We have been bringing our vehicles to Steve for over 20 years. He started with our Volvo, and now he takes care of our Acura RDX. Steve will never suggest a repair unless it's absolutely necessary. We don't trust anyone else to service our cars. Excellent service, fair pricing, utmost integrity. Highly recommend.

I've had my Volvo S80 serviced here more than once for issues that I could not diagnose / fix myself. Every time I've picked up the car, the issue was fixed and I was pleasantly surprised by the charges. Steve is a true specialist without the dealer costs. I couldn't be happier!

I would highly recommend this place!!! My 2014 S60 wasn t performing like it used to. Volvo Mall of GA told me that I needed a new engine and turbo charger for 22k dollars. I almost just got rid of the car but, decided to get a 2nd opinion. I knew the car wasn t performing at its best, but it did not seem like it drove or acted like a car that needed a full engine and turbo replaced(the check engine light wasn t on, wasn t burning oil, ect). I m so glad I came here because Steve confirmed I didn t need an engine or turbo. He was able to figure out why it wasn t performing it s best and was VERY reasonable in pricing to get it back to 100%. He s very honest and up front about everything and does a great job explaining what is going on with your car. My car is running like it s brand new again and I couldn t be happier!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have had my XC-60 serviced and repaired several times at this location. The front office staff is accommodating and friendly, and the mechanics are honest, friendly, and go out of their way to physically show customers what is wrong with their vehicle, and what it will take to repair it. Each experience I have had here has been overwhelmingly positive. If you own a Volvo, and are in this area, this is the very best place for service/repairs. 5 stars across the board, couldn't be better.

My Volvo V70 2.5T had a stalling problem that was hard to fix. It had been to 2 other places that specialized in European import cars before coming to Gainesville. It took some patience chasing down the issue, but they found it and fixed it. In the meantime, we got to know them and they were really good to us. I can definitely say these folks know what they re doing, and they re highly trustworthy. They re now my go-to shop and I get all my Volvo maintenance done here. We have been bringing our Volvo to Steve and his amazing crew since we bought it 18 years ago. They have taken such good care of us I told my husband that our next car will only be a car that the The Volvo Specialists service. They are fair, honest with competitive prices. We won t go anywhere else.

Finally a mechanic that isn't trying to sell you something you don't need or ream you on pricing. Can't be beat on pricing for the quality of work and the family experience you get dealing with these folks! Steve was awesome. Dropped my car off one night, he called me first thing the next day and spent 45 min on the phone with me, giving me his honest opinion and explaining EVERYTHING! Went over each line item the dealership said I needed, HALF of what was on there was not necessary. Dealership said $7K to repair everything, and they missed the underlying problem!! Steve noticed it off the rip, his experience level is EXTRAORDINARY and RADIATES in his conversations!!! I'm pretty savvy about my Volvo. I just can't do the actual labor. I've been ripped off and taken advantage of several times to the point where I was about to get rid it!! After talking to Steve, that is not the case anymore! He worked with my budget, quick turn around and warranty's everything for a year! I've FINALLY found the ONLY person that will ever touch my car mechanically! I HIGHLY recommend Steve, his daughter Brandy and his whole crew to ANYONE with a European Car. 40 min drive from house but WELL WORTH IT! 10 STARS FROM ME!!!

Took our 2005 VW Beetle in due to engine noise. Steve found that it needed engine mounts as 2 of the 3 bolts holding them up had broken off. After many hours he was able to repair the problem. He kept us updated throughout the work. The car drives and rides better than it did before. Great workmanship, knowledgeable and personable.

I have a 2000 V70 and haven't done anything to the car for quite a few years so there was a whole lot of stuff that I wanted done, once they completed everything I feel safe to drive the car again. Runs like it did in 2000! Did a excellent job and I will continue to use them

Took our 06 V70 in for general tyranny maintaince, a belt and spark plugs replaced. They did great work for a great price. Loved the pleasent atmosphere. Clean respectful communication with everyone involved. Highly recommend this shop.

Best auto repair EVER! We've been taking our 2001 S40 and 2004 S60 here for several years. Steve and crew always do a great job at a very fair price. And they let you know if/when a repair is not truly needed; always honest and reliable. We live in Alpharetta and bring the cars all the way to Gainesville when they need service... that's how much we like and trust this place. Just excellent service all around.

I used these guys 1 time a few years ago and it was great. But because I live in Cumming I tried using a few other local mechanics and was very disappointed. I will not do that again. I will go out of my way to bring my , XC V70 here. Steve is very thorough, honest and cost effective. An example is that last year I had an estimate at a shop that starts with the letter "L" in Cumming. The estimate was $4k. I took it to Steve and it was fixed for $300. The other shop told me the car would not last. It is running great today! I will not go to any other shop!!

BEST BESTEST MECHANIC EVER! I have a mini cooper he not only made time for me, checked my tires for which dealer was trying to get me to buy early and i had enough tread, he did my brakes for such a reasonable price for once again what a dealer was trying to ream me for. checked my brakes and of course i only needed front not all, which dealership was pushing me to do for over 800 dollars. he is reasonable, fair and goes above and beyond he watches your pocket book.. bringing my infinity in nowsee Mike he is the best

These people have been like my family since a very young age! They are honest, dependable and helpful! I recommend anyone and everyone to them for your vehicle needs. They are the only people that I trust with my vehicle. They will not tell you that work needs to be done if it doesnt. You run into that problem with mechanics these days that tell you you need more work than you need just for them to make more money! Trust me this is the place to go!

I've come to think of them as the "Volvo Whisperers"! Can't say enough great things about Steve and the crew. They are extremely skilled with Volvos with Steve even once correctly diagnosing a problem over the phone without even seeing or hearing the car. They take great care of the two Volvos that we own and we have found them to be extremely fair and honest with service and repair. They answer all questions fully and their customer service is top notch. I highly recommend.

Everytime I ever gone to the Volvo Specialist, I've had a great experience with them. Mike is an amazing mechanic. He is very honest and shows genuine concern. I would recommend them to anyone.

Very friendly and professional staff. Completed a repair (new front end bushings) in less than a day.Labor rate is on the high ended for the area but their professionalism and expertise make it work the few dollars extra.Highly recommend them.

Looking for a 6th star...... but couldn't find it. What a great little shop. Just enough family to work there to keep it real. ALWAYS great advise and informative. They do a great job tailoring how they explain things and always give you your options to make good decisions. Cant go wrong here
