Wow. These guys are super rude. When asked for a quote, they said they cannot do it and hung up on me. I repeatedly told them that we have replaced the water pump and just need a price for bleeding the system and he goes "Why didn't you tell us right off the bat". They have zero etiquettes and zero customer service. If you can't service, that's fine, politely decline but you don't have to be rude with your customers!

I am no one. It's nice to network and know people who are in the same field. I am terrible with names but I know faces. In business management, I know work ethics. I see people when they're not paying attention. The young lady who works here... is actually the reason I decided to bring my customer's vehicle in for an alignment. I know she doesn't remember me but I remembered her. I liked how she handled business. She was kind. She was timely with returning phone calls. I actually got to see her interact with my former co-workers. She was and probably still is the bomb! The service she gave was great! I hope that her boss appreciates her hard work and professional reputation she keeps with his customers! I am pretty sure her name starts with an "L"... She's got that real southern girl accent too! As long as my customer's car is aligned properly... I'll be back to Fairburn Emissions ok! I still had you guys saved in my contacts Thank you for your wonderful service. Thank you for your time and for reading my review! Have a Happy Thursday!

Listen, if 4.6 stars was EVER A LIE, this is the quintessential example. I wish I read the most recent comment cause it confirms the horrible customer service and unethical business practices I just witnessed!I told them I smelled something that smelled like gas in the car. It felt like I needed a new cabin filter. Joe said they ll test drive the car to see if they can duplicate the gas smell cause that could be a deeper issue. Cool. (I only got Joe s name because he ends up being the rudest person I ve dealt with in a while.)I go back inside and talk to the woman and give her my keys. I ask her how much should I expect to pay. She says, If they duplicate the smell, then they ll have to run a diagnostic to see the issue. If it s just a cabin filter replacement, then there won t be a charge. That s simple and they do that during normal tune-ups. You won t pay anything. I was surprised to hear this but thought maybe my dealership has been getting over on me this whole time if this spot is willing to do it for free, similar to how the tire shop I go to fills up air for free. Anyways, as I'm about to leave I realize she never took down my name or number (should have realized then that there was some incompetency). I gave it to her. After she calls my phone to say my car is ready, I come in the next morning. She wasn t there (yet) but Joe and the owner were. He tells me they couldn t duplicate the gas smell but changed my air filters, and the total is $197. I told them I wasn t expecting to pay that much after the woman told me yesterday you guys don t charge for this. He and the owner both dispute my claim and the owner says he s going to call her. I see him call her and of course he walks to the back when she answers. Joe goes back there and then comes back out front to say we re taking some of the charge off since she said that. It ll be $100. I pulled out my card and handed it to him cause that was fair to me.Here s where it got ugly: The girl walks in the door to clock in and clearly avoids eye contact, walks right past me, doesn t respond to my good morning. As I m getting my receipt I ask her if she recalls what she told me, and of course Joe jumps in with complete RUDENESS, saying leave it alone. Even the owner had to tell him to relax. I m not calling him racist but the undertone was there when he said some people don t want to pay and we ll go get your old one out the dumpster. Like what, I JUST paid? I had zero problem with paying. It was just NOT what she said. The girl finally answers me and says she never said that. I could do nothing but laugh at the unethical, bold face lie. What a joke. STAY AWAY!Joe said "I don't care" about negative reviews. So I hope the owner does not respond to this pretending to care all of a sudden cause you're part of the problem for suggesting I was lying.

I decided to come here after seeing the really good reviews for not only customer service but prices an efficiency and I'm soo glad I did. I've been in Atlanta four about 6 years now and have finally found my go to mechanic. I really appreciate the over customer service and how they operate From the nice lady at the front desk to the owner/manager. As someone who isn't familiar with cars they took great care and not once did I feel like they were just feeding me info. My car is fixed and I'm a happy girl. Will definitely be returning and happy to mention them to anyone who asks.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fam, Fam, Fam. Wheeeeeeew!!! You know this keeping yo head on a Swivel is getting to be, unfortunately a term I have been using the past couple of days. There's a reset that has taken place, right??? If you know, you know. . Anywho, it's affecting our day to day activities, including service businesses . And when you locate one that is worthy, cause these daze??? I appreciate their( Fairburn Emissions) service . Took longer than expected, but I finally got my vehicle back, and Jamie's the owner is a good guy and went out of his way a few times for a woman in her golden years. . Would I go back??? I would. But don't expect a quick return. They are very thorough. I appreciate them. . Peace Fam. Pssssssss. Greetings, Fam. Eye needed to come back, come back, come back. I was so caught up in the keeping of my vehicle . Let me say this with the utter most sincerity. They fixed an issue that was supposed to have already been fixed by another service vehicle business in the area. Not only did they show me, awwh, fam, they allowed me to come in their space and showed me where the other business didn't tighten what I had paid to be put on initially. . And they charged me. Now, I did take it back to the 1st business, giving them another chance. But, the engine light came back on. So I decided to bring it to this business, Fairburn Emissions. Yesss I had to pay again, understandably, because I brought it to this business. But the price wasn't out landish! Jamie, the overseer, took it to go and get my emissions test done for me, and I paid them accordingly. My engine light was the problem, and they took care of it. I was able to get my sticker for my vehicle that I soooo badly needed. Family, it's Hella rough out here in these streets . I needed to collect myself and add this very important part as to why I came to Fairburn Emissions in the first place. Thank you, Jamie, the owner, for going the extra mile . Eye, realize that my comments are making a difference, and eye want to make sure that what eye report is non bias ...Yeeeeeesss to recommend Fairburn Emissions. . But just know the wait time is a factor. So give them a call first and find out if they are available for the time allotted. Ook, fam, eye'm bringing closure to review... Thanks, fam, for even considering my thoughts. Eye don't take it for granted. .

My car would not hold any freon, and it gets hot as hell in GA. Most places I called told me it would take two days or more to even get a diagnosis of the problem. That was certifiably inconvenient for me, so for everyone's best interest, I kept looking. From the first phone call, the customer service was stellar. The next day, I was called, and not only had they diagnosed the problem but fixed it the day before. The customer service was stellar. I will return in the future.....let's hope I don't have to, but in case I do, I will make this my shop of choice.

The owners and mechanics went absolutely above and beyond all expectations to make sure my car was correctly repaired and safe for me to transport my kiddos in once again!!!In a 1 year span 5 mechanics had my car for a total of 4 weeks at various shops in various towns and none were able to figure out the problem!!! They had my car for 24 hours and was able to tell me exactly what it was! Got it approved with my warranty with in a weeks and once parts arrived they only had my car for 3 days for the full repair!!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission replacement

After calling other repair shops, Fairburn Auto shop was the only shop that could get me in right away. They were very courteous on the phone and even more courteous in person. Since my vehicle was covered under my warranty plan they took care of filing the claim which was a relief. I will definitely use them for oil changes, minor repairs and well as serious repairs moving forward. Thank you for proving that customer service and expertise is still alive and well!Service: Auto water leak repair

About a month ago I was visiting family in Georgia and on my way home I hit a pot hole and lost control of my Jeep. Very scary experience. I could only drive very slow. Went to 4 different repair places and no one could help. The local Jeep dealer was by far the least helpful. We googled and found Fairburn. Thank God for them. They made no promises but said they would try. The absolute best customer service and kindest people. They fixed our Jeep and the price was about half of what we expected. I highly recommend them.

Friendly staff! Fast service! Went in for emissions testing. Failed the first time :( Went down the street, purchased the required item and returned. Passed and the whole process took less than 45 minutes. Good deal in today's busy world. Highly recommended!

Overall experience went well however, they were short staffed so the repair time was delayed by 2 days. Customer service was good. I would patronize them again.

I ve now visited Fairburn Emission and Automotive on two separate occasions, having learned about them just recently. Both experiences have been a great blessing, with their prices being incredibly affordable, their service being thorough and of very high integrity, and all of their staff members being very courteous and friendly!I would definitely recommend them; especially for quick, same-day service needs. So all in all, they re mostly a 5 out of 5 stars. I only rated them a 4 based on how very limited parking is at their location and also due to the waiting area and restroom being less glamorous and contemporary than the pricier dealership waiting areas tend to be. So it s better to plan to leave your car there and just return upon being informed that it s ready. But definitely check them out!! (And support the small, privately-owned businesses, instead of just the big guys ;)Services: Tires, Brakes

I would literally travel miles to get my car fixed here. They do an awesome job. My dealings with other mechanics is something always constantly happens after repairs, but not here. Vehicle actually runs well and lasts that way. The only drawback is the extensive waiting time but is worth it if you want real work done.

I always call before I go so I can drop my vehicle off and pick it up the same day. Prices are decent and the work has always been great! They are more honest than most. I've had other garages try to take advantage of the fact I am a woman thinking idk what is wrong with my vehicle or try to encourage me to do some unnecessary work but they never have! On top of that when I requested a service they informed me It was unnecessary at the time. I definitely recommend them

I was driving my 2010 Honda Pilot in Athens when all the lights on the dashboard started to flash. They began to dim. I called a friend and he told me to pull over off the road because the car was about to cut off on me. When it did he told me it was the alternator. I got the car towed to this facility Fairburn Emission and automotive. From day one I explained that the car was towed because it cut off on me while driving. It already had the check engine light on. I was already familiar with the car's preexisting issues. I specifically asked the facility to check the alternator. As we talked I was telling the tech about the other issues and how my husband and I are aware of those issues. The tech suggested where I received service for those preexisting issues was not done properly. I told him I would take it back to Tireplus instead of paying almost $2,000 to their facility. I already paid close to that amount with Tireplus. The diagnostic was about $114.00 at this Fairburn Emission & automotive. After speaking to this tech today, he tells us the diagnostic is now $200. I inquired as to why it is that much when it was $114 before. I was told it is because he diagnosed the check engine light and the 02 sensors along with the valve covers and gasket. We are already aware of the preexisting issues with the car. The 02 sensors were also replaced by another facility, not Tireplus. This was done before we moved from NY to GA. We could never understand why the light stayed on. The catalytic converter was also replaced. Every issue this facility told us needed to be repaired I already paid for. The tech at Fairburn Emission and Automotive today was very rude and disrespectful to myself and husband because we inquired as to why the price changed from $114 to $200. He continued to talk over me and cut me off. I politely told him he's being rude and he acknowledged that he was being rude. Our vehicle has been there since the day before Mother's Day. When we asked him did he check the alternator they continued to tell us that someone would call us back and they didn't. To get answers we would have to call them only to be told they'd call us back and then that would be another couple of days. Also, because we inquired about the price change the tech threatened to charge us with storage fees. I would not even give them a star because the service I received and the disrespect as a potential customer was beyond unbelievable.Update: I am at Fairburn Emissions and Automotive. It wasn t a technician I was speaking to it was the owner who was rude. His name is John. I will say they reduced the price down to $117. I came to get my car so I wouldn t be charged storage fees after being threatened that I would be.

Great place with wonderful customer service! The employees provided a thorough assessment on both of my vehicles. Services were rendered in a timely manner, reasonable, and they even provided pick-up assistance. I m grateful to have come across such a place with trustworthy professionals. I personally changed my routine services to this location because of the awesome experience. I have and will recommend this place to anyone in need of car repair service. We took our Chevy Tahoe in for a leak and the team at Fairburn did a great job taken the time to really find out what the issue was. Once found, they called with a quote, which by the way, was reasonably priced! It took a few days but it was definitely worth the wait. I would recommend Fairburn Emissions to any one around. We have 5 cars and will take them all for service when needed!!!

They had my car for almost 6 months. Every week I called they had a new excuse to why they haven t started yet. Granted they did have a lot of cars. But 6 months with no communication or initiative to get my car ready. I spoke to the manager and he still charged me full price even though my battery completely died from being there for so long not being touched at all. Would ve thought they would have at least took 10% off my total. And was told they will not pay for a new battery even though it died on their expense.

I was recommended to Fairburn Emissions by my husband. The first couple of times they were great. My truck had an oil leak they inform me that it was the rear main seal. I didn't question them and paid them they kept my truck for 2 weeks. When i picked it up it was still leaking. I informed them and they were extremely rude to me although I had paid them and was never rude to them.. They agreed to look at my truck again and now it was the steering box I paid them. My truck leaked more after 1 day home. I took it back to them; they kept my truck for over a month charging me a lot of money. Every time I called it was excuses after excuses. They finally call me to pick up my truck. My battery which was about 3 months old was dead they had to jump start my truck. After all that my truck is still leaking oil in the exact same spot. I would not recommend at all! I will never go back even if it was the last place that repairs cars. This is a follow up after I read the reply back from the review I wrote. I was told that they wanted to make things right. Well, everyone they did not; the young lady was nice and kind which she didn't know a lot but she did her job. I was charged for another diagnostic test and this time it over $120.00+ this did include the emissions which is about $18.00 elsewhere. In all hopes I thought they would make it right. I was told it was now leaking around the timing belt area. Well, I took my truck to another shop and the mechanic said that my truck is in good shape and that the original oil pan that I paid for at the beginning of this ordeal was nevered changed they only put RTV to seal it. I have pictures of the Rtv smeared and a statement from the other mechanic. It is very sad that people are taken advantage of because they trust others to do what is right. It is unprofessional to hang up on someone because they are inquiring about their vehicle. Overall, after all that my husband was told We don't wanted to work on your truck!!!. After taking thousands of hard earned money from someone. I was treated unfairly, poorly and unjusted the only time they said anything to me was to get my credit card to pay. I now have contacted my lawyer to see how I can at least recover any of my money back to get my truck fixed.

I highly recommend this place. The Lexus dealership told me I needed a costly repair close to $5,000. Took it to this place and they said it wasn't accurate. The actual repair was only $300. They could have easily taken the money since I came in with a diagnostic. I will definitely be going back. They told me the true repair was obvious. So glad my husband found this shop.

I took in a used car that I knew needed emissions repair. I found out everything that was wrong with the emissions (lots more than I had been told was wrong with it from the former owner). I think the price I paid for the estimate is very fair and I will use Fairburn Emissions and Automotive again.Service: Auto emissions testingService: Auto emissions testing
