German Auto Repair is a premier auto repair shop for European cars. I have used them multiple times to repair my BMW. They always do a thorough job and give proper advice. I highly recommend them.

These guys are fantastic!! I needed a Pre-Purchase Inspection on a Porsche and I live in New York State. I called and talked with Bill and Craig and they got the car in the next day. They performed a thorough inspection on the car and provided me with great detail. Could't have ask for more, or better. Kudos to German Auto Repair!!

I contacted German Auto Repair for a quote after a mobile mechanic said that my VW Atlas needed a new radiator (original issue was a coolant leak). I spoke with Craig and he was able to get my car in pretty quickly as I only had a short window that I could be without a car. Craig said that he would be surprised if my car actually needed a new radiator and suggested that I let them do a pressure test to see where the leak was coming from. The mobile mechanic was incorrect and the guys at German Auto Repair figured out that my radiator was okay and that I needed a new water pump. They ordered the part same day and it was a quick fix! Not only did I get my car back much quicker than I was anticipating, but the cost was significantly less than what I was expecting to pay. Craig and Bill were both fantastic people to work with. They were both incredibly kind, helpful, and made a pleasant experience out of a stressful situation. I highly recommend this repair shop and will only take my car here moving forward!

Bill and the folk at GAR are the best. It's like going to the dealership without the high cost. They are honest and very knowledgeable about all German cars. They don't do repairs just to do them if they are needed they will complete them and let you know why. They keep my Audi Q5 running like a champ. For the past seven years, German Auto Repair has helped keep my 1989 Mercedes 560SL on the road and running well. They always do what they say they are going to do, and they go beyond when there are opportunities to do so. They knowledgeable when it comes to the car, and fair when it comes to doing business. I have appreciated the partnership with them.

After going to several places including a bmw dealership. A friend that has his wife's porsche worked on here suggested that I take my i8.And I was not disappointed. Will take my i8 here anytime

I was referred to German Auto Repair a few years ago and have been going to them every since. Their work is high quality! The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. They have kept my car in top running condition. What is most important to me is integrity. When I take my car in to German Auto Repair, they tell me the truth. They don't try to get extra money or perform un-necessary services. Finally, if it is a rare repair that they can't fix, they tell me. I own a very old Volkswagen that is usually a hassle to have repaired. German Auto Repair diagnosed the issue within minutes of me dropping off my vehicle and had it fixed by the next day! Very reasonable rate of labor for their quality and speed of work! Also, they honored military discount for labor and parts, which was a great perk! Additionally, they have an online service for me to track my repairs and my mileage, which is helpful for a older car like mine. I am so happy I tried German Auto Repair out as I now finally have a mechanic I can trust with my older car and all its special issues :)

Its great to know a shop that won t rip you off when it comes to repairs. I took my car to a VW dealership and after having a terrible experience and getting quoted for $1000 repair to replace power steering pump, ac pump, and drive pump, I decided to get a second opinion. Luckily I found GAR and told them what needed to be replaced. After a quick turnaround from having my car they were able to run a diagnostic and found that all that needed to be replaced was an o-ring for less than $100. Now I m back driving my car with no issues. This is a great shop with excellent customer service

I have been using German Auto Repair for many years and I have always been completely satisfied, one hundred percent. This last time was especially mind comforting after I was informed by a Mercedes service advisor that I would need to replace all fuel injectors to resolve my misfire. I then took the car to my regular service mechanics at German Auto Repair and was told that the problem was minor, a fuel pressure valve. They do a wonderful job for a fair price. Dealerships charge way too much for the simplest things. I have used German Auto Repair twice now. One for a repair to a damaged inside vent. (They charged half of what the dealership estimated); and the second was a service and headlight adjustment. The service was very reasonably priced and they did not charge me for the headlight adjustment. I will definitely continue to use them.

This is my second time using German Auto Repair for repair services to my 335i BMW coupe. Both experiences were top notch as my car ran 100% smoother after each visit. To date, they have fixed a control arm issue, and as the call it, the BMW trifecta (the oil pan, oil filter housing gasket, valve cover assembly) to my satisfaction. The prices aren't cheap, but they are less expensive than what you would pay at the dealer. I would have given 5 stars, BUT my car seems to have a few knicks/chips that weren't there prior to my service visit. The shop is on a very congested lot (this was a concern of mine) that is shared with several other car repair shops. I would certainly recommend this shop, but I would strongly recommend that you make note of any imperfections to your vehicle before and after having it serviced.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Repair shop with integrity - as my Bimmer got older and started to show its age, I started to shop for a local repair shop few years back. After 3 frustratingly not so good experience (read getting ripped off, pushed to do things the car probably did not need, etc.), I landed at German Auto Repair and have not looked back since. Robert and crew tell me exactly what is needed, don't try to hard sell unnecessary maintenance that can wait safely and charge fairly. Even though I have moved several miles away few months back, I continue to use them. I highly recommend German Auto Repair.

I called to make an appointment for my Mini in for regular maintenance- brakes arrrrrg- and Jerry was able to get me quickly- which made my day because....brakes! This is only the second time I've had my car in with German Auto Repair. They finished the work earlier than expected and even found and fixed an issue that might have left me stranded. These guys are honest, professional, fair in their pricing and the customer service provided is top notch. It's nice knowing that I have a mechanic I can count on for an honest assessment of what I need as well as honest pricing for the work that is performed. I can't say enough positive things about this shop. I'll be back and I will be telling all of my Mini driving friends to skip the dealership because the the guys here are the BEST!

I chose this shop when I got my first BMW, an '07 328 I've had for over 3 years now, based on its excellent reviews. I just got back from my 6th visit, and have been satisfied every time. I don't think BMW maintenance is going to be cheap anywhere, but the prices here seem reasonable, and I feel like I've been well treated. I'll definitely be back.

The facilities are very nice and clean and everyone was very friendly and professional. Took time to explain everything. Prices were fair too. They have gained a new customer and I would recommend anyone looking for dealer quality without dealer prices to definitely go to German Auto Repair, Inc..

I feel safe with German Auto Repair. This was my first visit, and will be the only place that will service my vehicles. After two visits to my Audi dealership and paying for services that didn't solve the problem, my neighbor told me about German Auto Repair. I immediately felt comfortable talking to Jerry. He told me the exact problem with my car and serviced it. I thought it was time for a new car, now my car runs great. Thanks to Jerry and the team of professionals.

This is the place to go if you own a BMW. Half the price of a dealership and they do just as good of a job. Highly recommend.

I brought my Audi into GAR for a complete inspection prior to my manufacturer warranty expiring. This was my first and last visit.Charged me 2 hours of labor to inspect the entire vehicle and top off any fluids. This includes simple items such as checking interior lights while I mainly only wanted them to look under the hood. But this was their typical complete inspection and wasn't tailored for me.What they missed (and I know because I took it to the dealer 2 days after) is that my oil level was below acceptable and my low oil light came on the following morning, verified by my dipstick. Also, I had a coolant leak in my thermostat that a simple pressure test would have identified. I'm not sure what they did look at (other than running tests on the computer), but it seems they were not very thorough, especially considering the cost.The guy at the counter was nice, but I would not recommend and will not be returning.

Jerry was the absolute best. I took my son's Audi to be repaired and it was scheduled perfectly and done ahead of time. Reason price, trustworthy. This is my son's new repair shop for his car. Great customer service.

I wish I weren't moving because I just found this shop to work on my Audi. I've spent several years managing having service done at the dealership, which usually required making an appointment weeks in advance, then having the service take more than a day, and having to return several times for them to actually really fix the issue. These folks were able to fit me in the next day, got the work done faster than expected and at a lower cost at the dealership. I'd rather have it done right and quickly than drive around in a "free" loaner car for three days. Not to mention all the "suggested repairs" made by the dealer that we're really needed.
