My husband and I went for our four year anniversary/belated honeymoon. The private cabin we stayed in was on the fourth floor. Comfy king sized bed, Dish TV, gas/electric fireplace, wonderful soaking jacuzzi, private bathroom with standing corner shower, and a mini fridge with microwave and coffee pot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Darlene and Angie had a delicious full spread breakfast made every morning with different flavored pancakes. We could walk to shops and restaurants in Helen because the bed and breakfast is on the main strip. Each morning we were asked if our room needed anything. Only reason I didn't give the room 5 stars, was because the waterfall behind the jacuzzi was currently out of order and the owners are planning on fixing it or changing it. The toilet base was also a little loose, which they were aware of and already had a plumber come look at it. All in all, definitely recommend! P.s. there were other options of rooms, each differently themed and on different floors if stairs are an issue.

We stayed for our honeymoon and we will be back. Its family owned and they are so friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are cozy. You have everything you need, but if there is anything else you need they will do their very best to provide. The breakfast are out of this world. Holiday Inn has nothing on this homemade layout. Different pancakes everyday!!! We did a lot of hiking and walking on our trip so the Jacuzzi tab was the perfect way to end the day. The location is perfect too.The B&B sets outside of the main shopping area, but still in town. There is even a little general store across the street. Also, across the street is a very short walk to the river. This was the perfect place to hide away for a couple days.

All I can say is OMG, the website does not do justice to what this place really is. I love it, extremely clean, hospitality is superb. This place has a feeling of peace, and tranquility, Angie and Terry is on point with whatever your needs might be. We walked in and was immediately greeted with kindness. These rooms are the cleanest rooms I've every been in at a hotel. All I can say is the folks from Riverdale Ga, will be back very soon

I highly recommend this place! Angela was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and so comfortable. She made sure we had whatever we needed during our stay. Breakfast was good with options for everyone. It's within walking distance to multiple places. It looks exactly as it shows on their website. I will stay here whenever I visit this beautiful town!!

The service and hospitality at this B&B was amazing. The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. They even blocked a parking spot for us to charge our car at their property. But a charging station is less than 2 miles away from the B&B as well. The location is perfect. Within walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Betty s store was right across the street and so was the Biergarten. We didn t use our car the entire time we were in Helen. Super recommend.

Loved this place! I took my husband up to Helen for his 40th birthday and I called this place on a whim New Year s Eve weekend and really figured oh it will be booked no way I m getting anything but a chain hotel. Well to my suprise they had an opening! And I am so glad they did! Not knowing anything about Helen and this B&B we were definitely more than impressed with this place! From the welcoming us like family to the great location and to the clean and unique rooms, and lastly Angie and Terry and Darlene! They were great and made sure you knew you were welcomed in their place! Would definitely recommend this place to other fellow Bed and Breast clientele. We will definitely be back and also will definitely tell several of our friends that go to Helen to about this place. Great job guys keep up the great work that your doing it shows!!

This was my first B and B experience. Customer service was wonderful. However the place needs serious deep cleaning and updating everywhere. There are black tablecloths and placemats over really old tables in the breakfast area. It feels dark and dirty. There is tape on the light posts. The blinds are old. The shower has a liner that is probably from dollar tree. A few little updates would really improve the overall experience.Walkability: Close to shops and restaurants

Can't say enough positive about this wonderful B n B. The owners daughter Angie and her staff, Darlene were top of the line! The place was near a wonderful hike, on the Main Street, restaurants, activities, all that there is to do in Helen. The Hotel had great theme rooms. Very unique. And could those 2 girls cook up a mean breakfast!! Yummy!! They were very accommodating. What I wouldn't give to have a reasonable B n B like this in every town we adventure to. Can't wait to stay with them again.Noteworthy details: great roomswalk to everythingvery safepiles of restaurantshuge spa tube

We had an extremely pleasant time here. We have been to many B&B's and I can without a doubt say that this is the best one. I normally give a lot of latitude to non-chain lodging. But this one deserves it. The host/manager/owner (not really sure) was super friendly and helpful. But not so much as to be annoying. I believe it came naturally to her and not just as a job. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. It was not the Ritz-Carlton. It also was not $2,000 per night. Nothing was wrong with the accomodations. The bathroom was clean and neat and fully stocked. The shower was hot. The wifi was good. The views were great. But why 5 stars? The second "B". Hands down the best B&B breakfast I have ever had. The scrambled eggs (again, not the Ritz_Carlton) were fantastic. Exactly the way I like them. Creamy, flavorful. Just delicious. Oh, what's that, not enough. Pancakes! Delicious, light and fluffy. They have a copious fruit selection. They have a vast array of coffee and tea flavors. Just great. The location was quiet. They have good a good tv selection. Fully recommend.Rooms: Very clean, neat and fully stocked.Nearby activities: Great German cultural events.Walkability: Many restaurants, a grocery store and a beautiful river within an easy walk.

Gary, his daughter Angie, and Darlene were absolutely wonderful, super friendly, attentive and helpful. I wish I could leave a review for best breakfast in Helen but it s just for guests - so feel special. Fresh fruit every day that is ripe. Great coffee. Always eggs and bacon. Sometimes country ham or other delicious sausage. And the pancakes were my favorite. We were there for 4 mornings so blueberry, walnut, banana and last and my favorite apple pancakes. I have to go back just to try the peach next time! The rooms are small and cozy and cute. Has a TV and small table. Very clean and the heart shaped hot tub is great for two. Love the location at the south end of town. There s Bettys grocery right across the street that has EVERYTHING and a bar. Plus upon leaving I m pretty sure it s right across from the street that they drop the tubes in so thinking we could park at the end of town and walk back to the room and get out tubes and launch ourselves and drive back. Live music at several close locations and church bells are beautiful.Another hidden gem that my wife discovered 5 years ago. This was our second time and a longer stay so gained more appreciation for the location and amenities and hospitality! Was a perfect place for a romantic getaway.Rooms: Cozy. Clean. Nothing new or high end. Clean comfortable romantic. Stayed in the same room twice. Hot tub is perfect for after hiking. Nice shower too.Nearby activities: Restaurants Pizza and burgers or German authentic closestTwo bars. Betty s grocery and pizza place (live music) and German place (love music) go carts and laser tag adventure place.Safety: Wife would have went anywhere from there on her own any time of night. Well lit and police pretense late at night - courteous and helpful.Walkability: Everything is close - within 13 min feast hall.Drivable to 10 different.waterfalls 15-40 minutesFood & drinks: Always available.. Didn t look in the fridge but sure milk at least. Waters always available. Hostess Twinkie cupcake and other bad for you delicious Twinkie s. Granola bars and cereals. Spoke to breakfast in review. Also have flavored creamers and cereals and toasts and breads. .Noteworthy details: Plenty of snacks and waters and ice. We like black coffee and it was delicious.

I brought my husband here for our 5 year anniversary and booked a cabin. This was by far one of the BEST accommodations I have ever stayed at and we travel ALOT!!! Everyone was friendly, the cabin was comfortable & cute and the breakfast was amazing! I wish I booked for a few more days as I was hesitant initially but this far exceeded my expectations! We will definitely be back. I recommend this as a must try! Thanks to all the staff members as every single one we encountered was pleasant. Worth every penny spent!!!Nearby activities: Several attractive for tourist walking distanceFood & drinks: Breakfast was great! Never had banana or peach pancakes until now. Delicious!!!

My fiance and I went to Helen for the weekend and stayed here. Terry and his daughter Angie are amazing hosts! They are both so sweet and personable if you get a chance to speak with them. The breakfast was good! Terry and Angie always ask in passing if everything is okay and if there is anything we need. They had snacks and bottles of water for all the guests. The rooms were clean, nothing fancy, but the murals on the walls are beautiful! Cold a/c and hot water! Walking distance to everything. We'll definitely stay at Black Forest next time we are in Helen!

This place was nothing short of awesome! The staff is amazing and you feel like family. Cabins are so clean, very roomy & overall nice, but don't rent 1 if you can't handle stairs because he's 50 steps. Within walking distance of everywhere but still far enough down that noise is extremely limited. Only complaint i had were the curtains are thin & i prefer pitch black when i sleep, but no big deal. We will definitely be back.Rooms: Sooo clean!Nearby activities: The entire strip is full of places to go to.Safety: Railings safely in place. Smoke detectors & carbon monoxide detectors in rooms.Walkability: Within walking distance to literally anything you'd needFood & drinks: Tons of restaurants nearby & they serve breakfast as wellNoteworthy details: So pretty. Courtyard area is great for relaxing

My husband and I took a little trip to Helen this past weekend and stayed at the Black Forest Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our anniversary . They had tasty banana pancakes for breakfast and were centrally located to the town s restaurants and night life. However, the facilities left so much to be desired. The air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night, leaving the two of us drenched in sweat in the wee small hours of the morning. We adjusted the temperature all the way down to 60 just to keep the units running long enough to make the room bearable. There is some type of sensor on the light outside that was being triggered multiple times throughout the night causing a light to shine directly into our room. At one point, it was so bright, I thought someone had turned the light on and they were in our room. Needless to say, we got very little rest in our room. We enjoyed the in room jacuzzi tub, but were a bit grossed out when we saw tiny hairs in the soap dish. The room could have definitely used a bit of touching up before our arrival as there were at least two dead flies on the bathroom sink.I wanted this to be an incredible stay, a memorable one to remember for years to come, but the memories we will be taking from Black Forest are those of sleep exhaustion, and dirty bathrooms.

Black Forest bread and breakfast is a hidden gem tucked away in a not so great little tourist town.I can offer nothing but praise, the rooms were immaculate, the atmosphere and theme were in line with some of the places in the Black Forest. The bands were very comfortable, and the staff were amazing. The food, while not being exactly Bavarian based, was really good and made fresh.I would definitely recommend staying here if you're going to visit.
