I was going to purchase a used car while test driving the check engine light came on. So I went to advance this nice gentleman read me the codes and then gave me a printout with the codes and the parts may need for the codes. I wish I could remember his name. He was extremely helpful! Needless to say, the car wasn't for me.

Deceitful Marketing and Won't honor their own policies. Came in to get Mobile 1 Oil. They wanted like $40 for oil and had a special to include oil filter and some kind of cleaner. I asked them to price match with Walmart for around $30 that's just the oil and they refused. I quote their company policy found on their website that says Advance Auto Parts will price match local competitors in store and online. The employee then tells me, well Walmart isn't a competitor so they won't price match. Like really? You sell the same oil as Walmart and if we don't meet an agreement I'm gonna go down the road to get the same product at cheaper price that's the very definition of a competitor. Employee still refused to honor their policy so I drove to Walmart and bought same oil almost $10 cheaper. Also there special where you get a free oil filter and cleaner is absolutely deceitful as all they did was raise the price of oil and through in more products that equals the same if you were not to have risen oil price. So it's not really free your still paying for the filter and cleaner just by paying more for the oil.

*Update*Somehow this location has gotten even worse. I went in to buy a few things, and no employees were in the front of the store, or near the registers. They were all screwing around and joking in the back stock area. I set my items on the counter at the register and called out to them and received no answer so I walked out and went to the location on EG Miles where the employees aren't lazy.*Original review*Workers are usually unhelpful and ignore you. Only reason I occasionally go to this location is that it is a block and a half closer to my home. The location on E.G. Miles is much better and has helpful staff.

Had to pick up and order but had am Emergency. "JENNIFER," WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND and while I was taking care of my situation got my order and made a fast quick transaction and was very informative on my part I purchased as well as fast to find the order when it wasn't showing up on the system. A++++

I was having some issues with my starter and Avery at Advanced Auto went way out of his way to help me for about an hour in the baking hot sun, running a bunch of tests, and he didn't even charge me for it. They recommended me to an autoshop nearby that got everything fixed quickly and cheaply. Excellent customer service, all the folks there were super nice and really put in extra work. Highly recommended.

Showed up looking for parts to do an oil change and plugs and wires. Guy behind the counter didn t know much about the brands or about the product. After getting everything, get home and it s the wrong filter for my car and I had to go to another store for the wires. Also looked confused when I got a gap tool for the plugs I ll just go to O Rileys and talk to Mr Earl.

Pretty decent as far as advance goes. Employees never give me the 'I don't know what I'm talking about' attitude. Always a quick trip. Options to save more by buying online with coupons and picking up in store.

Came here to get my battery changed out for my daily. Brought their 3 yr battery. Guy 1 installs it. Says the terminals are corroded. Cool. Battery in car doesn't have enough juice to start. Guy 1 puts another battery just in case. Still nothing, Then I get told it's my starter. Funny car starts up just fine till I came here. But guy 1 insist it's the starter. Guy 1 goes inside to get another employee (guy 2). Had to wait 10 mins. Guy 2 comes out tries to jump the battery with a big car booster size of a small speaker no juice car won't start also insist it's a starter issue.I asked so "if the starter is bad the car won't start?". I ask this 2 times. Guy 2 said yes. So I go in my car grab my Amazon car jumper. Car starts. Interesting...Then the next suggestion is the terminals are not making a proper connection. (Guess the extra money for a starter didn't pan out so well)Also before all this I brought terminals for the battery which I was told the person installing (guy 1) would put in. He didn't he said I needed a screw for them and I can get them at Lowes. So fast forward I showed Guy 2 the terminals. These aren't the right terminals they for Nissans (My daily is a Ford) ... Amazing.Guy 2 goes in and gets the right terminals and tells me to fix up the wires and install the terminals. Cool. Guy 1 asked if I needed tools to install the terminals. In my head I just laugh like no so you can sell me the wrong tools no thanks just told him I'll figure it out and left.If you go here buy what you need install it yourself or take it to a Mechanic.Gave 2 stars because even tho it was a bad experience they did right in the end for the most part.

Employees in this establishment are kind and are eager to help. I needed a new battery and Mortimer took care of replacing my old battery for a new one. He did a great job. I recommend this place.

Quick checkout. The employee who helped me was helpful, answering my questions and went as far as retrieving the oil and filter while I waited at the counter. Exceptional service! This saved me from having to go to another store. Overall a pleasant visit.

I went here to get brakes for my car and the gave 2 different sizes in the same box. I called and they said the would take the part back. When I went up there to return the part the General Manger Ryan told me he wasn t going to give me my money back although it was a mistake on there part. He was very rude and had poor customer service. I called corporate and they said that they would let the General Manger make the decision. I wouldn t not recommend any go here.

Had a hard time on the phone with finding the correct parts for a vehicle. 2 employees later and we got it in stock. Had to go to the same brand store 5 blocks away for the remainder of the parts. 45 min experience to check out a part that was on the shelf on hold.

Many thanks to Bee who took great care of us with our daughter in laws car. My son is deployed and my daughter in law left the lights in her van killing the battery. We got the van jump started, took it too Advance. Bee took the battery out, got permission for us to leave the van overnight. The next day she checked it, put it in and tested it again. We drove from Jacksonville NC to help her and Bee really went above and beyond. Will always use Advance over others because of the great service they offer.

I went there to get antifreeze and carburetor cleaner. They only had 5 gallons of the type of antifreeze I needed so I had to get the last gallon at Wal-Mart. I was very disappointed in the speed of service because I saw at least 5 employees but only one actually helping customers and he took a long time to get the first customer taken care of. I was third in line and waited over 20 minutes just to pay for my items. I found everything to be cheaper at Wal-Mart when I went to get the last gallon of antifreeze I needed so that made this visit even more disappointing.

They were GREAT. My battery died and after i got a jumpstart to get there, they verified it was the battery BEFORE they sold me one. Then they installed it for me. It was a giant relief with the family mechanic OTR.

Employees don't want to do their jobs. I ordered a part it came in on the first of September..I went in to pick it up and was told it wasn't their that they would call me when it came in went in multiple times on the second was told the same thing....the four time I went in their were different people working till close and I was told that I was lied to by a employee that went straight to the back grabbed my part and told me it's been their since 3pm on the first

Dont bother customer service has went down a lot over the past few years and continues to drop. Their warranty service has gotten a lot worse too. Do your self a favor and go to Bumper to Bumper or Oreillys.
