I love this place! After a decade of trading away I came up with some girlfriends for a much needed vacation. The house isn't fancy, but it is very comfortable, and a great jumping off point to sight see in the area! We did a couple of wineries every day, never driving more than an hour, and always on beautiful country roads- Georgia wine is in its own category, and there was always something that we liked. The maintenance guy (Dave?) was great- he came out to look at the washer (which worked but sounded like a jet was taking off), fixed a few other little things, then took the time to go over maps and local fauna with us- we did the Jeep trail, found bear claw marks on trees, watched for deer (early morning!), and found some great rocks! We didn't use the resort much, but from experience the lake is great, the hiking trails are great and if you need anything Blanche will do her best!

The units are very outdated. Need to be completely renovated. The sofas and chairs had blankets over them to cover the worn upholstery. The views from the balconies are of other cabins and cars. There is a wood burning fireplace, but you are not allowed to burn wood in it. If you do you are fined $150. There were roaches in the unit and I called the desk and they said maintenance would come. Never did. Saw roaches crawling around the vanity in our bedroom by our toothbrushes and cups. There are no activities at this place that come with the unit. You have to pay to use a fitness center or a pool. The wifi signal was very weak. A lot of buffering. If you like bugs, 1970's furnishings, no amenities then this is the place for you. Otherwise DON'T stay here. We booked it for a week, but checked out after 3 days and went to another place. Once the roaches showed up we had enough

Clean inside, comfortable but small beds, and pretty views. Villa was a little dated and could have used a good pressure washing on the outside. We failed to get word that you had to pick up the key off site if you were an Exchange guest..resulted in us having to make a trip back in town before checking in. The time for check in was 4 PM with a 10 AM check out.

There is so much to do here it's incredible, BUT, if you are not a timeshare owner, it will cost you a fortune. We are and we loved it.Hiking trails, indoor and outdoor pools, marina with pontoon boats, fishing, golf course, tennis, bocce ball, on and on.Nice restaurants and a bar onsite. The only reason it gets 4 stars is the map provided and signage makes it really hard to find things.

The staff is amazing espically Blanch and Ken. They were very fast to fix the problem with our dryer. The golf is always good. The hiking trails were awesome. We loved the covered bridge trail. The house was so nice!!!

Beautiful area. But these places are so outdated and run down. My husband booked without reading recent reviews... It's horrible! Room smells like it's 100 years old. Floors squeak. Tubs are stained. Beds are like sleeping on the floor. Upstairs windows was not installed correctly cause it has an inch gap on it. Living room furniture is worn out and out dated. Dresser drawers will fall out on ur feet. No where to go outside when it's raining. And this is only day 2 of our stay here. Very disappointing. Would I recommend this place.... No. The area yes, it is beautiful

I love the gated community. You don't have to deal with a whole lot of people. Beautiful trails and waterfalls. Rent a boat and hit the lake all day. It's fun and homey. Would definitely come back here!

The villas are old and not updated but they suffice and the resort is wonderful.

If I was there it must have been a very very very poor excuse for a golf club because I never seen one I mean where was this located

Noteworthy details: It was great for what I paid for it. You get what you pay for. But have to say I was a lil worried about the electrical work. The ceiling fan in the living room had a drop cord sliced in. The back porch light wouldn't even stay on due to a short. We visited just a couple of weeks before Christmas there wasn't one Christmas decorations!! Very disappointing for my grandsons. But on the nicer side it was very quiet and peaceful, and a very beautiful place, just needs some up keep.
