This was a very nice hotel! The breakfast was very delicious, the rooms were very clean and neat, and the people were so kind and accommodating. We received a courtesy call to check up on us during our stay which was very nice of them. One of the employees, Casey, was also very generous with her time and resources to me. I would highly recommend this hotel, and the area is very beautiful!!

This Best Western SureStay was SO clean, well kept, and the staff was extremely helpful during our stay. The indoor pool was nice and kept super clean, despite high traffic. While this is definitely a no frills type accommodation, it is the best I ve stayed in in its league. It s also super close to everything in Helen, GA and makes participating in Oktoberfest extremely accessible. It s also a short drive to a lot of great trails. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Helen, GA on a budget.

Clean and reasonably priced. Those are my two criteria, and it has them both. (We were here in the off-season though. Prices during Octoberfest is surely higher at all the hotels.)Also, the free continental breakfast had hard boiled eggs and microwavable sausage biscuits, which was nice to have some protien. Most places offer only carbs for breakfast.

Stayed here over the past weekend for Oktoberfest and we were stolen from by the cleaning staff. Not only were we stolen from we were also charged an extra $150 for "smoking in the room" when we never did so. I would not trust these people, they are liars and thieves. The manager Tammy is incredibly rude and dismissive. Save your money and peace and stay somewhere else. Absolutely do not recommend this place.*From desk staff were very nice *

We have had the best experience at this hotel. We checked in with Keir and she was fantastic. She encountered some extremely rude visitors in front of us and she was so extremely patient and professional. I definitely couldn't have been if I had been in her shoes. The office was spotless, the room was spotless. Parking options fantastic. Then you are only a super short walking distance from the main part of Helen. We did not check the pool out but we had a whirlpool in our room and my husband and I both extremely enjoyed it. This hotel is worth the stay. You instantly feel at home when you enter this hotel property. I will try my best to book here anytime I come back. Thanks for such a fantastic stay.Rooms: Room was exceptionalNearby activities: Shopping, Georgia Mountain Coaster, Unicoi State Park, Anna Ruby Falls.Safety: We never seen any kind of Law Enforcement but we never felt unsafe the whole time we were there.Walkability: Super close to the main part of Helen. This hotel is directly in front of the Geogia Mountain Coaster.Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurant options just keep in mind a lot of them close by 7 or 8 p.m.

Great stay, very polite staff, especially Aaron who worked both nights that we were there. This hotel is placed perfectly within a short walking distance to the downtown area as well. Loved our stay!Walkability: Sits right at the edge of the downtown area. Perfect walking distance

Overall our stay was great! Check in was a breeze, staff was all very nice, room was very clean and smelled great on arrival. Breakfast had a wide variety of items that were all good. Parking was easy and we were able to park within 20 feet of our room door. The indoor (glass panel walls/doors) pool is nice and It stays open till 11pm with some lighting, My toddler enjoyed staying in the pool after dark. GREAT location. Ice-cream shop and a sandwich place just opened right beside the hotel. We walked to downtown, the park, tubing and most of our meals. There is also a dollar general in walking distance. My only advice is to call before you walk to anywhere, most places make their own hours and will just open/close as they please and we ran into this at 4 different places just in our few days here. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Nice motel. The staff were friendly at check in and at check out. The room was clean and in good repair. The breakfast was small but still had good options. It's within quick walking distance of the main drag is restaurants and shops. The pool is covered and nice. There were a lot of deck chairs outside to enjoy the evening breeze on a hot day.For those with mobility concerns, the motel is down a decently steep embankment from the road, but you can use the small lane behind the building to get back out to the main road without having to use stairs or walk up the steep hill.

You can t go wrong by choosing SureStay By Best Western Helen Downtown. The place is right in the middle of everything in Helen, and you can pretty much leave the car locked and walk anywhere you wish to go in town. Desk service was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. The price reflected that of a good value. Very much recommended.

Hotel is very conveniently located right at downtown Helen. The mountain coaster is directly across the street and downtown Helen is less than a 5 minute walk to all the stores and restaurants. The hotel does appear to be an older hotel. That being said...our room was clean, beds were comfortable, and staff were friendly. We were staying for only a few days with housekeeping doing very minimal care to our room. Beds weren't made...rooms weren't tidied up. Towels were replaced though which was nice. We did not use the pool but it did look nice from outside view in parking lot.

Location was great for walking to shops. Rooms were nice. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool.Rooms: Rooms were nice and comfortable.Nearby activities: Loved being able to walk to shops on the main street. We were also able to walk to Bodensee for a delicious authentic German dinner! We were there when Helen was decorated for Christmas!Safety: Felt safe even while walking alone.Walkability: Easy to walk to shops and restaurants.Food & drinks: Lots of nice restaurants!Noteworthy details: Helen was decorated for Christmas!

Kiki, Tammy, Casey, and the ENTIRE staff are absolutely FANTASTIC!!! They were kind, patient, and more than accommodating. They made my stay in Helen so special by recommending the best restaurants, tattoo shop, and karaoke bar! I d give them 6 stars if I could!See you next year, my SurStay Shorties!

Absolutely the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Employees are very friendly and informative and help with all hotel and helen related questions. The room was spotless, smelt so fresh and clean. Good size pool for anyone wanting to swim. Breakfast in the mornings with great selection for a hotel. During non breakfast hours, they do sell snacks and drinks, which is very nice to see. I'd definitely stay here again. I absolutely recommend this surestay to anyone.Rooms: Clean, fresh and smells amazing.Nearby activities: Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. A mountain coaster directly across the street. Dollar general right down the road less than a mile with more shops and arcade.Safety: Very well lit parking lot, halls going to rooms also very well lit and clean. An employee is in the office 24/7. Police always patrolling all areas of the town, including around the hotels.Walkability: You will be in walking distance to everything from restaurants to gift shops. Including dollar general, gas station, shops for extra clothes and shoes. Antique shops all around the area. Plenty of gift shops with plenty of items to choose from.Food & drinks: The front office has continental breakfast that includes coffee,milk,muffins,cereal,fresh fruit,juice,waffles, and more! Outside of breakfast hours, they sell snacks, including candy, soda,water,chips,energy drinksNoteworthy details: Very safe feeling parking lot with plenty of lighting. Doors on rooms are very secure with several locking options for additional safety.
