James and his team went far beyond great customer service. A theft attempt on one of our vehicles left it in bad shape. They came up with a novel and secure solution. So clean. Kudos

Helping Hands Automotive is everything that it says in their business name. My mother has been going to their automotive shop for both of her vehicles and has received nothing but the best service possible. James and PJ treated her like family, even going as far as to pick her up from her home to bring her to their shop when her vehicle was ready. They ve even taken my mother home after the tow truck had dropped her off at Helping Hands for repairs. If there is any issue with a service, they have provided they go above and beyond to make sure it is addressed and fixed. There isn t another shop that I trust more than Helping Hands Automotive with our vehicles. They always give us a great price with repairs and turnaround is always expedient. Even when it was the day before Christmas, they made sure my mother was in good hands. If you want great service, then you need to trust Helping Hands Automotive with your automotive needs.

True to their name, they helped me to get out of a bad situation to get my truck emissions compliant as no other shop/dealer fixed my truck properly over the course of 1.5 years. Not only were the repairs done quickly and efficiently, but I paid a fair price. Highly recommend to try them before going anywhere else as I wished I would've in hindsight!

I have been brining my cars to James and crew since 2017. Never once have I had any issues with him or his work. Even an Engine replacement last year was a good experience. :) The latest issue we brought him resulted in Transmission issues so we took it next door to Shift Works to do the work. But they went through all the tests to confirm the true issue to make the correct diagnosis.Mark M.

I think these guys do good work, the problem is they dont seem to be interested in working on my car. I dont know if it is because they are concerned I wont pay, or that my car is too big a challenge. Its been sitting waiting to be fixed for months now. I would love to be able to see her out on the road, sounding nasty and lookin so so sweet. Maybe its jealousy, maybe its too dangerous to have a whip this fresh out on the streets.

I have a Infiniti Q x56 messed around and put the wrong stuff in my gas tank, I thought the M engine was damaged, the people at Helping Hanh fix my car very well. Also all parts that they repaired, they put them in plastic. I highly recommend this company to people. They are a five star auto mechanic shop.

I am very disappointed in the service I just received. On Tuesday I brought my Sorento in to have serviced, the tires rotated, a Washer Fluid leak repaired and the air dam replaced. When I made the appointment I informed the service technician that I had to rent a car to meet my transportation needs and that I would need my Sorento back by 9AM on Thursday which would give them two days to complete the service and repairs. On that Thursday, I called to ensure that my vehicle was ready. I was informed that is wasn't and to give them 2 hours. I informed them that this delay would result in additional car rental charges. I was ensured that it would be ready within 2 hours. At 11AM my wife arrived to pick up the car. It still wasn't ready and was informed that James had to go to Atlanta to pick up the parts and would not be back until 5PM. I reminded them of the 2 hour delay and was told that they had never said that. My wife instructed them that she needed the car then. When she got the invoice she noticed that the tire rotation was not listed. She asked if this had been done and was told it had been. When she took it in, she noticed that the right front tire was missing the stem cap. When she received the car, the right front wheel was still missing the stem cap which indicated that they had not rotated the tires. Why did they wait to get the parts they needed until after the agreed upon date and time of pick up? THIS ENTIRE SERVICE WAS TOTALY UNACCEPTABLE. I will be pursuing a more reputable service center.

Great customer service and quality, thorough work. My wife and I are new to the area and were unsure who to use when both of our cars needed repairs in the same week. Boy did we get lucky with a helping hand auto. They got both cars back to us with all problems fixed quickly. We have used James and his staff for the past 5 or 6 years every time we needed repairs or maintenance. They have done numerous sets of brakes, replaced a failed radiator, routine maintenance, alignments, pulley/belt replacements, a new clutch/flywheel and more.James is honest to a fault - he will not do work that isn't necessary, but will try different options until it works- and I'm sure it costs him money. He is upfront about parts. He only uses high quality parts, so sometimes the parts costs are more than some on-line search will show, but he stands behind his work and the parts he uses. We consider this a plus - you get what you pay for.In all the times we've used his shop, we have never, not a single time, needed to go back for the same issue. It gets fixed right the first time.We are relocating to a different state, and we can only hope to find a similar shop. I suspect this will be a challenge, as the service here is absolutely top notch.

Usually, I'm left disappointed when patronizing automotive shops, because either they were incompetent, in addition to overcharging me for insufficient work. But I was pleased with James's outstanding policy of customer service. He encouraged me to ride along with him, engaged and explained the diagnostic procedure to me, and ultimately discovered I only had a couple of loose screws on my rack & pinion that misaligned my steering. Another auto shop would most likely have exploited the situation and charged me for fictitious work. We have all of our family car serviced here for our routine maintenances. They are by far one of the very best shops we have ever dealt with, and we interestrust all of our services in their hands. I've been using "A Helping Hand Automotive" for years. Aside from a couple of minor issues not worth mentioning, I rate the business 4 Stars. I rarely give a 5 star rating to any business. There are few times when service or sales deserves a perfect rate. So, in my book, 4 stars deserves recognition and a good recommendation to anyone looking for their car to be serviced.One good aspect is that you can purchase your parts from anywhere you wish, take them to "A Helping Hand Automotive", and they will perform the labor. Of course, since you're not buying the parts from them, the business naturally cannot warranty the parts. But, if you are OK with that, you just may be able to save some costs. Or, you may have a parts company preference, cost savings or not. Either way, bring in your parts and "A Helping Hand Automotive" will do the work for a fair labor cost. Of course, if you prefer the parts and labor in one package, ask for an estimate.

I had auto repairs due to a minor car accident, and there was no doubt in my mind the shop I wanted repairing my SUV. Having had my vehicle serviced by A Helping Hand prior, their service and attention to detail resonated with me. It was a no brainer for me. I loved the repairs done on my car . Everything was done in a timely manner.They assured me of all the tests ran to ensure my vehicle was back in good condition. I needed work done in my my car; there were multiple issues and I was concerned that the repairs would be way out of my budget. James gave my car a thorough inspection, provided a written estimate of all of the issues with the cost of each in order of importance. The work was done promptly and within budget. I am very satisfied with their service and would recommend AHH to anyone needing car repairs.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Helping Hand Automotive for almost 15 years. They are always fair, courteous and efficient. As a woman it is hard to trust a repair shop to be honest with you. James & Billy have always treated me with respect and when there has been any serious issues they call immediately to discuss options. Moreover, it is so nice that they present options. A lot of garages go ahead and make the most expensive repair and then charge you for it with little to no discussion. I really appreciate how James & Billy conduct business.

The service here is awesome! The mechanics are very thorough in finding out the problem with your vehicle and fixes the issue. They also give good car advice and exactly show you what may have caused the problem. They give reasonable pricing, better than majority of the shops around town. Highly recommended!

A helping hand automotive is fabulous. I've had 2 cars serviced there. One I own and 1 I was contemplating purchasing. They were extremely thorough and kept me from purchasing an over valued vehicle which could potentially cause my teen son multiple problems later.

The absolute best on the Southside. I have taken all of my autos the Helping Hand since moving here in 1997. From Ford to Mazda, to Infinity and my beloved Porsche, they have always worked with me, making me feel more confident that what they do, they do right. I have never been dissatisfied with the quality, time spent and hourly rate.

Absolutely the cleanest automotive work area I have ever been in. All the employees from the owner to the mechanics are very courteous and respectful to one and all. I feel that they managed to totally correct a bad problem some other mechanical shop did to my vehicle. 100% thanks to "the Helping Hand crew!"

Our family has been using Helping Hand for over 15 years, when they had only a single bay. James and Billy are two very honest and pleasant folks to deal with and I trust them implicitly. They have worked on every one of my cars, my daughters' cars, and my sons' cars and I have never had a complaint. I continue to drive from PTC to Fayetteville just because I trust their work.I have a feeling the negative reviews are from folks who expect something for nothing. James and Billy will not disappoint.
