Mr. Robertson is the best technician/mechanic in the country. That guy knows what he's doing. As well as the great labor prices he has.

Where do I begin? I took my vehicle in on 11/4. I had it towed there due to what we thought was a faulty fuel pump. I was advised the cost would be $610 and I could pick the vehicle up the next day. The next day turned into four weeks of them not being responsive to my calls and not being able to fix the vehicle. However, I thought the owner was fair by advising that he wouldn't charge me for the labor, just the fuel pump because they couldn't get any power to it. Needless to say, my dad passed away and I was out of town twice for his funeral and arrangements. I didn't get one call from the shop.I was out picking up some food at the restaurant adjacent to the shop and decided to go in and let him know that I was back in town and would have the vehicle towed by my insurance company in a few hours. It was raining out and the trucks were incredibly busy. I looked and noticed that there was a plastic bubble wrap tarp over my driver's side window. Me giving them the benefit of the doubt and a kudos for keeping the rain out, I thought the truck didn't have power and they couldn't get the window up.What I saw next made me so mad I was moved to tears. I walked up on my vehicle and there was a dent and rust colored indentations on the rear driver's side door. I'm mad because I know good and well that this occurred here as my truck is in pretty good body condition. When I lifted up the tarp, the entire driver's side window was busted out. My glove compartment was ransacked and there was water in my truck. Seats wet, floor wet, every item in it thrown about.But guess what? Metro Automotive Services never called me to advise me that my vehicle had been vandalized or that someone tried to break in it and caused damage to it. I went in and asked the owner what happened to my truck? He tells me that they had break ins in the area and that my vehicle and another vehicle on the lot were damaged. I asked him if he had insurance mainly a garage keepers commercial automobile policy? He says no because they have a sign posted that they are not responsible for any vehicle's left on the premise.I advised him that my vehicle was not left. You accepted it to perform a service that you could not perform. In addition, I haven't even paid for the damages and you are not charging me storage because you knew you couldn't fix my car. I was calling three times a week and getting the run around. When you accept a vehicle for repairs, its under your care, custody, and control. Also when you have vehicles blocking your notice signs and you never have your customer's sign anything acknowledging that they read it and understood it, that sir wont hold its weight in court.I asked them if they called the police so that I can obtain a copy of the report? He says no. Are you kidding me right now. You had a break in and didn't call the cops to document. He says that's for me to do. How am I going to call the police if you didn't advise me of the break in? I called the police and they took statements and said this is ridiculous.This is a distraction from them taking responsibility for the damage to customer's vehicle. I had comprehensive coverage on my truck. It's a beautiful automobile and just had a new motor and transmission, new tires and rims and somebody broke into it and you couldn't call the owner? Was there really a break in? Because it sounds like a lie. Needless to say, he doesn't know that I'm an insurance adjuster and this is what I do for a living. Either your insurance carrier is going to pay my insurance back and my deductible, or Metro Auto will pay it back personally. I'm not done with my reporting.They tried the wrong one this time. This was at best unprofessional and improper. Don't do business here. I chose this shop because of their rating and because I support black owned businesses. But the way you guys did me was wrong and you're going to have to pay for it. I had to have my tore down truck towed back home and still paid them $285 when I found the damage because I'm an honest person.Don't take your vehicle here.

I paid $745 just to drive off lot and car cutts off, was told car was fixed to find out later on it wasn't even test driven. I will not be returning and suggest new people stay away. $745 down the drain

After dealing directly with the owner my experience has been extremely professional and satisfying. He was able to get the insurance adjustor out to the shop immediately and started repairs just a few days later.

All I wanted was a simple tune up on my truck. Went to this place and a $300 tune up turned into thousands of dollars of work to get my vehicle running correctly. These people do not know what they are doing. They tear up your vehicles , perhaps to keep you coming back. NEVER EVER take you vehicle to this place. Just a tune up from this place has caused me so much stress and money!!! Don't take your vehicles to this place. This is si sickening.

I've used them twice so far to do some body work on my car, and an oil change. They did a decent job and the customer service was excellent. They're prices seems to be competitive. I would recommend this place.

metro automotive always provide great and efficient service to my family and I. we have 3 vehicles we get serviced here. Mr. Thomas is always upfront and reasonable with pricing, while offering great quality of work from him and his staff. it's hard-to-find honest mechanics nowadays. I turned in my vehicle to check the engine light. I paid about 200$, they returned it to me with the light off and said it was fine. The next day I put it on the highway, it ran hot so I towed it to them. They said I now needed a new engine. If they had just actually checked and fixed it the first time, I would still have a vehicle. I used them in the past and started to notice they were focused on cosmetics...replacing my seats and window motors. I took it to them routinely for maintenance oil changes etc. I said just keep me running all the extra does me no good if the vehicle doesn't run. I was proud to support this business but they took my business for granted and let me down.Service: Auto engine tuning

Ever since Philip has left this I don t know what s up. Not punctual whatsoever and horrible communication. I was told my car would be done on a Monday, and then a Tuesday before noon. I tried calling the guy and sent me straight to voicemail. So I contacted the woman on the other half of the building which is the mechanical side so that I can see what is going on with my car in the body shop. Needless to say my car was in the same exact spot as it was a week ago. Still not touched to be painted. At this point I m trying to keep my cool, and the lady knows this, so she finally gets back to the phone after finding out what s going on and once again the day has changed that they said it will be done which is a Thursday. I would never be mad at a working man for being honest and straight up to tell me that it s going to take a couple of extra days! I appreciate communication and honesty! But when you lie and keep giving me the runaround, and don t communicate with me at all then I get angry! Now I had to spend more money on Uber and Lyft than I planned on all because I am in the loop thinking my car is gonna be done on a certain day, but yet I have been giving the runaround for two weeks straight and haven t been communicated with or anything!!Service: Body & Trim

HANDS DOWN ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTO REPAIR AND PAINT SHOPS THAT I VE EVER WENT TO! They provide excellent prices, quality services and always great customer service! Sometimes I stop by even if I m just in the area to speak. Everytime they make me feel welcomed and they always update me on the status of my car and if any additional work needs to be done in the near future. Ladies, if you want an honest auto body and repair shop that won t overcharge just because you re a female pleaseeeeee try this shop. They are awesome and my car and I are thankful for them! Thanks Thomas and Phillip and the rest of the team!

I had a 2018 Honda Odyssey Van there. My van had a blow out. It was taking them months to fix my car. They was holding it forever. When I had got the car it wasn t right. The trunk wouldn t open all my lights on the dashboard was on. I would never do it again.

I took my car in on Tuesday 9/8/20 for Radiator Replacement, I was assured the car would be ready in 24 hrs and it was.UNFORTUNATELY, upon driving the car later that day I GOT STRANDED on Hwy 138 in Riverdale because my car got Overheated and started Smoking under the Hood and I was Unable to start the car and hour later waiting for it to cool off.I call the shop the next morning Thursday 9/10/2020 and spoke to the So Call Owner and He assured me that he will have the Car Towed and He will call 2 hrs after he checks it out. I returned to shop at 4pm to pick up the car BUT HE NEVER HAD THE CAR TOWED and/or Never call me like he stated. He told my Husband that his Tow guy never showed up BUT after I approached him HE told me a different story, telling me"It's your Car, You pick it Up" saying my Car had a different Issue inspite of the Fact that the Car did not even Contain Coolant!....... This is not Over and I Am not going away. $355.00 during a Pandemic is a great Deal of Funds to Throw Away! YOU SIR ARE DISHONEST, DISRESPECTFUL AND A SHAM! THIS WAS PURE DISCRIMINATION OF ME AS A HISPANIC AND WOMAN! YOU GOT THE WRONG! ONE STAR IS TOO MANNY.I WILL BE JUSTIFIED!

A place where your car is fixed with the Wright diagnosis and happy to pay what they ask because it's the Wright price for the job well done very nice service the owner of that place helps a lots of people a very nice guy . Go to mechanic for less price I have been with him for the last 20 years even my children use him

Best place to take your car if you are having mechanical issues. Love that he is very honest , reliable, and the prices is reasonable. And he take the time to explain and answer any questions you may have. And something that you may not need he will let you know that you don't need it repaired. Also great place for ladies who may not know a lot about cars . You don't have to worry about getting ripped off.

Thomas and his team has been servicing my cars for over 15 years or more, they get the job done and make sure your car is running great, I have had four cars all were maintained by Thomas & His wonderful team....I have no worries when it comes too car cares.Thank Thomas & Everyone @Metro Automotives *****HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Metro Automotive will not be getting any of my money again. My wife Highly Recommended them because she's known them for years. I was told that I needed my Catalytic Converters changed. I was charged for 2 Catalytic Converters and some02 sensors that I came to find out that only 1 converter was changed and 1 was eliminated altogether and replaced with a straight pipe. Then at the end of all that he said I need a new transmission which I found out from Aamco Transmission that my motor and transmission is fine. I can't understand all of the good reviews they got unless they was just pumping gas.

Mr. Robinson is the best mechanic on the Southside. His prices are fair and he provides quality work. He is very knowledgeable about automobiles, and he can fix just about anything.

Metro Automotive is where I tell all my family and friends to go to get their car fixed. The customer service is excellent everyone makes you feel like your family and I enjoy the owner Thomas he's such a big help when it comes to your car and so educated about cars the best experience I ever had from a mechanic.

When my car was in an auto accident, it was a very traumatic experience for me. Luckily,I was referred to Metro by a co-worker, and I'm glad I went there because at the time I needed honest and reliable service. Mr. Thomas and Mr. Phillip delivered, they were very patient with me and gave me a fair estimate and answered all the questions I asked.

Terrible experience Metro Automotive Service kept my car for 3 weeks and didn't call me one time to tell me what is the problem and they left my windows down I had to call them to tell them to let my windows up and I call twice to ask the status on my vehicle for them to tell me they don't know what is wrong with my vehicle. Unprofessional l will never take my vehicle or recommend anyone to go Metro Automotive Service on tara Blvd.

Went and had truck priced for entire paint job and was extremely impressed how inexpensive it was. Saw some work done on another vehicle and it looked as if it came straight from the show room floor. They will be receiving my business.
