The hotel was perfect. We were welcomed with a readily available room after 8 hours of driving. We booked it in person on the spot. The breakfast was pretty good but this was the first hotel I ve been to where there wasn t fresh fruit (apple, banana, orange) which would have been nice. Additionally, we stayed at this hotel because it had a pool. When we woke up, we went to the pool and the hours posted were from 0800-2200. We ate breakfast and brought our 3 kids there but the pool was locked. I went to the front desk and the receptionist informed me that the pool didn t open until 0900. I informed her of the sign on the wall and she was unaware of it. She told us to come down in 10-15 minutes and it would be open. Apparently, the maintenance guy treated the pool and there was an overwhelming chlorine smell. I figured it was safe enough since they opened it and we got into the pool. After about 10 minutes, everyone was coughing and skin was burning. I immediately told my kids to get out of the pool and we all moved to fresh air and then shower once the airways were cleared. Also, for the employees that worked there, the common answer to things was, I don t live in Helen, I really don t know what there is to do here. I would have thought that there would have been a better response for people who work in hospitality. While they were all very very kind, there should be a sense of knowledge for those who work in this industry so they can great and inform guests who travel from hours away.Rooms: The rooms were very clean and updated.Nearby activities: Lots to do in Helen, water falls, museums, hiking trails, shopping.Safety: It seemed very safe.Walkability: I would say this hotel is right outside for the main part of the town so it s a bit of a hike to the actual downtown area.

Wish there was 0 stars. The front desk had to call their manager to check us in. There was food left in the refrigerator of the room. Ants were crawling all over the sink in the bathroom. I got ice and found BUGS frozen inside. The pool had hair and random things ant the bottom. Also the bathroom by the pool doesn t look like it gets cleaned often, just picked up. Just all in all a bad experience.

Excellent rooms and grounds... Great view of the city from our room. Great breakfast setup... The service from the staff had a few hiccups by other than that I would stay again if I were ever back in the area.Rooms: Very nice and Spacious.Nearby activities: Shops and restaurants mainly with the feel of walking in a German town.Safety: Well lighted area.Walkability: Short distance from the parking lot to the hotel.Food & drinks: They have a snack area you can buy from after breakfast is over, but it is not well stocked. most everything was narrowed down to basic chips and cracker items. Most everything else was out.

CLEAN!! The room was good. Clean and spacious! Continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful! Not as close to the square as I thought, but not a far walk at all!Would definitely stay here again!Rooms: CLEAN AND SPACIOUS !Walkability: Probably a 2-3 walk to the center of town.

Great location for those Marriott Bonvoy members looking for something in Helen. A newer property but in fall/winter they seem to know the lady bugs or beetles come through the air vents into the rooms. We went into a room with over a dozen beetles on the walls and ceilings but thankfully they had 1 open room they could move us to that didn t have those bugs. But the response from the staff was if they knew it happens and it s common which needs to be addressed by upper management/property owners. I felt bad for the staff as they seemed trained to talk around that issue instead of resolving it long term. I still give it a 4 star as everything else was on par for Fairfield branding.Walkability: It s about a half mile walk to the heart of Helen so not too bad with shops along the way.

Got here at reserved time at 11:00 then told us to wait until after lunch because the they were packed so we waited until 12:15 to try to check-in again and the lady tells us to wait until 4pm with no remorse or apologies for our wait and we had to sit until our room was ready 7 hours after we reserved our room definitely bad with service. Will not be recommending anyone to come here.

Smaller rooms, but very clean and updated amenities. Friendly, attentive service. Great location. Reasonable prices.Nearby activities: Close walk to every nearby attraction.

Hotel room we were first given was still dirty with someone s dirty razor still in the shower. We were offered another room however it had damp musty carpet. Would not recommend as my first pick in Helen. I will Opt for an Airbnb cabin instead next time around since there were plenty available at less of a nightly rate than this poor hotel.

Very clean hotel!!!! Comfortable bed;sofa bed very uncomfortable. Front desk staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is the usual, nothing extraordinary. The POOL IS EXTREMELY SMALL!!!!! the gym was great, but there were no cleaning supplies for the equipment.Walkability: At the end of the strip. Can easily walk to everything

It's a difficult place to get in & out of as well as being at the "entrance" to Helen... aka: be prepared to walk ALOT!The bedding was disgusting (hairs on the mattress pad)... they fixed the problem immediately.The tiny 20' L x 10'w x 3'd indoor pool was heated!! With 100� outside, who thought it was a good idea to have a HEATED pool?!?!Also, the rear deck railings are PLASTIC and a total safety hazard.And the list goes on... as a Bonvoy Platinum Elite customer, I must say that this hotel DOES NOT MEET BONVOY STANDARDS. AT ALL!!!!We WON'T return to this hotel EVER!!!!!

Charming hotel nestled in a lovely town. Delicious breakfast, located perfectly to stroll the entire strip and enjoy the shops and Christmas lights. Microwave and mini fridge in the room, small stand in the lobby selling frozen meals and snacks- a little pricey but available if you need them.Great place to stay. Gym and indoor pool well maintained.

I stay in a lot of hotels across the US. I've seen every shape and size. This place is clean, in great condition, the staff is friendly and helpful. It's close enough to the shops that you could walk if you wanted, but I went and parked at a pay to park place anyways.My room was excellent. My bed was soft and clean. The TVs were new and clear pictured. Absolutely no complaints on the room and facilities.My other issue is that they don't have an outside fire pit and sitting area. But the staff at the front desk said one will be going in soon in the rear of the building. Guess I'll get to enjoy it next time we stay for the weekend.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. It s about a 8 minute walk to the town. The only complaint we had was with the cleanliness of the room. After we checked in we found a dirty bra and a small empty liquor bottle under our bathroom sink. And there was some mold above the shower. Other than that our stay was pleasant.

I was in this hotel Dec 26 2021.The location of the hotel is excellent with a beautiful view of the city. Nice hall with super friendly staff. I would like to highlight the attention of the girl at the front desk called Marie, very friendly, affectionate and ready to help. Helpful and efficient staff. The rooms are cozy, clean, smell good, super comfortable bed and the best pillows. I loved my short stay and I feel that what I pay, is according to the service I received. I recommend this hotel 100 percent.
