My 2001 Dodge 3500 Ramp Truck lost its clutch driving from PA to Amelia Island for the Concours held each March. Luckily I was able to limp the truck into Kingsland, GA.The next morning the Dodge dealer I left it at couldn t work on the truck. Looking for a repair shop I called L&D Transmissions. What a great find, Ryan Wren the owner took care and started work right away. This truck is 9,700 lbs with an 18 ft wheel base. He has the lift, knowledge and customer focus to ensure he can make it right. After the car show on the island came back on Monday everything was fixed and I was able to load my car and head back to PA.

Ryan and his crew were amazing. We had an explorer with an issue and he had the transmission rebuilt and the vehicle back on the road in no time. Fair price, warranty and exceptional service. Would highly recommend this business.

Honest, trustworthy and fairly priced!I took my van in due to concerns with my transmission. Ryan and his team have helped me so much throughout the years. They ve rebuilt my transmission on my 2001 Chevy Silverado and helped me on the side with my own projects. Really good and reliable shop.

My 2004 Envoy would not shift into gear because my cable broke. I talked to Ryan who said it should be fixed in 2 days and it was less than that. The price was reasonable and great service. I also asked who he could recommend for towing. I called Kelly towing and they quick and so polite and informative.

Saved me thousands! Jeep dealer quotes me 3k to fix damage from a rodent. I sought a second opinion here and these awesome folks fixed it (ended up being 3 wires) while only charging me the diagnostic fee ($115).Can t say enough about how awesome they were to get me in and fix it in a day.

I have now taken two cars there for transmission work. The first I pulled the transmission and brought it to them for a bench rebuild. I reinstalled the transmission and brought it to them two weeks later for a checkup. They found a coolant line leak which they repaired while I waited. 3 years later and close to 100k miles the car is still doing good. So when my wifes car's transmission when out it was a no brainer who would do the work. Well this one didn't go a smoothly. They had the car two weeks the first time and rebuild the transmission. 4 days after picking it up, it started doing the same thing I brought it in for. Two weeks later they still couldn't find the root cause, but they stood by the warrantee and installed a GM remanufactured unit at no cost to me. In the end it took longer than I would have liked, and if my wife and I didn't both work from home and had a second vehicle it might have been a lot more frustrating, but in the end they made it right. Honest and reliable and I will be back if I ever need transmission work again.

First day of our vacation in our RV we experienced transmission problems. It was the beginning of a holiday weekend and nobody was open. On Tuesday morning I made many phone calls to transmission shops in the area and nobody was willing to look at an RV even though it is a Ford engine, transmission and chassis. RV service centers are booked out weeks or months.Until I was referred to L&D Transmission. I spoke with Ryan, the owner, and explained our situation. He told me to come into the shop that day and he would look at the RV that day to help get us back on the road and on to our vacation. Wow! Ryan went to work on diagnosing the problem immediately. We knew this was not going to be an easy fix because no codes were stored and the problem was intermittent. Ryan spent many hours on test drives with me to be able to experience the problem himself. When the problem would occur, the automatic transmission would get stuck in 3rd gear. Ryan swapped out parts, tested parts, inspected and tested all wiring external and internal to the transmission and continued to work towards finding the cause of the problem. He did not give up or try to sell us a new transmission, like other shops I had contacted said they would have done. Instead, he and his crew continued to work towards a solution and got us back on the road. This is a top-notch transmission shop where we were treated with respect and professionalism. We were treated very fair and were not sold something we did not need. I would rate L&D Transmission with 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend you call Ryan for any transmission issues. Thank you, L&D, for taking care of us. We appreciate your help more than you will ever know.

I can t say enough about the professional experience my son had with this company. He broke down while heading North and was recommended by AAA to this shop and we couldn t be happier. They went above and beyond to help my son not only fix his vehicle but take care of him while being by himself on this trip. They took him out to lunch and even drive him to a hotel and got him a room but also went back the next day to pick him up. I would recommend everyone to bring your car to him. Our rear axel split in half otw from Gainesville FL to Pennsylvania early in the trip. They got us going in 24hrs and for 1000 bucks. They completely went above and beyond understanding our circumstances. L&D has worked on my vehicle before and I was extremely impressed with the professional service I received. I had gone to two other shops in town and they quoted me higher prices along with charging me for the diagnostic test. L&D did not charge me for the testing since they worked on my vehicle. I was very happy with the work they did.This time they were just as professional as before. Went into the business to get a 2nd opinion and a gentleman by the name of Ryan was helpful. Left car and within a couple hours he had a diagnosis and by the morning-they are busy-he gave me a quote that was lower than what the first business stated. I ve decided to move on in another direction but if I ever have issues with transmissions in future I ll definitely use this business.

We were traveling and our engine light came on and we tried one other shop and called multiple others before we found L&D to help. They were very helpful and kind and made us feel at ease about continuing our trip. These guys are awesome. Was having trouble starting up car after my deployment and instead of getting a tow truck they drove to me within 10 minutes to check it out. They were able to get it to start and find out I had a bad battery and helped me get a new one. Saved me a ton of money and time as well!Service: BatteryService: Battery

last place i would recommend anyone going to for any type of automotive a/c repair. bought my car there for a leak in system, even showed them where it was leaking from. for starters, after about an hour wait for my appointment, turns out the lift they would use for my (low) car was broke. they didnt even have a low rise jack..so i had to go home and get my jack and bring it to them to use. now i wait another hour or so until they try and get my car on their lift. that took them about 30 min.Long story short...they actually worked on my car no more than 45 min to inform me i have an a/c leak! Oh and guess where? it was where i told them it was. so after about 4 hours of my being there, all of which only about 30 min was work on my car, i'm charged $185.00...to verify i had an a/c leak where i told them i had a leak.I'm then told that to really repair the car it would cost me another $700.00, $500 dollars which would be about the amount in labor (which they told me was about a 4 hour job).Here's the good part...I got the part myself that i thought needed replacing. Installed it myself in about 20 min (which included taking the old part off), vacumned and recharged my a/c system...which now works fine.Again, worst place I could have chosen for a/c leak repair. Not even sure how much credence i would put into their ability to repair transmissions as there was literally 30 or more cars on their "lot", IDK maybe waiting for parts for all of them??!!Nice folks for sure, but i was interested in getting my car repaired, not social time or being charged $185.00 for zero results.Service: Air conditioning

My transmission blew up on me on I95 going from Philly PA to vero beach FL and the tow truck driver recommended this shop and I am glad he did. I didnt get towed in until like 2pm on Friday, with the knowledge they would MAYBE be able to look at it. To be fair, its Friday and they are closed weekends. At first I was told Wednesday, fair enough the world doesn't revolve around me. I was stressed because I start my new job on that Monday. After talking with Chris and Ryan and telling them my situation, they bumped me to the front of the line and tried to get the transmission done the same day. They worked till 630, mind you they close at 5. They only stopped because a piece of my transmission broke and they needed drill bits from the store. Ryan stored my ubaul trailer for me, drove me to get dinner, drove me to the grocery store for dog food for my dog, then to the hotel. Then he woke up at 630am on Saturday (they are closed on weekends) to finish. Of course the drill bits broke and Ryan moved mountains to continue helping me. He ended up driving over an hour to get the part, lord only knows how many places he called, then drive back, finished my transmission on Saturday to get me back on the road. These guys are truly salt of the earth and this planet would be better with more people like these guys. I have NEVER met a stranger before and they take care of you like family until yesterday. I thank my lucky stars the tow truck driver recommended this shop. I am forever indebted to these guys. Hand to the Bible, best shop I have been too. They made a horrible situation so much better. Everyone might see my family or friends posting also because I told everyone about this. I hope I run into Ryan or Chris again in life just to shake their hands again and say thank you again. I hope great things come back to them.Service: Transmission

We are traveling from Pennsylvania to Florida. 1 out of 3 of the vehicles started acting up so we stopped here by chance. Not only were they super friendly but they squeezed us in within 15 minutes. Turns out the tramission was 2 quarts low. He added fluid and didn't even charge us!!!! I will never forget the kindness of everyone single one of them!!You all are truly amazing

We had an issue with our van while traveling from Florida to Massachusetts. He took us in right away, looked everything over, told us what was wrong, and gave us peace of mind for the rest of our trip. We are SO grateful!
