I recently had the pleasure of staying at bear creek lodge and cabins, and it was nothing short of fantastic our host. Pam welcomed us and made us feel right at home. I really love the location of the large. It s truly remarkable be in within walking distance of the town of Helen and grapevine River. We were surrounded by nature s beauty and it was the perfect getaway for me and my husband and her dog buddy, to celebrate our anniversary and to connect with Nature to stay in the log cabin was truly the highlight of our trip. The history and Tara made it really special. I would definitely recommend and look forward to going back again soon.

These cabins have the ideal location, tucked in the woods, right on the river And walking distance into the busy town of Helen. Pam and Earl are the perfect hosts! They re friendly, accommodating, easy to communicate with And provide lots of Awesome amenities. There s free firewood, bikes, tubes for the river, parties on the river, fire pits everywhere, gorgeous hot tubs, and the best stocked kitchens I ve ever experienced in a rental. We re definitely going back with our dog who had a Blast!Nearby activities: Hiking trails everywhere with beautiful state parks and national forests.Food & drinks: It s nice to walk into town or rent a golf cart to get around.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving stay in the Gold Miner s cabin. Pam was so responsive and accommodating with information and checkin/out. The cabin was compact and rustic but very well appointed. We had 7 adults and 3 dogs at peak capacity. It was more comfortable with 6 adults and 2 dogs. The loft area is ideal for sleeping kids, and it looks like they re plumbed to add a shower or bath to the upstairs half bath which will make a nice difference. Just one shower in the downstairs bath so far (it s a nice one though!). It s a little bit of an uphill hike from the parking spaces up to the cabin - lit with pretty lights. There s additional parking up by the cabin if you have the 4 wheel drive to get up the hill. It s a lovely half mile walk into Helen - so convenient. And the Chattahoochee is just at the bottom of the hill - steps away. We hiked up behind the cabin to the old gold mine. It s not a hard hike, but footing is tough in a couple places. We didn t attempt to get down the trail to the base of the waterfall, but we could hear it. The indoor fireplace is gas. The outdoor firepit is a little close to the cabin so be careful about smoke. And SO pet friendly. We love that. Betty s grocery is very close walking distancefor any shopping needs - don t miss the biscuits! Also don t miss the Georgia Mountain Coaster. Overall a wonderful stay, and Pam and Earl are delightful hosts. They had a Christmas tree decorated for us along with other holiday cabin decor when we arrived. Perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge. We were a group of weary Jeepers who were driving the Georgia Traverse. Miss Pam took a very last minute booking for us and allowed a space for all 13 humans and one dog. The space was great, with lots of wonderful details. We would definitely book with Bear Creek Lodge again!Walkability: Very close walk to Helen, GA

My wife, Sully (our 25 lb Schnoodle) and I spent the Thanksgiving weekend at Pam and Earl s RIVERVIEW Cabin. It was wonderful clean, spacious and quick to downtown Helen but felt far away and private. Strongly encourage a visit to Bear Creek cabins Great hosts and wonderful lodging! Thank you Pam and Earl!!Safety: Private and secureWalkability: Eat walk to town

One of most memorable trips I have had in a long time. Pam and Earl are attentive and sweet hosts that are almost like the mayors of the town. Highly recommend this as a first choice place to stay if you are visiting Helen. The cabin was lovely and the guess could use a new mattress but luckily I didn't stay in that room. The hot tub was a great convenience along with the flat top grill outdoors. Absolutely want to be back here every year.Walkability: Behind the cabins were amazing trails between the cabins and access to an old gold mine and 30ft waterfall. Great for daily walks. Walking to the local convenient store is quick and simple especially on the weekends when the traffic in town picks up.Noteworthy details: Love the charm of this place and how well Pam and Earl care for it and their guests. Friday night open bar and live music was a big hit.

Bear Creek has become like a home away from home for my family & I. We love Pam & Earl & the atmosphere they provide is one of a kind. They make sure you have all the essentials for a great time & will even meet you at your arrival to make sure everything is to your liking. Each cabin we have stayed at is unique & has been perfect for the occasion & amount of people we have with us. Each cabin has it's own private hot tub & staying with them gives you access to awesome hiking trails, waterfalls, & a riverside pavilion area with hammocks, chairs, bicycles, tubes, games, & even live music, food & drinks in the warmer months. A short walk to downtown, & just an all around amazing place to experience. If you are planning a trip to Helen, GA, Bear Creek Cabins is the place to stay, I promise it will not disappoint!!

I absolutely loved Helen, GA and my cabin was one of the reasons why. When Pam says that the location is within minutes of downtown she s not lying. We found our rhythm with walking from the cabin to Betty s for breakfast every morning. I ve also stayed in cabins that were in mountains and been confined to no Wi-Fi and the fact that the Pam provides it was a lifesaver. We also put the deck of cards in located in the cabin through the wringer by hanging out at the table on the property day. The only problem I had was we didn t have an tv remote but Pam rushed one up to us quickly when I alerted her of the problem. Everyone in town was so lovely and welcoming. I hated leaving our cabin and Helen but would absolutely go back in a heart beat. I ve recommended this cabin and Helen as a place to visit to anyone that will listen. We will be back!

We stayed at the Riverview cabin for 7 nights, and it was amazing! The group area by the Chattahoochee River was fun and had something for everyone. Pam was a knowledgeable and friendly host, and we can't wait to go back!Walkability: It was about 2 to 3 blocks to downtown if you wanted to walk, but if you chose to drive, parking is close and not too expensive.

Stayed in the Cozy Cabin this weekend with my daughter and dog, and we all had a great time. Just a couple minutes walk to the Helen main strip. I loved sitting outside on the front deck at night working on my laptop with the creek running right under me. My daughter (8yo) loved the little hot tub. Pam was very helpful and responsive by text.

Absolute wonderful experience. Pam and Heather were amazing hosts. My parents met us from Pennsylvania and they were promptly checked in by Heather who was very professional and kind. We stayed in the Bear Cabin. Modern, rustic feel with all the amenities. What I enjoyed most is knowing how much pride the owners place in their business by ensuring their cabin was comfortable and safe. They provide enough toilet paper, paper towels, towels, extra blankets. Brand new leather electric couches with built in phone chargers. Beautiful wooden, hand made tables throughout the property. Walking distance to downtown. 10 minute walk. Hot tub super clean with temperature settings. Definitely will be staying at Bear Creek Cabins again. Thank you so much for a memorable time.

Best big fam vacation in ages. Fantastic riverfront location, Goldminers cabin was perfect and Pam & Earl are friendly, fun & amazing hosts. They met all our need s & extra requests, exceeded our expectations & we love their sweet dogs. We stayed the full week 07.10.23, nine adults & kids (2families). The kids loved exploring the abandoned gold mine & waterfall on property, as well as free tubing & biking every day. Moms loved the swinging chairs down at the river & being left alone cuz the kids were so busy. Dads loved the Blackstones, teaching the kids to skip stones & large campfire pits. S mores & lots of card games every night. And our dogs loved the cool river & running the trails. Beds were extremely comfy & we all slept so good all week. Easy walk to town, love Betty s & Hofers, the Alpine Coaster, the Hooch, the Biergartens & party decks, so much shopping & everyone is so friendly. Pam & Earl s Friday night party at the river w local band & catered food/open bar was a blast. We re going back in October.

Me and my husband spent a few days in the cozy cabin. This small cabin is rustic and cozy. There was a nice hiking trail behind the cabin. We had wonderful time and perfect quick getaway. The owners Pam and Earl are excellent people and very family oriented. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. At their place each Friday is fun evening with band and dinner and drinks. We had a great time. Looking forward to visiting again.

My son and I had the most AMAZING time in the Cozy Cabin at Bear Creek Lodge in Helen, GA! We wanted a fun, authentic mountain experience and this place delivered. Quiet, clean, and adorably decorated- perfect for a quick getaway, or even a longer stay like we had. Enjoyed resting on the porch and soaking in the hot tub after walking around the town all day. Awesome location and wonderful amenities, too. You could literally enjoy tubing, fireside time, games and biking right there on the property. Cannot wait to go back! Great value for all you get!

We wanted a weekend getaway, nestled in this Quant little town and enjoy some cooler weather; (since Florida had a warmer winter, we felt jipped ha ha). From the moment we booked a cabin with Miss Pam and Earl, they were very accommodating, professional and friendly. When we arrived to this gorgeous property, we were greeted warmly and taken to our beautiful cabin. The cabin was great, a lot of thought and care went into creating it.Detail to comfort and higher end amenities made us feel very well taken care of.They told us about the waterfall just down the trails and after a wonderful breakfast the next day, on our Blackstone grill, we went and enjoyed it.Spent the day in town, came back, to enjoy smores over our own private firepit, had a soak in the hot tub and slept like babies in the super comfy bed.The pet friendly part was amazing too, we were able to bring our 2 little fur babies with us and have family adventures. The check in and out process was super relaxed and we will definitely be back, maybe for a summer to enjoy the other activities they offer..We shared our experiences on our social media and with lots of family and friends. You have a wonderful place for people to enjoy life.Thank you Miss Pam and Earl

I absolutely love, love, love The Log Cabin at Bear Creek Lodge and Cabins!! The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing being so close to the river. Pam and Earl have made some great upgrades indoors and outdoors. The cabin itself is so quaint and cozy and has all of the amenities needed in order to make one's stay extremely comfortable! I always book my stay with this particular cabin because of the ambience of the place. I've also rented The Tree House and it's lovely as well but you just can't beat The Log Cabin and the history that accompanies it. Thanks Pam and Earl for being wonderful hosts and a big shout out to Heather also! She was very helpful. I know this because I had to phone her on several occasions!! Thanks again to all of you and I look forward to my next visit!!Deborah Sharpe
