Solo Motorsports Gainesville has been so thorough/detailed with our car and honest when it has come to repairs! They ve been so great telling us that we didn t need something done/repaired just to make extra money on us when other repair shops said we did this type of honesty and customer loyalty is so hard to find in a mechanic shop these days! And their prices compared to a couple other shops I have priced have been the most reasonable. We won t take our car anywhere else now! They are the type of shop that genuinely cares about having lifetime customers and run their business ethically:)

Fantastic experience with timely service and great pricing. Had valve cover gasket replaced 3 times before. Now with Solo the valve cover and cracked bolts were found. BMW fixed now with no oil leaks! They were able to do this in one business day also. Great job by Solo team. Also love that they use Motul oil products that are the best.

Philip and team at Solo Motorsports recently did my major 30k mile maintenance for my vehicle. From beginning to end, their customer service is unbelievably good!! They will call you and text you and email you to communicate any changes or to confirm what the plan is so you're comfortable with moving forward with any work that needs to be done. Phillip was great to work with and communicated everything with me at every step. Could not be any happier with their care and service. I'll not only be back but I now consider them my main mechanic, I'll be bringing my other cars their way for service. Highly recommend

Very professional and serius service. They have done an amazing job on my vehicle. Before I found this shop my car was stopped for 8 months. Other shops tried but they couldn't figure out.Solo motor spots did it in 2 weeks. It was not a small job.

These guys do fantastic work and have identified and solved countless problems in connection with restoring my BMW e34 back to its daily driving glory days. From fixing fuel line leaks to complete suspension overhauls, they can do it all. The car runs smooth and they have helped every step of the way -- even with scouring the internet for 30 year old BMW parts. SO UNPROFFESSIONAL. Phillip hung up the phone on me when I called to tell him that he was wrong. He charged me $168+ tax to diagnose my car . He told me it was leaking from the expansion tank and cap and I went to get a second opinion from someone else. Turns out that Solo Motor was trying to charge me over $600 to fix something that wasn t even leaking . And now Philip doesn t even want to refund me the diagnosis fee even tho they diagnosed it incorrectly. LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THIS PLACE.

Took my BMW over to Solo Motorsports to get my engine repaired. They did an excellent job on fixing my engine and having an affordable price for the repair. There customer service is awesome! 5 stars for Solo Molosports.I have used their services twice in the last 3 years and I am thoroughly pleased with their level of mechanical competence and professional demeanor. The facility is top notch and the staff is very friendly and informative. I was not pressured into getting services I don't need or parts that we're necessary like I experienced in other places. I trust these guys 100% and Solo will always be my go to place for all my car's and motorcycle's mechanical needs.

I ve now had several interactions with the team at Solo Motorsports and i ll never take my car elsewhere. The team is efficient and transparent. Phillip does a great job at explaining what needs replaced and why and the team over there is awesome. I have a 2000 BMW Z3 that has always been serviced at BMW if Gwinnett, formerly United BMW where purchased new. I gave Solo Motorsports a shot after hearing great things, so glad I did. Phillip runs a great shop. Thought my AC compressor was shot. They did a thorough diagnostics, system just needed to be evacuated and freshly recharged. Guys are straight up honest, efficient, and run a clean shop. Highly recommend them!!Services: Auto A/C recharge, Air conditioning

I've done business with this company for a few years now at some of their other locations. With my catastrophic engine failure (valve broke off into combustion chamber) I decided to come to this newest location in Gainesville. I'm glad I did. David (owner / head tech) is very familiar with my particular car and motor (2001 Audi S4 2.7 twin turbo V6) so I knew I was in good hands. Once I dropped the car off, they had the motor out and all the key parts off of it and organized within 2 days. I ordered a salvage yard motor from out of state. Once that was delivered to them, they had that motor apart and the block and heads were sent to a local machine shop they trust to have new aftermarket pistons, rods installed as well as performance valves and supporting hardware installed in the heads. The machine shop even did a few extra things we didn't ask for that were a nice surprise. Once the built motor and heads were back to the shop, the guys jumped right on the car and worked solid for 2 days and I was present when they first turned it over and it fired right up the first try. After working out a few small glitches (that are expected when this major of a job is done including a true full engine build) were worked out over a day or so, the car was delivered back to me. After driving it away for the first time, I noticed the car ran MUCH smoother than it ever did. Even though I drive almost 2 hours one way to do business with these guys, it's worth it. Trusting a shop to know what they are doing and trusting them not to take advantage of you means everything to me as a customer. If that's the case with you, have no fear doing business with these folks. You'll not be disappointed. If you are... well... you're probably just one of those people that can never be made happy. They're out there... you know who you are. :-)

We had a coolant leak in our 2011 R-class diesel Mercedes. The team at Solo ended up replacing our oil cooler, gaskets, and radiator. Although the repair was expensive, the job was a big one and this shop figured out what needed done and got the car back to us within ten business days. On the day of pickup the car had a boost leak and the mechanic stayed an hour after closing to make sure he sent me out with a solid performing car. Thank you to that mechanic (Sergio I think) and to Phillip for the honest, great service.

What an awesome experience at Solo Gainesville. Philip and his team were top notch with excellent communication and service. Awesome meeting all the techs and owner. It s always been important to me to have an automotive shop I can trust. Solo Gainesville is that shop. I make a 1hr drive to patron this shop, and will continue to do so, because a small fraction of my time is worth a lifetime of peace of mind; knowing my vehicles are safe and dependable for my family of 5. David and his crew are awesome. They have handled a couple of large projects for me on two different vehicles this year. I m a pretty solid DIY guy, but some projects are beyond my skill set. Ultimately I ended up having them replace a transmission in one vehicle, and an engine in another. They are very good at communicating as they find anything that is outside of the original project scope, and they do everything they can to stick to the original quote. As an existing customer, they have also been very good at helping direct me toward cost effective solutions on some of my other projects. Very trustworthy and straight forward. I will not hesitate to reach out to them as needed in the future. 5 stars for sure.

Recently had my bike worked on by Chris (Hippie) and I could not be happier. Excellent work and very knowledgeable, very fair pricing, any questions I had he answered. I found out about him from some friends of mine and I'm so glad I did because this is where I'll be taking my bike from now on. 100% recommend!! Thank you Chris and Solo Motorsports!

We have taken our BMWs to Solo since we first moved to the area. In our prior city we were blessed with a knowledgeable, service orientated independent shop with a great history of not only basic service of European vehicles but also a great history of building and racing these same vehicles. I thought we were out of luck after the move, until we found Solo Motorsports. This shop is amazing and has never let us down or padded repairs. Solo was recommended to me by another tuning shop, and I ll never take my car anywhere else. They ve been honest and thorough dealing with my (extremely problematic) Volkswagen Tiguan. They have done Timing Chain Maintenance, replaced the Intake Manifold, Oil Filter, and Ignition Coils, as well as fixed an oil leak in my Brake Vacuum Pump, and fixed my air conditioning all for beyond a fair price and way below what a dealership would ve cost, plus always got the job done quickly. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly and won t take advantage. I took my car in as a new customer for a regular oil change. They first told me I didn't have an appointment, but I showed them the number I called and they said must not have written it down. They called me a few hours later and told me that there is a rattling coming from my engine that sounds like rattle knock. They told me that I am lucky my engine is still working and I should go sell it right now. I was shocked because I have never had a problem with my car before. My car only has 64,000 miles on it and I never had the check engine light come on, got regular oil changes, put good gas in my car, etc. I brought it to my dad's mechanic that is far away for a second opinion and it took them 5 minutes to do a diagnostic test on it and said I just need a new alternator that will cost me $1000 instead of having to buy a new car. Solo motorsports didn't do a single diagnostic test on my car before they told me that it's at the end of its life and I need to sell it while it still runs. They seemed like honest genuine people that are just really bad at their job. After everything they put me through they didn't even change my oil because the condition they thought my car was in. After I got my new alternator, my car is still doing great and makes no rattling noises. I would not suggest taking your car to this place because they can give you the same false information and put you through a roller coaster of emotions that they put me though.Service: Oil change

They have taken such amazing care of my BMW no matter what is going on they take my car in and have it fixed pretty quickly!! They have done so many things to fix my car and are constantly willing to help fix it again. Especially when I got locked out of my trunk they could have easily said sorry we cant but they kept trying every possible solution and finally got it open and fixed! By far the best shop I have ever taken my vehicle to and will keep taking it there!!! They even built a new transmission for my BMW.
