right back. That was a week and a half ago and I have yet to hear from them. Customer service is definitely slipping from what it used to be.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Called Parts to check if they have a part for my daughter's Mazda Protege. Kamran was helping me, took the vin to make sure that brake master cylinder reservoir cap.will be fitting correctly. Even called me back later to let me know they don't have it in stock right now (which saved me unnecessary trip there) but he can order one from the warehouse, which we did. When cap arrived I've received a call that's it's ready for pick up. At the dealership, everyone - porters, parts associates - were extremely polite! Thanks Kamran!

My salesperson was Marion Gilbert. He was able to find the car I wanted in the color I wanted and was super helpful with showing me all the different details and features of the car! This is the second vehicle that I have purchased from Jim Ellis and I drove 124 miles each time just to purchase my vehicle.

I purchased a 2021 CX-30 from this dealership. It is the 2nd Mazda I have bought from the Jim Ellis family and been impressed with their consummate professionalism and friendliness both times. They have made me a loyal customer.
