Transmission fluid was leaking from the car. They gave me a free diagnostic check up, and it turned out that the transmission was fine and the leak was coming from a different place. I appreciate the time and attention that they put towards my vehicle, and due to their skill in diagnosis, I was able to solve the problem quickly. Many thanks!

Brought in my higher mileage van for a check on the transmission. They ran the tests and found everything was in good shape and recommended no action. No charge for the inspection; I know where I'll go when I do need transmission work!

My transmission needed to be rebuilt. They did a great job. They communicated with me to keep me updated on how the repairs were going. They finished in a timely manor. I was so happy to have my car back.

Took my Grand Cherokee here after being told the repair would be nearly 7 thousand dollars. Called them after hours and they picked up and explained the process to me for about 15 minutes without any rushing. Free diagnostic, and they try and find and recalls or class actions for major components. Once they confirmed what the issue was they quoted me the entire repair with parts, taxes, and labor, which was under 3 thousand. I had to travel while they were completing it and I received text updates regularly that helped me understand the situation and timeline. Could not be more impressed with this place. Experiences that are geared towards the customer like this are becoming extremely rare. If ANYTHING that these guys can do for my vehicle is ever required again, I wont think twice about bring it back. Overall fantastic experience in all aspects. Easy 5 STARS.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

As a long time owner of Subaru's I was distraught when my 2005 Baja began making extremely harsh upshifts. After taking the Baja to two Subaru dealerships, where neither could diagnose my transmission problem, the Team at AMMCO - Marietta found the root cause of the harsh shifts. Many Thanks to Mark, Jason and the entire Team at AAMCO - Marietta for keeping the automatic transmission in my Baja in good running order into its' twentieth year!

Although my car had been driven roughly 26k prior to me being informed of the issue, my warranty was for 36k. I wasn't asking anything for free. I was asking for the people who replaced the transmission and received about 6k, 1250 in labor, to meet me halfway on fixing the tube that allows for transmission fluid to be put in and maintained. Not willing to do such. Instead of going back and forth, I choose to pick up my car. When I picked up the car is when they wanted to show me pictures or other broken tubes... not my problem, and then offer 1 hr off the labor while saying "we're not tryna get over on you" when I looked at the initial estimate the part was 150 and they were charging me for 2hrs plus the part for a total around 460. Googled this as instructed by Aamco and its a 30min job to fix... Smh. Not angry, just disappointing that Black women still remain the most disrespected and unprotected people in America. Taking my business elsewhere

Explain how my wife pays 3k to fix a transmission issue THEY diagnosed only to come back less than 10k miles later to be told you need a to pay 7k to rebuild your transmission and your warranty isn t valid on SOMETHNG THEY MISDIAGNOSED. Do yourself a favor and take your car to the dealer where they stand behind their work and diagnostics and actually stand behind their warranty. I need to hear from the owner. As a former auto repair shop manager, the customer shouldn t be responsible for an initial misdiagnosis. Especially when you pay 3k to be told pay 850 to check it out and we ll out that into the 7k .. shops elsewhereImagine paying this to be told oh that part fine (in the transmission) but the transmission bad when communication should have been clearer and told we d still need a transmission (confirmed by 2. Chrysler certified technicians).UPDATEshould I show the emails where you ve blatantly lied to corporate about the car being there a year ago when it was clearly there in june? How about where you said blatantly stated you knew that vehicle year make and model had transmission issue but blantaly neglected to inform either party of that to get a sale and get more money on the return visitSo instead of worrying about customers your concern is profit. Your response shows concern. I wish you had that same concern for your customers. I ll discuss this in a series of instagram reels on Facebook and I ll this facility. Thank you sir!

Ultimately I decided not to repair/replace my transmission due to age/value/condition of my car and current life circumstances, however Jason and Mark were both very knowledgeable, helpful and gave me honest information. Will use them again.

Great service and great work. They were recommended by my local transmission shop because the work needed was beyond their ability. I highly recommend this place for transmission work.

My 2019 F-150/5.0/STX trans temp hit 242 and the guage almost touched the yellow zone, when towing enclosed trailer. From the first call (Jason), to dropping it off (Mark) everyone had super positive energy. They said all fluid and what not is fine and just be careful on hotter days. I can t believe they didn t charge a diagnostic fee or find something wrong. This is pure honesty at its best. As an experienced consumer, this has been a breath of fresh air. If an issue should come up, I ll definitely have this AAMCO service it.6 Stars!Thank you.

This place is horrible would never recommend it to no one. Warranty companies should not work with them. They broke part on my car then tried to tell me it was typical wear and tear.

Thank you so much Jason for your service and expertise on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee.I had my engine light checked at Advance Auto Service, got the codes, new it had to do with a connection concerning the transmission which had me worried since my car stalled in the middle of the road out of nowhere. Went to Advantage Auto Service where I had recently got my spark plugs and more replaced, gave them the codes, they sent me to this Aamco just 1 minute down the road. I was greeted by Jason before they even opened. I told him what I knew and he let me know it would take at least 48hrs to get my FREE diagnostics since people dropped their vehicles off before me. It look less than 48hrs and he came back with the results. It was way more expensive than I thought but I basically had to replace my transmission. He did not pressure me to have the work done and he was detailed in his explanation. I picked up my car the next day and there were no hard feelings. Thank you so much for the work you do and your honesty.(P.S. Decided to trade in my car based on his findings and now I'm relieved of the stresses this car may further cause me)

Just in case you don t make it to the end: 10/10, would go again and wouldn t change a thing about my experience. Mark and Jason are the best. Kind, professional, and punctual. You can t find a better place to get your transmission done!My 2017 Tucson scarily broke down in the middle of a busy road a couple days after Christmas. I d initially gotten my car towed to another place and the mechanic there, while helpful about providing me some information about my car, was not able to actually diagnose anything after me leaving my car there for several days. I was told to take it to the Hyundai dealership.$340 in the hole already with no idea what was going on with my car, I chose to go to AAMCO Marietta with only 5 mins to close (sorry about that). Mark made me feel at ease immediately and told me that they wouldn t run a single test that would cost me money without first consulting me. Jason kept me informed on the status of my warranty claim, said the car would be ready the following Friday, and it absolutely was! I wish I d taken my car here in the first place.Service: Transmission

I only went there because my mechanic referred me to this close shop. Jason was friendly but after he had my van diagnosed I knew something was not right. I did a fair amount of research online and decided to take it to another shop..not a AMACO one.I have a close friend who owns a few franchises and he had taken his vehicles when they needed transmission to another location an independent, and so that's what I did. I come to find out that what I was told originally was not correct. My trans is now taken care of and is sound did not need to be replaced. Unfortunately a friend of mine also took her SUV to a Amoco dealer and she was told she needed a new transmission ...was that true? One needs to do research on transmission repairs.

Echoing most of these fine reviews. I called other places first. Many shops were happy to give me a knee-jerk estimate, "We'll rebuild it for $3200." AAMCO on the other hand said, "We'll look at it first, and then give you an estimate."Good move on my part to bring it to AAMCO- the fix was 1/4 what the other guys estimated.Jason and his crew were also super about the timeline. I dropped it off on Friday, they diagnosed and called me Monday, said they'd get parts Tuesday and have it fixed by Thursday and that's exactly what happened. I couldn't be more pleased (except, of course, unless my car had never broke down in the first place but you know what I mean.)

I am so grateful for Jason and everyone else who works here. Straightforward honesty and integrity is what you'll get here.My trusted mechanic retired. I was fine until my car started jerking in between gears, and lit up the check engine light. These guys did a free two day diagnostic and not only told me what was wrong with my car, but explained it to me and patiently answered all my questions even though it didn't turn out to be a transmission issue! So all of that- FOR FREE. And then recommended me to a great mechanic who does engine repairs. Not only do I have a fixed car, but I also have a new mechanic, who is just as good and honest as my last. THANKS AAMCO MARIETTA!!!!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

My experience with this shop was fantastic. I don t have a trusted mechanic in the area but my family uses one and when I figured it out it was a transmission issue that place recommended Aamco on Cobb Pkwy. Mark and Jason were fantastic to work with, super nice honest people and when it didn t turn out to be a full transmission issue, they were honest and upfront and didn t overcharge me. They were extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and I would recommend this place to anyone!Services: Transmission, Electrical

They know their stuff, and they did a great job! I had been told elsewhere that I likely would need a new or rebuilt transmission. They tested my car and told me that they thought that it was something relatively minor, and it was. It ended up costing me $350 rather than the $4,000 that I would have expected at a dealer, none of whom actually repair transmissions anymore, they just want to replace them with a rebuilt one. There is something to be said for using an owner-operated business whose first objective is to repair, not replace, and who lives customer service every day. I happily would use them again.Service: Transmission

These guys on Cobb Parkway are great! The transmission on my Nissan Xterra was starting to act up and I didn't know where to go around me to get it looked at. My dad all the way in NY mentioned AAMCO and I'm glad I went to this one. Mark was extremely knowledgeable on what was wrong after a diagnosis and kept me up to date with everything they found. I really like how he didn't feed me any bs and worked to help keep the price reasonable. In fact Mark was upfront with the pricing before any work was done and offered time to think it over. No pressure! With the amount of work done, which was a lot, the price was WAY better then what the dealership would have charged me. PLUS it comes with a two year warranty. I even got to look at the removed parts and Mark walked me through and explained each one that was damaged to have a better understanding. They were even able to replace a bad catalytic converter for me. Something I didn't bring the car in for but could be replaced while working on the main problem. That was an amazing bonus! Definitely coming back! Car works beautifully! Thanks again Mark!

Had transmission issues and had to get my car towed here. Was praying it would be fixable and didn't need a new transmission because I didn't need a $4-6k headache. Jason was able to fix it for $315 because the pressure switch was loose and all my transmission fluid leaked out. Fixed the switch, filled it up with fluid and it's been running great for the past 6 months now. They could have been dishonest and charged me thousands and didn't. Everything was handled professionally and quickly too and they even sent a Christmas card. I hope I don't have transmission issues again but if I do I'm taking it here and you should too.

My cars gear indicator was flashing and came here after looking at reviews. I have no regrets as they treated me nicely, were transparent, and were able to have my car s transmission issue fixed in 2 days. They also sent me a thank you note in the mail which really made my day! I highly recommend the business!

Big shout out to Jason. I brought my Honda Ridgeline in with a transmission issue, he checked it out, told me what was wrong and instructed me to take it to the dealership as it was most likely covered under warranty. He took the time to give me the exact service bulletin number and explained the issue at length. He didn't charge me anything. Also a very nice guy. Highly recommend!Service: Transmission

I want to give a special thank you to Jason! He took on the issues with my car full speed, professionally and genuinely . He had no hesitation with dealing with my 3rd party warranty. He made sure I didn t have to come out of pocket more than I already have. Not only did he put in the extra work he kept me fully in the loop and educated me along the way. I would trust him and his team with any of my car needs. It s so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. He and his team were absolutely wonderful and my baby is back on the road purring like new. Thanks guys! I ll be back with some goodies !Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

I m going to make this long story short about how the BMW dealership and others were pricing my transmission issue starting at $4800 to $5800. After letting my car Jessie sit in the garage for a week I started making phone calls again. I explained this to the two or three auto repair technicians about my transmission after a diagnosis test at the dealership. Bottom line, it was stated I needed a new transmission. I was referred to speak to Mark. Let me tell you, he is my life saver. After keeping him on the phone for 15 minutes, I decided to toll my car to the shop for a free diagnostic test that Aamco offers. We talked later that day and he gave me the best news ever. I didn t need a new transmission. The manual valves was broken. It was three times less than prices given to me. Jessie feels brand new. Thank you Mark. Thank Jason.

When you want top notch, high quality perfection, at a good price.. this is where to go. They are thorough, friendly, fair and forthcoming about vehicle (transmission) repair. Even from the 1st phone call, i knew this would be the place to trust taking care of my car. They even use original manufacturer parts and fluids. I'm not sure if you have to ask for it, but I admire excellence.

I ve been trying to get a full diagnosis on an old jeep with multiple failing systems all year. It sat at Ed Voyles CDJR for A month (and they didn t even look at it), and my other two trusted mechanics were pretty perplexed over it. I broke down and dropped it off at AAMCO for a free diagnostic, they had it done in under a day (which is unbelievable in the current auto/mechanic climate). They gave me the answers I needed straight up no extra sales just honesty and helped me decide what to do - turns out I didn t even need transmission service. This location in specific had the best employees they re quick, honest and trustworthy and I will refer everyone here in the future, as well as return myself for any other future needs. Thanks AAMCO!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Had to get my Honda Civic towed due to a transmission issue. I was recommended this specific location by another repair shop that was unable to help with my issue. Sure glad they recommended AAMCO in Marietta because they were able to quickly identify the issue and fix it ! Mark was outstanding in providing detailed information about the issue and made this stressful situation much easier to deal with. Definitely recommend this location for all your transmission needs !
