I loved staying here last weekend. The staff here was extremely friendly and prompt to help out with any request. The rooms were nice and clean and you could tell they took care to upkeep the property. The location was amazing with a nearby liquor store multiple restaurants and a gas station right at the entrance but it was on a quieter road that didn't have much traffic causing noise. I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to the area.

Well I've stayed here 4x in the last month after losing my place as my landlord sold his property and not been able to find a rental we can afford. I'm a disabled vet, and we decided to save cash we would camp for 4 weeks to save money.We stayed Aug 4, and paid 113$ for a below average, room, checked jn at 11 pm. We asked for a late check out but of course that wasn't possible. The room was clean but run down.We stayed again two days later, Aug 6, and my gf was getting out of the shower and held into bar installed in the shower wall. She places her left hand on the bar as she lifted her right leg to climb over the bathtub while getting out and had my brand new 5 blade shaving razor in her right hand. As she lifted her leg, the grab bar came out of the hole where it goes into the shower wall, due to faulty installation and old, causing her to slip in the bathtub after getting off balance when it disengaged. She fell backwards and slammed her head into the wall, the razor head detached from the shaver as she hit her right knee when slipping backwards, and when she landed the five blade head was under her body as she landed on it cutting her near her woman parts. We will just say if she was a boy she wouldn't have been anymore after she was cut so closely to the main artery. Blood filled the entire bottom of the tub, and several rags. She was seriously banged up and got dizzy several days after falling when she got up. There wasn't a non slip bottom in the shower or outside the tub which may have helped.We went and told the manager and he said what do you want me to do about it? He said if you come back again I'll give you a discount!Sadly since there aren't any other hotels around in the price range we came back a few days later after she began feeling a little better, and he kept his word. $20 off. Sad. The room this time didn't have a remote the tv was not working so you werrnt able to watch it at all, and the room was a d grade room. It could not be latched from inside. The AC had been off so the temperature according to my phone in the room was 95 degrees at midnight. They refused to allow us to move to a different room that was cooler bc there aren't any. I could see all the curtains open as we walked by but the insisted none were available.Last night we tried once more. It's a big deal if we can afford a real bed for the night to us, since we get off work at 12 and have to be out in less then 12 hours, and we were charged 125 this time. The room was upstairs and it was soooooooooooo unbearably hot I almost had to call an ambulance. I have an overactive thyroid and intolerance is one of the problems of having the overactive thyroid. We called the front desk and the woman was SO RUDE! She said it was too bad we could not switch she would not issue a refund and she did not care and hung up on me! The temperature was 98 degrees. The AC barely worked and it wasn't until 5 am the temperature inside was down to 94.People who take advantage of lower income to middle income families like we are, get away with this type of stuff. We let them into our country, provide jobs, and homes when so many of our own people are without, and then they take advantage of us! What's right is right, and this isn't right.And again last night

Room was nice and clean. Don t let the lack of cars detour you from staying. We were a little worried but the room offered everything the major chains offer and we saved 90.00 a night. For the price, it was more than we expected! Shower was hot and had great pressure. And again everything was clean! The only possible negative was beds weren t the best but weren t terrible either. The pillows could ve used upgrading too. I would stay here again for sure! There is a little Mexican restaurant on the hill that was within walking distance that was great also!

Filthy rooms, people driving around the hotel all hours of the night. 300 am music coming from the back of the hotel was loud and obnoxious. Shower curtin needed washed, beds were like sleeping on a rock. Left the next morning. Couldn't get away from there fast enough. Didn't even care about the second night pay back. Honestly the place needs shut down and torn down

Recently we had a large group stay at the hotel. The owners were very hospitable. The cleaning crew were attentive and always available.Walkability: Many near by restaurants and grocery.

The bed in room 225 was like laying on box springs. No way someone could sleep on that. Asked to be moved and was told we could only be moved once NO REFUNDS! Checked out room 208 and it was the same. Moved in 201 which was a little better and I stress "little". All rooms had a bad musty odor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for any price. DUMP!

We're stuck between homes right now and the staff at Stratford has been amazing. The rooms are pretty good, housekeeping has been great. Sitting outside we've been able to see fireflies, squirrels and a hawk within 30 feet. This is kind of home for a week or two and we feel blessed to have found this hotel, especially after the run down places we've had to stay in!

Terrible customer service. Not one but 2 employees. Would not even help with recommendations for a place to eat. No internet, no alarm clock, no breakfast (Expected maybe coffee in the lobby like the other hotels)All hotels I have stayed at honor online price as a late walk-in. Especially when slow. Not here...Charged $11 more .We were tired so decided to stay anyway and pay the extra money. Was given the code for the internet...which they knew was not working,( I found out in the morning when I needed it and it was not available. I was told they were upgrading system)I asked since there was no breakfast, not alarm clock, not internet would they honor the online price. Still no...would not even let me in the lobby. Talked to me through a partially opened door. Had they been honest and told me that the things the website showed the hotel had, were not available and honored the online price I would have been OK.Reason for no alarm clock...I was told people steal them so they quit putting them in the rooms. Rooms are older. Appeared clean but NOT well maintained.I don't know if all this was because they are too stressed out with Covid-19. I don't understand how you can be in the hospitality industry and respond to a guest the way they responded to me. Stayed at 2 other hotels that week. Both honored online price, had coffee, helped with eating suggestions etc. Completely different experience.

It's a good location, is probably the best prices (cheaper), front desk people are very polite and friendly. Unfortunately, at the same time the place seems a bit dated, beds are not too comfortable. Room was clean, but we were not able to sleep too well any of the nights, bit we accepted it, it's what we paid for, so no complains here.

We spent the weekend here. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Our room was nice sized, with two beds, a table, microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV the bathroom could have stood to be a bit bigger. My wife & daughter loved the pool, it's 6 foot at it's deepest, with chairs and loungers & two tables around it. It's close to restaurants & gas station, just right off the main 4 lane, just a few minutes from Walmart, movie theater, and other restaurants. It's somewhere I'd stay again if I were traveling to that area.

First of all, the room was old but it was clean. Ididn t expect much for the price so no complaints there. However, the room smelled unbearably musty like there was mold and mildew. The carpet and the sheets seemed damp to the touch. I went to the desk to ask if we could move rooms, and the guy said all he could do was give us some febreeze since I already signed the paper . Say what? No refund or anything. I gave him the hotel key and said bye. $80 down the drain. Do yourself a huge favor and stay somewhere else.

Very nice place, it's clean, it smells clean, the staff is very nice. Price is midrange, 75.00 after tax for a double non smoking room. Only drawback is you have to walk to the end and down the stairs for ice there is no soda machine, but you can buy beverages in the office that are kept cold. It's quiet, easy to find, it's right off the highway. And very comfortable.

Our one night stay was great! Comfortable beds, clean, all the amenities anyone could need. Breakfast wasn't expansive, but just enough for what we needed. Grounds are clean and well kept, even has a beautiful koi fish pond. Excellent price, and way more value than you would expect from a low-priced motel. We would stay there again.

If I could leave a lower rating I would! This is a cheap, dishonest hotel! Accidentally booked here and immediately called to cancel. They told me to call the next morning to talk to the manager. Talked to the manager and said they didn't charge me, but they did! And then wouldn't refund! And charged "an extra adult" fee! The room that was booked was a two bed, room and would've been myself, my wife, and two young children, 5 & 11. An "extra adult fee?!" Cheap and dishonest, stay far away from this hotel!

This is great little independently owned motel. It's certainly nothing fancy, but that's not why you stay here. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The owners are absolutely delightful. It's located away from central Ellijay, so you don't have to deal with the weekend crowds. Still there are plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again if I find myself in the area.

I noticed when I stayed at this place a year ago, the room was very updated and clean. I know they are working on updating the whole place, but the room I got this year, while clean, still had a bit of a musty smell to it. The breakfast was okay. Pretty old furniture, also. I hope they get it up to par with last year's room soon.

The room we had smelled musty. The beds were hard, the pillows thin. There were three of us in a double room. The first day we had 3 towels and 2 wash clothes. The next day I stopped by the office and asked if when they clean our room could they put extra towels and wash clothes. The lady at the office said they would but they did not. I went to the office to ask for an extra towel and wash cloth. The man at the office told me he could give me a towel but he did not have any wash clothes. I told him there were 3 of us and we needed 3 wash clothes. He said he would see what he could do. Well we never got another wash cloth. We kept the air on 61 and it was not cold in the room it was cool. Also we saw a roach crawl across the wall.

The Staff was welcoming when we checked in. Room was large, Big T.V, refrigerator, microwave also a small coffee maker. I rated a 3 because of the cleaning of the room. Behind the beds, Couche and alongside the walls of the walls looked as if it had not been cleaned in years. The sinks took a while to drain after every use also the commode handles would stick after every use. There was hair left from the tenet before me in the shower and I was a bit concerned about the mold on the ceiling of the restroom. The room service/keeper was just a little rude when asking for another pillow and sheet. We received the sheet but was told "NO" we could not have. Never gave a reason why.

Owner/Managers are pretty okay. Some people on our crew had trouble with cleaning team walking into the room, regardless of telling them in the moment no cleaning necessary.While the place wasn't totally gross, it does need some fixing and upgrades to have more appeal. Water damage in ceiling and cabinet by sink. Tiny bathroom barely two people can fit in, but water pressure was good and hot water every day for a shower was appreciated.Only major issue, for me, and it's a big one... Was BUGS! Roaches, primarily. Only 1 a day, in our room, generally, but c'mon every day for 2 weeks?! They need better extermination practices here, but mostly it's ok. Breakfast was a joke. Huge kitchen area with full size appliances, but it's only for hotel staff to make their own food with. Breakfast for customers is cereal and milk, bread, prepackaged muffins or donuts etc which is good, but not enough for the amount of people staying there at the time

I stopped here for a night on my way to Atlanta. Nothing too fancy, but very clean. The beds were comfortable and overall the place is very decent and fair for the price you pay. The parking is limited but the staff was very helpful and willing to let me park close by. The pool was good and clean. A good place to rest and stay.

Horrible hotel! Worst one I ever stayed at! There was pee on the walls, the tub was disgusting and hair on the sink and hairdryer. We tried to talk to the front desk person and she refused to send anyone to clean. We even contacted the manager and he refused to help. We contacted the Health Department and BBB about them.

We set up a reservation to stay for a friend's wedding and wasn't in the room 5 minutes before going to back to the front desk. There was dead bugs in the air conditioning and on the floor as well as in the bed. Crumbs, and hair on the sheets, easily noticable. Asked for another room which was worse. The guy at the front desk didn't seemed surprised at all, he was understanding and friendly. They did however gave a full refund with no charge. Would not recommend though.

Front manager was by far the rudest person I have encountered thus far. We had a reservation for 4 rooms, fully paid in advance, yet the front manager only accepted 3. We had to pay an additional night just to make sure we had rooms for everybody. Rather than helping us sorting it out he became defensive, said that we had to figure this out with the reservations company. It was not his job to do so. They happily make contracts with reservation agencies like price line, hotel.com etc but they are not at all happy to help you if something goes wrong. Considering they are the ones making the contracts with the reseration companies it should obviously be their responsibility to figure it out. Not this guy. Just a little over a month ago I had to call the same motel and ask why they charged one of my employees credit card that they apparently still had on file. He became defensive again, said he could not talk about it with me but eventually refunded the money he owed the employee. Stay waway from this place. Not worth the hassel. 0 customer service.
