I tried to support a black business during the pandemic. Wrong move. This is not that kind of black owned business to be supporting.Do not take your car here!! By far the worst consumer experience that I ve ever had. I allowed Dexter to paint two cars for me. Dexter does not care about quality or meeting deadlines. Get ready to be lied to and ready to spend a lot of money on Uber because you will not get your car back on time. And when you do get your car back you will find that he has painted over debris. He even painted over a large DENT that was supposed to be removed. How Sway???!!The paint on both my cars are currently chipping after being in his shop a total of 9 times.He painted my truck and failed to remove exterior trim pieces like the mud flaps which meant that my truck that was painted black had lots of places that he left white because they weren t painted.I told him I wanted the truck matte black and it came back shiny the first three times and with uneven spray that last time.Finally I got the Better Business Bureau involved and he made a final attempt to repaint my truck and the paint is still chipping and place were missed. He had my car almost a month !!! And waited two days before I picked it up to start painting.I gave up.This man has no integrity. At all. Once he has your money your car will not be finished properly.Don t if you decide to still have your car painted here after reading all of this and seeing these pics then that s on you, but you ve been warned.

I was referred to Dexter's Paint & Body after I was involved in a car accident on 5/31... I was told that he did good work and was reasonably priced. After speaking with Dexter he insured me that he could have my car done in one weekend- I was impressed considering every other body shop was telling me it would be months- I didn't have months to wait, so I took my car to Dexter. He seemed very helpful at first, but the first weekend passed and my car wasn't ready, he then told me it would be ready until Thursday- okay, that can still work. Thursday came, my car wasn't ready- he was waiting on more parts. He mentioned sometime the following week it would be ready. The following week came- then magically he had to put his dog down and stop working on my vehicle. "But I'll finish it up next week!" he claimed. Onto the next week- still no car and he started ignoring my calls. He finally answered on Wednesday and told me that my car would be ready Saturday morning. When Saturday came he never answered my calls, soI got a ride to his shop- it was closed upon my arrival. I called Dexter about 20 times on Saturday- no return call. Sunday morning I started calling him again- after the 11th call he answered- I asked about my car- Dexter's exact words were: "I never told you that your car would be ready on Saturday! Why would I tell you that if I was going to be at a funeral in Texas?!"After we exchanged some heavy foul words back and forth, Ic called my attorney and told him the story. My attorney called Dexter- He told my attorney that he was at a funeral in Florida...Wait Dexter, didn't you tell me Texas? And the lies and horrible service continue. My car was finally ready the week after which put me without my car for a month- 7/3. The issue here is if he would've communicated effectively- you know like a business owner should've this outcome could've been different. But with the lies, the poor service, the cursing and name calling not a chance in the world would I recommend Dexter to ANYONE!The body work was good- not great, I'll give him that, but after getting it back I realized he didn't replace one of my fog lights and my check engine light was on- which it wasn't on before. I recently took my car to Nissan and having to spend $795 for an active air grille shutter that should've been replaced by Dexter. Not only that Nissan sent me photos of some wires that look to be cut- the only way to get to those wire is by taking the front end off- which is exactly what Dexter had to do. Nissan stated "whoever had their hands on these wires definitely cut them, whether it was on purpose or by accident, but they were cut."If you want to be lied to, cursed at and have your blood pressure raised- definitely go to Dexter. Customer service is at an all time low... Do better.Services: Painting, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Air conditioning

I am really impressed with the bodywork and paint job done by Dexter and his team. As someone who tries to participate in the #BuyBlack movement, it was a pleasure doing business with an African American business and owner!

He takes a long time with jobs and there is never clear communication. You ll have to contact him every time and when I go to the shop no one is working .
