This was a great place to stay in Helen for our two day stay! The rooms are clean and updated.Lindsay went above and beyond to make sure I had the two rooms I needed on the correct dates, she even called me the day of when she realized that I had switched up dates for my own room. The only downside is the property older with no elevator, so you have to book the actual disability room or call in advance if a ground floor room is needed. The staff will do what they can to accommodate.Rooms: The rooms are clean and remodeled.Walkability: The property is in a good location. You can walk to most of Helen from here.

Love it! So cute. Vernon was great. The room was spotless and spacious. Great shower. Loved the bonfire outside and the pool table. We chatted with other guests out there until 1am and had such a nice night, we were only sorry we were just staying for one night. Location perfect too. Thank you!!!Nearby activities: Rent a bike from the adventure centre!Safety: Felt extremely safe here :)Walkability: Smack bang middle of everything.

Management was extremely sweet and courteous. They bought my wife and I a nice bottle of wine and two glasses for our honeymoon. Cozy and very comfortable rooms with everything you could ask for. The atmosphere is extremely comforting with a pool table and fire pit to enjoy the outdoors at night. I REALLY couldn't ask for more. Very affordable and well worth the 7 hours it took us to get there. I will definitely be coming back again.Rooms: The rooms are clean comfortable and cozy with all the amenities you could needNearby activities: There are many things to explore shops candy stores restaurants and plenty of scenery nearby.

Location is just a small walk to all the bars and restaurants. I only dealt with service once, to get my room key, the guy was nice and told me about activities they had. My only complaint....we had a downstairs room. You could hear EVERY footstep the person above took. Unfortunately, they went to the bathroom about 15 times between midnight and 7am.

Do not stay here! This motel was one of the nastiest I have ever stayed at. There were crumbs/hair in the sheets. The room wreaked of Marijuana smoke. There was an old pair of nasty underwear under one of the beds. The walls were super thin and you could her everything. I would never stay at this motel again....I recommend you don't stay here either.

Alpine Village Inn was a complete nightmare for my friend and I. First, we was called before we got there asking when we would arrive which was the first red flag, then once we got there the front desk was locked and I was approached from the outside of the building (in the dark/pouring rain) to check in. Once we were given the key, we unloaded our 3 kids and went in the room for it to smell like complete cigarette smoke. I have a 3 year old with extreme breathing difficulties, so I went to the front desk asking for a new room and they said they were booked, but the outside said vacancy. The guy at the front desk said if yall will leave for 30 minutes, I ll set up an OZO and it will pull all the smell out. Nothing can pull cigarette smoke out of everything! There was a ton of people smoking, cussing, and drunk outside which already made us feel uneasy. We are 2 women with 3 small kids 5 and under. Once we decided to leave, I went outside the room and the front desk guy was standing outside of our room. I definitely do NOT recommend anyone with small children staying here!

The room was very nice for such an inexpensive hotel. No bugs, clean bed and clean linens. Clean towels. Clean bathroom. They do have breakfast included in the price of your stay. Cereal, Yogurt, Honeybuns, Oatmeal just simple things no hot meals. There is a $100 property damage deposit fee when you get to the front desk not included in the price of your stay. It is fully refundable at the end of your stay so long as you don t destroy your room or anything but nobody told us about the deposit before arrival so it was a little jarring. We did get our deposit back by the end of the day that we left. The place was very quiet. Driving distance to the shops in town is about 2 minutes. A 15 minute walk if you choose to do that. The front desk guy was very friendly. He let me borrow the tape dispenser to wrap a birthday gift I had bought while I was there. The only bad thing at all I have to say would be that one of the lamps in my room didn t work and one of the lamps that did work had a little piece broken off of it so it was a little hard to turn on. Overall though, I would definitely recommend it to anyone if anybody asked. We had a Single - King Size Room - Non Smoking

Beautiful little place to stay in Helen. The folks who run it are so nice and hard-working. The setting is pretty, matching the German mountain town vibe, and the rooms are clean and decorated tastefully. They have a nice fire pit, outdoor pool table, and fun events like watching football games on an outdoor TV. The WiFi was fast enough and reliable enough also. I like the location of the place, which is near the park on the Chattahoochee River, and near the Festhalle where the town holds events like Oktoberfest and Holiday celebrations.I must mention that the walls of both of our rooms were "thin", and if your neighbors are noisy (like a crying baby, or loud TV), you probably will hear it. If you are sensitive to noise, I recommend bringing earplugs, or asking ahead of time for the most secluded room.Recommended.

Overall enjoyed the stay for the 2 nights stayed here. Lindsay and Vernon were terrific hosts/staff members for this hotel. Loved the bon fire they have every night outside the hotel especially with the cooler nights coming. Rooms were good size. Only negative would be the full beds. They were not the most comfortable beds but I would def recommend this place and stay here again.Safety: Very safe and quiet location. Good for families too.Walkability: Very convenient location that is walking distance to downtown/heart of Helen.

The staff were awesome! We were greeted warmly at check-in and any time we needed anything. There is a social element to the common area with pool table, fire pit, and corn hole game.Room was very clean. I'm paranoid about bedbugs and I can attest there are none in the room I stayed in. I THROUGHLY inspected before anything I owned came into the room. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and they had quality sheets and pillows. There is coffee in the room but the coffee pot only used those disc looking coffee filled filters so it took 2 to enjoy a real cup of coffee. I normally bring my own coffee to use in the room but was not able to with the pot. Again, the great staff was happy to get me more coffee packets to accommodate.MY ONLY WORD OF WARNING Watch how you book as there are sites that charge a fee. My $80 room cost me $136 because I didn't realize it wasn't their website. It's also not their fault, they have no control over that practice.Walkability: We're not young, nor in shape and we had no problem using this location as a jumping off point for the majority of Helen.

A truly wonderful place to stay! My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and we have already booked for next year as well. You can't get any closer to downtown helen that this. The festhalle is literally next door. Lindsey and Vernon are extremely accommodating. I could not recommend a better place to stay in Helen GA.Walkability: Everything is in walking distance

Our stay here was AMAZING !! . The buildings are older, but cute. Lindsey and Michelle were great , I'm not sure they ever stop working. Lindsey is exceptional, we are handicapped seniors, she gave us the closest parking space near our room. We were there 3 nights, Lindsey lit the fire pit every night, in between still working!! We made s'mores, first in many, many years We also made hot dogs over the fire . There also is a pool table and corn hole. This was our best stay that we had in MANY YEARS, made exceptional by Lindsey, she made it seem like we were friends for years. We have never been in a hurry to get back to our room. We couldn't wait to have the fire pit and relax. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALPINE VILLAGE INN!!Walkability: Close to town. Good walk

Bad experience: the restroom light didn t work, and there was hair in the sheets, the towels were dirty and looked oldest with holes, and the bathroom sink was clogged the same as the tub!!. The room was wreaked of Marijuana smoke. When I went to inform the issues at the front desk office, nobody answered. It is not recommended to stay in this place.

Rooms were o.k. needs a little work. One of our rooms had sheets flipped and put back on bed and towels were dirty. Floor in bathroom was bad. We had 3 other rooms in our party. They were not as bad. Ours was pretty clean. Bathroom was very small and Beds were uncomfortable. Ours said queen but was more like a full size. People running it were nice and always there if we needed something. Was short walk into town. Only thing there was a lot of foot traffic of people not staying at the inn going in and out of the room where the people running it stay. Don't know what that was about.

We just left this cute little inn. Vernon & Lindsey were amazing. They work so hard and are so attentive to every vacationer. The fires every night and the pool tables is well kept. The rooms were clean. The service was amazing. We will be coming back soon!-From the twins and family from Florida

This Inn is amazing!! Not only is it very clean, has spacious rooms, and is in prime location in Helen, but Lindsey gave us exceptional customer service! This is such an amazing place for families and friends to come and have a great experience. They have corn hole, a grill, a pool table, and just an all around great friendly vibe! I would highly recommend staying here for your time here in Helen! I will definitely be back to this Inn when I am in Helen next!! Amazing experience!!

We recently stayed at Alpine Village Inn for one night and checked out the following morning. From the outside the hotel is cute but does appear a bit dated and run down with some broken down vending machines. The gentleman who got us checked in was very nice and gave us some general directions of how to get to the main strip of Helen (which was a very short walk from the motel which has an excellent location) and he even gave us a map. They then told us that our room was being mopped and would just be a few minutes, which we were completely fine with and we grabbed our bags and waited outside the door.Once we entered our room (which was located on the bottom floor) we found it to be relatively clean but dated and very dark. The view from our window was not great and had litter scattered outside on the window sill. There was a bit of an odd smell coming from the drain as well but other than that everything was okay, however you could hear every sound, footstep, and conversation coming from the adjoining rooms due to poor insulation and thin walls. This was a bit concerning but we brushed it off and tried to make the most of our stay. The real issue came a few hours later at roughly 10 pm when we began hearing loud stomping, footsteps and banging/what sounded like luggage or furniture being dragged from our upstairs neighbors room. This went on constantly until 3:30 am, and we got no sleep as a result, even resorting to turning on a sound machine on our phones. While I don t feel that the hotel is directly responsible for our loud neighbors, we tried to call the front desk multiple times with no luck, and there was no one available in the front office to help us at all which was incredibly frustrating for us. We only had one day to stay in Helen and as a result of this noise and lack of sleep we were exhausted which really put a damper on our entire experience.Overall the location of the hotel is excellent and the employees were relatively friendly upon arrival, but we never saw them again from that point on. Check out consisted of dropping our key into a box, and we were unable to even voice any of our concerns then. The rooms could use some major upgrading, especially to improve the insulation to give their guests some privacy. And it would be nice to be able to contact someone when issues do arise instead of paying for a room which we were unable to get any sleep in. So unfortunately we would not stay here again.

Great place to stay. Rooms are a little dated, but everything was clean. Manager was so helpful and friendly. Manager tried hard to make family friendly atmosphere with hot cocoa, smores and fire in the fire pit at night. She even had sparklers and glow sticks for kids one night. Outside pool table and corn hole added some extra activities. My daughter and I had a great time. Hotel is within walking distance of most everything in town but still out of the way of main traffic. If we come back, we won't hesitate stay there again.

My best friend and I stayed 3 nights here. Lindsey (office manager) greeted us promptlyShe was very helpful and friendly. She gave us extra towels immediately due to us staying a few days. No ice maker on premises but our cups was filled with ice and a bag of ice was given to us, also Vernon( maintenance) purchased ice so we would have some the remainder of our stay. Grounds are nice and clean. We can sit by the fire pit and we could play pool or corn hole. . The staff is absolutely friendly and the rooms are clean, beds are clean and comfortable. The fridge in the room kept our drinks cold. Lindsey and Vernon was very helpful with things to do and direction. Alpine Village Inn is in the heart of Helen and walking distance to everything. I 100% recommend staying here

Quaint inexpensive last-minute inn. The room was standard, not like a regular hotel, more like a cottage. It was located within walking distance of everything. The staff had a fire pit going at night near the outdoor pool table and made smores for the guests.Walkability: Centrally located walking distance to everything.

The hotel looks positively adorable. But the receptionist sounds like she's high on pills. She literally would not offer any information on room availability. She kept arguing with me about how I should have booked online rather than calling.Noteworthy details: You better book online or the receptionist will be upset.

We booked two rooms here for two nights, one for my mother, the other for my wife and I. This place is awesome. When we pulled up, Steve, the property manager greeted us and even helped carry our bags up to our rooms. He even started a fire in the pit just for us, even though we arrived after midnight. His wife Amy was just as great throughout our stay. The place was clean, staff was fantastic and it is conveniently located close to the main drag. The rooms do need a little work, but they work and comfort isn't in short supply. If you find yourself in Helen, GA, be sure to stop by and spend a night at Alpine Village Inn.

Steve was friendly and helpful. The room was aged but my room was clean and fresh smelling. The air conditioning was working great but but pretty noisy. Did not keep me from sleeping however. The tub was fine if shallow. Opted for a relaxing bath, water pressure low, as is expected in an older motel. Quaint courtyard and Steve offered to allow me to stay parked if I was going to walk around town. Great location for Octoberfest too. Plan to stay here if you like old school charm.
