I just moved from CA to GA and Speed Auto Repair was my first auto shop in Georgia. I personally don t like going to different places and I like establishing a relationship with one auto shop and I found my place. From customer service to speed and not to mention great skills, this place is on point. Highly recommend it!!!

Bad Mechanic Shop:I took my car to Speed Auto Repair - Lawrenceville 11/10/23 for a coolant leak. They diagnosed my car...I approved them fix it....upon picking up my car 11/28/23, paid them the entire balance ($862.95) just to see that my coolant was still leaking.Got my car back 11/30/23 (2 days later) to them to fix the original problem now they charging me an additional $2,182.54 to fix my coolant leak.Someone please help me understand ...how is it I take my car to get fixed...pay for a service...than get told it's additional money to fix the same exact problem?By the way...I spoke to the owner of the shop and he refused to help me.

We were dissatisfied at the fact that we were only told about the front right strut being broke....After the work was done, y'all wanted to tell us that the other struts were going bad.If y'all did a full diagnostic sweep of the car then y'all should have told us everything that was wrong with my fianc�s car and gave us a quote initial instead of waiting till the work was done.Seems like y'all wanted to charge us a labor fee twice when you could have done it all at once and gave us a discount from what we were told after then fact.Very displeased!

Brought a vehicle here for a oil change, and a few maintenance items. Overall it was an amazing experience. I was informed of issues that I currently had going on with my car and things I need to address in the future nothing was forced on to me or crammed down my throat. Will certainly be back for other things.

Wish I could leave negative stars. Took my Lexus in to change my front tires. They asked if I wanted my coolant flushed. I said no thanks because I didn t have time for it. They decided to open my radiator cap anyways without me wanting them to. Turns out the genius that opened the cap didn t close it back properly. All my radiator fluid slowly spewed out over the span of two weeks without me knowing. We found out when my car over heated and broke down at 65 mph on the freeway with my pregnant wife in the car. Not only was it dangerous but it also ruined my whole engine. We took it to Lexus and they said there was no cracks/leaks in the radiator. And it was because someone didn t close my coolant cap properly. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

I went there on the 18rh March for an oil change and asked to check my front brakes due to a grinding noise I heard.After they were finished with oil change I asked about the brakes Jeff Burns said the brake pads and rotors were good.Driving my truck 20th March two later I hear grinding noise pads are worn to metal and trying to stop you grinding metal on metal.Because they didnt.braked properly I will need a new rotor.Needless to say I will not go to this company ever.

Just came in for an oil change with a coupon and the staff was really nice. They were able to tell me all the problems with my car with photo evidence. Will definitely be back if I m in this area

Looks like Google took down my review, not sure why!!! These people are riding on the last owners good name when they literally just bought him out a year ago!!! SHAME ON YOU GOOGLE!!!Do not go here!!! When the old owners had it,I brought every car we had here to them to fix. After they sold to these shisters, I went to get a quote to get my lift kit took off the truck I bought a few months back, how about $400 dam dollars!!! For something that would literally take them less than an hour to take off? My uncle took his truck up there and it sat on the lot in the same place for two days. We called and asked what the problem was because it had been sitting for two days, they didn't like that we said that. Told him it would be almost 3K for the parts and labor, we ended up finding the part for $200 instead of the 1800 they wanted to charge! We went to pick up the truck and they charged $140 just for the guy to look at it and guess it needed replacing! The man never took that first bolt off to see what was wrong. That same man said that one of the wheels wasn't moving, we literally drove it up there! Obviously he doesn't know what hes talking about, we drove it home too, all wheels turned just fine. We paid them because they won't let you have your vehicle back till you pay their outrageous fee for literally doing nothing! We got the truck home and the hood was sitting wrong so we opened it and saw that they unbolted the latch assembly. First off their was no reason for them to be in the engine so why was that unbolted? Either they were taking parts or they were mad because we wouldn't let them work on it and retaliated! This is not a family owned business anymore, don't be fooled! I'll NEVER go there again...

This is one of The BEST auto repair shops in the Lawrenceville area. As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for by Keith. The owner Chuck was very knowledgeable about the troubles I was having with my van and made sure I understood every detail. The prices are more than fair and I will definitely come back for any repairs I may need in the future. Thank you again guys for your amazing hard work and customer service.

Was not a good experience at all! This is my second negative experience here. The person who changed my oil did a terrible job! He reset my oil life to 6,000 miles then wrote 5,000 miles on my sticker. Then he put the new sticker on top of the sticker in stead of taking the old one down. He had to ask his manager if my air filter needed to be changed then they didnt even have it in stock, then why are you asking me if I want to change it???? Terrible experience! Not too mention the grease stains he left on the inside of my car!

Went for a battery change just to figure out they messed up the module to my car my car was working perfectly fine before they switched out my battery now they won t fix it

Superb treatment! I came in for an oil and air filter change and everything went very smoothly. Keith is very huge on customer service and satisfaction and it showed! I was offered refreshments, snacks, etc. I know that is little but the little things count too. Gave me a great price on today s service and also an excellent quote on a tune up. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. Stay away from this place. I took my wife's car to Speed Auto Repair on Lawrenceville Hwy. We dropped the car off on a Monday evening. I told them if they could not diagnose the car in 3 hours to not go over that. A verbal agreement was made between myself and Keith. They called me on Wednesday and told me that the distributor box needed to be replace and the ECU, that is what Keith told me on the phone. I went down to see Keith on Wednesday after getting off from work to get clarification on my vehicle. The mechanic that was suppose to be working on my car was very rude and disrespectful. I ignored it and continued to ask questions. The mechanic told me that I only needed a Distributor and not an ECU. I told the mechanic that Keith said i needed both. The mechanic assured me it was only the distributor box only. Keith told me the parts would be in on Thursday, but the parts never came. Keith told me the mechanic had to go to Hiram to get the part and assured me the part will be there. I go the next day when I got off and was told the part still has not arrived. So this morning around 10:15am Keith calls me to tell me the my wife's car is done. My wife and I go to pick up the car and nothing was done. WE paid over $800 for diagnostics only. Keith was very rude and disrespectful. As a place of business being rude to customers is highly unacceptable. Keith told me in a rude tone "well you can fix it yourself." This place is very unprofessional and does not treat customers well who has questions. I even asked to get the number to corporate and they told me there is no corporate. Keith called me a liar in my face after I reiterated what he told me over the phone about the parts. Then I became upset when he said he never told me those things. I knew then I should have taken my car then, but I trusted his words and honesty because they told me they were 96% sure it was the distributor box. I placed a piece of electrical tape on the fuse box to see if they would really look at, but the tape was still intact. The mechanic was nowhere to be found, coincidence I think not. I was told the voltage was low, but on the receipt, it states the distribution is good. AGAIN STAY AWAY THIS PLACE IS A TOXIC.Service: General repairs & maintenance

When I called asking if my car would start and get me to their repair shop would they be able to look at it, they said Come on! I asked for an estimate and it was $300.-$500. When they looked at my vehicle promptly they said the problem wasn t what I thought and it would be a little over $200. I happily said go for it. They came back again and said they found the problem and it would only be a $44. Fix!! I couldn t believe it! At any point they could have been dishonest but chose integrity the entire time. Since the new owners took over, the service has suffered. I was told things were wrong with my vehicle that weren't true , when I got a second opinion. I was told I needed new motor mounts and control arms, when all I needed was a free replacement knock sensor from the Kia dealership. I was also told I'd been better off selling the car with all its problems.Almost a 1000 miles later, I still have that car- and still don't need motor mounts or control arms.;)

I've got to be honest, I really didn't expect much the first time I drove in about 5 years ago for a simple oil change. It's a basic 3 bay garage that looks as though years ago it was one of those franchise oil change places that closed and someone took over and converted it. BOY was I wrong, the service is outstanding, no frills no pushy sales selling you a whole AC system when all you need is a shot of Freon. They are courteous humble hardworking men who know their trade and value repeat customers. It's so hard to find mechanics who aren't hell bent on ripping you off, or take costly "shots in the dark" trying to fix your vehicle only to drive it home after spending $$$ and still no solution. Not here, they take time to diagnose and advise you on what you need.Update: this business has been sold, the Lassiter family no longer run it. What a shame, I trusted them for years. The new place is typical corporate America, high prices, pushy up sales. I came in with a spark plug misfiring, a simple fix, change out the plug, instead I was told there would be a $250.00 diagnostic charge! I have found another place to take my truck.

Speed Auto Repair is the best! I just purchased my 2021 Nissan Altima 4 months ago and considered taking it to the dealership for an oil change. I am so glad that I decided to go with Speed Auto Repair in Lawrenceville instead! I saved money and also received quality service. As a plus, they are also conveniently open until 6 pm so I was able to get my car serviced after work. I was in and out with no problem. Keith and the technician who performed my oil change also made sure I was informed throughout the whole process and thoroughly explained to me what was going on with my vehicle. Also, just like the dealership they update the public maintenance records of your car! Overall I had a great experience and was even sent home with goodies and snacks. dropped off my car perfectly fine. I was given back my key broken, and taped. I didn t realize they broke it as nobody told me, which should have been the first thing that was done. I cranked my car and my key broke in the ignition. I went back inside the facility to ask why nobody told me that my key broke during my oil change, and who was going to fix it. The man at the front named Keith went on to deny that my key was broken here, and tried to convince me it was of my own doing. My visit went very well up until this point. They did not provide me with any compensation for breaking my perfectly fine key. Luckily, one of the nice workers glued my key back together for me, although I don t know how long it will hold. This was my first time here and I will not be returning again.

Always try their best to make things less costly since we really struggle to afford car repairs. Very nice people and great service if you have to leave your car for more than a couple hours or overnight.

This is an existing business under new ownership. They are super friendly people. They kept the price the same for my oil change which was a win! They do an amazing multipoint inspection with pictures as part of the oil change. The manager Elyse is super nice and knows what she is talking about. They offer complimentary refreshments and are expanding to add two more bays. We will back when we need to for additional care services.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

The whole speed auto repair team was great to work with! I was very frustrated with a tire light continually coming on. I would put air in all the tires, then the light would turn off, and within 5-10 miles it would come back on. I went to Pep Boys and they temporally got it turn off (which I myself am able to do) and there it was back on the very same day. Its so aggravating to go somewhere and try to explain the issue and everything you ve done prior only to leave with the same issue. This was not the case at all with Speed Auto Repair in Lawrenceville!! They actually listened thoroughly to all that we had tried so far, and I wish I would ve asked the guys name of who helped me, but I recall he had a spiderweb tattoo on his upper arm! He was able to do the correct reset based on my car type to get it to finally reset properly and not just temporarily. I will certainly return to have other work there done in the future and recommend others to give them a try! Thank you!

This was my first experience with Speed Auto Repair. Keith and Tim went above and beyond to help me with my repair issue. I was home recovering from surgery and couldn't drive for a few more days so they picked up my car, replace my battery, and returned my car to me!
