Was an easy great experience. Jason was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. The whole process from setting up test drive, to purchasing was a good experience. A few days after purchase had a light come on in car and I called to get checked and was taken care of quickly. This is the second car we have bought from Carmax and will probably buy from them again.

This place is worth going to for a vehicle, I worked with a rep named DJ and he was a big help. Got me in and out pretty fast and helped me find the suv I wanted and didn't try to sell or push add ons or upgrade I didn't need. He just asked and informed me of what there was and printed me out some paperwork with and with out a few things and let me go with a 24 hours test drive. I came back an got my new vehicle and it didn't take long to get the paperwork finished and back out the door with the rest of my day with my new suv.Go in an check them out and ask for DJ

My experience was amazing Lashelle is the most helpful and kind person to work with! She goes above a beyond to help you get what you want and need to make sure you are happy.I had a lot of hoops to jump through to purchase my new car and she was understanding and patient and helped me every single way!

I can not get anyone from the service department on the phone, I ve called numerous times and left messages. I just bought the car and multiple lights have come on on the dash and the 4,000 mile warranty is almost up. I scheduled appointment two weeks ago after calling for a week straight to get through, no one called me back, I had to contact a manager. Now the day of my service no appointment reminder or any confirmation of my appointment and no one is answering the phone again shocker! I called a different store and they answered their phones just fine, do not recommend this location.

I can't say enough good things about this place and how wonderful everyone is.I had an issue with my vehicle which I purchased here last year, (which by the way has been running like a champ since), in any case yesterday while driving I heard a loud noise towards the front of the engine which opted me to call them immediately so I could bring it in to get checked out. They were able to squeeze me in for the next day at 8am. We were taken care of by ERIK who was working the service desk today. He was knowledgeable, kind, honest and treated us with such great care. Honestly, It was almost shocking that people still exist whom are willing to go the extra mile for people and who treat people with care and understanding. My vehicle was also fixed the same morning! And I am just so thankful! Yes, super excited it was a minor repair/ easy BUT most of all, I am humbled and super thankful I purchased our vehicle here! Kindness goes a long way and when you pair it with outstanding customer service its a MAJOR factor as to why you are in business. People like ERIK and his team at service are a great asset to your company and the main reason why I felt compelled to write this review. I am forever grateful/ thankful!! Pizza is on me today guys Enjoy!!

Fast and friendly service. I was pretty nervous about shopping for a new a car and the pressures that com from that; but Kern made it simple, fast and answered questions I had in a transparent and easy to understand manner.Including the time arriving at the dealership, shopping around the lot, taking a test drive and doing associated paperwork I was in-n-out in three hours. Way faster than other car buying experiences I had.

I highly recommend using Camille Humes as your sales consultant if you plan on going to the 1977 Thornton Road location. The most efficient, transparent, pleasant car buying experience by her will definitely use Carmax again! Special thanks to Camille who communicated clearly and regularly to make this purchase a breeze! Highly recommend.

We went in to do a 24 hour test drive. DJ was super impressive and straight to the point honestly guy. We went in the next day and purchased the car. We were in and out in 45 minutes. They vacuumed and waxed the car before we left. Amazing customer service and staff.

What wonderful experience! I sold a car to CarMax and Bought a New Car for my wife . . . A 2020 Jaguar F-Pace! We love this car! Nice and clean with lots of features. We had the car shipped to the Lithia Springs location from Virginia. The transfer, transaction, and the overall service was so smooth and the quality of the Car is Excellent!

The vehicle had issues when I purchased it and I am told the earliest appointment to get it in is in 2 weeks (unacceptable). First there was a terrible mildew smell inside, which became unbearable so I paid $80 for an odor treatment as mildew is an health hazard. Carmax is saying I won t be reimbursed for this. The truck shakes badly at high speeds, the online photos showed a bed liner and rain guards but they were missing at time of the purchase and now they have to order me replacements. They should ve never sold a vehicle in this condition and it should ve been a priority to fix these issues immediately not make me wait 2 weeks. I am seriously considering returning the truck and going elsewhere.

I recently purchased a vehicle from CarMax, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of my expectations. As a loyal Jaguar customer for over 15 years, I've come to appreciate exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and a personalized experience, which I regrettably did not find at CarMax.Firstly, the process of purchasing a vehicle from out of state with CarMax seemed promising, with notifications keeping me updated on the vehicle's journey. However, upon the car's arrival, I encountered numerous disappointments. The initial delay in test driving due to a dysfunctional car wash area was frustrating, and the lack of proactive solutions from the was disheartening. Unlike my experiences with Jaguar, where any inconvenience was swiftly addressed with care and consideration, CarMax's approach felt impersonal and indifferent.Furthermore, the condition of the vehicle upon delivery did not meet my expectations. Unlike the pristine state in which Jaguar always presented the vehicles I had purchased at their delearship in the past, the interior of the CarMax vehicle was not fully cleaned, which was surprising and disappointing.Most concerning, however, was the discovery of a significant issue with the brakes merely two weeks after purchase. Having to pay $510 for repairs so soon after acquiring the vehicle was both unexpected and frustrating, especially considering it should have been addressed prior to sale.In summary, while I appreciated the convenience of purchasing from CarMax and the quality of the vehicle itself, the overall experience fell short of the standards I am accustomed to with purchasing Jaguars at the Jaguar dealership. The impersonal manner of the employees, lack of attention to detail in vehicle preparation, and unexpected repair costs have left me disillusioned. As a result, I do not intend to purchase another vehicle from CarMax and would not recommend their services to others, especially those who value exemplary customer service and attention to detail, qualities that I have consistently found at Jaguar dealerships.I give two stars instead of one because my sales person had a great personality.

I used to be such a huge fan of CarMax. I've purchased four cars through them in three different states. I've noticed a consistent decline in service, but this last purchase was honestly just bad from start to finish.Most of the employees that I dealt with were incompetent and unapologetic. It's not worth getting into specifics, but I was given misinformation or conflicting information by almost everyone I spoke to and most all of the people that I interacted with ranged from totally indifferent to outright rude.I made an appointment for my initial test drive and wasn't seen by a salesperson for almost 45 minutes after my appointment time. When I came a few days later to do my "Express" pickup, I was in the office for over 5 hours and almost in tears of frustration. There wasn't even an issue, just REALLY poor communication by a few of the people involved.The icing on the cake - I requested a service appointment at the time of purchase to repair a noticeable scratch in the door. I called to change my appointment date when I realized I wouldn't be able to make the initial appointment. I was given a new day/ time over the phone. I live 45 minutes from the store and when I arrived for my new appointment, they still had me in my system for the original day and time which had elapsed by two weeks. But I didn't expect anything else after what a miserable experience I had all around.I gave a two stars because the trade-in process was fairly easy and I feel that I was offered more than a fair price for the vehicle I was trading in. I'd sell another car to CarMax, but I will really hesitate to purchase from them again and certainly never from this location.

The buying process was good. The exchange of information could have been better. The dealer was 90 miles from home, we were told (it was insinuated) that once our financing was approved, we could get the car. We drove down and waited in the showroom for over an hour just to get to see the vehicle. We were finally allowed to view the car after dark and were told that we would have to get a physical check from our financier - this another 90 mile trek to take a check. Once we got the check, the rest of the process was smooth - until I got the car home and got to go over it in the daylight. Cracked windshield that I missed in the dark. To their benefit, CarMax allowed me to get the windshield serviced at a dealer much closer to home. Actually, the closer dealer is sending Safelight to do the repair at my home - kudos!

Sterling assisted me with the sell of my car. Everything went great! I was selling my car before moving overseas for a federal government job and I have a temporary driver s license from the state of Alabama. At first he was unable to verify my license. However, I was able to provide my passport as verification/another form of identification. Then the sell of my car was able to go through. The process took a little longer than I was told it would take but I did receive the amount that was quoted online, which I am very happy with. I also provided me a free Lyft ride back to my hotel. Great experience!!!

I had a great experience selling my car. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I submitted most of the paperwork online so I was in and out of CarMax in a half hour, check in hand. Will definitely return!

Carmax always does a great job, this was my 2ed time buying a car from them! This time I did a rapid pickup I found a car I loved on the website and held it until I could purchase it and I was literally in and out in maybe 45 mins with my new car. It did not take long at all highly recommend the rapid pickup everything is done over the phone so all you do when you go in is sign and give down payment if you have one and your good to go basically. Super simple. Everyone was very nice and professional as well!

It is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Quick responses, and they stay true to their words. The salesmen are extremely helpful and the financial department is as well. You're not sitting in there for hours once you've been approved. It took me an hour because I did everything online. Went up to the dealership after I selected the vehicle I was approved delivered to the closest Carmax store, test drove the SUV, and finalized everything inside the store with the Business department. They washed and cleaned out my new SUV and gave me my paperwork, and sent me on my way with my new ride.

The sales guy was really sweet and helpful. However, the car I drove away in had a nail in the tire. It was flat when we got to the lot so the girl drove it around back to fill it for the test drive. We told the sales guy it was way too flat to drive on and it would destroy it. On my drive home with my "new" car, my tire went flat. I had to go back and forth with the rude manager Dwayne I think his name was. Luckily the lady and Keith took over the conversation. It took 3 days for a tire to come in so I could not drive the car. Then when we were looking around at the car the car was so filthy (trash under the seat, Cheetos, and dog vomit) We sent them photos and they agreed that we could have it cleaned (another day without driving my car). The back of the car had deep scratches where they scraped off the old dealer sticker. It was a horrible ordeal! I have always bought my cars from Carmax but this will definitely be my last time if they do not improve.

The experience was quick and efficient, exactly how I prefer car buying. The vehicle was transferred timely, I was able to test drive the vehicle soon after, and the entire car buying process from arrival to driving off in my new car was effortless. Darnell and the other staff I interacted with were top notch.

This was my first CarMax purchase, but it won't be my last! The process was smooth and easy. We had to have the car shipped from Illinois to Georgia, and CarMax kept us informed every step of the way. As we waitied and talked to people about what we were doing, we heard over and over, "I bought my last three vehicles through CarMax," or "Every new car I bought on my own came from CarMax." The impeccable reputation gave us great confidence. I never thought purchasing a pre-owned vehicle could be this easy. Highly recommend doing business with them.

I have had nothing but problems with them from the start. To start with the first vehicle did not have the features that the website said it did so I swapped it out for another one, this vehicle has issues that need fixed that have had talked to them about and they said we will have some reach out to you about making an appointment to drop the vehicle off with us so we can take care of the issues and I have not heard anything from them. On top of that they messed up the paperwork and I had to drive over an hour back up there and spend 3 hours up there to fix it. I will never buy from CarMax again. This is the second time I have bought a vehicle from there and both times nothing but problems. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I'm a big fan. This is my family's third car from CarMax, and they continue to exceed in every facet of the experience. I went to more than a dozen competitors before stopping in - I just wanted to see if anyone could compare - but no one came close. From the first moment I came in, all the way through until I picked up my wheels, my sales rep was top notch: knowledgeable, responsive, and patient. Betsy (and CarMax) are really the best!

Although I was initially reluctant to go through the car buying process because of past experiences. she was patient knowledgeable and diligent in her work. Service department is very kind and helpful, especially Eric and Michael. I brought my car in for an issue that was still covered under the 90 day window today (a pretty simple fix), and they arranged transportation to and from so I could go to work instead of waiting. Unfortunately the return ride was booked incorrectly. When I realized this, I tried to reach them 5 times and kept being transferred to the business office, as time was ticking because I had to be there by a certain time to ensure I could pick my kid up from school in time. The staff I spoke to in the business office didn t seem to understand or care the urgency and just sent me to voicemail. They also told me that they couldn t guarantee reimbursement for my ride if I had to book it myself. After 20 minutes of being transferred around, I ended up having to book my ride on my dime. By the time I got to Carmax, I was frazzled and frustrated fighting the clock. Fortunately Michael and Eric were extremely kind and apologized as they did not receive the messages in a timely manner and immediately worked on getting my return ride refunded. Overall I highly recommend Carmax and have generally had great interactions, but there is a disconnect between the people who answered the phones today and the other departments, and some sort of triage/understanding of urgency needs to be communicated to that team to make sure situations like that don t arise.
