Loved this town! It is so quaint, really cute, reminding me of the Alpine Villages in Bavaria. Wall paintings on the buildings and lots of little stores, restaurants, great outdoor seating, nestled between hills and forests. You can spend a whole day here, walking around. A variety of nice hotels makes it convenient to stay.A river runs through town, which in the summer is traversed by the folks to cool off. Summer or winter, this is an unusual and fun place to visit!

I visited Helen in the year 2011. Beautiful City. It is a must visit place.

They should inform tourists during October fest that they will fine you 500 dollars if you step on the side walk with a beer. Tourist scam, never going back to this place.

A beautiful city , picnic spot, we can see people with German dress ,buildings also German based structure... Cool place

I visited Helen in 2011 and it was absolutely beautiful....we tubed down the river....had a great lunch...such a picturesque quaint little town...The surrounding mountains were majestic and ohhhh so green...I totally recommend this place....You cant help but be happy there....Next time i go i will visit the local winieries/vineyards..

We usually go every year from Dec. 26 - Jan. 2. Prices are good and every one is nice. Not to busy.
