The struggle of finding a good machanic is a real thing in my area and I m really glad I came across this shop. My 2006 ford mustangs transmission blew after hitting over 260,000 miles and I needed someone to rebuild me a new one. I called around everywhere and everyone was charging over $4000 to work on my vehicle. This place offered me to do the job at $3300 and they did phenomenal. It did take over 2 months for the job to be done correctly but they did the job right and my mustang is running better then ever!

My mechanic dropped it off there for just to look at my transmission and they said $3340 for them they needed to rebuild my transmission. I go get it they say my gas gauge doesn't work truck was brought on empty. I hit my auto start button and it crank gas gauge working but my back 28in rims paint was scuffed bad bad. The owner Pedro cursed my wife so bad I was there 9am to see bout him and he apologized to my wife but they never paid the invoice of my rim being damaged. Transmission started messing up took it back he fixed it again why do you need to fix a brand new rebuilt transmission? Go to pick it up today and again my 28in rim is scratched again. I have to take it to drop it off to be fixed again. Ever since my truck has been there I've only had problems and the owner Pedro does not want to pay you for their mistakes. They are going to learn business and the customer takes pics of vehicles before brought. Pay my invoice and hopefully my truck is fixed if not we'll have a major problem because they are making so much money and aren't really fixing your transmissionService: Transmission

Horrible never go to this place for anything. I took a 99 volvo S80 with a slipping transmission. They rebuilt the transmission at $2,800 which was competitive. Though when I recieved the car back the steering wheel was crooked when driving straight down the road. The steering telescope function no longer worked. There was grease everywhere inside the car. The car went in with no dash lights on when I got it back the ABS, AIRBAG SRS, and CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. WE'RE ALL ON. This is just the beginning. Had to take the car back it threw a transmission service urgent on the dash read out, they had to take it back out. I will say they were trying to rectify the issue. But the main problem is the fact that from beginning to end it took almost 5 MONTHS THAT'S RIGHT 5 MONTHS. Car still isn't right its hard to start among other issues that weren't there when it was brought in. They also preformed services that weren't agreed upon before doing the work anyways. replacing CV axles was the main one which I had replaced just before they recieved the car. I had just put 800 dollars worth of OEM volvo axle parts. I will say this they did try to fix the issues but 5 months is entirely too long to wait for a vehicle to be repaired. Long story short never never will I go here again.UPDATE! 10/18/2023, 18,000 miles and the transmission is slipping again so of course it's no longer under warranty. Brought it in, it's solenoids they say and cost to fix another $1400. NEVER NEVER EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE! I expect to at least get 50000 miles out of a rebuilt transmission. Nope.

I took my car there for a transmission swap by the time I when to pick up the car the car was crashed on the driver side fender Suaso who was the mechanic who was fixing the car said that the car was like that when I took there and It was my word again his word so if you are going to take your car there make sure you take pictures because they won't let you see the cameras

Do not come here!!! You've been warned. They will rip you off for sure. The new owners are crooks to the core. My experience with this place has been terrible. I paid $3600 for them to repair my transmission, and I had to bring it back 4 times and count. I still have the same original issue, but now my check engine light is on. If I could do it over again, I would have gone somewhere else, definitely. It seems like they just tried to quickly fix it just to get paid. I'm taking time off of work just to have them "fix it" again. Run from here...

John is a great guy and very friendly and professional, a rarity in the auto repair business (or any business, for that matter, these days). Several years ago he repaired the transmission in my Buick, still going strong, and today I took him my Jeep which my wife said was having problems. We had previously taken it to the dealership and they wanted $1700 to replace parts that didn't need replacing - John checked it out completely and wouldn't even let me pay him for doing so. I will definitely take my cars to him for transmission work in the future. Thanks, John!Service: Transmission

No customer service at all.I step in the office (empty) workers walking in and out and nobody ask you how can help or even a "we will be right with you shortly ".Be ready to be one more piece of the outdated decoration.This guy missing the point

First off, I want to say how happy and overly pleased I am. I purchased a used vehicle a few months ago and it had soooo many issues. I decided to take my car to Mr. Transmission. Although it wasn't a transmission issue, they were able to inspect the car and fix each and every issue and concern I had. I must add, I drove from far away just to come to this location because my brother recommended it to me. Many other mechanics were telling me different things were wrong with my car. Here, Pedro was able to diagnose and review with me all the repairs that needed to be done. I now am driving my car and so overly satisfied with their work! To anyone who is reading this post. I am retired service member. I have traveled all over the world. By far this has to be the worst service that has ever been rendered to me. I paid $4000, for service to be done on my transliteration and my car has been returned 4 times, because the problem has not been addressed by this transmission place. Currently my vehicle is there now, and has been there for a month now. The owner Padrow has made a lot of promises, that is all lies. I discourage anyone to tale their car to this transmission place.Service: Transmission

Whatever you do please I beg you Sir, I beg you Ma'am, Do Not!!! I repeat, Do Not let your car stay in this shop for too long.My car was their approximately 2 months,My bill was over $3,000.00.Couldn't afford it. I got an title lone to get my car out.When I went to get my car, " TO MY SURPRISE!!! my vehicle was towed to an undisclosed location,and my vehicle was NOT on the property.Moreover, John said that's how they do business if you don't get your vehicle out within their timeframe due to the limited space at their established.So, Your not going to believe this......The next day, they had my vehicle at the establishment. I needed my title to complete the loan. Looked in the glove compartment. "No Title ". So, I had to go to the Department of Revenue to get a copy of my title. Well, well,well....TO MY SURPRISE!!!!! the owner of Mr Transmission officially filed a Abandonment Lean against my vehicle.Therefore, I was not able to get a copy of my title until the abandonment is removed from the Tag and Title Revenue Office.John,, is not the owner, he's only is the Nice soft spoken guy with the good old country twine, that's has no idea what the owner is up to.Respectfully,Be wise,Make the right choice people...

I brought my car in on 9/4/21 for transmission service, I called every week and never had a answer to what it would cost. So on the 22 of September, My husband got a speeding ticket and he was four hours away from Lawrenceville, so I called Mr. Transmission and they had no idea that one of the employees was using my car for personal uses, It was dirty , like my car had been in a field and my granddaughter Nike slides was missing. He had been driving like 45 miles. Please don t take your car to this place. It need to close or people need to protest that business. I was so disappointed in the manager.Service: Transmission

Very bad experience with Mr transmission in Lawrenceville on Pike street. I took them 2007 BMW X5 I just wanted to get my filter and my fluid changed turns out he ends up telling me I need my transmission rebuilt for $4,600 I tell him I do not want to pay $4,600 for a rebuilt transmission I will buy my own he tells me okay I buy $1,200 transmission send it up there and after they had my car over a month he tells me they cannot program a BMW transmission which is something that he should have said to me at the beginning of our conversation instead of a month later a month later I still do not have my vehicle and I'm going back and forth with their corporate management. The manager on duty his name was John at first he told me he would get me a rental car if they didn't have my car done in 2 weeks 3 weeks later no rental car over a month later still no rental car or even my vehicle choose a new spot.

They did fix my transmission, but they pack the cars in so tightly into the parking lot that I got my car back with a big chip in the paint that wasn't there before. They fixed the actual transmission, but didn't fix the transmission fluid leak that was causing the transmission problem in the first place so over time the same problem would come back.Service: Transmission

It was abit out if tge way but my family car required special diagnostics and part replacement. The job toke an hour but it would've been 5 if they had check to make sure they add every thing now we have to go back next week for a piece to be delivered so they can fix the problem.

Initially, I wasn't too confident in having a good or great experience. But John was very professional and cordial. I brought my 2003 Chevrolet suburban in for suspected transmissions issues, but found it was actually a bad fuel pump.

The work seems to be ok, but the communication from back of house to front of house is severly lacking. The guy at front told me the transmission work would be done in 2-3 days. Over a week later after communicating almost every day, he tells me it will be done by the end of the day, including replacing a broken window. When I arrive, I hear an argument to the effect of the guy in the back wasn't planning on finishing today... he did rush to get the window replaced and finished just a little after closing time. I would have really appreciated an honest answer to how long the work would take. They also don't wear mask which is to show how much the "care" about the customer.Service: Transmission

I left my truck there to see why my miles left before empty gauge is going down 20 miles in 2 minutes when I barely moved. 8:45 am the next day I called and Jon said they re looking at right now. Another hour goes by they re still looking at it. I finally get there at 12:00 and the guy who was looking at it just walked in the door and told me he was sick but just got to the shop.When they guy finally looked at it, it took 5 minutes to explain the issue.Jon was caught in a lie about someone looking at my truck. Do not go here for transmission services. The mechanic cannot be trusted. They expected me to allow them to pull out my transmission but could not provide a legitimate reason or cost. I picked up my car today and the head mechanic cussed at me and he smelled of alcohol! Do not go here they just want to take your money! Do not believe their 3.8 rating it's bogus probably the mechanics friends and family. I am telling you all that John and his mechanics are scammers! Go to the BBB site and leave a review. This is the only way that we can protect ourselves from these scammers!Service: Transmission

Great place to get tires.. definitely not a good place to have you car repaired. 1 star is truly all they deserve because after having my car repaired here I had to spend an additional $2100 to fix their work.

Had transmission rebuilt there!6 months later had to get a new one put in for a couple hundred more. There a complete rip off! The the mechanic apprentice does all the work They just told me something was wrong and when I brought it back then they said something else is wrong and when I called him out he said he didn t know because he didn t do the workAlso they will park your car at an apartment complex so lock your tools they are thievs
