My insurance company chose this shop to complete my repairs after I was rear-ended in early August. The shop received my car mid-August. I did not hear anything from anyone at the shop until I actually stopped by in late September. My car was there for over a month and I received absolutely no communication from anyone there. Later, I was told a couple of different dates of completion, but each time the vehicle wasn t actually ready. I finally started going every other day, taking pictures each time I went, so I could track any progress that was made. I ve had my car back for two weeks now (so they had my car for approximately 3 months). I had to return once shortly afterwards due to my rear windshield wiper not properly dispensing washer fluid. The issue was quickly corrected.Bottom line: The work seems to be done well, but the lack of communication is a HUGE problem. They apologized profusely and did some nice things at the end to attempt to make up for what happened, which I did and do appreciate. However, the lengthy repair and, more importantly, the lack of communication left a lasting negative impression.Update: During my repair, I was informed that the battery in my car and my key fob were replaced so I should be good to go. The new key fob battery died late in January. I was informed today the car battery is not at the level it should be to make my car properly function so that s having to be replaced as well. And the tailgate that was replaced during my repair is no longer working properly either, so I ll have to get that fixed by someone else. Reminder: I just got my car back in mid-November and it s only the 3rd of February- a total of less than 3 months. My rating has been updated to reflect these problems.

I often have to figure out repairs on my own because I don't have a lot of extra money but whenever there is something I can't figure out or is to much to do myself I trust the people here at service 1st auto care. They have reasonable pricing and friendly staff. I am glad that my friend recommended this business to me. I always appreciate a good waiting room coffee too.

Edit: 07/25. An effort to make things right:After posting my scathing review I was reached out to try and make it right. After a call, I dropped off my car for a rental as I stated I cannot be without a car for a month. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I get the car back and it's blowing cold. During this entire time, communication is mostly clear and timely. Time will tell if it lasts but I think it's actually fixed this time. My final thoughts are that these guys do want to do things right, and if you just communicate with them you'll have a good experience. I'll remove my original review as it's no longer relevant but the tldr was: Took it twice to fix AC, had it for a month plus each time, got it back blows hot.Good job guys, cheers.

This is my only mechanic now they are great Miss Tamra is a boss. The mechanics are knowledgeable down to earth friendly competent and helpful. They are very accommodating for my two Littles who have to come with me for some repairs the waiting area is very relaxed and has a number of amenities to make anyone feel comfortable. The prices for the work are so reasonable and the work is great I don t have any problems with my vehicle. I will never go back to the dealership mechanic as long as I live near service 1st Auto Care.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

AVOID THIS SHOP all GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM AGES AGO I dropped my car off and was told 3-4 weeks and was in the middle of a move when the accident occurred. The shop said they would get my vehicle complete asap instead 2 months later I have a car in the same state I dropped it off as and THEY DROVE 2500 miles on my car AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS, also they took insurance money from me and did not refund it. Absolutely horrendous service. And they LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING. and the lady that works the front isn t a boss but a criminal. The mechanics dragged my parts across the asphalt, AND THEY GOT JUNK YARD PARTS AVOID THIS SHOP.

Never ever use this company. Trust the reviews. It s funny that google asked me what services were performed!!! NONE !!! I cannot rate this company on their service because they refused to service my vehicle.This company had my car for almost a month (3 days would make a complete month). The mechanic did not even start on my car. Did not even look at it. He didn t even give an estimate for repairs he didn t order anything. Absolutely nothing. Imagine paying a monthly car note and insurance for your car to just sit at a shop.It s completely unacceptable. After 3 weeks of having no car I took it to a shop that told me repairs could be completed in 2 weeks. I m really disgusted at how people run their businesses these days. Simple communication would ve been nice or simply not accepting work you cannot complete.What a waste of time. Literally a month.

They did a fantastic job repainting my Honda Accord; it now look as new as when I first bought it . Ms. Tamara she is very professional, honest, and polite. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I was attempting to use their service after receiving a flyer in the mail, however, no one answers the phone when we tried to call for several days. You can't schedule an appointment online. We went to the location....OMG, CARS (appeared to be old cars that had been sitting for awhile), WERE ALL OVER THE PLACE. There was no where to hardly park. We tried...Thanks but No thanks! You're missing out on business!!

We have been using Service 1st Auto Care since our arrival here in Lithonia and to say we are pleased is an under statement. From the front desk to the owner, care and service is the "motto". The work is professionally done and the pricing is fair. I am actually surprised the location is not overrun with customers at all times! Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

This was by far the smoothest ordeal I ve come across when dealing with collision centers. Ms. Tamara was so friendly, professional & empathetic. My vehicle looks new thanks to their work, and they even had the exterior of the vehicle clean for presentation. I love this place, service is amazing. I love That service 1st allows you to ride one of their cars while they are fixing yours if it s going to be a few days. The waiting area is clean, with coffee, tea, and snacks while you wait.Once you come in you are greeted by MS. Tamara. She makes you feel like family after your car gets expected Ms.Tamara will go over the details with you about your car and pricing. The service guys, work fast and carful to make sure your car is done right. The oil changes are very reasonable, This place out beats any Jiffy loop, tire plus, Firestone ect. If you want good quality and a service place that feels like HOME this is it. Ask them about there key drop off box, car Towing, and car drop off, they also wash cars and oil changes... I will be there next weekend for a tune up, come on and get service with me. Tell them IVORY SENT YOU! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE. I m just a happy customer, trying to get you to experience the SERVICE 1st experience.

I was never able to reach them despite calling them 3 times. No one answers the phone. I gave them 2 stars because they have a voice mail. I left them a message and still never received a return call back. I called right after there start time 8:00 am so I was surprised that even at that time no one answers the phone. That is poor customer service. Update: a friend recommend I go for repairs. The price was reasonable and the staff is friendly. The parking is limited though but it's free. My only gripe was they don't answer the phone and I just went without an appointment. Beyond that minor snafu the place is okay and has been here for over 5 years, but it hit or miss with their repairs.

A neighborhood auto shop. The lady behind the counter is very sweet and helpful! The mechanics are knowledgeable and they are NOT after your money. Say you need time to save the money for a repair, they will explain how to keep your car afloat until you come back. No pressure to perform any unnecessary work or pay ridiculous amounts of money. Great place, great people :)

I moved 2 Fl but I still refer people 2 Service 1st. Here's why. My son was n Ga & had car problems with his BMW. Their mechanics didn't work on BMW's but they knew a mechanic who did. They're so genuinely helpful. And resently I had 2 take my car n 4 repairs. But b4 I let the Fl mechanics work on my car Service 1st mechanics willingly would go over the repair details with me. The staff is very honest & reliable and the waiting area & restrooms r clean.

i will never use this place again they charge $1500 for headlight then put a $188 headlight. the light not even work when the car driving. they have my car for over a month.Service: Auto body & trim repairService: Auto body & trim repair

They are very nice people but they were going to charge me the top labor price for the problem that I had. Everyone is not in a situation where they can work with you or understand what you are going through but they are a black business and I wanted to support that but I m a black woman and I felt like we are to support one another... I had to go with a cheaper option even though I would have rather done my car here at first.

(2004 Acura RL) Was the only place I took my car receptionist is cool but it took too long to get my car last time ( short staffed). When I picked it up the same day it started smoking and hasn't stopped. Unfortunately I don't trust to take it back anymore. I was charged 1600 for front and back breaks and front and back struts. They gave me 5000 dollars worth of recommendations. I just can't afford to take my car there anymore. Started good but ended not so good. This is Just my experience.

Reviews are so important for business this company exceeded my expectations. My car suffered total front end damage and damage to the driver door and suspension. The work took 2 weeks but I got my car (Vanity) back looking brand new I'm very satisfied.

My go to shop for all my Toyota's ! Dealer quoted me $3600 to replace the OD2 port in my Prius. Service 1st quoted me $460 to replace it. Went to pick it up and pay the bill and it was only $250 they said it was only a broken pin. Very honest and quality work, They could have took advantage but didn't. They have me as a customer 4 life!!!

I have had several cars maintained by Kevin and his technicians and they are the best. I recently purchased a Acura TL from Kevin and have yet again entrusted this to car to him as well. They are factory trained, knowledgeable and fair. They only sell you what you need and make sure you are aware of every service needed and when its needed to keep your car on the road. It is a small shop, but the customer service is great and the work is quality and consistent. There is collision repair available as well.

Do not, I repeat, do not use this company. They are extremely slow and the lack of communication horrible. Take your car in for one thing, they will fix everything else but what you originally took your car in to be repaired. I love my MECHANIC Kevin... he does such a great job!!! I Just got a new Lexus for Christmas and prior to buying my LS460 asked him to do a pre check and took it in today for my 1st Service and WOW was I pleased with the Service and The PRICE... Thank You Kevin and Tamara for always treating me like I m #1.... THEY Are THE BEST!!!!

Go get your car and find another shop. My car has been there for four week waiting to be fixed. Promised several times that my car should be ready by friday but it wasn't. I decide to go to the shop to check on my car to find out that the entire driver side door has been damaged. They say it happened on a Saturday but i come up there to find out on a Tuesday. They say their going to fix it but the car is just parked in the back corner outside as if its not important. I have no clue how long it'll take now. It took a month for the front bumper, imagine how long for a new door. Save your time and money and find another shopServices: Painting, Body & Trim

I have a 95 Honda and although my car is old. It was serviced with the same professionalism and detailed care that you would expect on a new car. Kevin explained everything needed and why. The service was A1 and so was the price. I will bring my car here for all repairs and services in the future!

I hadn't even had the chance to get work done here. It started when i called for a quote. The person at the front desk is the initial face/voice of the company and when I call any company I expect kind, courteous and accurate information. I called on a Monday be for 12. I asked about a SPECIFIC part and the girl was not taking the time to listen. She kept saying how WE (service 1st) do not diagnose over the phone which . Is definitely understood. So I ask again trying to be as specific as possible. The girl on the other end went on about diagnosing over the phone and asked me what part I was looking for.... the same part as in the beginning of the call. Her tone was not helpful and she says I'm sorry we can't help you here. I am in the neighborhood so i went up there to show the emissions paper to help clarify what I thought was already clear and get the quote as I was ready to get it fixed the same dayI see the garage and ask a mechanic whom by the way was helpful and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what I was talking about before I showed him the paper. I walked in the office to let her know to take a little time and have a little patience and she too would have heard what I was asking. I left due to her bad attitude. About 15 minutes later my phone starts alerting me I have texts and i start reading and they are from the office girl at service first defending her actions and how I wasn't woman enough to confront her and few other comments about her being a female and knowing cars. I couldn't believe that she went back through call logs and called a customer back to attempt to correct them. She was extremely rude, used private information to call me and tried to degrade me as a woman for not confronting her. I just needed some work done and would have appreciated some professionalism to assist me with the correct information. I reached out to a manager and am not sure how this matter was handled. It's unfortunate that this happened as I am a loyal and paying customer when great customer service is a priority.
