I have to give them 5 stars because they did right by my husband. He has been going there for years and he took his new car there for for a tire change and the lug nut was broken off because it was put back on poorly. It started off shaky because it seemed as the owner was trying to avoid fixing the issue but thankfully this business operates out of integrity and will be fixing my husband s car properly.

I took my vehicle there because it was shaking whenever I came to a stop. The owner Jose said that he was 99% sure that the problem was rotors or brakes. They called me the following day saying that my vehicle was ready for pickup and the charge was over $470 for front rotors and brake pads. I agreed to pay but when I got there my vehicle was shaking just like it was when I dropped it off there. We had a heated discussion about him charging me for rotors and brakes and that not being the reason for the shaking. He made up some excuses about me not explaining the problem correctly when I clearly told him that the car was shaking. Any professional mechanic would have test drove and diagnosed the vehicle before doing any repairs. I told him to take his new rotors and brake pads off my vehicle and put my old ones back on it. He told me I still owed him $190 for labor that took 15 minutes to complete. I know that because I watched them put my old ones back on. That was the WORST experience I've ever had with a repair shop. I'll make sure I share this with EVERYONE!!!Part2 I just finished reading the other reviews for this place which i should have done before going there. I see that I'm not the only one that received the worst treatment ever. There is one thing I can say about them, and that is they are consistent with the mis-treatment of paying customers.

I would just like to say that I have been to Southern Tire & Auto many times having everything from tire work to engine work done and they always take great care of me at a very fair price. I would recommend this place to anybody!

Wish I could give zero stars . I prayed to have a good experience with these ppl and it didn t go that way as soon as they jacked my car up the whole vibe changed the front desk lady started giving Karen vibes I m guessing b/c she didn t have a clue to what s actually going and she actually tried to toss my receipt at me idk if it s bc I m black or she treats everyone this way. Jose (maybe the owner)ego is so big you cant voice your concerns w/out him getting argumentative. He starts telling you how long he been doing his job even when you re asking valid questions. It s some shady places out here be careful. And don t go here if you wanna ask questions about the service they are providing.

I came to get my tire plugged, & it was red flags from point of entry. But to make a long story short, I started to hear metal grind from the right rear tire ( the tire that needed the plug) 10 miles after leaving. Next morning I drove to work, still hearing the grinding, & said I'll take it back to precision when I get off. I get off work & the rim is on the ground because of how flat the tire is. I put the donut on, & came to precision where I was met with no accountability & a $65 charge for a used tire. I'm sitting in the waiting area as I type this very statement. I'm most definitely emailing corporate with the full version of my experience. This is unacceptable

My go-to for auto repair needs. My tire low air light came on, and I thought I had a nail. They checked all my tires and found low air on 2 tires. They inflated all tires to their proper psi and said change of seasons affected the tires. They were fast and friendly. Give them a chance to fix your vehicle. They service all of mine at fair prices and care.

I have been coming to this location since I moved to Georgia last year. I use to bring my 05 avalanche here and even bought 4 tires for it. I had a couple of issues with getting them to grease my avalanche. I had 7 grease zeros on that one and they would always pull it out without greasing it. I now have a newer silverado with a lift and large tires. I bought 2 tires they had to order to match me set. I also got a tire rotation and a synthetic oil change: grand total of a little less than $1000.00. This time I did not tell them when I dropped it off to remember to grease the zerks. So once again when I picked up my truck and stuck my head under to see if they had been greased they had not been. I explained to the very nice lady that works at the front the situation. She said she would take care of it and came out to get my truck to pull it back in. I walked up on the conversation between 2 mechanics where they were asking her what s this about we didn t grease it? I explained to the 2 of them that there are 2 zerks on my truck and they need to be greased. The woman explained to me that most cars don t have grease fittings. I m sure most cars don t but of all the trucks I have ever owned all have grease fittings. The mechanics seemed baffled by my accusations of not greasing. I stuck my head under (like i said my truck is lifted, it s easy to see) and showed them where the grease fittings are and explained that if he were to just grab his grease gun he could do it quick and easy. He then mumbled something with an F-bomb witch I ignored at the time. He said no and said he needed to put it on the lift. So after moving my truck again into the bay that had a lift he proceeded to locate the zerk. I asked him to clean off the zerk before hooking up the grease gun. He did not and attached the grease gun and gave it 3 pumps he walked over to the other side. I once again asked him to clean off the zerk before greasing it so dirt doesn t get in. He said quite snotty that the zerk has a spring loaded ball that will prevent dirt from getting in. So I explained to him that if the zerk is dirty before you hook up to it, all the dirt on the zerk gets pushed into the fitting. So he wiped it off and greased it. He then went back to the first one and wiped it off and greased it again (a little late for that bud). So after dropping almost $1000 he won t honer my simple request that literally takes .5 seconds to wipe off. I have accepted that most if not all oil change places wont grease vehicles any more or look to see if there are greased fittings, or even ask if the vehicle has them, but to give attitude, language, and literally do the exact opposite of what I requested in order to preserve the integrity of the fittings I had to post this review. What else do they cut corners on? And to literally listen to my request and not do it while I m standing right in front of him?!! What did he seek to gain from that? And to act like I didn t know what I was talking about only shows the ignorance of the mechanic. Not a place to trust or at very least the mechanics that work there cannot be trusted. What do they do or don t when your not watching?Update:I noticed a wobble in my steering after driving my truck for a couple of days. I chocked this up to me not being use to the new tires. After driving on the highway for the first time this morning I noticed the wobble significantly worse. When I got to work this morning I popped the covers off my wheels to find 1 lung but off (see picture). I put the lug nut back on and went to all the other nuts to check and found 2 more that I gave a 1/2 turn to. I then checked the tire pressure. The 2 fronts (the old tires) were at 40 PSI witch is the max allowed per the tire(see picture). The passengers side rear was at 56psi and the drivers side was at 60psi! 50% higher than what the maximum allowable pressure on those tires are. More about an oil filter but out of space. The owner informed me he can do nothing besides bring my truck back in (I have already fixed everything) and talk to his employees.

No stars at all to post I had to star it. He needs no business .I called this shop spoke to a lady told her in detail I had to use 2 forms of payment, one card had $30.20 and my other had 36.00 and I only had 14 cash with me, I literally on my way to my family owned construction job,to get my pay and finish the drywall I was doing.she said it would be $61.00and some change so I made check my balance and told her how much on each before I drove up there with 3 screws in my tire 2 I d plugged to make it to a shop.well as I about the time I get in there I had gotten an alert he had just enough time to unscrew my tire and I had to run in there jumping cause I was trying to stop him from doing anything to my car because the alert was someone unauthorized use my card I don t use 34.99 . The owner says if screaming let me do my job, and now if you need something or need to speak to someone come to me .which I was .. I was trying to get any one their attention so the other man wouldn t do anything until I could figure out how my card was used, so I d be able to pay for his services. I m saying wait wait don t take my tire off cause I got an alert my money was just taken out my account, he says yelling oh you just got an alert it was taken off,but mocking me and yells stop don t put her tire back on don t take it off she don t have any money yells this from the front to end of the shop, then he continues on to say why would you have me to go to change the tire and you knew you didn t have the money . .. I had stop the man whom was touching my car the took the wheel off and it was that fast I tryed looking for one them I. The office to tell I had to run out get 3 other people attention to get the one man s attention to stop and I told him don t work on tire cause my money was just taking out my account showed the boy the alert. Why would I d came up there and wasted my time if I didn t have money in my account, so I m calling the card and they said no refund I had to do a dispute, the transaction, but to call the headquarters of the company that took it out, so by this point the owner was rude I d told him I had 46 dollars the cash and 30.20 on my other card.if he could had just fixed it I d bring him the rest up there. Or just waited until I d gotten it situated, instead he says you need to hurry and let me know what to do. I had said do not take my tire off. I don t have the funds on there now I had just watch a lady walk out cause they given her 2 prices on a plug, and he was rude then finally after he had triggered My ptsd id said hurry up I hot to hot out from this man yelling and rude before I bust him In his mouth , I ask how much do I owe he said 20.80 ft or my own tire , cause they did not do anything yo my car but taking the wheel off and I stop him. I ended up calling the police because he was rude disrespectful . I stopped them before they did anything to my tire for him to charge me that much for nothing literally. Never would I use this place . Or would I advise anyone with ptsd to go around this man ..Service: Tires

I had the Hiram location put tires on my nearly $60,000 15k mile car in an attempt to fund the ""mom and pop" stores rather than a dealer. They caused cosmetic damage to pristine wheels that had never been touched. This was due to using the wrong tool to remove wheel weights. When I spoke to the owner (at this location) I was told a blatant lie. That was normal and that the machine did that. I've personally changed thousands of tires and not once done this. All it took was a plastic scraper to perform the job properly. The owner then went on to tell me that I should "just take a sharpie to it". Literal chisel gouges in my wheels. A sharpie. I was then even told that if I didn't want the service performed that way I shouldn't come to them. Duh. I did my best to calmly come to an agreement with the owner to help get the wheels repaired. Only to be told he'd call me and then radio silence. Just ghosted me. It's sad that hack mechanics get away with this stuff every day. All he had to do was offer literally anything. I couldn't even get an apology from this guy. Much less a few bucks to even help in the repair. Now that I'm out $600 to fix his techs negligence, I'm here to hopefully keep it from happening to anyone else.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I brought my truck in to get rims and tires. I was looking at the same . Rims online. They were $100 cheaper at Southern tire then online and I didn t have to pay for Shipping and handling. Plus I got them that day and didn t have to wait. Everyone is extremely friendly and nice. I don t need tires often but when I do the tires I ll go there.

I called the day before to see if they do electrical on an Audi, and they said yes. I told them my passenger window was closed half way and wasn t going up, and also told them that the driver window wasn t working. They told me they didn t do electrical work on Audis when I got there. I left my car there so they could attach the under car shield (2 pieces), which they said they would do, and an oil change because I drove 30 minutes believing what they told me over the phone and didn t want to waste my time. I came back the next day, and both windows were down, and they only put back 1 piece of the shield. I couldn t get the windows back up, and they gave me an attitude when I asked them why they didn t put both pieces of the shield on, and asked how they lowered the driver window. They said it didn t need the 2nd piece of the shield, and they didn t know how the driver window came down . They tried putting the driver window up, but realized that they couldn t, because it was an electrical issue. I drove away with the car in worst shape, then when I brought it in. This place is a circus.. THEY WILL BAIT AND SWITCH YOU!!!!!

This place is like family, literally! I'm not only going to give them a good recommendation or review because it's family. They really do good work. The work is quality, they take their time and the man who worked on my car went above and beyond to try to find out everything that was wrong with the vehicle as far as the oil leak, he wrote everything down for me so that I would know in case I have any questions. They're just very professional but at the same time, you feel like family as soon as you walk through the door. I watched the way that my cousin spoke to the other customers and she treats them and talks to them the same way she talks to me, like family. They have a good place going and she works very hard and drive very far to get to work everyday so she's definitely got her heart in it and in the right place and she will help you anyway she can. She's a good person. Anybody that goes here knows that Diane is just wonderful! The whole staff seems to be great I'm very professional and they really know what they're doing!

Came in for a nail in my tire. Left the vehicle for 3 hours, even got call that the work was completed and ready for pick up. After pick up noticed the low pressure light was on so when I got home looked at my tire and saw the nail still in the tire. Drove right back and had to wait 45 mins for them to do what they said had been done already.Wouldn't trust themService: Tires

I wanted to give this place a big shout out for there service. I was going on a trip to blue ridge, ga and I thought I had a nail in my tire. So I randomly decided to stop here after having a not so good experience at mavis tires by Walmart in Douglasville even though the manager reframed the bad experience I had there. They came back to me and said there was good news. The mail was not in my tire. So I didn t need it fixed and there would be no charge for there service. How wonderful is that. You do not find some places that do that. I commend them for there honesty and great customer service that they provided for me along with the time frame it didn t take all day only about not even 30 min. When I went to mavis tires they left me sitting there for over 5 hours to do a alignment. Way to go southern tires. I would recommend them very highly

My man took my car up there for a tire for me about three weeks ago. And it kept going flat. But everytime I tired to call or go up there no one was there or answered the phone. I even called the shop next door the day after the holiday they were supposed to be. Open. Out of 60 bucks.

I love this family owned business! It has the old fashioned 'mom and pop' vibe, which is rare now a days. There's a husband and wife team who are always helpful and try to get great deals on a set of tires. If they're not too busy, you can expect to wait no longer than 30-45 minutes. Back in November 20', I ordered 4 Toyo tires and only had a 30 minute wait time. However, I had to wait over a hour on Tuesday. To their credit, they work off 'first come, first serve' basis and every bay had a vehicle in it. My service tech, James, was respectful and fast with rotating and balancing my tires. Once my car was put on the rack, he was finished in less than 20 minutes. I'm a customer for life!If I had to recommend anything, it would be possible appointment times and re-opening the guest waiting area. Due to covid-19, guests have to sit in the area where they are working on the vehicles. The noises are quite loud and I'm not a fan of smelling different car fumes. In comparison to my overall experience, these recommendations do not change my 5 star experience!

Had a nail in my tire. Southern tire plugged it. He said because of where it was it may not hold. It did hold. Decided to get new tires because I had very little tread left. Within 30 minutes they were almost done. My brakes were getting low, so I decided to get brakes on the front. With all that was done it only took 1 1/2 hours. They were competitively priced and very nice.Very wary about some places in Douglasville like 3 hour wait time for about oil change with just a few people in the establishment. 4 hour wait just to pull my vehicle tip check my tires.I don't have a lot of time just to wait. I appreciate them finishing quickly.

I purchased tires at another shop but I brought them to Southern Tire to get a second opinion. Jose helped me identify any inconsistencies and treated me as if I was a normal customer, regardless of where I purchased my tires from. They have made a customer for life with me and I will now use Southern as my 1st stop when I need car help. The whole staff was friendly and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed there work environment. The service I needed was extremely quick and affordable! I wish I would have purchased my new tires from Southern Tire. Next time you are in need of service or tires I highly recommend Jose and his staff!

I brought a tire in from a different car to be replaced and they were so friendly, fast, and affordable! Not only that, but I mentioned that I needed new tires for my car soon, but they are a strange size and hard to find. They not only found the tires I need but were able to give me a quote on the service which was far better than any place I've been to. Not to mention everyone was SO nice and friendly. I'll be going to replace my tires there next week.

I love these people. Low car friendly, will work with you to get the job done. My car is lowered pretty low (3 inch clearance) and I needed new tires asap for a trip. I was turned down by 4 other tires shops, aggravated, because its not that hard, I tried these guys out due to being next to a taco bell, lol, and they said absolutely no problem, and got to talk shop while they mounted my new tires. Will be only place I go in Douglasville

I came in with brake problems. I told the mechanic the problem I had and told him I had already had it diagnosed. He told me that there was no way possible that what I had mentioned was the problem. So I allowed them to swap parts . Grant you I did have some brake parts that I had burnt up and they needed to be replaced. Came to pick up vehicle drove once and problem still exists. They only know how to throw parts at the problem. The owner had told me that we could try replacing the brand new parts to see if that would fix it. Decided to take to a mechanic that would fix problem instead of allowing me to have a wishing well to toss money in hoping it would fix it. Came to pick truck up and one of the rude techs told me my truck was a pile of junk. Did not appreciate paying $1500 to not have problem resolved and to be told I have a piece of junk. If you just want parts changed yeah maybe but if you want resolved problems not the place.

I went to this place for some used tires. My vehicle was riding terribly. Three weeks after replacing the tires one of them blew out. I knew there was no warranty on used tires but spoke to the owner and he looked at the tire and then gladly replaced it at no charge. My vehicle continued to ride terribly. Pulling so hard to the left that I could barely steer it.I took it back and owner checked it out.Long story short, I needed an alignment. After taking the tires off and inspecting, the problem was much bigger. They had all of the parts IN STOCK! They even threw in a free tire because of the damage riding with damaged ball bearings and pistons had caused.I was blown away by their professionalism, courtesy, and customer service. Now my car rides sooooo smooth! I love it! I'm very happy! Will always take my car back here for service!

They were super friendly and got my car in and out in about 20 minutes. I was planning on buying 2 tires but the mechanic came back to let me know I only needed one and he didn't want me to spend more money than necessary. I'll definitely be back.

I will never go anywhere else. This day and age it is almost impossible to find a place that you can trust. I have bought tires here whenever any of our cars need them, oil changed and now my brakes. It was a great price and incredible job. It is nice to know you will have your car done right and at a good price. They are very honest.
