I recently had my vehicle serviced at AAMCO for the second time, and I must say that they have solidified their place as my go-to mechanic shop. The professionalism and efficiency displayed by their team are truly commendable.On both occasions, the staff at AAMCO addressed my car's issues promptly. They provided a thorough explanation of the necessary repairs, ensuring that I understood the scope of the work needed.

The transmission went out in my 2018 Lincoln navigator after 93,000 miles. I was surprised that there was a problem with the car since it had been maintained to all of Lincoln s recommendations. Fortunately I found AAMCO in Macon Georgia and was able to connect with them and deliver the car to the shop. They called me the next day and told me that the transmission needed to be replaced and while I was disappoint I gave them permission to go ahead and do the work. About a week later I got a call saying the car was ready. back to Macon picked up the car but on the way home the transmission started leaking fluid again. I called AAMCO. They told me to bring it right back and they would take care of it. Boy did they a week later I got a call saying the car was ready and I drove over there today to pick it up and the drive home was like driving it home from the dealer on the day that I got it. It was a big relief to have this problem resolved. Turns out Ford has a class action lawsuit against it on this particular transmission. I will use this business again and recommend them to anybody that is looking for a professional, courteous repair shop!

Very rude and not reliable. My car is older but there was no reason for this poor level of customer service. They had my car for over 3 weeks, it sat for 2 weeks before they even looked at it. They don t at all communicate. I had to call for updates and when I did I was always given an attitude. I was in a bind and had no choice but to use this company and payed a hefty price for the repairs. When I finally got the call that my car was ready, I let Ken know I was paying cash and he said there was a cash discount. When I picked up my car and asked about the cash discount I was told that the discount is you not having to pay our 3.5% credit card fee why would you lie about a discount when really it s not? Felt like immature behavior for adults. Also ironically I saw no cars actively being worked on while picking up my car which I find interesting when they are so behind on services.

Fantastic shop - friendly and prompt service. They didn't charge me after diagnosing an engine problem and suggesting I take it to the dealer. Printed off all necessary documents for it to be covered under warranty. 11/10 recommend!

My review of this business is mixed. Bottom line the repair was completed to my satisfaction. The price seemed a little on the high sideI, but in their defense, I don t fully understand the repair needed and don t have other estimates to compare my repair cost to. I decided to take my car in last month because of an unknown transmission issue. I called for an estimate and was told, I needed to drop it off, they d inspect it, and let me know if they could help and the cost to fix it. I rented a car, and dropped my car off on a Monday morning at 8am. Several days went by with no update, and no repair estimate. When the estimate was provided, the options were $900+ for a transmission fluid/filter replacement or $7000+ for a new transmission. I chose the less expensive option. At the end of the day, they performed the service needed and for that I m very thankful. However, they could improve on: (1) as soon as they know, estimating for customers how long the repair will take, and (2) without customers having to call, actively communicating with customers on updates. For my repair, every update I received, was a result of me (or my wife) calling the shop, including to my surprise the day the repair was complete 2 weeks later. For people who have to rent a car during the repair, I recommend securing a longer term car rental just to be safe. With this shop, you may not know how long you ll need it. In addition, you should incorporate the cost of a rental into the overall repair cost. The 2 week car rental added an unanticipated $1100 cost to the repair budget. I may not have dropped the car off at the time I did, had I known it was going to require 2 weeks of car rental. No business is perfect. But this business could improve on being more sensitive to the challenges customers face while their primary vehicle is being repaired. An accurate estimate of repair time even a worst case scenario would really help customers budget and save money. I would certainly take my car back for repairs, based on proximity to my house and a limited number of service providers in our area.

My car was towed to them on the 18th of November. Was told if I paid half down on the 20th, my car would be ready in @1 week. I was told this 4 times after putting $4000 down. I finally got my car back on the 22nd of December. Had to pay $120 more than quote for "credit card fee". Spoke to the "manager" 3 of the times I called and was told he couldn't tell me how long other than "should be about a week". The only good service was from the lady I spoke with who followed up with me. She deserved a star. The interior was also covered in grease. Would not recommend & sure hope this warrantied transmission lasts because I will drive 100 miles to find another Aamco to not have to take it back to this shop!

My husband brought his Truck here to be worked on and really liked them. So when my SUV was having issues they were our first place to contact. Great customer service and honest. Everyone I spoke to were nice and informative.

Some miscommunication the first time I brought it in and had to take it back for a noise/rattle after clutch install. Stated there must have been a minor shift in parts under the car to cause the steering column to hit the header on drivers side. They were super nice and we going to tweak a few things to make the parts not touch anymore. However, upon further inspection, they found that they installed the crossmember backwards. Reinstalled the crossmember the correct way and noise is gone.

Terrible service and price, 2 weeks waiting for simple job and not was necessary exchange 2 cvt axels because 1 was new sure need charge more money from customers

Some time back when my ram transit van broke down the help key out everything that was wrong, of course it was no hope for it, but they is a really nice group of folks, spend weeks with them til I was able to get towed back to NC, Love them, Love and Blessings

They are working diligently to sort out my car problems so I do not have to get a rental car. Amy is such a nice, friendly, helpful, and professional person. I had an issue with a used truck I purchased recently and they were very helpful with working through the warranty company to get my claim taken care of. They knew we were going on vacation soon and worked to get he truck ready on time. Great service, friendly people and nice shop, office and waiting room. I was getting off exit 2 on 75 and the road destroyed my Drive shaft at 5:27pm. Nothing was open and I was stuck on the road. I took a chance and called Amacco and Gary answered and said drop it on by and they would check it out for me in the am. Long story short a few extra things was wrong with my truck, that I couldn t afford to get done at once. He was so professional and kind and explained about how for safety he wouldn t be able to do half the job. Now, normally ppl would be mad but I think safety comes first. I think it s a honorable company that would say they rather make no money then some money and put someone life in danger. So, even tho I didn t get the work done here; I am pleased with my service. I thank them for caring about a life over money.

Our vehicle developed a leak in the coolant hose while we were visiting the Warner Robins area during the super hot 2022 summer. Gary did a great job of fitting us into their busy shop schedule and making the repairs needed. Amy made sure to keep us informed on the progress that was being made on the repair. We have been very happy with their work and were especially happy to have this work completed before hitting the highway again in the heat. Called to inquire if were able to do a certain repair on a vehicle in which said yes. Then asked for an estimate of what cost would be & said could not give one nor offered in any way to help with the situation. All other repair shops that were called were able to give an estimate promptly with no issues. AMMCO in Macon, Georgia lost a potential customer new to the area. Contacted a reputable, willing repair business that had no problem handling the repair. In response to your response - I did not ask for a patch job I inquired about replacing an Alternator on my vehicle & had nothing to do with wholesale of my vehicle. Also you did not discuss anything with me regarding your response so you must have me confused with someone else. I simply asked for a ballpark estimate as to what cost may be. Don't try to justify your poor attitude regarding the conversation you had with me when you all but refused in any way to help with the repair I needed done on my vehicle. It has been taken care by a more apt business who handled the repair professionally as they did an estimate beforehand.

I ve been here twice now for transmission issues, and even though I hadn t been able to have the extra cash to get them fixed just yet, everyone here has been amazing and so helpful. I have had 2 transmissions rebuilt by this shop over the past several years, both times the work has been excellent, and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. On one vehicle the transmission builder even called me to see how I would be using my truck to be sure he built the transmission to suit the purpose. I doubt you ll get that kind of service from anyplace else.Service: Transmission

My daughter was having transmission issues with her college car so I dropped it off for a diagnosis. They told me they would call me in 2 days, but two weeks went by without a word until I called and got on their case. Then I was informed that they were unable to replicate the issue but I probably needed a $6200 transmission based on the car s mileage.I went to pick the car up and they would not give me a copy of the inspection report I paid $149.99 for. They explained it to me and gave me the bill. I managed to take a photo of at least the code readout.I own a construction company and have quite a lot of vehicles and equipment which I have had different mechanics work on over the years.If I ran my company like this I would, quite rightfully, be bankrupt within a year.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

I Drove 870 miles rented a trailer to pick up a car these Jack wagons repaired! Coolant light was coming on intermittently and I was told it will do that! Don t get ripped off like I did! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS HACK SHOP!!!! BEWARE SAVE YOURSELF SOME GRIEF AND DON T USE THIS RIPOFF BUSINESS!!!!!

Received a recommendation from an Auto Service Tech at another shop in Warner Robins. Tech had his Jeep transmission rebuilt here and some other complicated issues resolved here for about $2000.I had a minor leak in the sealed transmission of my 2010 Mustang that had been rebuilt 2.5 years prior. The staff was friendly and professional. We had some headaches locating some parts but whenever I would call for updates they would put me on with the actually tech who was working my repair. Both very unusual and very much appreciated.Had a full diagnostic inspection, opened the transmission and replaced seals and gaskets, replaced transmission fluid for about $450. Just a transmission fluid flush would run me about $200 some where else. Very happy so far and will likely be a repeat customer despite the twenty five minute drive. I am posting under a different name as the owner of this location is doxxing individuals who leave bad reviews. This is not only on professional but also immoral. I had horrible service while here, I was unable to get my car back when I was promised it within 3 days it took over 2 weeks. And I was charged more than they initially said and anytime I asked about my car and when I'd be able to have it back I was treated rudely and unprofessionally. When I voiced my concerns I was treated even worse, and the owner would not stop calling my personal cell phone to yell at me after I asked him to stop contacting me. Do not go here unless you have an extra month to leave your car and do not mind being harassed.Your response tells everything that is needed to know. If you knew who I was I bet you would be posting my address and phone number as well. Which is unbelievably unprofessional. It's funny that you think I'm double posting when you've just treated so many of your customers so poorly you can't keep up with them all.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I called this location to ask a few questions in regards to issues I was experiencing with my car. The lady I spoke with, I believe her name was Leslie, was very rude. She could not answer any of my questions & seemed to not know anything I was calling in regards to. She told me It would be $100 just to have my vehicle checked for issues. I asked to speak with someone else & she hung up the phone. I later called back & spoke with a Terrence & he was the complete opposite. Very knowledgeable & professional. He even let me know to have the vehicle checked with their system that it was FREE & they would perform the check at no charge. I would have to pay for the repairs if they found any issues that they could fix. This is the same check Leslie tried to charge $100 for. When I arrived on Friday Terrence was no longer at the branch & Leslie was working. She then tried to charge me $89.95 for the check, I left & tried another location due to her poor customer service. I would not recommend this location & judging by the other reviews they seem to try to overcharge & get over on people.

It was a crazy scary time for my 18 year old daughter. She was with her college roommate on her way home from Ga Southern when the car yanked to the right and could not stay on the road. She called me in a panic where I looked up a service online. I got so lucky to find this Aamco. They helped us way beyond the norm. They got a tow truck and then gave us excellent care. The car was fixed and back on the road in no time. My daughter and her roommate made it home safely and there has not been any more issues. Truly a life SaverService: Steering & suspension repair
